MOšCHI Sushi & Rteaamen & Bob tea
Fabulous place!!!! Itās the absolute most perfect place for a date, and itās just simply so cute inside. Their drink mixer is ALSO super creative and cute, it looks like a duck is mixing it and thatās so cute. I love the floral designs and the plant like atmosphere, itās very comfortable and vibrant. Their food is delicious and served nice and warm. Their chicken is so good! Their boba teas are very yummy and I LOVE how they each come in a cute trinket cup to re use!!! Their mochi donuts are also very fresh tasting and very delicious. 10/10 experience there with my boyfriend.
I love this type of food and have tried many places before, and let me tell you this restaurant sets the standard that I will now measure everywhere else by. Everything was perfect! The sushi rolls were beautiful and tasty, spicy steak ramen was amazing, awesome chicken fried rice with lots of good chicken pieces in it. Their take on Yum Yum sauce is my favorite I've had. Best crab rangoons too, they were so fresh and crisp. The staff was polite, helpful and service was quick. The inside of the restaurant was decorated very nice. Overall a great experience, I will be back!
Commander Restaurant
Returned a breakfast item as it was not prepared correctly and they did not use ingredients as advertised on menu. We politely pointed that out immediately when served (didnt eat or touch) "Owners wife" refused to remove charge from guest check and said; "take it home then". We didn't want it as it was pretty badly prepared and not appetizing at all. Still they charged full price even though we left it untouched. Never ever will we be going back.
We were meeting family coming from Michigan and a half-way point was Munster, Indiana. If you are looking for great food & service with a diner-type atmosphere this is it! From the time we walked in the restaurant, we felt at home. The hostess was very friendly and was an expert in hospitality. The waitress was very knowledgeable, kind, attentive, and efficient! The food was amazing and the portions very generous. The meal was timed perfectly. The large menu has a variety of choices and everything we ordered was excellent. Highly recommend. Thank you for a great experience!
Five Star Thai Cuisine and Grocery
Nice and warm restaurant; they are so friendly. The food is fresh, made to order, and delicious. It has a cozy atmosphere, nice for spending time with friends and family enjoying delicious meals. The food is also healthy.
Sad to say, but this is by far the worst Thai food Iāve had in my 50+ years, and Iām not saying this to be mean. Today, my wife and I decided to try a new Thai restaurant for noodles. We love places like Wuās House, Asparagus, and Spice Thai, so we found this spot on Google and ordered Drunken Noodles with chicken, Pad See Ew with beef, and egg rolls. Let me get straight to the point. As soon as she got home, my wife tasted the food and immediately said it wasnāt goodābut she let me be the judge. I took a bite of each dish, followed by the egg roll (which I had to spit out). The Pad See Ew was completely offāmissing all the usual flavors and elements, with a rubbery texture to the meat. The Drunken Noodles were, well, sober. They looked pale and, while not outright disgusting, had almost no flavor. It was like eating plain ramen noodles without the seasoning packet. The egg roll was soggy, flavorless, and tasted freezer-burnedāI couldnāt even swallow it. I was extremely disappointed. Before writing this review, I called the restaurant to speak with a manager. Instead, the chef answered. After I explained my concerns, he refused to let me speak to a manager and insisted his food was good. I tried to explain that, as the chef, heās naturally biased, but he just wanted to argue rather than offer a solution. I remained as polite as possible, telling him the food was simply bad. He apologized, which is a start, but at the end of the day, I spent my hard-earned money on food that went straight to the trash. Times are tough, and when you pay for something, you should get quality. Iāll be calling again until I speak with someone other than the cookāwho, frankly, canāt cook. Oh. When I asked him if he knew 'B', the owner of Spice, he said yeah. I asked if he ever tried his food? He paused then said he had. His slight to Spice was "I don't use msg". Spice is 100 times better than his stuff with or without msg.
Tyler's Tender Railroad Restaurant
Diner feel to it. Kids 12 , 4, 2 liked the train delivering food. Itās a kids place. The chicken tenders were good. My mushroom burger was subpar. Has a chuckee cheese feel to it with the games and you donāt have to deal with ghetto people. The staff was friendly. The only thing I didnāt like was paying for the train ride. I think it should be included with the meal but it was only a dollar.
Our kids love it here. Food is excellent. The staff is kind and accommodating. Always look forward to our experience here. The train table is interactive so you can make the lights come on in buildings, make trains move, etc. sitting at the bar is fun because the train brings you your food. The kids love ending the visit riding on the train ($1 each).
Uncle Chen's Hot Wok
Ate here once and the food was fair at best. The rice was yellow??? Served in plastic disposable containers. This establishment has been here for many years so there must be some tasty items on the menu, unfortunately my friend and I didnāt find them. I will try again
Love this place. Clean environment. Amazing and Fresh food. Employee and management are top notch. Price is reasonable too! I can eat here everyday day!!!
Akina Sushi & Asian Food Bistro
We have been to this restaurant many many times and every time the food is fresh and tastes amazing! The service has always been awesome too! Everyone is so nice there. Today (Motherās Day) we came and without a reservation they greeted us and treated us nice and dinner was amazing once more!! Loooove this place!
My daughter and I visited Akina for dinner, our waitress was Jennifer. We've been there before on a few occasions and the service was always good but this time we had Jennifer as our waitress and she was outstanding. She was so attentive to our needs, she was friendly and very sweet. I hope we get her again the next time we go. By the way, everytime we've been there the manager comes around at some point to ask us how everything is going. We really appreciate that personal touch.
Asian Harbor
Although the atmosphere is worn and dated, the food is plentiful and delicious. The pad Thai had a delectable peppery sauce that gave the flavor with little heat. The shrimp in the pad Thai were plentiful and tender, although I found the variety of vegetables somewhat lacking as compared to other restaurants. The fried rice was also very good. Although we did not try it on this occasion, the primary emphasis of the restaurant appears to be sushi oriented. Service was prompt and friendly, and I was intrigued by the robot that carried food from the kitchen to the front counter. It's a little pricey, but we will return.
This place is a rarity where you can order sushi and general tsos chicken at the same restaurant! Perfect for me and my girlfriend since I love sushi and she is not a fan. Weāve ordered takeout out before and loved it and this was our first done in experience. Staff were attentive, food came quickly and tasted delicious. They could improve the quality of their ginger and wasabi but these are small things. This place is worth a trip to try out!!
Kitaro Surf & Turf & Sushi
Lovely family owned Japanese restaurant with high-end traditional food with a fusion twist. Dare to experience an āomakaseā dinner and abandon yourself to the chefās choice of food. And by the way, the chefās name is John Kitaro and yes, he is the owner! Unfortunately I only did that with an appetiser and I got an amazing sashimi mix topped with tobiko! See pictures of what I tried for three days in a row, only the Tenjaku whisky missing.
I recently stumbled upon this lovely gem of a restaurant, and I must say, it was a marvelous experience from start to finish. The interior decor is both pleasant and beautiful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a great meal. The service was top-notch, our server Caleb made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. We started with a selection of appetizers including the asparagus tempura, the tuna tartar, and the lobster tempura. All the appetizers were beautifully plated and favorable. For our entrĆ©es, we chose the Crabby Joe and Lemon Salmon Rolls, both of which were plated beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. The Korean-styled Chirashi and Sashimi Fifteen were equally impressive, featuring incredibly fresh fish that was delicious. Weāll definitely be coming back for more!
Sauce N Toss - Foxlake
It was my first time here, and I just came to enjoy some dinner with a friend of mine on late Monday evening. I have to say, I was incredibly impressed with the service from Brian. For a regular Monday evening, Brian was as on top of everything. He took great care of my friend and I, accommodated all of our requests, was incredibly hospitable, and made great conversation. The food was excellent, and the sauces were second to none. I highly recommend the garlic Parmesan wings and the Cajun fries. The Mac n cheese is good as well. Overall, it was a great experience, and Iāll definitely be coming back. Thanks for the great service, Brian!
Pretty darn good for a random place in Illinois. As far as sauce quality is concerned this place is good. I had their spiciest sauce, dragon breath I think, and it was indeed spicy and more importantly flavorful. I could really taste the chili used to make the sauce. It was like a chili compote in texture. I also enjoyed one of their sweet mango sauces as well. Definitely unique and definitely worth it if you're in the area. Wings which were fresh and well cooked, as were the parmesan French fries.
Fanella's Pizza & Pub
Nice Sports bar with great food and atmosphere! We had the thin crust pizza and it was very good! Great friendly service and nice prices!
Absolutely delicious. My family and I stopped in and got a few appetizers, a burger, some pasta and 2 pizzas (they were Bogo 1/2 off). I got the extra thin crust, so light and crispy. Staff was polite and prompt with service! We will be returning
Sushi Grove
This is the bomb! AYCE - all you can eat!!!!!!! Go ahead and try the all you can eat menu. Note not every roll on the regular menu is available on the ayce menu. So many choices. One waitress running the entire restaurant and she did it fabulously. Amazed! 4-7 sushi chefs behind the glass wall quickly and efficiently prepared each serving. They definitely aim for perfection and come very close. We enjoyed shrimp rolls, California rolls, spicy crabā¦.couldnāt bring myself to try the eel. Maybe next time because everything was soooo good! One note⦠on one set of rolls the seaweed wrap was not edible. Like rubber couldnāt even cut with utensils.
Visited this restaurant for the first time today. Usually I drive to Chicago downtown to have sushi. Service was great, our server was very friendly, attentive and polite. He had a smile on his face the whole time and was very nice. Food was ok, most of sushi rolls were falling apart as soon as you try to take them. What upset me the most is that on their menu they have gyoza and didn't specify it's pork. They should have written "pork gyoza", not just gyoza, because there is chicken gyoza as well. We ordered gyoza, thinking it is chicken, since it isn't specified that it's pork, and only after we got it and my daughter took a bite, we got a feeling that it isn't chicken, and when Incalled the server and asked him, he said it's pork. That is an important thing they should mention in their menu.
China Taste
General Tso's is the best in town! The batter is a perfectly fluffy and crispy texture. Combo with rice and egg roll you get a very generous portion and everything is delicious. We ordered at the counter and our food was ready in less than 10 minutes, all freshly cooked. My buddy got the Sweet & Sour Shrimp and said it's exactly the meal he was looking for. We also split an order of Crab Rangoons, again they were sweet and crispy, just right. I already want to go back for more, and it's definitely worth the drive over the other places in town. Thank you friends at China Taste!
Great little takeout restaurant. Typical for Chinese takeout, decent specials, friendly staff. Allowing substitutions for large purchases was a turn on for us. Been back twice and will continue to drive the extra 15-20 minutes to come to this location. Two thumbs up.
