I had a light lunch at the China Wok. It's mainly a place to get take out, but I ate in. This is a very small place, only two tables, but the food is astonishingly excellent. Anyone in this area who wants Chinese takeout should definitely get their meals here. The menu is pretty extensive so they'll most likely have what you want. There's plenty of parking in the free lot out front.

Under new ownership, we tried China Wok tonight for the first time. Believe me when I say the food was fresh, generous, and outstanding. We ordered Mongolian Beef (very tender beef), chicken pad thai, tofu and vegetables, egg rolls, and crab wontons. We were shocked by how good everything was finding it hard to believe we’re still in Eldersburg! Nice touch giving us free edamame!

“The most unseasoned and bland Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. Shrimp lo mein and Beef and Broccoli pictures below.”

We just moved here from Florida and found Great Wall. It is the best chinese food we have ever had even better than the places in Florida.

Their food is consistently good , I had their orange chicken today it was impeccable! Huge portion with real orange slices in the sauce.Their cheese steak rolls are delicious! I order from them all the time

Hubby and I couldn't decide what we wanted for lunch and chose Sun Wah. Worst choice ever. Was not even worth taking back, since we will never return. Our shrimp Egg Foo Young was slop in a box. No shape to the patties. The rice was over cooked and stuck together like old grits. And..the gravy, well I won't say what it looked like. Use your imagination. It was awful. Never again. I try to spend wisely. I just gave away $22.

Everything is delicious! The chicken curry is my go to with pork egg rolls, but the general tso, beef lo mein, beef stick and dumpling appetizers are all favorites in our house too. Plus the portion sizes are huge, I can usually get 2-3 meals out of it.

I’ve been a die hard fan of this place since I was a teenager (at least 10 years). It’s my favorite Chinese food on the eastern shore. Tonight was my last time purchasing from them. I am the only person in my family that likes Chinese. So when I buy, I’m only buying for one person. Since re-opening, it seems their only aim is to get as much money as possible out of there long list of loyal customers, knowing they are the only option in Chestertown. I only wanted enough food for one person, but now you have NO OPTION to get any small portions (sides not only entrees). I understand it is inflation, prices have gone up. However, they will sell you Large family portions or nothing. Because I wanted the food, I took the hit. I spent $41.55 for a single person dinner because they refuse to sell sizes in order to pull in as much money as they can. This is a waste of people’s money, and waste of food. It put a horrible taste in my mouth as a loyal customer. Being willing to take advantage of people who like your food out of blatant greed is not what good food should be about. Do better.

Went here on a Saturday night and was pleased to see that it was busy! The decor is fairly cliche for a Chinese restaurant but they have a very active dining room. We had about a 10 minute wait with is reasonable. The waiting area got very crowded which was uncomfortable. When we were seated we waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our order. They do give you tea at the table which is really nice. I was surprised they don’t have soda water so I had regular water which was fine. Despite the slow start, once we put our orders in the food came out very quickly! I saw many tables still working on their apps when the main came out. We did the fried dumplings and they were perfect! Plump and the dumpling dough was the right thickness! The filling was great. I ordered the honey chicken and my wife ordered the crispy lemon chicken. In hindsight I would have ordered something with more veggies but that’s a preference. The execution of both dishes was pretty flawless. My dish came with a sauce that was a little sweet but didn’t overwhelm the chicken. My wife’s dish was fried really nicely. Where my dish had the sauce on it her dish came with a bowl of lemon sauce. Historically I have found this sauce to be very thick and artificially lemony. This sauce had a great lemon flavor and was not syrupy. We both took half of our food home. We were in and out of the restaurant in 45 minutes! Give this place a try!

Soup. Thick, earthy, nice size of meat and vegetables. The flavor was balanced and the heat was mild as a finish. The Sao's chicken. The sauce is sweet and flavorful, it has a deep rich stickiness with a fabulous heat. The vegetables have a nice crunch the chicken was a little dry but there was plenty of sauce to offset that. The service is very quick and attentive. The atmosphere is very alive and inviting. It is clean and brightly colored but still dimly lit so as to feel you have some privacy with your group. I would return and I believe it will be another great experience.

Ordered shrimp fried rice it had nothing but chopped onions, fried rice and 10 shrimp ( the fried rice you get when you order fried wings and rice add shrimp) no bean sprouts or anything else that is in traditional carryout shrimp fried rice...Ordered beef and brocolli it was white rice a bunch of brocolli and beef ,Ordered orange chicken w/white rice got home it had orange chicken fried rice and one piece of brocolli...i should have known better when i called and the guy that took my order said 5 to 10 min pickup...Paid nearly $30 to receive mediocre food ...The food at China Wok (Eastport shopping center)used to be awesome incl the chicken but now the chicken is cooked upon opening then refried as people order so as the day goes on you'll get overcooked dry chicken..Sad!!! Why rip people off when most off your customers are from the eastport terrace and harbour house community... I myself don't live in the area so i am extremely dissatified to drive there and receive such poor quality of food as i never had an issue in the past...

There was hair & dirt in my food. The rice was super old I couldn’t eat it. I saw a rat & the health department needs to shut these people down. I asked for fresh chicken because the last time it was old as well so they fried half fresh & the other half was old. I can’t make this up.

The message you get when you call says the kitchen is busy making orders, please call back. In reality they are closed. It’s Christmas Day but they’re usually open because we have ordered here every year. The doors are locked and the lights are off. Hope this helps someone else who was planning on their usual Chinese food pickup on Christmas Day.

Just started working in town about 3 weeks ago. Grabbed this takeout. Call ahead to order they say which I luckily did. Anyway the rice is really good and packed tight. Chicken wings are great and good price. This will definitely be my go to place now. Better than the one I have to go to by my house. Woot!!

This place is great for takeout. I don’t know how they do it, but the food is always piping hot when we get home. We’re a good 15 minute drive and it’s always steaming. The food is tasty, never greasy and they’re always quick. They’re consistently good. Little things like adding a piece of cardboard at the bottom of your bag for extra support for the paper bag is a bonus so your food doesn’t bust through. It’s small details that make them great.

Great Chinese takeout food, really fast, and for a really great price. Glad I had a chance to go back to this place. I have been there many times over the years and it has always been a great experience.

The online ordering process was easy, would recommend adding item descriptions to items. I also would recommend to pickup your order, since delivery service wasn’t as speedy advertised on their website. We placed our order at 5:22pm, website said expected delivery time was for 5:50pm. We decided to check on our order at 6:20pm to see if it was better for me to just pickup our order at the store. Food was delivered semi warm, i feel like would’ve been better to pickup directly. Also, a simple text/call for update would’ve been nice or possibly using an update tracker that you can view online would be another solution. Crispy beef tastes more like sweet & sour beef, still delicious overall but thinking next time I may air fry them to make them crispier when I get home. Wonton soup was ok, but next time I may try their egg drop soup instead. Egg roll was pretty restaurant standard.

🔥🐲🇨🇳Best Chinese food in Eldersburg!!! 💖🔥🔥LOVE IT! I'm so happy to find a good authentic Chinese restaurant in the Burg! Large portions and fair prices this place really impressed me with their food and good friendly service! We got the Yu Shang Beef, General Tsos Chicken, PuPu platter, Beef Yat Gar Mein (one pot noodle soup), Wonton soup and Hot and Sour soup. They gave us plenty of sauces including an entire pint of sweet and sour sauce with the pupu platter. The food was delicious not oversalted, the general tsos was perfectly cooked crispy, properly breaded with lots of sauce and some broccoli too. It was a mix of dark and white chicken meat and was juicy! The Yu Shang Beef was tender and loaded with vegetables, and the sauce was sweet but not overwhelmingly sweet. 🍖🍜 The Beef Yat Gar Mein had thick comforting wheat noodles paired with a simple yet rich beef broth, scallions and a hard boiled egg. The wonton soup had real wontons with a rich broth, scallions and sliced pork. I was pleasantly surprised by this soup and it was filling! The hot and sour soup was more on the sour side (I like it more on the hot side), but it was thick and offered plenty of bean curd and mushrooms. They make the house fried crispy chow mein for your soups. Yum! 😋 The Pupu platter had everything (2 of each item but I only show half in the photo fyi), everything was traditional and my favorite was the shrimp toast. The eggroll was crispy and perfectly fried. Lots of fresh fortune cookies too. 🥠 Plus they have valpack coupons yay!🤑 😍💖I will happily return to New Win Long next time we have a craving. Thanks so much New for the delicious food. 🥰🔥 Update: Ate here a few days ago and got the Hunan Beef and it was really good! It was nice and spicy just had excellent flavor with tender beef and a variety of vegetables and yummy sauce. I can't wait to try more dishes next time! 😁 Another update from Sept 9, 2024: went and got a couple lunch specials. L25 Szechuan Combo and L15 General Tso's Chicken. We got them each with wonton soup. Sooo good. They gave us so much food. We were very happy. I'd definitely recommend the lunch specials. Yummy! 😋😍💖

I absolutely LOVE Hunan Garden! The food is always flavorful and delicious, and the service is nothing short of excellent. Every visit is a fantastic experience, and they’ve definitely earned my loyalty. Hunan Garden will always have my business!"

Unfortunately the food was absolutely disgusting. Everything that we ordered was stale and disgusting. The dumplings were like chewing gum. The lo mein was like chewing rubber. The egg rolls were frozen and then deep fried. None of the food was fresh. Never again will we waste our money. Absolutely disgusting. Go else where.

I've visited Jibeichuan Noodle House a few times. The food quality has been consistently good. Their dry rice noodle with beef was a highlight. They also had tasty fried dumplings. You could order a combo including a noodle dish, an appetizer, and a soft drink/hot tea.The price was reasonable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The environment was clean and well maintained, with a welcoming atmosphere.

Saw the local noodle shop with great reviews, decided to try it. It was a good solid 4 for their most popular chicken noodle soup! Very flavorful on the chicken broths! Totally forgot to take a pic before we desecrated both dishes. The running egg for the side add-on for a buck was totally worth it! Cooked the egg to perfection. Will be back once the weather gets colder, for that perfect soupy kinda day!
