Xi’an Cuisine
This Xi’an cuisine is much better than the ones on downtown area. The food is authentic. We ordered lamb skewers which is super tender. The cold chicken dish is perfect in flavor, it has a little bit sour and spicy taste in it. The Bianbian noodle is the best of all dishes, it has three different sauce in it, one is tomato eggs, one is minced meat and another is stewed beef, with hand made thick noodles, it is just perfect combination.
This place is always great, especially if you love spicy. Their main menu and specials are really good, but they also have lunch specials if you’re looking for some more standard American Chinese food. Their mapo tofu fish is always a highlight!
Lao Sze Chuan Aurora
Our family comes by here often. Recently we have gotten take out from here and they are always willing to make any changes we may need to our food which is very impressive. Food itself is tasty. Some dishes are better than others but I have usually always enjoyed our meals with them. I also like how considerate they are in their take out packaging. Making sure to separate stuff like sauce/fried food as well as soup and noodles. The main issue recently we have faced with the restaurant was that we ordered a beef noodle soup with noodles to go and the noodle quality was not good, there was a weird oily after taste to them. However, their soup broth was very tasty. All in all, a nice, Szechuan option around the area.
This was our first time here and I'm so glad we tried it. Restaurant was comfortable, nice decor, not loud. Wait staff was friendly without being imposing. They have a very cute robot cat that delivers the food. So cute 😍. The menu has some tried and true dishes as well as more unique offerings. We started with dumplings, then I had the crispy shrimp and my husband had Tony's chicken. Everything was delicious. We will definitely come here again.
Szechuan House
Overall the food is quite average. We ordered Hot and Sour soup, i will definitely recommend this one, it was appetizing. Of those dishes that was posted below, it costs around $55. Big portion, we can't finish it.
Best Sichuan cuisine in Chicagoland. The Dan Dan noodles are excellent! Try the twice cooked fish fillets! (not your grandma's fish fry) It is here that you can find the REAL Sichuan Sauce, Rick and Morty. Wub.. ...and garlic Tong Hao! :D Update: make note of the tetrahexahedra in the lighting. Cool.
Ah Chung’s Kitchen
My husband first tried this restaurant and raved about it. I was skeptical in the beginning. But, he tried so hard to convince me to try this restaurant, so I gave in eventually. Long story short, I tried it and was impressed. I would say this restaurant sells Taiwanese dishes. Service is excellent and food is delicious. Very flavorful. My favorite one is the pork leg, very tender and flavorful. I highly recommend this restaurant. Price: $$ Service: 5 stars Food: 5 stars
Absolutely loved my experience at Ah Chung’s! This family-owned gem serves the most authentic Taiwanese cuisine I’ve had. Every dish tasted like it was made with love and passed down through generations, capturing the rich flavors and textures that make Taiwanese food so special. The ingredients were fresh, the portions were generous. If you’re looking for an unforgettable meal that’s both comforting and exciting, look no further. You won’t regret dining here—this place is the real deal! Highly recommended! Dishes ordered were: honey walnut shrimp, crab Rangoon, beef noodle soup, orange chicken, chao mi Fen, and quin saun nen tofu.
Kinta Sushi
Really nice and relaxing place. Service is fantastic. Ambience is nice for how small and where it is. The food was good. I'd rate the food itself 4/5. But overall the entire place gets 4.5
Kinta Sushi is small, clearly family-run, and offers an intimate experience. The food is fantastic and very fresh. The Cry Cry Roll packs a lot of spice and flavor, while the beef Tudon is rich and satisfying. The house salad was amazing, and they make the dressing in-house! The chef is truly an artist, putting passion into every dish. We’ll definitely be back!
2Toots Train Whistle Grill
Our kids loved this place. I think if they offered specialty burgers ( jalapeno, pineapple or fried egg) it would add a lot of flavor and increase business.
2 Toots is an AWESOME experience. This isn’t gourmet. This isn’t fancy. This is exactly what you want it to be… fun for your kids and a decent chargrilled cheeseburger while you’re at it. The servers are very friendly, and attentive and cater to the kids. The menu is small and easy. The place is fun, and clean, and maybe a little loud, but who cares. Set your expectations appropriately and you’ll have a great time!
East China Inn
Unfortunately, this restaurant isn’t what it used to be. We used to go to East China Inn either at this location or the one in Batavia and the food was amazing. Unfortunately, now the food is just OK. Very little people ….we decided on the sweet-and-sour chicken lunch special, this includes the chicken, white rice, and soup. It was one dollar extra for the eggroll, but I never even got it. The fried rice was also just OK.
The food is good and the service is what should be expected. Issue is that it is way overpriced. Got the General Tao Combination for $14. The portion size was TINY. Looks more like a kids portion. Good taste though.
China House
BEFORE ORDERING FROM HERE READ THIS: Couple things to mention. #1: Called to place an order at 11:45pm and got off the phone at 11:47pm. Was told 15min for food to be ready. (I always give 5min extra) @12:06 I get a call saying "your food has been ready for a while. Where are you?" AS I'M PULLING INTO THE PARKING LOT. This confused me because it's only 4 min past "agreed" time. As I walk in 2 tables are busy and my food is staying on the counter like it just came out as he called me. #2 FOOD QUALITY: food was sooooo poor I wouldn't feed it to my dog. First of rice was clearly DAYS OLD. Fried rice meat was super dry, flavorless and chewy. General tsao was an abomination. BURNT chicken dosed in sauce. Chop suey gravey is just water. (SEE PHOTOS). When I went back, I told them to try the food and see if they would pay $24 for it. #3 PORTION SIZE/COST. Are yall serious 5 sweet sour chicken pieces and 4 chop suey chicken for $15? Highway robbery on Naperville folks. Every other review on here says the same things. #4 inflated ratings: if you look closely some reviews on here are fake and the accounts are not real. There has been remarks of owner giving discounts on good google reviews. Avoid this place at all costs!
Consistently great Chinese food! We love that this place has been local family owned and operated for decades. They know regular customers by name and if they have a moment, will stop to chat with you and catch up on things. We usually get food for take out but they do have a small, modest, and functional dining area.
Charkies
I order a Greek salad, It was really good. We had a complementary chicken soup. Dinning room is neat , 100% recommended.
Haven't been here in a while so we figured we'd our original review. This place is top notch with a robust menu of treats & fresh food, cooked by a great family! The prices are very reasonable...my coworkers loved it & we will be back to support the locals!! Word to the owners keep up the great & fast service!!

India Palace Restaurant
we’ve been coming here for 22 years!! we now live in downtown Chicago and I can still say this is the best Indian food I have ever had. We come back to the city for this. This Restaurant has survived COVID-19, and nothing has changed. The quality, the service, the restaurant itself has remained the same since it began. It’s a family owned restaurant and definitely worth it. Please come here, it’s the true taste of Northern India!!
We’ve been loyal customers of this family-owned Indian restaurant for over 15 years, and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. We've catered from here for numerous family events, and it's always a hit. What sets this place apart from other Indian restaurants is the consistency—whether we dine in or cater, the quality is always excellent. It’s rare to find a restaurant where every visit feels like a treat, but that’s exactly what we experience here. This is our go-to spot for great Indian food, especially for family gatherings. Highly recommended!
Ki's Steak & Seafood Restaurant
The owner and staff are very friendly. The restaurant is decorated for the holiday. We tried the baked French onion soup, and it was good. We also tried the filet trio with mash and asparagus, the patty melt, and the Beef Wellington. Everything was cooked just right and tasted great. We will definitely visit again.
Food was good specially the Calamari and Shrimp De Jong. The lobster was SUPER SUPER expensive. The menu stated saying it was “Market Rate” but when the bill came out, the dish turned out to be $90+. The customer should be made aware if the price is this high.
