The food is usually pretty good, however this time it was just ok. My egg rolls were not cooked crispy enough, and neither were my egg foo young, but young man that was cooking it was learning, I guess.

I recommend you go anywhere else to eat but here! I asked for fried rice with my meal and got upcharged, then didn't receive my rice. I asked for sweet and sour chicken and didn't get sweet and sour sauce! Worst business mad customer service. They want to give me a discount next time I come in. Why would I do that?? I will never eat here again and I will make sure everyone knows why. Disgusting excuse for a business. If I could give it zero stars I would. Here is my picture of no rice after being charged extra for it. The woman played dumb at first when I called. Then proceeded to repeat that she had to charge me extra for the fried rice after telling her multiple times there wasn't any.

Orderd online for a pickup in store; the wait wasn't long at all but a team member still apologized for the wait time and gave my husband a free soda of his choice. We got home and ate some of the most delicious fast food we have ever had. Everything was super fresh, hot, and yummy! Highly recommend this location! Also recommend downloading their rewards app to score some coupons; I downloaded it and got almost $5 off my whole order. Definitely worth it!

Very friendly, welcoming staff. I'm usually greeted as I walk in, but it is not overwhelming. The food is always freshly made and delicious! I absolutely love the orange chicken and the chicken teriyaki with the fried rice. I can feed my entire family of 5 with leftovers for about $40. I can't do that at most drive-through's anymore. Speaking of drive-through, I drive a 4 door 8ft bed 3500 (stock not lifted or wide wheels), and I can not get around the drive-through without my outside tire rubbing the curb. It is very tight. Anyhow the food and service is always fantastic. Seems like a hardworking crew running the place as it is always busy but never a long wait in line. I will continue to order from here as long as prices remain reasonable. There is also an app (like most places these days) that's easy to earn rewards and coupons here as well.

Such good food and polite service. I have had a wonderful experience here, and the restaurant was redone greatly (new management since 2023). Absolutely delicious food, and you can't beat the price for 2 people for lunch.

Take out-Egg rolls tasted like they sat for too long. Pot stickers were good. Pork fried rice just so so. Not like it was before new owner.

Food is decent, nothing special. Not bad but not particularly great. Pretty basic Chinese takeout which is good. Was difficult to order over the phone due to language barrier. Wanted general tsos with lo mein on the side but got rice not sure where the disconnect was. Food was ready on time and warm. Portion sizes big which is good. This place is good if you need a quick takeout for decent price.

Mediocre at best. I ordered the Schezwan chicken and a quart of won ton soup. Both were very bland with almost no taste. The fried rice isn't really fried rice and there was so much liquid in my meal it could have been soup. This was my first time coming here and I will not be back. I ordered the dinner portion to have leftovers later but this food was so disappointing after a few bites, I won't finish it. So I just spent $22 on something I won't eat. I would definitely recommend skipping this place if you're thinking about coming here.

The food is awesome and I highly recommend the chicken and fries are hot and fresh and taste like heaven.

i got food poisoning from the chicken here and it was the worst night ever. throwing up was so painful. if you are gonna eat pls eat outside of the park 😔

I called and they answered you reluctantly, I mean, they are going to be paid for what we ordered, they would have to answer hello, good afternoon or morning, how can we help you, but they answer you as if you are asking them for free, it is a service and thanks to the customers, their restaurant runs on its own. I didn't like how they answered me and I felt like saying I don't want their food but out of respect I didn't say anything.

I really wanted to like this place, but after eating the garlic chicken and spring roll, I won't be back, nor will I recommend. The garlic chicken used breaded chicken chunks, which is a first! Other places use non-breaded chicken. This was my first disappointment. And, it was greasy! Why!?!? The spring rolls were deep fried and lacked in flavor. Just blah. I asked if they cook without MSG. She said No. Another disappointment, as they don't cook without it. This food is one step up from a china buffet. The male cook was super busy and seemed friendly. The woman seemed irritated when I arrived sooner then she expected. I wasn't rushing anyone. Just made good traffic. Not going back. Bummer!

Hong Kong Kitchen is a fantastic Chinese restaurant! The food is consistently delicious, with a great variety of dishes that are always fresh and flavorful. The owner is incredibly nice and welcoming, creating a warm atmosphere that makes dining here a pleasure. Garbage, I bought a spicy shrimp egg food Yung and it was good to have 2 shrimp and so many bean sprouts that the egg barely held it together. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. DISGUSTING 🫣 🤮

This place has fallen off horribly, everything is just nasty now and has a bad flavor to it.

In my Keith Lee voice, I tried it and rated everything a 10! From the soulful 90s r&b playing upon entry, to the warm and friendly service received from the owner and the cashier, to that TRUE soul food that you receive.. this place is nothing short of amazing. I gave it a try as I didn’t feel like cooking dinner, and I’m so glad I did. The owner is also the chef, and she greeted me at the counter to run down the menu. She makes you feel at home like family and is patient as I expressed it was my first visit to the restaurant. I ordered the catfish dinner which came with 2 sides (I picked spaghetti and collard greens), jerk chicken eggrolls (can be ordered separate or as a meal), and a piece of lemon pound cake. Breaking my diet was worth it! The catfish was my favorite (I took a pic of how flaky and perfect it was.. crispy like I like it too!) but everything had a burst of flavor!! Every forkful! The wait was about 15-20 minutes, but it was well worth it because everything was fresh and steaming when I got home! As I was ordering she told me the Mac was still in the oven so I didn’t get a chance to order it. As I was leaving with my order, she told me to wait because it had just come out, and handed me a sample to try. Let me just say, I tasted it on my way out the door and ran back inside (not exaggerating) to tell her just how good that macaroni and cheese was and how grateful I was for that sample! She truly didn’t have to do that or allow me to taste the peach cobbler but I’m so glad she did! As an operations manager, I can recognize and appreciate true hospitable service! I told her I would be back and I meant that. Please give this place a try because I promise you won’t regret it and we need this business to thrive. You can tell this is her passion as you can feel it in her rapport with her customers and taste it in every bit of that food! Hopefully I can stick to my original turkey burger idea next time 😂😂😂. (Probably not, I’m coming back for that mac!🤣❤️)

Customer service was A-1. She took my order last minute ( I had a huge order ) which I appreciate and half of these black owned restaurants would not do that. I did find a little piece of something odd in the spaghetti. I’m not sure what it was or if it was a piece of the herbs from the spaghetti but it was a light brown color of wood. Besides that error , ALL of the food tasted good, I would revisit if I visited east Chicago again. The peach cobbler was superb, fish seasoned and cooked to perfection, yams sweet but not overly sweet, etc . This is a place definitely worth trying and the light skin lady who took my order was very nice and patient with me.

I happen to run across this place by happenstance. Excited to say the least as there isn’t many options for authentic Puerto Rican food here in Indiana. The hours are short, but understandable, just need to work around it. 😩 As the granddaughter of the creator of the Jibarito sandwich, I am very particular and critical over how other make them, but surprisingly enough Lumar’s Taste is on to something. Very good taste, size and overall an excellent sandwich. The morilla is on point, next time I’ll order a lb. That 1/2lb.left me wanting more 🫣🤣 if you know, you know! Also, the potato salad was a smack, overall pleased. I’ll be back soon as I want to try more options, thank you Lumar’s for reminding me what home taste like. Wish we could bottle the smells.🥰❤️

Disappointed. This place used to be one of our favorite places to eat. Idk what happened. But their pastelios were soo good and had a lot of meat now they are big & deformed looking. All different shapes and sizes. With very little meat and pretty salty. No inquire taste. Thier papa relleno have more papa and very little amount of meat like everything else. Lately, each time we have been picking up their food, it's been very disappointing. We are done with this place.

The Pho and Thai tea is super delicious. The chicken spring rolls are really good too. After coming here once, I go every other week now.

OMG the food is delicious. I'm stopping to do this review the midpoint eating my egg pho young. I love that dish. A lot of places that go to really mess it up. This is so delicious and the portions are huge.

If you're craving authentic, flavorful Mexican food, Taqueria Durango Express is a must-try! Service is quick & friendly. Try their tacos al pastor they are absolutely delicious! The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender. The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable for the quality of food. The cucumber limeade is refreshing and perfectly sweet, a great way to wash everything down. Whether you're in a rush or just craving a quick, tasty meal, they never disappoint. Must try place!

Food is painfully mediocre and bland. Beans, chicken and rice taste like they are cooked near spices. Even the salsas that you’re given don’t do anything to help the lack of spices and flavors that Mexican food does so well. Such a good location for a business and the customer service was absolutely fantastic, just need to up the flavor a bit and they’ll be an extremely busy restaurant. Will absolutely try again in the future and hope to change my review.
