Yummy Yummy Asian Cuisine

When I walked in the door the smell of mango and pineapple was delightful. This restaurant is very fresh. They offer a lot of fresh fruit smoothies and boba tea. I ordered the General chicken lunch special. I paid $2.00 extra to have fried rice. It was very good . I also ordered a crab ragoon. Also very good. I wish they had a smaller order you only have one order of six. I will definitely be back they have great flavors and are very fresh. They have Coke products, and have can pop.

Western Union sponsored my fortune cookie. My fortune said, "Your heritage and values define your journey - embrace them as you move forward". Then on the back there was an ad for Western Union. I don't want my fortune to be sponsored, but maybe this is just the world I need to get adjusted to. Any unused space is wasted space. Instead of just having things be, we should look for how things can be used to promote a message. So that's what I've started doing. There is so much wasted space on grave tombstones. Instead of just having a person's name, birthday, deathday, and small quote...why not throw in an ad. "Allstate, you're in good hands", that could be reassuring for loved ones and could drive business for Allstate, win win. If you want a sponsorship on your tombstone, first you have to live a life worth sponsoring. No company is going to sponsor a tombstone that is getting zero views, that's just bad business. They need the best cost per view. A person that positively impacts a bunch of people throughout their lifetime is going to drive way more traffic to their tombstone than someone who isolates themselves from the world. Anyway, the advertisement in my fortune cookie threw me off, but it didn't take anything away from how amazing these Korean vegetable dumplings were.

Shanghai Inn Restaurant

We had delivery so I can’t comment on service or atmosphere. I had the Mongolian beef and my partner had the beef with broccoli (not pictured) and we split some crab raccoons and egg rolls. The Mongolian beef was good with portions. We both ordered large so we could veg the next day. The Beef wasn’t chewy and fair w/ vegetable portions. It wasn’t bad but I’ll probably try something different next time. The crab raccoons were pretty decent with filling and size. The tips were winged and super crispy. I saw “crabmeat “ unlike some other places that just fill it with cream cheese. The egg rolls were fairly portioned and the crisp level was 10/10 filling was average not lacking flavor.

Shanghai inn really is a blast from the past. It brings back memories of how Chinese restaurants used to be feel like. So I like that a lot. The quality was really good. The best dish was the shrimp fried rice! I would highly recommend that dish!

Chop Suey Huang

Chop Suey Huang has some of the best house fried rice that I’ve ever had! The rice was so rich with flavors and fresh and tasted just as good as hibachi fried rice. They also have these huge chicken wings that are to die for! The wings are seasoned to perfection and taste so fresh. The chicken didn’t have a bad scent and tasted very good I highly recommend. Their low mein is also very delicious as well! Very well prepared and put together with its how they were to make it taste so good! The vegetable rolls are also so good. Customer service is wonderful as well you won’t be disappointed ordering your food here!

I love going here for some food. The staff is really friendly and quick, and the place is clean. Plus, the prices are good, and you get a lot of food. Definitely check it out if you're in the mood for some great Chinese food!

Tasty China

First time here. We are desperate to find an economical choice for Chinese food that is healthy, consistent, and doesn't rip us off. We ordered our first test dishes, and were not disappointed. The egg foo young had a decent amount of shrimp, was moist inside, crispy outside, and not floating in grease. The second dish was Pepper Steak. The meat was tasty, perhaps not as tender as other places, but acceptable. The fermented black bean sauce was a bit on the "wuss" side. It had some taste, but missing that special pungent kick you expect. Shrimp fried rice was plentiful, not bad tasting, and not greasy. Egg rolls were a decent size and tasty, but missing that all-important peanut butter! We will go back and try our round two test dishes. Stay tuned...

7:05 pm ... advertised as being open till ten Edit: Despite having this experience I would still highly recommend this establishment. Every time they have given me food it has been delicious. Admittedly I usually get either some variety of the chow fun or fried rice. But every time the meat is perfect, the noodles are soft but not overcooked, and the veggies are crisp but cooked enough. Seasoned just right.

Great Sea Restaurant

So happy I found this place! Service is welcoming and fantastic. Prices are fair. The food was incredible. The lollipop wings were plentiful and the sauce they came in was incredible. The egg rolls ere also a home run. I can only assume the rest of the menu is the same quality.

I had it for delivery, I've tried their lollipop chicken before, and it was awesome. It fell short this time. I would not recommend their orange chicken. Their crab rangoon was ok. Their strawberry smoothie was really good. The food was expensive. It's definitely not worth the price.

House of Wah Sun

Wanted to come here since they opened and finally had the opportunity. Since chicken and broccoli is so hit or miss here in Chicago, I opted for the “safer” general tso’s chicken, which lacked spice and was actually really sweet. The sauce was just drizzled over the chicken, leaving much of it dry and hard, not at all the meal I had hoped for. The primary reason I wanted to try out this restaurant was for the egg rolls, but that too was filled with this disappointing paste, instead of the usual egg roll filling I was looking forward to. Glad I finally got to try it, now I can cross this place off my list.

First off I used to love this place when it was located on Lincoln! We went here on Irving Park and we were so disappointed. The food was tasteless! The rice was just dark and no flavor! The Szechuan tofu again was tasteless! The tofu they use is way too soft. The sauce had no flavor and it wasn’t even all that spicy. One thing I will say is the vegetables were fresh. The crab Rangoon was overly fried. We felt so uncomfortable because the waitress kept coming to our table every 3 minutes refilling our water. We felt very rushed. They were closing at 2:30 and we got there at 1:50 we had plenty of time to eat in peace, but that definitely didn’t happen. The We will not be going back.

Orange Garden Restaurant

9/17 - I have been going to this terrific Chinese restaurant since my grandparents took me there in the 1950’s. Always great food and fast service. Anna and Julie are warm and friendly. 12/2 - Another great dinner. Love coming here. Anna and Ben are terrific waiters staff. 12/25 - Delightful to go on Christmas Day. Anna and Matt were terrific hosts. 2/10 - A terrific dinner. Ben was, as always, very friendly at the checkout! 3/12 - A great meal with very large proportions. Enough for two more meals at home. Anna and Ben were terrific. 4/3 - Ben and Julie were very friendly. Love this restaurant.

This place never disappoints! Best egg rolls and crab ragoon that I’ve found. Definitely get the sesame chicken. Cute little neighborhood Chinese spot that’s been here for years!

D Cuisine

421reviews

This was my first time dining at a Chinese restaurant, and D Cuisine absolutely exceeded my expectations. Honestly, it’s what Panda Express could only dream of becoming! Huge thanks for being open on Christmas—it made our holiday meal so much better. The staff was incredible, especially considering they were managing the entire front of house with just 2-3 people, which was super impressive. Despite being short-staffed, the food came out quickly, hot, and fresh. Every single dish was delicious, and the best part? It was incredibly affordable for the quality and taste. I’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend D Cuisine for anyone craving great Chinese food.

pretty decent option for dimsum in lincoln park. there was no wait for a party of 7 at 12:30 on a sunday. servers were very friendly and food came quickly. overall a pretty positive experience despite a few complaints about some of the dishes. especially enjoyed the shrimp dumplings and siu mai. both were quite stuffed and very flavorful. the turnip cake was a bit soggy (barely any crisp), and the sticky rice wasn’t sticky enough

Szechuan Corner

This spot is primarily for takeout, so dining in wasn’t the best experience, as service was minimal. The food was decent, though the options were limited and nothing stood out above what you’d find at an average Sichuan place. The garlic pea pods were a solid choice, though.

Hidden gem! Really authentic Chinese cuisine. Our second time back, the spicy boiled fish is a must have!

Shang Noodle Chicago Streeterville

Shang Noodle is awesome. I had the House Special Stir-Fry with tofu and white rice. The food came to our table super quick, which was greatly appreciated since we were pressed for time. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t even finish. The flavors were incredible, and all the veggies tasted really good together. We also loved the ambiance and the attentive service, especially from our waitress. I'm always happy when they serve me water right away. If I were staying in Chicago a little longer, I’d definitely be going back!

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Relatively new spot. The service was fantastic. Don’t come here if you’re a big fan of soup dumplings but I’d still recommend because of the quality of the other dishes I tried during my first visit.

Wonder Chop

Stopped in on a whim craving Chinese for lunch. Pleasantly surprised with how delicious the food was. We got: - an egg roll - order of 6 fried pork dumplings - orange chicken lunch special - kung Pao lunch special Really tasty food that came out quick but there was only one other table eating at the time. Wait staff was very kind and quick to take orders. Interior leaves something to be desired. It's very clean, just feels a little character-less. Could use some more decor. But if that doesn't matter to you, all the better. Highly recommend and will be back myself!

I usually judge a restaurant by their goons and these goons were SO GOOD. but not only were the goons good, everything we had was tasty. Staff were literal angels. So sweet and friendly. We went on a cold/snowy winter day so as expected they had a lot of to go orders, but they still took really good care of us. Portion sizes were great. Probably the cleanest bathroom I’ve ever been in!
