The most authentic Hangzhou food in MA, The star of the show is the [Dried Bamboo and Duck Soup]—make sure to reserve it a day in advance because they use the freshest duck. The Chestnut Chicken has a deliciously sweet flavor, and the best dessert is definitely the Rice Ball Soup. You have to try them!!! Don’t miss out on the handmade pork Baozi either. The service is excellent, and the dishes are full of flavor. The only downside is that it's a bit far from downtown Boston, so I always need to catch a ride with a friend to get here.

This time, I had the Stir-Fried Rice Cakes, Sweet Rice Balls, and Duck Stew with Dried Bamboo Shoots. The Stir-Fried Rice Cakes were perfectly chewy, with a deliciously savory sauce that kept me coming back for more. The Sweet Rice Balls were sweet and comforting, with a rich, aromatic flavor that made them a perfect dessert. But the star of the meal was definitely the Duck Stew with Dried Bamboo Shoots—tender, flavorful, and the bamboo shoots added a delightful crunch. If you're looking for authentic Hangzhou cuisine, this place is a must-try!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere -- plus tablecloths. Went again recently in May 2018 and hadn't been there in almost a year. Owner remembered us like she'd just seen us last week. Food was excellent. No free drink refills is a bummer, but fresh tablecloths makes up for it. I don't eat out much, but this is my favorite restaurant.

Better than good food, very nice people. On street parking. A Winchester stalwart. Open for lunch on Mondays, which many places in Winchester are not.

I’m not from Taiwan or the region, so I’ll leave the remarks about authenticity to others. I did stumble on a Taiwanese restaurant during a trip to China, and had an eggplant dish that I’m still thinking about five years later. So I thought I’d give this place a try. I was just about the only non-Asian diner—on a Saturday, the place was full of families. They were kind to find a spot for a solo diner.I ordered the Taipei beef noodle soup, which is spicy but not in a sharp jalapeño way, more of a dark warm heat. I also had the eggplant in garlic sauce, which resembled that dish I had years ago, though it was sweet (actually as if sugar was added) and what I had before was a bit dryer, and had just a bit more of a roasted flavor. This was a lot of food, but it all was so good that I almost didn’t have any leftovers. I’ll definitely be back.

It is very Authentic Chinese food , is tasty so yummy and beautiful,I will coming back next time , thank you so much!

This is not my first time ordering at this place at all now today while I was eating my food with no problem. While chewing my food I found a stapler on my food thank God I didn’t swoll it. Now I call the restaurant to refund my money that I payed they told me to bring the food and they’ll give me my refund back and not making me a New food that ridiculous😡🤬

I have ordered here before but my most recent order is my last!! I found moldy onion in my lo mein after eating a good portion of it and NOOOO it is not seasoning or anything else as i tried to scrape it off and i wouldn’t and it was on all the pieces. I didn’t even know what mold looked like on an onion I just found it and was curious then looked up on google what it looked like and it’s the same thing !! i was so disgusted and nervous about getting food poisoning and they had the audacity to only refund 10$ instead of the whole order, which to me doesn’t make sense due to if I got sick there would’ve been a bigger issue. There was so many more pieces but I was too disgusted to keep looking.

A really lovely place with decently affordable lunch specials. Fast and excellent service. Lunch special came with choice of crab rangoons or spring rolls as well as fried or steamed rice and hot and sour soup.

If there were half stars, I’d probably give a 3.5, but I’m rounding up to 4 because I would go back for sure. I started with a mai tai which was just ok. They don’t have a lot of tiki cocktails on the menu but maybe they can make the basics. I’ll try something else next time. For an appetizer we got crab Rangoon. It was minimally stuffed and not very good. It should be avoided. Dinner was much better. The half peking duck was good. The meat was excellent and the veggies were fresh, though the pancakes were more like a tortilla than a traditional peking pancake. The spicy sautéed cabbage was amazing. I highly recommend the cabbage, particularly with the duck. The service was efficient even though the dining room was pretty crowded. The atmosphere is nice, above average for a traditional Chinese restaurant. Bottom line: I’m looking for a Chinese restaurant near by to be my go to. I’m not sure this is it, but I would go back again.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ordered from! The steamed white rice was perfectly cooked—chewy and fluffy. The General Tso’s chicken was delicious, and since they didn’t have Orange Chicken, they went the extra mile to make us a special side. The scallion pancake had a wonderfully crisp texture, reminiscent of a Haitian pâté Kode without the filling. The vegetable lo mein was fantastic—even as someone who doesn’t like mushrooms, I found myself enjoying them. The egg rolls, however, were a bit dry and the filling wasn’t my favorite. One downside is that they don’t accept American Express, only Visa and MasterCard, so keep that in mind. Overall, a solid spot, and I’d definitely eat there again! Atmosphere is dry, old style could use a refresher.

I used to go here 5 days a week 20 years ago when I worked nearby. Today I happened to be in the area so I stopped in to get my old usual for lunch spicy green beans and an egg roll. Used to pay about $6 for the lunch but now was charged $20.54. Wow! Inflation! When I walked up to the counter I said I used to come here 20 years ago and I didn't need to look at the menu. I'll have the spicy green beans and an egg roll. The order taker asked me something I think about sizes and I just for me, one. While I was waiting I looked at the menu taped to the front window. It showed the lunch as $12.75 or $12.95. When the order was ready I asked about the price difference I was told I had to say the work "combo" or something like that. I mean it was 12:33 PM. Lunchtime. I mean, I am older but I don't eat dinner that early. So she tells me next time I have to say the magic word. I told her there would not be a next time. At the very least she should have asked me if I wanted the "combo" or whatever it is. I feel very ripped off having given her $8 more than what I should have paid for lunch. I will never go back. Remember to use the magic word if you go during lunchtime or you'll be charged an extra $8 for your lunch.

Great food and fast service. Probably because we were eating at 4:30 on a Tuesday night. Sesame chicken was great - no leftovers. Only complaint was that it was big size pieces. Plenty of sauce.

My family really enjoyed our food here. Stand out dishes. General gao chicken is excellent also the szechuan shrimp and lo mein. Peeking ravioli were wonderful as well. Great dining atmosphere as well.

Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Good portions. Flavorful. Have been twice. Will come back again. Salt n pepper chicken or shrimp! Yum!

Good food with fast service and reasonable prices. We stopped in for a quick dinner and ordered a few dishes and sushi. Everything was tasty and the portions were just about right for our party. Drinks were good but a little iced down. Overall a good place to grab Asian food with a large diverse menu.

Quality Chinese food at a great price, portions are bigger than your average restaurant. It’s tough to find quality and quantity nowadays but this place checks all the boxes. Consistent through out the years and a top 3 fave in my house hold!

They have the best lobster sauce and crab rangoons ever! The staff is extremely friendly, their prices a great, and the food is delicious!!

Gene's handpulled noodles are truly something special. Garlicky, greasy, with the perfect texture, aroma, and flavor. I used to get lunch at their Boston location when I worked nearby, and have missed them. Happened to be nearby for some errands and popped in to enjoy them once again. The #4 garlic hand pulled noodles really are a treasure!

highly recommend their lamb and cumin thick noodles! this restaurant is all self service (kiosk ordering) and their selection is not the largest, but their wide noodle soups are all delicious. Great prices too! Free street parking on the street or lot nearby. Short wait and positive experience overall.

This spot has been a regular lunch time visit because the taste and value is unbeatable. The Chinese takeout is super nostalgic as my parents used to own a takeout place as well. The thing to know is that a restaurant like this will always take care of you and treat you right!

Dropped in for a quick post meeting Lunch. Felt like getting some Chinese again. We ended up ordering from the lunch menu on a Tuesday. Good selection, and I opted for the Sichuan beef. And what I got was Soup (love me some hot & sour soup, just add a little chili oil ~ WIN!), and the lunch plate comes out pretty quickly. Good amount of proteins, and the pork fried rice was what i expected, and the chicken wings was nicely deep fried and not over cooked, also very juicy. Flavor of the beef was enjoyable, good balance of meat & veggies. Long as you're not expecting a grandiose Michelin experience, but a quick tasty bite. Do it. For the 2 of us, it was $30. Win in my book.

Walked in and ordered combination plate A19 Egg Foo Young with pork fried rice and got the chicken strips for the appetizer. Lady that took my order was friendly and said it would take about 10 minutes. This location has only 1 small table with two chairs and is largely a take out location. Food came out and was very hot and fresh. The box was full. It was very good and I ended up making two meals out of it. If you're in the area this is a good choice.

First time ordering takeout from this place, and I'm afraid is going to be the last one... I ordered Shrimp chow main, which had absolutely no flavor. It was watery with a few shrimps (from a frozen bag). I also got chicken dumplings and they were very disappointing. The box was soaking wet, and so were the dumplings...
