Wu's House Naperville
This place was beautiful. We went for New Year's and were waited by Jacky. He was incredibly nice and looked very happy to be helping us. He was apart of the reason why the experience was great. The atmosphere was incredible. It was very unique and unlike anything I've been to before. It was a huge open area, with many different spots to sit at. Very pretty and atmospheric. The food was incredible. It wasn't cheap, probably 20-60 dollars a person depending on the meal and whether or not you get hibachi. The drinks were incredibly refreshing, I would recommend the Passion fruit or Mango tea. The sushi rolls, although expensive, are very filling (unlike most sushi rolls) and we're incredibly well prepared and made. The Happy roll was amazing, the mix with the flavors of the mango and shrimp as well as the sauce on top was incredible. I would recommend this place for any special occasion. It has a wide variety of food and offers many different choices of fish and meats. The atmosphere was incredible, and the hibachi was a very unique experience that you can't get from any other grills I've been to.
The ambiance at this restaurant is amazing— it's a beautiful place. However, I found the food to be a mixed bag. Some dishes, like the tempura, were quite bland and lacked a bit of salt, while others, like certain sushi rolls, had overly heavy sauces that masked the flavor of the fish. The Kani Salad was delicious, though! Their milk tea was great, too. I ordered the taro milk tea and it was really nice.
Nawabi Hyderabad House - Biryani Place
Last week Friday my friends and me went for lunch, we ordered Rajugari goat pulav and vijayawada special chicken biriyani. Goat pulav was good but chicken it have more food color. And every time when I eat here in one thing I’m unsatisfied with food because they give pices more and rice less.🥲 just a request please reduce the color and balance the biriyani.🙏
I visited this place a few years ago and was disappointed, so when my friends suggested going again, I was very skeptical. Reluctantly, I agreed, and I'm glad I did. They have significantly improved their vegetarian biryani options. Most of the staff is super nice and welcoming, creating a pleasant atmosphere right from the start. The service is quick, and the food is affordable, which adds to the overall positive experience. We started with an appetizer called Baby Corn 65, which was just okay, but the biryani, especially the weekend special Vijayawada Biryani, was really good. The biryani featured pieces of deep-fried and marinated vegetables mixed with flavorful rice, making for a satisfying dish. We also tried the Ullavacharu Biryani, which was amazing. It had a unique flavor profile that stood out. Additionally, the puffs they offer are quite nice, and the masala soda is refreshing, providing a nice complement to the meal. Overall, this place has transformed into a good spot for biryani, thanks to updated management and better food than before. The improvement in their vegetarian biryani options is notable, and the quick, friendly service enhances the dining experience. Despite my initial skepticism, this visit turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The combination of affordable prices, tasty food, and a welcoming environment makes it worth a visit. In summary, if you’re looking for a good biryani place with improved vegetarian options and an overall better dining experience than before, give this place a try. The changes in management and menu have clearly paid off, making it a spot I would now recommend.
New China Hut
Tonight I ordered from New China Hut, and I have to say, the experience was flawless from start to finish. At all three stages—the phone order, the delivery, and the food itself—everything was beyond perfection. The phone order was taken with zero confusion, and the team made it seamless. The delivery was impressively quick, and the lovely young woman who dropped it off was super friendly (we accidentally traded pens though—so if you’re missing one, I’ve got it!). And then there was the food—the best Chinese food I’ve ever had! Every dish was packed with flavor, arrived steaming hot, and was cooked to absolute perfection. Special shout-out to the Friday night dream team, you all made the experience unforgettable. This is officially my go-to spot for Chinese food!
The food tastes great! But I ordered sizzling rice soup and was given what looks like egg drop soup.
Golden Corral Buffet & Grill
We try golden coral buffets everywhere we go. Its hard to find a super great one, its been hit or miss but this location has to be my absolute favorite Golden Coral by far, and we have tried quite a few. We have come here several times in the past, and it's still my favorite. We drive over an hour to come to this one. The food is very good and fresh, the variety is great. There are both red and green mexican Pozole soups at this location, which surprised me the first time we came to this location. The service is great, our waiter was nice. Everything I had tasted great. The flavor was good. I recommend this golden coral location if you're in the area. 👍👍
We came here for dinner and there was no one at the front to let us pay so we could go sit. A kitchen staff member had to come out to ring us up. We sat down and got a friendly server but sadly we could not communicate as she only spoke Spanish. I went up to get food and the first bowl I picked up was covered in caked on food. Decided to grab plates instead, the same kitchen staff who came to ring us up happened to be the grill cook and he was on his phone while handling the food. The steak was mostly fat. A few of us had gone through our drinks and had asked to get refills which never happened. So I had to go get refills from the front where I was asked twice if I'd already paid and had said yes both times. It was not a great experience but we ate and left.
On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina
For those who love Tex-Mex or want to enjoy live guacamole, this is a great place. It's casual and offers Mexican flavors. The food was decent, the ambiance was just okay, and the service was relatively slow. Normally, the chips and salsa served at the beginning aren't very savory, but we found them, especially the chips, quite appetizing. It's a good way to pass the time while waiting for the food, especially when paired with fresh salsa and chips along with draft beer. The food was a bit slow to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait. Whether we ordered the border bowl, grande taco salad, or the quesadilla and fries combo from the kids' menu, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Finally, the brownie sundae was the perfect way to end the meal!
Have liked this place for a long time but don't go very often. I appreciate that the chips are nice and hot. The service was great, although there were only a couple other tables since we were there at 2:30 pm. I enjoyed the margarita flight. I was surprised to like the strawberry. I was expecting it to be overly sweet but it was not.
Biryani Pot
Chicken tandoori was mostly uncooked. On calling to explain the problem, we were told some people prefer partially cooked chicken (isn't uncooked chicken a health hazard?). They would not refund. Only willing to put a credit on my name for next time. No plans of ever going there again.
I recently visited Biryani Pot in Gurnee Mills and had a mixed experience. The ambiance was pleasant, but the food left something to be desired. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, and while it was good, it didn’t live up to my expectations, especially given the restaurant’s biryani-themed name. There is definitely room for improvement in the flavor and overall preparation. The second dish I ordered was the Mutton Curry, which was quite disappointing. It was overly oily, and some of the goat meat had very little meat on the bones. This made the dish less enjoyable and not up to the standard I was hoping for. While there were some positives, I think there’s significant potential for improvement, particularly with the dishes that are supposed to be their specialties. I hope to see better quality in the future.
Royal Buffet
The worst Chinese Buffet I have ever experienced, and at $20/person I can't believe it. I am not picky, I've never had a Chinese buffet I wouldn't return to, this one is it. The food was all obviously out since lunch (we were there from 4:30-5:15) and cold, hard, and disgusting. The cheese wontons, prepackaged desserts, and ice cream were the only edible things in the whole place. I didn't feel confident enough to try the sushi after I tried the rest of the food, and their warning sign above the sushi saying you can get sick from raw foods. Yeah. Only if they are improperly handled, so I guess that's what the warning is. The women's bathroom also smelled absolutely horrific. I worked plumbing for about a decade, this was a top 5 worst smells ever. I don't know how bad their sewage leak is, but it is smelling like it is leaking and has been for a WHILE. My stomach is made of iron, but this bathroom made me gag. The seats were also completely falling apart, I fell right into the first bench I sat on, one half was completely broken, all of them had the standard rips and tears, but the completely broken booth was a new one for me. I'm sorry that this review is so harsh, but it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had and I love shitty Chinese buffets.
This place is not even a shadow of what it used to be years ago. It used to have great food, freshly made and it was always hot, if it was suppose to be hot, cold if it's suppose to be cold. Not anymore, some of the food is either luke warm, or cold when it suppose to be piping hot. Also not as fresh as it used to be, some of the food items were tough. The best part is the section where you pick your own vegetables, raw food and they cook it for you, while you watch. Even the plates by the buffet were not properly cleaned. I brought all of the issues that I encountered to the attention of the management. I hope that they turn this place around and fast before is too late. The whole experience was very disappointing, to say the least.
Wong's Knights Chop Suey
Found two separate hairs in two separate dishes and when we called to simply ask for a new dish or a refund they then attempted to call us liars and treat us as such. We've been on the phone with them for over 10 minutes now just to return the food and get our money back and they are still arguing with us. This place is disgusting.
Our order was wrong. The food was cold. The american chopsuey was congealed. This was not the first time this has happened, but we wanted to give them another chance. When we called to complain we were told to bring it back. They should have had someone deliver another order. When we told them they were probably going to lose a very good customer they couldn't have cared less. We miss the previous owners, Wong Knight's. Next time we'll just stick to Dan's Pizza next door.
Chicago Snooker Academy
Amazing food the best chinese food in town and good service too. The snooker table are well maintained too and the area is clean as well. Must visit if you are in Chicago if you are looking to play snooker and have best food at same place.
Off a little side room in Tai San Chef are 2 beautiful Snooker tables. $20 per hour anytime the restaurant is open. You can also watch matches streamed live. Hubby & I had a great date night here. We were there 2 hrs & it was so much fun! I highly recommend it!
KaKa Snacks
Food is good and cheap! I love it! Owners are so sigma!!!
Noodles and Company
Walked in there was a girl on her phone, who barely acknowledge me when she could’ve taken my order. I’m not a stickler about being on your phone when you’re at work, but if there’s a customer there like don’t do it in the front of house, the man who took my order was sweet, but I did notice that I saw no one washed their hands or put gloves on. As someone who used to work for noodles and Company I hold them to a higher standard than maybe most people do and I was extremely disappointed with my experience while being in there I have hope that the food is good, but I am not overly hopeful with the team that was in front of me that gave me my meal
The noodles are fine, exactly what I want at a price that is fair. The evening staff at the 75th and Lemony are really young but helpful and nice. Maybe work on the quality control?
Grand Duke's Restaurant
More like Grand PUKES. FOOD WAS COLD AND DISGUSTING!!! Nobody in there and the server came around only 3 times. Took forever to get our food, too. In addition to that, staff was MOPPING the floor while we're attempting to eat this garbage food. Cool chemicals surrounding me. Unprofessional to say the least. I would rather starve than go here again.
Excellent dishes -wide variety-stuffed cabbage , schnitzel, sausage. So delicious! Good sized portions. Very good drinks & wide variety of beer.
