We specifically drove here just for the tofu hot stone soup, and it did not disappoint! The tofu soup was amazing—rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. The entire experience at SGD was great, from the friendly service to the cozy atmosphere. I have to say I love their small dishes!!!The restaurant is located in a plaza with other great Korean food options too, making it a perfect spot if you’re craving authentic Korean flavors. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a fantastic tofu soup and an overall excellent dining experience!

We went to this restaurant a Saturday night randomly because we were doing grocery shopping nearby. The place was pretty big and there were quite a few people waiting in line. But we didn’t have to wait too long because service was super fast. We both ordered the tofu soup and I love how you can customize it. Our dishes came after like 5 minutes after we placed the order, and they tasted pretty good. The only thing was the soup was a bit salty. A nice place to have a causal stone bowl of soup special when it’s cold.

I can taste the chef's apathy. Truly some of the most flavorless and soulless food I've ever had. Portions are huge, but it's all filler. Very cheap meats. If you ask for something spicy, they just stick like three random whole peppers into the dish and consider the job done. The only thing that I could stomach was the fried rice, which still wasn't great, but was okay.

The food is delicious! The owner and workers are very friendly! This is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. Highly recommend it!

The meats are very good, portions were little small for what we were used to. I’ve heard so much about the side dishes (banchen) and frankly I was expecting more or better and turned out it’s average only. The staffs were wonderful since they speak fluent English 👍 and fast service too.

A popular spot for good reason. Service was great, and the atmosphere was good as well. Restaurant was full of Koreans (including myself) so it is a popular and good spot. Docked one star on food just because it is a tad overpriced, don't expect to get a cheap meal. That being said, the quality of the food is fantastic. Overall, a great spot.

Another "Once Upon" spots and first time at this one! Pictured here are their bagels for the day, and their Corned Beef Sandwich (on Rye Bread with mustard, and a pickle slice). Generous amount of Corned Beef as well as mustard. Not pictured here, but also grabbed a couple of whole tomatillos. Both pickles and tomatillos are seasoned perfectly. Steady flow of customers (regulars and first-timers) coming in and out. Friendly service here like other locations. A "Once Upon a Grill" is also in the same plaza.

I’ve been a happy customer coming here for many years and never had anything I didn’t enjoy. The food here has always been served fresh and delicious! I particularly would recommend their soft bagels and many cream cheeses as well as the Matzo Ball Soup (pictured) and the Gourmet Everything Flatbread Matzos. The Mish Mosh soup is also delicious! My go-to for authentic Jewish cuisine! They’ve earned my highest recommendation and so glad they survived the pandemic.

Very nice staff. The Flan is just too good to describe in words... Ya gotta try it, period. Tacos were amazing too, with some real hot sauce... Food for the body and soul!

The $17 burrito was definitely not worth it. Your better off going somewhere else.

I was highly disappointed at the Mango Sticky Rice. I love this dessert and eat it often, so I know how it’s supposed to taste. I was excited to try it at this restaurant. It tasted horrible. The sauce was watered down and the rice wasn’t fully cooked (crunchy texture). The Pad Thai and the beef and broccoli dish were okay. The owner is very nice, but the food wasn’t great. I’ve had more delicious Thai food. That will be my last time eating from this restaurant.

Second time ordering from here and man food is fire. Had the Peanut Rama Noodles this time around, my girlfriend had the Shrimp Pad Thai. Make sure you get yourself a boba tea. Personally love the taro. Food is fresh and leaves you feeling satisfied (like no food coma). The owners are super sweet. Can’t wait to try the homemade pumpkin pie. Saving that for midnight snacking 😋

good service, always friendly. food is really good and fresh, sometimes it takes a while to get your order but that's because it's made fresh when you order. couple of items when off the menu, I asked the server and he said he lost his provider for some of the ingredients and he couldn't find any more as good, so that means he would rather discontinue an item rather than making it mediocre, speaks of good quality fresh food!! Careful! I'm used to spicy food and even I think the mid/hot ¾ is dang 🔥 🥵

Had a lunch yesterday! Always happy with the food. Especially the Som Tum Salad! If the thai restaurant sell som tum and its good, no doubt for others food!

Mango sticky rice is so good! One of my only spots to get Thai tea since it’s so amazing here. The mango sticky had hair but the mangos were good.

Stopped in here for dinner before picking up a friend from Midway Airport. This Thai food was amazing!! I had the Thai egg rolls, chicken panang Curry and some Thai iced tea . Small restaurant of 6 tables, all full and phone orders coming in like crazy. Every one around me was raving about their food as well. I'll be back for sure !

Consistently great food here in Schaumburg and their other branches as well. Service is great and the space is big and pleasant. You can also watch the chefs cook your food in the kitchen behind the big glass! You’ll forget that this location is in a strip mall. Eat in or carry out. The next best thing if you can’t make it to Chinatown Chicago!

I enjoyed the dinner, nice atmosphere, the food was the best Mandarin I had in the area. I had the Kung pao chicken good but a little dry. The orange beef was a little dry also. The curry chicken and the sweet and sour chicken were perfect. The service was decent but they didn't follow up with refills.

Better than most lunch specials. Service was extremely quick and surprisingly a large amount of food. Egg drop soup was better than expected and the best egg roll I have had in the Chicago. Will def try lunch again and will return for dinner.

The staff alone makes this a good place to get food. They haven't returned to dine in since covid. That's the only bad thing I can say about this place.

We stopped by after the Bears game, drawn in by the fact that there were still people dining inside. A gentleman wearing a black Adidas shirt seated us promptly. However, before even handing us menus, he asked what we wanted to order. We requested a few minutes, as my husband and son had stepped away to use the restroom. As we prepared to sit down, I noticed a hair on top of an upside-down white ceramic cup on the table. When I pointed it out, the server casually picked it up along with the bowls and walked away without acknowledging the issue. Given how tired and hungry we were, we chose not to make a scene. When the food arrived, the presentation seemed fine, and the temperature was good. However, the taste was disappointing. The chicken fried rice contained pieces of plain boiled rice mixed in—white and unseasoned—which made it feel hastily prepared. The Mongolian beef was extremely salty, tasting overwhelmingly of soy sauce and lacking balance. We also ordered a large bowl of soup, which was generous in size. Even after four of us had some, more than half remained, so we asked for a to-go container. As my husband was about to transfer the soup, we noticed another hair floating in it. At that point, we decided to leave it altogether. Now, about the service. When ordering soup at most restaurants, condiments like soy sauce and black pepper are typically brought out proactively. Here, the server simply left the soup and walked away. We had to specifically call him back to request condiments. When the rest of the food arrived, there were no utensils or water, so we had to ask for those as well. Adding to the experience, while we were eating, the servers were clearing nearby tables extremely loudly—clanging and tossing dishes into bins with no regard for the atmosphere. By the end, we noticed the total seemed slightly off, but we were too exhausted to dispute it. With an hour and ten-minute drive ahead of us, we let it go. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. Hygiene seemed to be an afterthought, which is even more concerning given that the owners were present. It’s heartbreaking because we initially came to Chinatown hoping to visit Won Kow, our favorite spot, only to realize it had closed. May Flower seemed like the only viable option at the time, but it fell far short of expectations!

We've eaten here before and have always had a decent experience. We ordered sesame chicken, which my son loved. We also had the beef lo-mein, which was only ok. It needed to be a little more seasoned. Now, as for the actual restaurant. The decor was outdated and a bit on the dirty side. The fish tanks at the entrance had a foul smell, and the bathrooms were filthy. The waitress was not rude but seemed like she was having a horrible day. We had to ask for our fortune cookies at the end of our meal.

Sesame chicken is not sesame chicken. There is no flavor. I’m really hoping that the cooks messed up my order. I tried eating it but there is absolutely no flavor, I can’t even explain. Crab Rangoon not worth $8. Gelatinous cream cheese. Arrived hot and somehow the “cream cheese” is not melted.

We said no shrimp due to allergies and the meal was full of it. We were unable to eat any of our order and want a refund but no one is answering the phone. Wouldn’t recommend
