Panda Express
I paid extra for my shrimp and chow main order they gave me the wrong order then refused to fix it. when I asked l the employee Xavier to speak with a manager he laughed in my face and I was told they are not available this is 7pm on Tuesday your managers go home that early? I am pecatarian I don’t even eat chicken, now I have to spend more money else where what a joke. Close the store at 7pm too when you leave and don’t leave the staff to screw people over? You gave me the wrong order I paid more money for my food and still got nothing. Go to sabaro or something this location sucks
I was told to wait 6 minutes for fried rice but instead of that they scraped the pot with the burned rice that was standing there who knows how long and they served it to me. I was there 1 hours before closing. Yes they refunded my card without refund receipt and I will see if they will actually refund me but I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. Shame on you.
Dragon One Chinese Restaurant
We thought $55 was a lot of money for two large entrees and a large House fried rice (pork, shrimp and chicken) but when I picked it up there was a LOT of food. The Mongolian Beef was thick and juicy and maybe the best we ever had. We didn’t really know what Empress Chicken was but we ordered it anyway (because they don’t have sweet & sour chicken). It was disappointing because we didn’t want deep fried chicken. The House rice was a lot of food and delicious. We will try Dragon 1 again and we’ll order the Mongolian Beef again!
Food was great, great trick with the jumbo shrimp but Im never ordering them again next time try using actual jumbo shrimp and maybe not overcook them
Panda Express
The food was okay, it tasted a bit bland, but overall it was decent. The service was good and overall they were kind and quick, which is something I liked. I thought the atmosphere was decent, but it was a bit dirty; it didn't really affect my experience. Overall I think my rating was justified.
Chinese fast food restaurant in Yorktown centre. It is located in the food court of the mall. Similar to other Panda express restaurants. Service was fast and professional. Many tables to sit close to the restaurant. I like sitting by the window where you can see outside.
Panda Express
I used to like Panda Express before things have changed this last few years. Maybe the new management? Or They didn’t train their staff well? But this happened so often now. We always order family meal. We used to get home and the portion of all boxes are packed full. Now, every time we get home, the food portion loses 1 to 1.5 inches in height because they loosely pack the food. You can see the pictures. We didn’t eat any yet. This is not the Panda Express we used to know for years before Covid. They already increased price significantly over time and yet try to cut down portion. Make no sense. If you gonna reduce portion, then don’t change the price. Last time also, I ordered a plate through drive through. Got home to find out missing one entree. Waste money on that. Later I came to order another meal, told the manager, they couldn’t do anything about it. Poor service!
Absolutely ridiculous! I ordered the broccoli beef for take out and they put a load of broccoli and 3 pieces of meat. Not cool.
Baisi Thai Restaurant
Our appetizer was fresh spring rolls. They were a wreck, and a ripoff. Someone couldn't even bother to roll the ingredients enough so they stayed inside? Every place we have ever gone gives you double what we were served. Maybe they ran out... The food didn't taste at all like Thai food. We always get the same dish when trying a new place- Beef Lard Nar and Pad Khee Mao (Thai Drunken Noodles) with Chicken. Both are noodle dishes and the texture of the noodles is critical. Both were mushy and im not sure they were even rice noodles. The seasoning was totally off and not even vaguely tasting like Thai. Will not go back. Also, we have no idea what we paid for what. See the photos of our check.
First time eating here. They used to have a TM Basil in oakbrook mall and I miss it! Not sure if it’s the same owners or different but this place is good. The pot stickers were meh.. they need to add some vinegar with the soy sauce to give it some more flavor but the rest of the food was good.
Panda Express
Roxanna is a jerk. Gave us little meat when the person ahead of us got twice as much. Right in front of our face. There were 3 pieces of sesame chicken left and didn’t even put it in. The top of the bowl isn’t even covered. The person waiting for the orange chicken before us got 3 full scoops of orange chicken while we got 1 and a half. Like come on now Roxanna. What’s your problem.
It was my first time. Almost all the meat was spicy, service 50/50. The first guy with glasses almost yelled at me but the cashier was nice
Lucky Wok Chinese Restaurant
My friend and I were biking around when we found this adorable little resturaunt with some of the best asian food I have ever had. I have been to some of the nicest Asian restaurants in the country, including Shanghai Terrace in downtown Chicago at the Peninsula and this beats all of it.
Update 3/12/2024: Lucky Wok changed ownership and unfortunately so did the quality and serving sizes. While I will go back for my bitter melon craving, it’s no longer my go to Chinese place anymore. ——————————————/ My absolute favorite Chinese place in the West Chicago Suburbs!! While it's only a takeout place, the food, price, and service is fantastic! Your neighborhood hole in the wall that's worth driving to even if it's 5+ miles away as I do at least twice a week. I'm truly fortunate to have Lucky Wok as my go to as I only eat veggies, fruits, and beans. The veggies are great and the meat dishes are even better!
China wok
Horrible place to get food. Found a hair on my food and she said I don't thinkso. I also asked for extra hot sauce and she said all I get was a two ounce for 4 quarts worth of food.
They have the best Chinese around, but please watch the servings. I feel like I got more rice than chicken this time. I always love your food though. I shouldn’t even be complaining. That’s why you guys get five stars. I’m sure it was just a simple mistake again best food around.
Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant
This is the most disgusting Chinese food I think I’ve ever eaten in my life. Everything taste like burnt oil. It was so gross. I wasted $70 on trying several of their items and everything tasted burnt and disgusting. Don’t order from here. You can’t tell by the picture, but I had to throw all of this away because how gross and inedible it was
Called phone for 25 minutes with no answer. Recording would occasionally come on saying cellular customer was not available. Drove here anyway, 18 minutes. They were open. Asked why no one answered phone and was told he was in the kitchen. There were 4 staff in the kitchen. I told him I wanted a free egg roll as I was going to now wait 20 minutes for my order. The egg roll was below average, as it always is. Spicy garlic chicken was very weak. Little chicken, way too much broccoli. Very wet and not much garlic or spicy. BBQ pork egg Foo Young was not even average. I've been eating here for 20 years. There are new owners in the last year. I will no longer order the food from here. Will need to find a new restaurant. I will tell all friends and family who eat here how horrible the service and food has become. Very disappointed!
Sarku Japan
Went to Sarku because there was no line and usually it is packed. Food was delicious, went home and had some leftover chicken which I fed some pieces to my dog. Hours later I feel sick, and vomited several times all the Sarku. After I cleaned, I went downstairs and the dog had vomited too. Maybe it was a bad batch but it was so bad I had to take off work the next day.
One of the heathier options in the eatery. Quick service and reasonable price for the quality.
White Castle
Sliders are still a tasty late night snack! Did not try them but the sloppy joe options sounded good....next time. Skip the fries and at absolutely avoid the chocolate shake. It's the worst shake I've ever tasted and has the consistency of whipped synthetic mucus. One sip and in the garbage it went
First time here and last time! We ordered double cheeseburger sliders to done in. The rolls were so full of grease and soggy before we even sat down. I could not even take one bite; it looked awful! Every single sugar free option in soda machine was available!
Honkaku Sushi
COCKROACH in my food. This was previously a favorite restaurant for my daughter and I. Until 12/18/24 when we had a cockroach that was fried while hiding in the crease of our crab Rangoon. We dined in for the all you can eat sushi lunch and when we got the appetizer, crab Rangoon, my daughter asked if that was a bug in the food. Naturally I automatically replied no but when I looked there was a fried cockroach clear as day on the crab Rangoon. I told the couple dining next to us and they looked and confirmed it was indeed a cockroach I was looking at. Obviously this ended our lunch. When I told the female server and showed her the roach she said “sorry about that”. My daughter and I left but I’m disgusted when I think of how many roaches must be running around for there to be one that somehow got fried in our food which is typically stored frozen prior to being cooked. It looked like it was “hiding” in the folded outside part of the Rangoon . I want to puke thinking about all the times we have previously eaten here. I intend to report this to the health department, but for now I will share the pictures as a warning to others.
My fiance wanted to order sushi tonight, but I opted for fried rice and chicken karaage instead. Unfortunately, what I received was CHICKEN NUGGETS. Look at them. There's no mistaking that those are chicken nuggets. They're even the same shapes as McDonalds nuggets--the circle, the bell, the boot...that one that's vaguely diamond/rhomboid-shaped. Seriously though, it's laughable and incredibly insulting that a restaurant thought that ultra-processed nuggets were an appropriate substitute for karaage--especially if they thought they could fool an East Asian person who knows full well what karaage is supposed to be. If they were going to knowingly send along nuggets, the least they could have done was make sure they were fresh. I was annoyed that it wasn't karaage, but I can still get down with some tasty nuggs. But NARP. The breading wasn't remotely crunchy, and it had that off, stale flavor that suggested it had sat in a musty back room for several hours. Did they run out of karaage and give me their leftover lunch in a panic instead? Because that's what it tasted like. If I had known this would be my experience, I would have just run out to the golden arches and gotten myself a proper 10-piece. Oh yeah, the fried rice was odd too. It didn't taste bad per se, but the flavor was more akin to pilaf. Just an extremely bizzare, disjointed, and altogether disappointing experience. If my fiance suggests ordering from here again we're going to fight about it. Not literally of course. But there will be a heated exchange of words.
