Hot Space
We went there 5:30pm on Sat evening, not too busy when we arrived but in about 30mins the place start to fill up. Bull frog dish was delicious and good portion for 3-4 people. Staff was very attentive which was a great experience combined with great food
There are a very few Chinese restaurants that are authentic so this is definitely one! We ordered the spicy tofu flavor fish which was sooo good! It was just the right spicy and flavorful. With some rice on the side, it was just perfect! We also got some beef skewers and barbecue chicken wings to go and they were great too! But the fish wins any day! :)
吴氏鱼汤 Wu's Fish House
I recently ate at Wu’s Fish House, and it was so good! The spicy and sour fish soup was amazing—the flavors were just right. It had the perfect amount of spice and tang, and the fish was super fresh. The service was really nice, too. The staff were friendly and always made sure we were okay. They also helped us choose dishes, which was really helpful. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu. Definitely recommend checking it out!
I had a great time at Wus Fish House! The seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared, with bold flavors that really stood out. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere had a cozy, welcoming vibe. If you're a fan of seafood, this place is a must-visit
Spice House
The service in Spice House was really good, and the owner and waiters were very friendly – 5/5 We ordered the gongura chicken and the paneer kadai, and while the spice level is good, they were very salty though – 4/5 The ambiance was alright, relatively simple – 5/5 It wasn’t particularly crowded for a Friday evening, but it made sense for Thanksgiving weekend While it isn’t a restaurant that I would go out of my way for, it is a restaurant that I would consider returning to in the future Overall rating of 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the food
Ordered daal makhni and fish curry which costed me almost $35 and let me tell you this was the worst daal makhni i have ever had in my entire life. Not fresh at all.. the fish curry was edible but we had to throw away the entire daal makhni. It was that bad.
Tasty Moment
The soup dumplings and bao buns here are excellent—juicy and flavorful, especially the buns, which surprised me with how juicy they were. There’s usually a wait, but the front desk lady is always super nice and helpful, making the experience more pleasant. The spicy cold noodles are also a standout, with just the right amount of heat and flavor. However, dishes like the fried rice, thick noodles, and stir-fried shrimp are good but fairly typical, nothing extraordinary. Overall, it’s worth visiting for the dumplings, buns, and cold noodles. The friendly service and standout dishes make it a place I’d return to despite the wait.
Dined there for the first time …for a Monday at 7pm this place was packed and now I can understand why. My daughter and I choose this place to have her birthday dinner and we were in for a treat The menu is extensive and the service is top notch. When I try a new place and especially one with so many options we went a bit overboard 😊. We ordered the pork and shrimp dumplings, chengdu noodles , soba noodles with chicken , spare ribs , pepper steak , cumin lamb, spicy pork buns, crispy eggplant with sweet and sour sauce All the dishes were great each with their unique presentation and flavor profile. My favorite were the spare ribs and the pepper steak We will be back to try some of the other gems
Nai Brother Edison 奈哥酸菜魚NJ
The food here is absolutely delicious, especially if you’re a fan of spicy flavors! One of the best parts is that they offer personal-sized portions, so you don’t have to commit to a large order—very thoughtful. The price and portion size are a fantastic deal. And while my pictures show a lot of meat, don’t worry—there’s an amazing vegetarian version available too! You get all the flavor and satisfaction, minus the meat. How incredible is that?
Heard about this place from other people The food was great, but compared with B2J Fish Soup, their suerkraut soup was a bit too strong/ heavy, but both are delicious. B2J has light flavor but tasty These 2 spots are my favorite place now 🥰 You must try this Nai Brother, Recommended 😊👍
Ugly Dumpling - Edison, NJ
Ugly Dumpling in Edison has truly set a new standard for Chinese cuisine in the area. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and efficiency, setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. One of the standout aspects of our visit was the exceptional service. Bryan, our server, was incredibly helpful and attentive. He guided us through the menu with expertise, recommending dishes that we might not have considered otherwise. His insights were spot-on, and we were grateful for his assistance in making our meal truly special.
Our go to restaurant for dine in and take out, the food is immaculate, service is very fast, prices are reasonable, and great vibes for friends and family. Highly recommend the steamed pork BBQ buns and the chicken fried rice (gluten free!). Many gluten free options on the menu and the staff is always welcoming.
Lucky Star Tasty Food
Service is great, good value, and something unique in Edison! Not intuitive to order, so start with peanut noodles and go from there.
This restaurant is lowkey goated. Food is crazy good. The chefs are cooking fr. No cap, y'all gotta try this place. The noodles are scrumpdiddlyumptious. Skibidi.
Wonton Guy
If you’re a dumpling and Chinese foodie enthusiast like me, Wonton Guy is a gem you need to visit. Nestled right next to HMart in Edison, this spot delivers incredible flavors with impressive speed. I stopped by for an early lunch, and here’s what I ordered: 1️⃣ Dry Deep-Fried Fish Skin: Perfectly crispy and seasoned just right, this was an addictive snack to start the meal. A textural delight that’s light yet indulgent. 2️⃣ Shrimp Wonton Noodles (Lo Mein): Silky smooth wontons packed with juicy shrimp paired with chewy lo mein noodles. The balance of flavors and textures was spot-on. 3️⃣ Fish Dumplings: Fresh, flavorful, and plump, these dumplings had the perfect bite. Each one was bursting with a delicious fish filling, and they were perfectly cooked. Service was incredibly quick—everything arrived piping hot within minutes. The flavors reminded me of authentic Hong Kong-style comfort food. Highly recommend for anyone craving a no-frills, high-quality meal. I’ll definitely be back for more!
These are no joke legit noodle and wontons. I heard Edison NJ had some really good Chinese food but I wasn’t expecting this level. I LOVE shrimp wontons (big fan of Noodle town in Manhattan). And large wontons are basically non existent. There’s a place called Maxi’s Noodle in flushing with 2 locations. I love them also, as they are the only ppl to do LARGE wontons really really well… at least until trying WONTON GUY. I think THIS place is as good if not better. The soup base is really rich and light at the same time (a feat not everyone can do). Egg noodles were great and the service was excellent. Simple operation it seems but damn it if they don’t do it f*kin well. If you’re a fan of wontons, this is a MUST try. You won’t regret it.
Noodle's Time 面缘
This seems to be frequented by locals. The food is average. Friendly but recognize this seems more like a family business which btw I enjoy going to giving these type of establishments my business. They have a special spicy noodle soup not found else where. Otherwise, nothing special.
Revisit after many years- loved every item we ordered! Great value!!
Yi Pin Xiang Restaurant
HANDS DOWN.....my personal top 3 favorite chinese restaurant in jersey. no lie, everything on the menu is great but what i crave the absolutely most are the freaking meat freaking skewers. they're just so damn good. they offer the average dry rub and a super unique sauced version. i don't care to normally write reviews but i've been here every month for the past 6 months and i keep wanting more! high recommend you come here at least once just to try it! it is run by a bunch of family members so the staff is friendly and super chill atmosphere
I'm glad to hear that the former chef has returned to this Chinese restaurant. Your review adds appeal, recommending dishes like handmade sour cabbage dumplings, lamb skewers, and braised pork bones.tofu fried chilli.
Wonder Seafood Restaurant
I haven't been here in 10 years since I moved to another state. It tasted just like it did 10 years ago—so delicious, especially the lunch specials. They're cheap and big portions.
This traditional Cantonese seafood restaurant, located in Edison, has been a local favorite for years. Despite changing ownership a few times, it has consistently preserved its warm, hometown feel. The weekend Dim Sum is especially popular, offering a homely atmosphere paired with delicious, authentic dishes. It’s the perfect spot for family gatherings, where good food and a welcoming ambiance come together to create a memorable dining experience.
Red Onion
Food was so good. Glad they are still around. Got what we ordered fast. Such a big menu. So much more to try. Can't wait till it's summer to have the shave ice!
This place is super cute, found this place one day and went in and the staff were super friendly. The atmosphere is good here, very warm and welcoming. I would recommend this place, the food is pretty good and the price is really reasonable! Definitely worth a try and coming back!
