Coco's Cafe & Pancake House
Wonderful restaurant decent coffee free refills and great food. I been here 3 times and it's gotten better each time. Went solo today and had a great breakfast perfect service and food and atmosphere.
One of my favorite dish’s. I couldn’t tell you how the rest of the food is because I order this over and over! Delish every time. Pair’s nicely with a Corona which they also serve!
Dada's Soul
Food here is good authentic homemade style dishes flavor was nice on the meatloaf and the dressing was great. Only complaints would be the pork chops were abit dry and fatty I usually wouldn’t complain about portion sizes but in this case less is more I’d feel better paying 15 a plate for one portion instead of 2 or three for $20-24 per person. The cake slice was very small for $4.50 so that was disappointing and the fact they didn’t have mac n cheese at the moment but what I did eat I enjoyed. I would recommend this place just be prepared to wait and pay a good amount of money.
Ordered a chicken dinner with Mac,spicy greens, fries and chicken Catfish and greens and mac Chicken wings have gone down in size Food was cold Mac was not the same as it used to be to I ended up when I got home opening my plate to find no spicy greens but yams… an for 2 dinner plates they gave us 1 cup hot sauce 1 cup of mild when I had asked for extra They have changed an not the same as they use to They use to be good…sad times around there smh
Mas Por Menos Grocery
I come here all the time to get their famous Arracherra preparada en cordón, they can also cut it the typical way as well, Marinaded ready to throw on the grill. Their chicarron and tamales are also very tasty.
Regarding the restaurant: Absolutely delicious. Give it a try if you want to eat some of the juicier, softer pieces of meat at a affordable price. There is also a great variety of foods in the menu for you to chose from. Definitely coming back to try out that juicy beef meat again.
JJ Twigs Antioch
First time here. Food was good. Free pool and air hockey was cool. Service was ok, will go back and hoping for quicker service.
The food was pretty good, but some things could have been better. Little over price, but that's how things are these days. Took some time before we were waited on. Then food seemed to take longer than expected to come out. To me, this place is like a hit missed and could use more help.
JV Seafood & Sushi
Friendly staff - Service was good, food was good. Big servings. Will definitely come back and try other dishes.
Had a wonderful lunch with my wife. Great service is very clean, fast, and efficient. Quality of the food was also great.. we just grabbed 2 lunch specials but will definitely be back for more! Cheers TB
Island Lake Cafe
Best sawmill gravy i have had in years. Great food and amazing staff.
Like many businesses, they seem to be struggling with staff. Only 1 server, running around like crazy, but so pleasant when taking our order, so kudos to her! Food was delivered in a timely manner, and was very good. Another employee was helping pour coffee, remove plates, etc. If you like Betty Boop, this is the place for you ~ lots of decorations all over.
El Norteño
My husband, daughter's and I stopped here while in Illinois for a short trip. We came across this place and it did not disappoint! I'm originally from Colorado where you can get some really good authentic Mexican food and this place was just as good if not better than any food I got in Colorado. I highly recommend trying this place. I got the flautas and they were amazing. The green sauce and mole they have is delicious. My daughters got the children's taco in a hard shell that was freshly fried. They loved it. The food came out fast and the servers were super nice. This is a great place.
Well.. I went to pick up a plant from off of marketplace.. my hubby drives a semi and passes this place all the time. He said it always smells delicious, and the parking lot is full of cars everytime he goes by...but he cant stop.. so today we did..Y'all make the drive for this place! Nice casual atmosphere.. service was top notch..right on it! Food portions are great..food is delicious. Hubby and I both got the fajitas..his was steak..mine chicken and shrimp with corn tortillas.. excellent flavor! What a pleasure to sit, relax and enjoy some really good Mexican food! Don't worry about the drive.. enjoy the road trip and the food!
Prime Steakhouse
Okay this place will be pricey but sometimes you just have to treat yourself. We stopped in for lunch. My husband had a burger and I had the lake perch sandwich. I also chose the homemade potato chips. My husband got the wedges. They do have specials but if you want a steak be prepared to pay $$$. My husband was so full that he took his potatoes home.
Great little spot with a nice ambiance. Food and service were perfect. The steak was cooked perfectly. Had some raw oysters for appetizers which were phenomenal!
Ramen District
Highly recommend sitting at the bar with Julian. Order the Thai fried rice (not traditional Thai style but loaded with flavor and veggies), short rib gyoza, pork belly bao buns, and the short-rib ramen. Generous portions. I loved the miso caramel boba tea, and the Tokyo twilight cocktail with easy sugar. Skip the green tea cake.
First time visitor. My son raved about it so we went for lunch and it did not disappoint. I got the spicy pork fried rice and it was absolutely delicious. There's some heat there but it doesn't hurt like Mexican hot sauce can It builds and it gets to be pretty strong but it was very delicious I will definitely be back
Uncle Chen's Hot Wok
Ate here once and the food was fair at best. The rice was yellow??? Served in plastic disposable containers. This establishment has been here for many years so there must be some tasty items on the menu, unfortunately my friend and I didn’t find them. I will try again
Love this place. Clean environment. Amazing and Fresh food. Employee and management are top notch. Price is reasonable too! I can eat here everyday day!!!
Five Star Thai Cuisine and Grocery
Nice and warm restaurant; they are so friendly. The food is fresh, made to order, and delicious. It has a cozy atmosphere, nice for spending time with friends and family enjoying delicious meals. The food is also healthy.
Sad to say, but this is by far the worst Thai food I’ve had in my 50+ years, and I’m not saying this to be mean. Today, my wife and I decided to try a new Thai restaurant for noodles. We love places like Wu’s House, Asparagus, and Spice Thai, so we found this spot on Google and ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken, Pad See Ew with beef, and egg rolls. Let me get straight to the point. As soon as she got home, my wife tasted the food and immediately said it wasn’t good—but she let me be the judge. I took a bite of each dish, followed by the egg roll (which I had to spit out). The Pad See Ew was completely off—missing all the usual flavors and elements, with a rubbery texture to the meat. The Drunken Noodles were, well, sober. They looked pale and, while not outright disgusting, had almost no flavor. It was like eating plain ramen noodles without the seasoning packet. The egg roll was soggy, flavorless, and tasted freezer-burned—I couldn’t even swallow it. I was extremely disappointed. Before writing this review, I called the restaurant to speak with a manager. Instead, the chef answered. After I explained my concerns, he refused to let me speak to a manager and insisted his food was good. I tried to explain that, as the chef, he’s naturally biased, but he just wanted to argue rather than offer a solution. I remained as polite as possible, telling him the food was simply bad. He apologized, which is a start, but at the end of the day, I spent my hard-earned money on food that went straight to the trash. Times are tough, and when you pay for something, you should get quality. I’ll be calling again until I speak with someone other than the cook—who, frankly, can’t cook. Oh. When I asked him if he knew 'B', the owner of Spice, he said yeah. I asked if he ever tried his food? He paused then said he had. His slight to Spice was "I don't use msg". Spice is 100 times better than his stuff with or without msg.
Tyler's Tender Railroad Restaurant
Diner feel to it. Kids 12 , 4, 2 liked the train delivering food. It’s a kids place. The chicken tenders were good. My mushroom burger was subpar. Has a chuckee cheese feel to it with the games and you don’t have to deal with ghetto people. The staff was friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was paying for the train ride. I think it should be included with the meal but it was only a dollar.
Our kids love it here. Food is excellent. The staff is kind and accommodating. Always look forward to our experience here. The train table is interactive so you can make the lights come on in buildings, make trains move, etc. sitting at the bar is fun because the train brings you your food. The kids love ending the visit riding on the train ($1 each).
