Been going here for 20 plus years. And it's just not the same. The portion size was pretty disappointing. I got pepper steak and the flavor was decent but it was all sauce and peppers and onions and a ljttle scoop of rice. only a hand full of small pieces of steak. My wifes almond chicken tasted decent but the breading was extremely soggy.

Food is always so good from here. You can tell they have many years of experience making these dishes to perfection. Also, Yena’s customer service is great and extremely professional.

All I can say is WOW!!! This is truly a Mom and Pop hole in the wow, and likely some of the best Almond Boneless Chicken I've had in terms of flavor! I made the "mistake" of ordering a dinner sized portion, thinking that the lunch size wouldn't be enough, but I was mistaken by a long shot. I wish I lived out this way as I'd likely order at least once a week!

HUGE portions, my box was breaking from the amount of chicken. Tons of sauce. Crab Ragoons are impeccable, they’re sweet and fried to perfection. Cheapppppp prices especially for the amount and quality of food. Even the vegetables were cooked well. Sweet, lovely couple running the restaurant. Absolutely amazing! This is our go-to!!!! Enough food for breakfast, lunch and dinner ✨🤩🌟💫

I’ve been coming here forever, it’s the best Chinese spot in the area! I heard that are under new management and still the quality is just as good! I definitely would recommend. My favorite order is the crab rangoons, the new owner updated the recipe and they’re 10x better than before, so delish. Def recommend the sesame chicken it’s bomb! Service was so great! I got my order in a timely manner and the girl in the front was so kind! def show them some love!

I was in the area for some food. The moment I walked it, I could smell the yummy food. They have a wide variety of sodas, which not many places have. I had come a bit late so my gravy was naturally cooling off so it was thick/watery but was awesome. The service is nice and if you have a problem, they get it fixed as fast as possible. They give a reasonable quantity of food for the reasonable prices they provide on the menu. I also like how sometimes, you pay beforehand if you get there early so it’s efficient for both sides. The service is clearly spot on, as written from other customers. If you’re in the area for food or craving Chinese-American food, check this place out, as I will be coming more frequently.

Just a brief review they are definitely quantity over quality and it's worth it. A meal is three servings no problem at all. More details when we get back from Hawaii look forward to those reviews!!

Not great, hardly edible. Packing was poor, sauce everywhere. Had to put the one meal in a different container. Consider tossing. No dining room area. Soup was the most decent thing there.

The food has improved greatly. My Egg Roll was crispy and Filled with sprouts and meat, Very Very Good. The Almond CHicken was crispy, not greasy and the gravy was seasoned perfectly. The Fried Rice was freshly made and had nice bright green chopped scallions. Best Chinese take-out Ive had in a couple years. I ll be back.

Omg so disappointed. I will never order again. $40 for two soups and lo mein and both were flavorless and disgusting. The wonton in the soup was half cooked dough with the meat inside. I've never had wonton with no filling in the dumplings. The lo mein was dry and stale tasting... I would not recommend

Awesome food here! The woman that owns this place is a great cook and she’s very professional. She’s kind to my kid and she gives her cookies!!! Very fresh dinner prepared each time I’ve been here.

This place used to be amazing. A lifelong staple up until the last few years. Went a long time without eating because it went downhill, but decided to try it again today. The quality of ingredients is obviously subpar, and the cook and flavor of the food is bad. They charge a little more than some other places, but wouldn’t pay highly affordable pricing for this. Chicken tasted old and frankly under cooked. Egg drop soup was meh, crackers were weird. Sweet and sour sauce tasted pretty bad and flavor was dominated by green pepper. Rice was very dry. Unfortunately, our families comments after dinner was “well it’s been awhile, and now we know.”

The food was good, spring rolls are a little skimpy, I wouldn't recommend any egg foo yung options, cooked differently than the norm, the people working there were friendly... we went on a Saturday and they usually get busy btwn 6 and 8..

The interior is delightful. This is definitely American Chinese fare - your not getting any blood soup here. wonton soup is fresh and light and served with sun racks. Egg roll is exceptionally fresh and delicious. Not a fan of the hot tea - tastes ok but smells like rubber. There is no General Tso/tao for lunch - dinner only. The almond chicken is fresh and light. The fried rice portion is small and mhe. Fast service but I think the waitress gave me a dirty look when I asked for a specific seat due to a health issue. Overall I’d give it a 4.5. Hard to find fresh good Chinese like this anymore.

Just do it. If you’re looking for solid Chinese takeout this is your place.. quality/quantity/price of food exceeded expectations. I’ve included an example of just their veggie fried rice I’m eating day 3 as leftovers, completely loaded with fresh veggies.

This place is so good! The staff is kind and attentive and the food is cooked to order. Hot, fresh, and delicious! I got my mom a Happy Family, I asked them to make it spicy and they gladly did so (and boy, did they deliver!), no complaints about the modification like some places do. I got the Curry Chicken Combination, which was quite honestly some of the best curry I’ve ever had. And the cheese wontons? Those, also, were the best wontons I’ve ever had. Crispy, piping hot, and fresh. Absolutely delicious!

Ordered the family almond chicken with egg drop soup and 3 egg rolls. After eating majoring of the entree my family started eating the egg rolls. As I bite into the egg roll I cracked my tooth! There was a ROCK inside of the egg roll. Tried calling them to fix the problem and they quickly dismissed me. I’m only giving 5 stars so people will see this! This was definitely a rock as I scrapped it against wood and it carved into wood! DO NOT EAT HERE!

The most flavor-less food i have ever eaten, I kid you not. A friend recommend we eat here so we gave it a try. I had high hopes for this place. It had the right esthetic and service but once I got home and opened the lo mein chicken and saw how pale and no seasoning existed I know I was about to regret everything following. I ordered for 5 people, 2 lo mein, a vegetable lo mein and 2 sweet and sour chicken. 5 egg rolls and 4 spring rolls. All of the chicken tasted like boiled chicken, awful. The sweet and sour chicken could of been good if the sour sauce had some flavor. My god how can someone mess up the sauce, yet they did. I saw the awards and recognition above their carry out window and I would have to say it doesn't add up. Save your money and just eat at home. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich would be a better option.

I normally don’t go out of my way to review but I just had to do it here. I was pleasantly surprised at the efficient service, reasonable price for the amount of food you get, and most of all the delicious taste. I’m a guy who has never been able to get behind the texture and aftertaste of egg rolls…until tonight. Their egg rolls are excellent. And their sesame chicken was hot and scrumptious. The ladies that were servicing me were both kind and hard-working. Thank you for making my night🙂‍↕️👍🏿

Disgusting. Chicken was raw. Didn't give me sweet and sour sauce for SWEET AND SOUR CHICKEN. waited an hr just to find out my order had been sitting on the table for 45 mins. The lady just acted like she couldn't understand me. So I had to re order. Now the bill went up 12$ after re ordering the EXACT same thing? Then icing on the cake was the exterminator that came in to access the. RAT PROBLEM they have been having. The lady was so mad that he said it out loud she tried to yell at him to come back later. DISGUSTING FOOD DISGUSTING SERVICE

Chee Peng is a quality small town restaurant, the staff is well mannered and friendly. Food here has always been of good quality. the dinner itself is dated and ready for a revamp imo. The bathroom need to most attention for remodeling. The crab lagoons are the best I've ever had. Bring yourself or your family.

The Inside of this place is disgusting. Water damage to ceiling and mold growing. Table was covered with cheap vinyl and underneath was filthy (see attached pics). It makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Service: Our waitress was friendly, however somewhat inattentive. My daughter and I were the only patrons in the restaurant and she spilled some water, it was almost 15 minutes before the waitress came back so I could ask for napkins. Food: egg drop soup was over salted and had almost no veggies in it, but tasted okay. The "general chicken" was overly sweet and had very little heat. The chicken was mushy and underdone. I have had general chicken many many times in my life, and I LOVE it, This was the worst I've ever had. I had to smother it in sweet and sour sauce to eat it. I traveled almost 30 miles to try this place because of the great reviews. I was severely disappointed - please read these reviews with a grain of salt. I was hoping to find a diamond in the rough but this place is not worth your time. You will get better Chinese food from a mall food court or an airport :(

The food was not good, we would not recommend. For $35 we got the chicken chow mein, orange chicken combo and the chicken fried rice. The chow mein was slimy in texture and not what I expected, the fried rice tasted flavorless and old. The eggroll tasted like it had been made 3 days ago. The orange chicken was the only edible items we got but definitely not the best we’ve ate and I would never eat again. Made my stomach upset. We will not be returning customers.

Their young son was a prude. He was told to seat my wife and I but instead he had a tantrum and another lady came and seated us. I was in shock over the young man's behavior and expected some respect as a patron.
