Go Chi
Second time eating here. Will definitely be coming back. Food is amazing. All the bad reviews are for stupid stuff like messed up takeout orders. I guess I’m on a quest to try every Ma po Tofu in Malden. This is the best so far. Super tasty. spicy and numbing but not too much. Clean new interior. Nice staff. A little pricey for lunch but you get what you pay for.
I am a huge fan of northern Chinese cuisine, and this place has something for everyone! My personal favorites were the frog legs, spicy chicken in wok, sizzling cabbage pork, eggplant, and stir-fry egg noodles. Everything was cooked and seasoned well. I will definitely be coming back with my family.
CONGEE HOUSE
Ordered pork and cabbage dumplings on UberEats, probably won’t order again. Frozen dumplings from supermarket are better $16 for 12 pieces, before tax, service fee, delivery fees, and tips
What a surprise! This unassuming restaurant turned out to be a hidden jewel. I almost left as soon as I walked in, but thankfully I decided to stay. The food was fantastic; I even ordered a takeout after my eat-in meal. This place definitely reminded me of your typical popular hole-in-the-walls in China that are always crowded with locals in the morning with no tourists. Congee House's menu is limited but its cooking turns out to be quite authentic. If you do appreciate a truly down-to-earth Shandong taste and you do find something you like there then this is the place for you. Otherwise, you don't bother.
Absolutely Asia
This restaurant is small . But has a fantastic welcoming atmosphere. And while not busy The person at the counter is very kind. And the music playing helps with relaxing and enjoying the time while u dine in. Also I get free soup if u dine in. Either a hot and sour or eggdrop soup.
I recently dined at this restaurant that left much to be desired in terms of service and quality. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and the staff's demeanor was unfriendly. Throughout the meal, I couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, which made for a discomforting experience. To add insult to injury, when I ordered a bottle of ginger ale, I was served one that was clearly expired. This lack of attention to detail and disregard for customer satisfaction was disappointing, to say the least. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to others based on my negative experience with the service and product quality.
Asia Wok
Like what is my life. First I find a bug in my shrimp fried rice at a different restaurant and now a stapler at this one. I don’t know if it came from the packaging the rice came in or the kitchen but all I know I found it in my food. The food is good but this is a big safety hazard. I tried one more time. I should have learned my lesson. The new picture are the ones with the hair. Yes hair.
The food didn't really stand out more than just another casual Chinese takeout spot. But their business hours and the fact that a hard hitting late night munchie after "forgetting" to eat the whole day with an empty fridge led me here - I'll bump them up to 4 stars. I'll be honest when I say that I found it rather weird walking into an establishment empty of customers and a full amount of staff behind the counters (5 in the kitchen, 3 up front). I tried to order from their kiosk, which didn't work, so ended up still having to chat with the kid at the counter who looked away the whole time while speaking under his breath. A little confused and very hungry, I finally asked him to recommend a tofu dish he'd eat...and he literally without a blink of an eye starts naming all the tofu dishes off the menu. Lol. Ok, here we go. It's probably hunger hitting hard and the sugar dipping too low that I finally just ordered away. Food came out really fast (note number of staff in kitchen; plus, it's a Chinese kitchen...with that number of staff), packed nicely and got me back on the road home. I didn't think twice as I ripped into the bag seeking hunger reprieve. Tofu with bamboo shoots? Ooh, not bad. Beef with Snow Peas? Tastes good except for the part that you over slurried it...total noob mistake. House fried rice? Let's just say Uncle Roger won't roast you. Will I be back? Maybe. But only when that late night munchie hits again and I've got nothing in the fridge to save a life.
Panda House
The food was pretty good. There was a lot of flavor and things were not too greasy as some of the other reviews and stated. We would definitely come back here and eat again from here. We had a variety of their food and everything came out delicious.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Panda House. The Mongolian beef was a letdown—there was barely any meat, and it was overloaded with onions and peppers, making it feel more like a vegetable dish than anything else. The pork fried rice was equally underwhelming, with almost no pork and very sparse vegetables. For the price, I expected much better quality and value. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back anytime soon.
Chin's Garden
This is the best chill out bar around. The lounge area is sick. Food is also very good. And of course, the staff is lovely
Rice was burnt, egg roll was overcooked, low mein tasted old. Genuinely thought some food tasted good but it all tasted either old or overcooked. Not worth 40 dollars. First time trying and sadly the last…
Chen's Garden
Great price for quality food and very generous portions. Came here for a quick lunch (it's take-out only) and it was ready in 15 mins. I checked out the bookstore across the street and went back with it being ready in no time. Awesome place. Gotta recommend the sesame chicken - my fave!
Very good typical food. Hot and sour soup was excellent. Very large walk in takeout order took 35 minutes during peak hours. Many others remembered to order ahead and had their orders waiting for them. Literally a mom and pop operation. Cash only works for us.
Family Kitchen
Food is great and staff is nice, however the wait time for delivery is insane. Be prepared to wait 1-2 hours to get food delivered.
The service was very good, everything was placed properly, nothing overcooked or oversalted, it was pleasant. We would order again.
Lucky Dragon
Have never been here ordered take out. Rice was hard no flavor. Lo mein was bad too. Crab ragoon tasted like straight canned crab with nothing else in it. Chicken in golden fingers tasted old and bland and both were very greasy. Egg rolls had strong weird flavor. Took one bite of everything and couldn't eat it. Frozen grocery store chinese food would have been better. Hands down the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life.
Sesame chicken and beef teriyaki were fantastic. As was the rice. Service was good and the prices were fair. Only thing I don't like is the generic duck sauce in packets. Nobody likes that stuff. Take the time to make your own, I know alot of people that look forward to the duck sauce from a Chinese restaurant. If it's something you squeeze out of a packet like ketchup, you're doing it wrong.
China Star
I came here around 7 pm 03/04/2025. My mother and I sat down to look over the menu. The owners were very polite. We ordered a house platter/ pupu for 2, great portion size, chicken wings were delicious and fresh, I LOVED the crab Rangoon. We will definitely be coming back! Nothing better than trying a new Chinese restaurant for the first time and being completely satisfied! Thank you China Star! ⭐️
Hands down the worst chinese ive had in a long time. Ordered mongolian bbq and aded to make it spicy; the food is boiled. No flavor at all and at the low price of 30 dollars what a deal! avoid this place.
China Star
We usually order here all the time for chinese for my whole family. They apparently changed the curry powder for the Singapore noodles and it completely sucks now. Theres no flavor, and no spice. But the chef insists he used curry powder. When its properly made, the noodles are very yellow with lots of spice specs. Last time i got them here, they had lots of heat. My family was already sitting and eating when i realized my noodles were wrong after picking up our order and bringing it home. They wanted me to pack up ( which includes having to bring my baby) the food and bring it back to have it remade, or for them to give me a refund. I wasnt going to stop sitting with everyone else who was already eating to pack up and go back for my money back or for a remake. Usually we love the food here. Was super disappointed tonight.
Overall really good a hint of Ginger which I could live without was really pleased that they gave us a free steak and cheese roll to try. My husband is going to buy them next time
Peking Garden
We showed up at 10:25 on a night they close at 11. We were on home from the airport. We expected okay food and service. What we got was super fresh food and amazing service. We got the Tidbit #1 and Fries. So fresh we had to let it cool down. Amazing. We will be back.
I ordered here twice, it was good! however, its too oily. greasy. the friend rice, you can taste the oil. but it was still good.
