Tomo 68
very lovely restaurant with a beautiful menu and delicious food. Our waiter Taylor was so nice 🥰!
The food here is quite good with many different asian options. I’ve had their ramen and sushi platter here and I very much enjoyed them. The atmosphere is also great, I love sitting next to their fish tank. However, when I ordered the sushi boat I specifically asked to have it served with no white fish because I am very allergic, and the server ensured me that there was going to be no white fish in it (she said it was light pink so it would be ok for me). When I ate the sushi I got an allergic reaction anyways, which means it contained white fish even though I asked for it to be removed.
New Harvest Restaurant
It was nice to learn in warmer weather there is outdoor seating in the back of this restaurant. Five of us gathered at a table on the outer deck for conversation, libations and dinner. We ordered the homemade pot stickers, shrimp cocktail, potato pancakes with seared tuna and four lamb shanks again. One of our party chose the stuffed pork loin with spinach, bacon and cheese on orzo which looked marvelous. Our waitress said the stuffed salmon was also delicious. Check this place out if you're passing by on Route 8 or in the area. The owner is very kind and attentive. # Fine time and good food in this casual restaurant that blends upscale cuisine menu items and white tablecloths with more simple fare for regulars or those stopping in for a quick bite and a drink at the bar. Our party of four ordered three appetizers: homemade pot stickers, shrimp cocktail and potato pancakes at the request of our friends who know the owner well. The pot stickers were perfectly browned with a light pureed pork interior that was better than most. The Chef/Owner, "G" to his friends, said he made these at home for his family and added them to his menu when so many who tried them said he should, despite his concern his customers weren't looking for Asian food. The right decision. Our shrimp cocktail for four had good sized shrimp that was fresh and flavorful with the accompanying cocktail sauce and lemon. Two orders of crispy shredded potato pancakes came topped with sour cream and seared tuna slices. Our friends said they usually are prepared with salmon, which is also a good choice, but the tuna was a fine alternative. Two of us ordered the lamb shank. I ate mine with the accompanying polenta and the other plate was served with a mashed potato substitute. A third dish was creamy pesto penne with shrimp and vegetables. Nice. The fourth was scallops over risotto. Well seared scallops but there could have been five not four for a better portion. Salads served with the main were all good. I preferred my house salad to the three Caesar salads my party chose, but everyone was happy with their greens. House bread was okay. No room for dessert or time for coffee, but this is a place people should stop by when driving down the highway and the Beacon Falls exit sign comes into sight or if you live within an easy distance.
The food was tasty, the place quaint or quirky, the waiter seemed confused. The chef was late, stuff happens, so we got a little song and dance. I raised my rating one point for the song and dance :-) PS: Someone wrote a comment to me about the place being closed. I really have no idea but my rating did indicate the chef was late and gave a point back for amusing song and dance routine. Song and dance implies excuses and other compensations.
China Dragon
Literally single handedly the best Chinese American food experience in the entire state. The owner/staff are so friendly and hospitable, they are truly an asset to the community. Offering affordable and delicious, fresh, hot staples such as General Tso Chicken and Coconut shrimp (mine and my partners favorites) as well as crab Rangoon, dumplings, boneless spare ribs, etc. You will not leave disappointed, and your bellies will be full!
Worst General Tso Chicken I have ever had. The chicken was burned, no sauce and the rice was very dry. I had high expectations based on the reviews, however I was very disappointed. Oh, a thank you would also have been nice after I paid instead of just turning your back and walking away. Not recommended.
The Red Corner
The Red Corner is an outstanding restaurant!! My boyfriend and I order from here often. We usually order takeout but we’ve also dined in. The food is always high quality, and the staff are extremely friendly. The place is consistently clean, and they have really cool Harry Potter decorations up right now for Halloween. Highly recommend!!
This is the 2nd time I have visited this restaurant. The first time, I was not impressed. This time I was it was lunch and the food was excellent. The service was great, too.
Lumi Asian Fusion
My husband and I were excited to try this, and it definitely did not disappoint! I cannot wait to go back! The sushi was incredible and we both ordered a combo hibachi plate which came with a salad AND a tasty Miso soup. The two rolls we ordered to split were the Banana Trajn and Mango Bravo and the were wonderful. Really polite service and the decor was very tasteful.
Great Japanese food option. Were in the area for shopping, came across this place for lunch. Menu was extensive. Great place for casual lunch.
Asian Garden
Used to order from here all the time. Placed a big order recently which included a salad. Unfortunately my pregnant wife and 1 year old noticed well into eating this that the lettuce leaves were covered in bugs. Absolutely unacceptable to have food safety standards worse than a home cook. Thankfully no one got food poisoning, but this makes me sick.
This has become our family staple in Local Waterbury for GREAT Chinese Food and Sushi. The staff is extremely friendly and very cordial. Food is very tasty and prepared with love! I enjoy everything. My daughter loves their shrimp tempura and Miso Soup. My wife enjoys their Sushi. I've had almost everything and they NEVER disappoint.
Ali Baba's Kitchen
This place is a hidden gem! The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, and the food is delicious!!! Full of flavor, and everything is fully customizable! We order takeout from them a lot and they are one of the few local places that always impress me with their consistency. The ginger chicken is the best! They have lots of seating inside if you eat there, and a small parking lot out back plus street parking (I never have an issue finding a spot). Thanks for creating an aesthetically pleasing, delicious spot!
Food was delicious! The chicken and gyro bowl excellent recommendation by the cashier. Even though our order was missing ingredients (chickpeas) it was delicious.
La Borinqueña Restaurant
Food had great flavor. Place is a little small. The food food makes up for the size. The service wasn't bad at all. Overall, i would recommend this place for a quick bite to eat if your in the area. It's walking distance from St Mary's hospital.
The staff made me feel not welcomed. Everything was one price then he would add a extra dollar here and there. I really left feeling robbed I'm pretty sure the price was wrong. I paid $60 for small beans large rice, two meats and a salad.the salad was ice berg lettuce with 4 slices of tomato no dressing 😑 I asked for avocado he told me they are not ready Everything a problem. I asked for 1lb of pork he said $9 then comes and says it's over so it's $11 now. Okayyyyyy . Service needs work and not giving even dressing no sauces no napkins or forks isnt good.but food had great flavor only reason I gave 3 stars. Also I was trying to order pickup so I called 5 times and noone picked up I went to see if it's open and it was.
Noa by September in Bangkok
Absolutely delightful! Wanted to try the famed September in Bangkok but with a big group staying nearby Omni decided to try this one instead. Wow! Every single dishes tasted on point delicious with ingredients shining just right. For our group of 26 we did not feel gaps in orders and felt well taken care of. Kudos!
Great HH specials! Drinks were gorgeous, tasty and brilliant! Snacks were yummy ! Loved the wings , friend onions and tempura beans. Junior was amazing and the other bartenders as well! Michelle has a great vibe! Will def be back

8 Fifty Wood Fired Pizza
As crazy as it sounds most places do not fill up their martini glasses. This Cosmo was amazing. Great staff great place. A must try. 5 stars for sure.
I live in Middlebury and this is the first time I went to this restaurant. Generally, it was very good. Apparently they have expanded the space in recent times and have installed a very large bar with high tops. I had the Jagger pizza with vodka sauce, cherry tomatoes, and fresh mozzarella. It was really quite delicious and I believe it was made in the Napoletana style. Simple fresh ingredients, very thin crust, slightly burnt edges, and a little chewy as it should be. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, albeit a little inexperienced. I will definitely come back and try other menu items.
Lion City Chinese Restaurant
Worst Chinese I've ever had. Giving it an extra star since the service was good. Seriously BAD FOOD. The eggrolls are bland; it's like they have one ingredient in them. The crab rangoons- I had to throw them out after one bite! They were....grainy and slimey... like they were made with tiny bits of dry cottage cheese. The general tso should be a safe bet but no. The sauce is plainly okay (though it is very thick and gooey and they give you far too much of it) but the chicken they use has a thick, rubbery layer of bread and the chicken itself is sparce and dry. Definitely avoid this place.
Lion City has been there for many years - and offers a unique homemade sauce on their BBQ ribs. They offer standard Chinese food.. See photos. I think they make the best wonton soup around. The staff that works there is very pleasant, and Ming the owner will go out of his way to make you happy. Food is good.
