East Gate Chinese and Japanese Restaurant
They are always so welcoming and quick, this is our go to ACYE sushi place 😋 and it’s BYOB too! I love that they also have training chopsticks for kids!
9/22/24 Sunday dinner... Sushi and more!! Still great, still BYO. 4/16/23 back for more... Still great (everything). FYI there is a great wine & beer store just down the road (West) for your BYO.... An easy 5 minute walk. 11/26/22 been back several times but I've slacked off with my updates here. Well, things are still really good. Sushi is fresh and service still really good. I used a thermos to bring in my hot saké (worked great). Summer 2019: We've been coming here for a few years. BYO is such a bonus :) nice staff and usually quick service. The food has been fresh and we love the all you can eat option. (Really, that is the main reason to come here). At 3p on a Sunday... Everyone else has gone and we are the only ones here ..... So nice and quiet. Wish they had yellowtail on the sashimi portion of the AYCE menu... But they have it on the sushi part... The BBQ squid is nice as is the shumai. My GF loves it here. Ok, it's an hour later and we are still here... Eating... We are up to 5 tiger rolls!! Plus all kinds of other stuff... Lol .. so good. We are getting ice cream too- of course traffic is bad going back into NYC... We may eat more ;)
Good Fortune Restaurant
Long overdue. Almost reticent to write this review, as I’d like to keep this place as a secret for myself. As far as “Americanized “ chinese food this is the absolute best. The two young ladies that (i guess are part owners) are personable and caring . Probably my 15-20th time here in the past 3-4 years and it’s just plain good. I love Family’s bar scene, however their food doesn’t touch Good Fortune. As well they’ve got 2 great bartenders! Donny will tell you a tale while making you a great scorpion 🦂 bowl!!! Thank you !!!
Great food. Good cooks reasonable prices. Awesome noodles!

I really enjoy coming to this place. Nice atmosphere, and the food is great. 3 tables, and a men's and women's restroom for customers. I hope they have great success in the future, as they have left a positive impact on me!
Food was just fine. I especially liked the Crab Rangoon. It's a typical chinese-food restaurant that emphasizes takeout and delivery so the atmosphere was as expected if dining in.
Lucky Corner
everything was greatly wrapped and all, but the food.... I ordered a shrimp and Lobster Sauce and some other stuff, but this lobster sauce was expired. From smell to taste. LIKE. EVERYTHING tasted sour and expired. gave a terrible stomach ache after, felt a bit like food poisoning. You guys have got to check the food quality first before sending it out, come on guys. I'm glad we don't die anymore from diarrhea.
We had food for take out and brought it home. It was delicious! Crab rangoons are just like the ones I have been searching for that o had when I was a kid. Creamy and light crab, crispy and perfectly well done. This was our 1st time trying this place and we will definitely order again.
Hong Kong Express
Best Chinese food around without a doubt!!!! I’ve been a lot of places searching for good Chinese food and this is the place!!! Service is great, food is hot and plentiful. Always leftovers. Always order from Hong Kong express! When you schedule a pick up time just expect to be waiting about 10-15 minutes for it.
Food was bland and not at all worth it and after eating it i had that dry deposit on the top of my mouth (usually comes when you use old or reused vegetable oil) The young boy behind the counter who answered the phone was not at all interested in serving you and the place was very unsanitary. Idk how are they still operating under these conditions. Looks like they invested the bare minimum. Their menu online is not updated so you have to go in person to find out the real menu items. The only thing good and tasty was the fortune cookie.
Aki Asian House
Amazing sushi. Unique rolls that have variety in flavors. Each roll has so much flavor and is done very well. Service is great not much to complain about! Great sushi in downtown bloomfield, you need to check it out!
Cute little place that is very welcoming. They have nice and friendly staff, the atmosphere is pleasant and the food is fresh. I had won ton soup, my friend had disorders soup and we shared a boat for 2. The price was definitely worth it, the fish was very fresh and just delightful. Can't wait to go back honestly.
Aishah's Chinese Halal
Ever since I have moved to the south ward of Newark in July, this is the only place I get Chinese food from. So clean. So tasty. I love this spot. Not too long of wait times even with a rush. Forgot to take a picture when I first got it because it’s that good.
I order the same thing every time and the last 2xs I’ve ordered my food has been old, my French fries have been so hard I can knock out a window! I even called to let them know about it and they still sent horrible ones! And the food took over an hour and 15mins and I live very close to the area. They are not like they used to be.
Jersey Gourmet
Great service, very friendly staff , food is extremely tasty however I miss the self service of a real buffet. I highly recommend if you’re carrying out but self service buffet I wouldn’t , what happens if it’s busy and there’s only one cashier who’s doing everything ( cashing, serving, etc ) ?
Food is alright but thier time sucks! Never open on tge right time.. 10:30 posted theyll open 11-11:30 not cool..
Green Tea Chinese Restaurant
I recently visited Green Tea Restaurant and had a decent experience overall. The food was okay—not bad, but it definitely has room for improvement. Some dishes felt like they were missing a bit of flavor or freshness, and I was hoping for a bit more creativity or boldness in the menu. The service was polite and the atmosphere was comfortable, which made the visit enjoyable, but the food didn’t quite stand out. I think with a few tweaks and more attention to detail, this place could really shine. I’d consider coming back to see if they’ve stepped it up.
We ordered the ginger and scallion lobster, shrimp fried rice , chicken wings and crab ragoons. Our server/ bartenders name was Sam. He gave us great service with a smile and really made our dining experience a happy one .He is green teas shining star .
China King Super Buffet
Forgoing the usual Saturday visit, we blew in on Thursday at 1:30. Several steam trays were empty but were quickly replenished. Egg Foo Young so good. They have freshly shaved ginger that cleanses the palette between the courses and is a wonderful accompaniment. The sliced beef with broccoli florets in a sauce was tasty, as was the Gen. Tso’s chicken. Love all the shrimp recipes, pork strips and the various chicken offerings. The Hot and Sour soup needed more sour and a server brought over some white vinegar. That did the trick. The huge quantity of mushrooms are unnecessary for this recipe, something they’ve been doing forever. Quite a variety of Sushi. For picky kids, they even have Mac ‘n cheese, French fries, onion rings, etc. I’m an ice cream junky and there’s plenty. The desserts are good too. Still a wonderful value for the money. $13.99 p/p, making this restaurant ideal for large families to enjoy a meal together and not break the bank. The staff are very nice and keep the place clean and the food trays full. If you want a take-out meal, just fill a folding foam box and they weigh it: $6.50 per lb. Still a great deal.
I would definitely not recommend to go to this place for their lunch menu. The last time I visited for the lunch menu it was inedible. The food was cold and there was no selection. However the reason for the high rated review, it's because of their exceptional service and amazing menu when it comes to their dinner service. As a fan of seafood and sushi I can honestly say this place has a great bang for your buck, and makes you feel welcome every time.
May Flower Restaurant
May Flower in Ipswich, MA, is an absolute gem! The sushi here is incredibly fresh and delicious, with each roll crafted to perfection. The flavors are vibrant, and the quality is top-notch, making it a must-try for any sushi lover. Beyond the sushi, the Chinese food is just as fantastic—flavorful, well-prepared, and always served hot. Whether you’re craving classic favorites like General Tso’s chicken or a perfectly crispy spring roll, May Flower never disappoints. And let’s talk about the drinks—strong, tasty, and expertly mixed! Whether you’re in the mood for a Mai Tai or a Scorpion Bowl, their cocktails pack a punch in the best way possible. With great food, delicious drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere, May Flower is hands down one of the best spots in Ipswich. Highly recommend—five stars all the way!
I recently ordered takeout from Mayflower Restaurant, and their sushi was absolutely outstanding! Each piece was buttery and fantastic, highlighting the freshness of the fish. The sushi rice wasn’t hot, which I found to be a positive—it allowed the flavors to truly shine without being overwhelming. Even as takeout, the presentation was impressive, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and delicious. Overall, it was a superb meal, and I’m eager to return for more. Highly recommended for anyone craving exceptional sushi!
Ka yaa Ouaga
I wish I can put more stars. The food was amazing and the atmosphere very friendly. Coming soon. I love it
Two thumbs up! Best bbq chicken in town
