Jade Garden
FAST service. When she says “ten minutes” she means it!! They got the best lo mein and softest rice! NEW ice tea is the best ive tried anywhere and its only $2.50 for a huge cup! ( they gave it to us for free to try)
Another Chinese food restaurant that lack traditional American Chinese food flavor. Over all their flavors taste good but lack that traditional flavor of American Chinese food with unique soy sauce except their lomein which I find is the only piece of that traditional flavor is in along with the ideal texture, perhaps they reserve those flavors to that but is subtle. The rice has a subtle traditional Chinese food flavor despite being yellow and has a dry ish texture and is not oily don't know if it's just dryish from the boiling or all the oil seeped in and became dry while cooking in the wok but the flavor saves it. The general Gao chicken taste unique, a bit airy and lack chunks but the unique flavor keep it going a bit over done in sauce. Their egg foo young is great and isn't an oily thing in a tray looks like they drain it well. By far their best item are the chicken fingers which is the most flavorful I've ever had giving a intensfied kfc flavor and its meaty despite thick breading and tender. They definitely have a unique flavor and a unique soy sauce recipe going that is savory.
Pandan Asian Cuisine
Amazing Food wow Wife has been looking for a good Filipino Food Restaurant and she love this place and she is picky on her Filipino food. Try this place you will love it!
The food is good. I just don't prefer the sisig here. I think it's not sisig, it's more like dinakdakan because it has a ginger. But if you like that version, you might like it. The drinks are also good. Overall, the place is nice.
China Star
Ordered the poo poo player for 2 and large Shrimp fried rice. Everything was fresh, hot and good. Almost no grizzle on the boneless spare ribs. The beef teriyaki was thick pieces of meat and cooked well. Nothing was greasy. And the rice was fresh. When I order Chinese food I order from here and for the first time it was all on point.
Pros: Ordered pick up and food was ready when we arrived. Serving size was enough for two. Cons: The fried rice was just rice and some bits of pork belly. Nothing else. Super plain. The food wasn’t really hot and the pieces of pork were colder than the rice. The chicken was so bland. Almost as if they just baked the wings unseasoned. Overall it was an underwhelming experience and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
Aozora
I rarely eat Japanese food, but I went because my girlfriend frequents this restaurant. I am glad I did go! There were plenty of choices for me as a vegan. And everyone else enjoyed the sushi. Everything was brought to the table beautifully prepared and tasty! Our server was attentive to our needs and patiently explained everything to me as I was new to the experience. I will definitely be going back to try other dishes!
This place was amazing! Got seated right away and felt very cared for. My water glass was always full which I really appreciated. The atmosphere of the place was wonderful! Decorated very nicely for the holidays. And of course the food was incredible! Got a couple of sushi rolls, the salmon spring rolls, edamame and mochi ice cream for dessert. Loved it all, would highly recommend this place!
China Blossom
The food was Amazing. i’m so happy that they had plain lo-mein at the buffet instead of regular lo-mein. plain lomein should always be there. However the chicken finger could have used improvement the chicken was hard and should have been more soft. also the lunch buffet should have had egg rolls instead of spring rolls. but in the end the food was amazing and the plain lo-mein is the best.
Nice clean big place drinks were good but I wanted to order a combination plates and they only have them for lunch for dinner it’s either 29.99 buffet or seperate things I ended up just having my drink and leaving I was told if I sat at the bar I could order combination plate which made no sense
Peking Garden
This place lacks traditional Chinese food flavor the most in the area. It taste too Hispanic oriented. I would call this a Hispanic fusion Chinese food restaurant because it it lacks traditional Chinese food flavor. The general Gao chicken taste way too sweet and taste like apple pie and turns me off it's like a dessert. Feels like a place taking a crack at making American Chinese food and lacks the flavor , perhaps don't know the secret either.
Over $30 food was horrible, low mien wasn’t even cooked through & chicken teriyaki was burnt pieces put on to a stick with only giving 2 also egg rolls was dark inside like the egg rolls have been recooked few times Don’t waste your time ordering here then when I call they don’t pick up.
China Wok
Best Chinese food in North Andover! They give you a tremendous amount, great value, solid quality. Another notable characteristic is the consistency, you can expect the same quality every single time. Seems to be a small family run place. The young children are always at the business. Very efficient in their timing, never have to wait on the food when we go pick it up. Supporting a local business that gives great food and has tremendous amount of value for your money, no-brainer here. We will always come back.
The food has really gone down hill. I’m not sure what happened. The rice tastes old and lo mein has way too much oil.
Lee Chen Chinese Cuisine
On a business trip to Andover and was craving some Chinese, so I gave Lee Chen's a try bybmy hotel and was not disappointed! It's got less oil and MSG than some of my favorite Chinese, so the flavors don't punch as hard, but it definitely doesn't sit as heavy in your gut. Overall, very good Chinese, that doesn't leave you feeling guilty.
I must say that the quality of food is excellent. I was pleasantly surprised. My waiter was exceptional and he was kind enough to make something off menu for me (kung pao chicken). This place is an absolute gem in Andover.
Golden House Restaurant
The food has a general taste of over used oil in the rice and anything fried. The rice is very bland in flavor and that oily flavor taste is subtle but there where it's over powering from a lack of flavor. The general Gao chicken on one end taste good but there is sometimes a gamy flavor or a chicken going bad flavor, the chicken seems a bit undercooked, should definitely frie longer and work on that chicken going bad flavor. The combination plates are very plain and it's overall pricey for something not so fantastic.
This place is really unprofessional from workers to the owner. I placed an order on Christmas at 430pm. I waited an hour before I called them to see where my order was. I was then told that they were busy and only had one driver. I asked them how longer the girl said she couldn’t tell me that. I waited another hour and called again to speak to the owner this is now 2 hours later. I can hear him telling her to tell me if I don’t like it to go pick it up. He gets on the phone to tell me that he doesn’t know where his driver is at and he dont know what to tell me. Never again if I can give them a 0 a 0 is what the rating would be. Not a people person at all. Don’t know how he is even a owner.
Wahchung Restaurant
We ordered from here for the first time this evening, and overall it was a good choice. The portions were quite generous and they gave a quart of white rice! We had beef and broccoli, and the beef was tender and plenty of broccoli that was well cooked. It’s a little sweeter than I’m used to, as I like my food salty yet it was still tasty. The orange chicken was well cooked with a nice flavor. Most of all, I like supporting a small family business.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the area. The General Tso chicken is really good. The sauce is tasty and the chicken is crispy. The egg rolls are also pretty good. There crab rangoons are alright there a little sweeter then I like. And the chicken wings are great. The combination platter price is very reasonable as well. The food isn’t overly greasy and tastes great.
China Wok
Everything made fresh when order placed! Excellent quality and very friendly responsive employees!! My only choice for outstanding Chinese food! Crab Rangoon and House fried rice are outstanding!
Everything was very fresh and great quality. I’ve lived in Beverly for 50 years and this is my favorite Chinese takeout spot
China Sails
They are good but it lacks a traditional Chinese food flavor. Maybe they don't know the secret to those flavors, some places around lack those flavors I've noticed and some have it more intensified. The rice is the only thing that has that traditional flavor but is subtle. Overall the food has a fresh element to it, something about it, probably because they're light on sauces and soy sauce. The general Gao chicken seems airy and lack chunky meat and the flavor isn't exciting but you can eat it. The rice isn't oily which is great. The best thing they have in my opinion is their chicken teriyaki which is very juicy and chunky and melts in your mouth, very unique to other places. Overall if I want Chinese food I'd prefer a place that has more soy unique soy sauce based dishes with the rice and a traditional Chinese food flavor with the right texture control for different items.
The tofu with white sauce and the veggie fried rice were amazing! Fresh veggies Great portion size
