Cebu Lechon House & New Chinese Kitchen
We came here specifically to try the Filipino food because the Chinese food you can get anywhere. When looking for this place, look for New Chinese Kitchen otherwise you’ll miss it. It’s across the street from Arby’s in a small strip mall. You’ll definitely have to make a U-Turn because getting into the lot is weird. Plenty of parking since it is a shared lot. We decided to do two combo meals plus the aristocrat chicken. When dining in, there are about 4 tables so it can be limited if there is a rush hour. The owner was very pleasant and he explained about the items before we looked at the menu. Lumpia was crispy and tasty. Garlic rice was a little oily but still good. Overall, it’s about a 4. I would have given them a 5 but that rock hard crispy kare kare is hard to forget. However, I’ll return to try other items. -crispy kare kare with garlic rice and lumpia 3 - I wanted to like this but the crispy kare kare was a huge let down. It was very tough to eat. I’ve had Filipino food many times and it was never this hard. It’s a shame because the peanut sauce with the veggies and eggplant were delicious. -bbq pork belly (liempo) with garlic rice and lumpia 5 - I really liked the BBQ pork belly. Very easy to cut with a spoon. Meat was well seasoned. It is fatty, so it’s best to eat it with rice. -aristocrat chicken 5 - highly recommended. Chicken is extremely flavorful even for leftovers. Meat is very moist and juicy. Nice balance of sweet and salty. I should have gotten the 10 pieces.
Can only comment on the Cebu Lechon House menu. Have not tried the New Chinese Kitchen Menu (except for possibly the fried rice). Ordered the Aristocrat Chicken combo plate and Lechon Kawali Combo plate. The Chicken was sweet and savory with little bits of fried garlic. The Lechon was crispy and flavorful. The side of spiced vinegar helped cut through the fattiness of the pork. The fried rice was simple, but flavorful. Was not too salty or greasy, so worked well with the Lechon and the flavorful chicken. The Lumpia was good. Maybe too much wrapper and not enough filling for my preference, but certainly not the worst lumpia I've had. They were cooked perfectly with a very crunchy texture, so I would certainly order again. Would recommend either dish. Cannot wait to try the other offerings!
Pho Noodle Station & Bubble Tea
I recently visited this restaurant and tried their pho with vegetarian broth, vegetables, tofu, and crab. The dish was well-balanced in terms of the amount of ingredients; however, I found the flavor to be somewhat lacking in spice. It could have used a bit more kick to elevate the taste. On the positive side, the green tea served at the beginning of the meal was delightful and refreshing. As for the atmosphere, it was generally acceptable, and the cleanliness of the dining area met my expectations. Unfortunately, the restrooms had a noticeable unpleasant odor, which was a drawback to the overall experience. Despite this, the staff was very friendly and provided good service, which added a nice touch to the visit. With a bit of improvement in flavor and restroom maintenance, this place has the potential to be a great spot.
So happy came upon this place while visiting a store nearby and it was after lunchtime already so decided to go in. Wasn’t too sure about Vietnamese food or Pho but love Ramen so thought would give this a chance. This was the tastiest food ever - a real hidden gem if you have never tried it - give it a try. I will definitely be back to try the Pho. This time we decided to try the bun noodle salads - shrimp with fried egg roll and the pork with fried egg roll. The sauce and ingredients were all so fresh and the shrimp and egg rolls were so nice and crispy. For drinks we had the lime/honey/mint - so good and also the Thai milk tea. Both were so good. We were there kind of late for lunch so no wait and a few customers but some take-outs were going on too. Not sure if this is individual franchise or what but the food is fresh and tasty.
Sakura Nami Japanese Restaurant - All You Can Eat
Love it! Love it! Love it! Sushi haven for all sushi lovers! I had to go find Sakura Sushi restaurant when my usual one closed during covid times. I love their all you can eat deal with too many great choices to choose from. Thank you to the amazing chef who creates wonders!!! Will come again and again!!
I recently dined with my girlfriend at this restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations. The ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a relaxing meal. The service was exceptional; the staff was friendly, making sure we had everything needed. And the food? Absolutely delicious. They have their signature dishes (very special and delicious) which I cannot find in other restaurants. Each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I uploaded the dishes pictures here.
Lotus Banh Mi - Oakbrook
Excellent service. Fast, friendly, attentive, clean and love the decor & design. My favorite dish here is curry chicken rice bowl and crispy pork egg rolls. It’s delicious. I will highly recommend to friends and family.

Double Dragon
Ordering Chinese takeout on Christmas has become my tradition for the last 13ish years, and Double Dragon never disappoints. I'm so grateful they're open for the holiday! The food is always ready on time, super fresh and delicious. The staff are always friendly, too. I reluctantly moved out of state for work and coming home to my favorite tradition is all I could have asked for this year. 🥹 The added bonus being they brought back the free calendar! I'm so happy I could cry. Thank you, Double Dragon. You've been saving my holiday for a while and I'm grateful for you.
The service was so fast that I got the receipt and food but forgot my credit card in the machine! The AMAZING man at the front ran after me with it before I drove off. What a class act. He was also very professional taking my order on the phone. Such a smooth experience. The food was good and bad. I got the General Tso's Chicken combo. The cabbage in the egg roll smelled rancid and was spoiled, so I didn't go past the first bite. The chicken and fried rice were delicious! I would come back again hoping that the egg roll I got was a one off issue. Note: they don't have dine-in at this time.
China House Restaurant
I ordered for delivery. When I ordered, for the record on 9/5/24 around 5:45pm, the woman who took my order was extremely rude with an I don't care attitude. I ordered a 4 piece crab Rangoon. I've ordered crab Rangoon from many different places over many years. I received my order within 45 minutes in which I was satisfied. The first thing a grabbed before getting my plate together was that crab ragoon I love so much. Took a big bite and ilthe crust had No filling. I figured sometimes it happens so took a bite out of the second and third which were all empty. The last one I broke open and you can see a trace of crab Rangoon but no filling. I called them to explain and the same rude woman explained to me that's how they make them. After a short argument she told me to ask any of their customers. That's they're signature on the crab rangoon....no filling. She refused ti reimburse or work with me. She offered me 1 egg roll for free but i had to drive 15 minutes to get it. Not being petty but I still paid for a product they refused to fulfill. UPDATE: I'm posting my paper plate the day after my original post. Half chicken and half shrimp fried rice. Found zero shrimp (but shrimp tail skin was in there)and 1 chicken piece
New to the area. Had high hopes for the food here. Was not impressed unfortunately. Egg roll and chicken fried rice were good. Shrimp lo mein was soggy, noodles overcooked, sauce was bland. Will probably be a while Before we try something else from this location in the hopes that it was just an off night tonight.
Bok Choy Asian Kitchen - Addison
I believe this place used to be a sushi restaurant. Maybe they changed name or just same owner. Food is amazing for our dinner. We had some sushi, calamari, shrimps. It was good. The ambiance was very nice and no problem with the parking. Many choices in the menu but could only eat a few. Would come back to try another dish
Is really average food My n my friend we all Asian but we felt the server just want to go home ASAP my friend got a shrimp salad and find a sticker on the avocado , they did changed the new one but shrimp was over grilled so got really bitter. Even we kinda of give it a hint about it doesn't taste good but I guess they just want you to pay anyway. The decoration was cool but confusing because more like a Chinese thing then Japanese Spicy is mark is not really useful is not spicy at all guys. Food in general was ok but overpriced Is you want to take photos or seat at somewhere cool I guess you can come here
Good Children
I got the Mongolian beef it was 11 dollars plus credit card charge. I was very disappointed I had maybe if I'm lucky 10 pieces of beef which were tough and the rest was onion and green pepper filler I've had better Chinese in places that were not strictly Chinese. This was a great disappointment when I saw the reviews it was getting so I took the chance to try it I can tell you I will not stop here again to eat
Omg I stopped here in a whim. And I got the hottest most freshest food! I will be back! Very good!
Liang's Chinese Cafe
Lunch special had 4-5 quarter size pieces of chicken. Drink took long to get and person who took order did not follow up. Wanted to add sugar to tea... it was an open bowl barely filled with sugar and soy sauce in it. Egg roll was small, cool, not very flavourful. When I asked attendant at cash register (who fully understood situation) did not offer to get me any just pointed to Splenda. Not worth my money ot time. Food tasted okay.
Surprisingly located on the first floor of an office building. It is authentic soups and noodle dished. Once you discover it you be back for the reasonably priced and tasty food.
BIBIBOP Asian Grill
Got the Korean beef and spicy chicken bowl. Really tasty! Lots of topping options. Place is clean. Employees are friendly. Definitely as competitive as Chipotle. Will definitely eat here again. Oh get the app for free food and drinks too.
Pretty cool place! I would compare it to a Asian chipotle… Would definitely come back good fresh food and ingredients and I like how you get to customize your own food the way that you like! Are also pretty comparable with every other fast food place you’re looking at 15 to 20 bucks a person
Cilantro Taco Grill - Addison
almost didnt order because of all the bad reviews but i ordered an asada burrito with just meat cheese and beans, it was decent. the salsas are bland, will be trying again to get a taste of what else they have on the menu
First time here. Had the asada(steak burrito which is very good sized and all the ingredients are fresh daily. Great prices for what you get. Fresh salsas are out in squeeze jars for use. The medium was hot enough for me and you could tell it was made recently. They are in talks of selling franchises and I think they may do well if the can keep a handle on the quality. Good luck and thanks. They have minimal seating is the only drawback I saw.
Oriental Food House
If you like Taiwanese food this is a good spot to go! Even though it’s outside of downtown Chicago but it’s not too far, it’s about 30-40 minutes drive it depends if there is traffic or not. But it’s definitely worth trying. The owner is super nice and friendly. I will definitely visit again when I visit Chicago again.
Growing up, Di Ho used to be the epicenter of the small western suburb Asian community. It was where I tried proper Taiwanese beef noodle soup for the first time and became obsessed. For a long time, I associated the best beef noodle soup in Di Ho with the store front on the far right. Today, I learned that this shop owner has since moved to the Oriental Food House aka 'Taiwan Xiao Chi' store front on the far left. For 37 years, this true mom and pop shop has been working on their craft to serve the community and I can attest that they've still got it. Do a flavor taste test and see for yourself - and of course, support this small business.
