Taco King
Spent almost $42.00 for cold taste rice in all four of our entrees. Bland, cold rice. Ordered two shrimp combos. The shrimp had hard, crunchy ? Items in it, also lukewarm. The black beans with tasteless, really thick and lukewarm. This use to be my favorite go to Mexican Restaurant. I don’t know why they have changed the quality of their good, yet the prices are higher, but, I will be looking for another Mexican restaurant moving forward. Really disappointed in the quality of all four of our items. Had been a loyal customer since they opened here in Hamden Oh, and the tortillas are smaller, our were hard, and not hot at all
I absolutely love Taco King. I have not had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant, but it's one of my go-tos for delivery. It's not the prettiest, it's not groundbreaking, but what it is is delicious solid food for a really good price. They've never disappointed. Tonight I just got one of their Mexican pizzas, which I have never had before, and I was blown away. Great job as always, Taco King!
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Poor Food Quality - Gen. Tso Chicken was 90% breaded scraps of meat and skin. Seafood was Cheap, Freezer burned and stale. - Was good years back, will not go there again.
Extremely rude. The only word spoken to me was the amount of my food order, and with an impatient attitude. This has happened the last few times. I rather go somewhere else. Food is not so good that I need to tolerate being treated in such a manner.
Koi Sushi
Koi Sushi offers a satisfying all-you-can-eat experience, with an expansive menu full of delicious and well-executed dishes. The chefs demonstrate a high level of skill in preparing the sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese fare, ensuring each dish is fresh, flavorful, and meticulously crafted. The variety on the menu is impressive, allowing guests to explore a broad range of dishes, all prepared with care and precision. However, the ambiance at Koi Sushi is simple and functional, with little to distinguish it beyond its practical design. The temperature in the winter months can also fall just below comfort level, which may leave some diners feeling less than fully at ease. The music played is Chinese in origin, which is an unexpected touch for a Japanese restaurant and might not align with the traditional atmosphere one might anticipate. The service, while efficient, falls short in terms of warmth. The staff, while professional, often appear serious and somewhat disengaged, which affects the overall atmosphere. A more personable and welcoming approach would elevate the service and contribute to a more pleasant dining experience. Despite these elements, the food at Koi Sushi remains the standout. It is clear that the kitchen prioritizes quality and consistency, making this an ideal choice for those seeking a diverse range of well-prepared dishes.
This is an all you can eat sushi restaurant. It's a pretty small place. The sushi is decent, nothing to write home about but also nothing to complain about. I think the price for all you can eat is reasonable. However if you're there for a long time and eat a lot (maybe especially near closing time) they seem to kind of stop paying attention a bit to what you actually ordered and just put on whatever's left in the kitchen. Which wasn't a big deal, it was still good.
Jumbo Chinese Restaurant
The quality has gone way down!!!! Hardly any protein with my house special mei fun. 15 dollars for rice noodles.
This place doesn't allow you to pay with a card over the phone which is VERY inconvenient. I made sure to mention that when I picked up my order. They have a online ordering section on their website.....but it doesn't even work. My girlfriend couldn't even place an order for me. The combination plates were supposed to come with pork fried rice put the rice is whiter than me. I will never come here again.
Luen Hop Chinese Restaurant
I don’t normally leave reviews, especially negative ones, but I believe our experience tonight warrants one. We ordered a larger size order for the family tonight $74 worth of food. The gentleman over the phone was extremely friendly and nice and told us it would be 25 mins for pick up. We arrived and were told the order was not ready just yet. Which is just fine. 40 minutes later the food was ready. The guy worker was the only employee there and I believe he was the owner. Again he was very friendly and apologetic about the wait time. We did not mind waiting, in fact we were happy because he was being so kind to us. We get home and my 1 and half year old sits down to eat and as she is eating her steamed chicken I went and tried a piece and thought the texture was weird. Didn’t think too much of it because it was just a small piece. I then bit into a piece of beef and it was completely raw. I will attach photos. I then looked at my daughters chicken further and saw that was raw as well. I called to tell the owner that the food was raw and her was apologetic and said he would “do better”. We brought the food back because at that point we no longer wanted to eat because frankly we were a bit grossed out. We asked the owner to please refund us for the 4 meals that were uncooked because they were inedible. We were not looking for a full refund for the whole order, but only of the meals that we not properly cooked. His attitude had changed and refused to refund us . Told my husband to leave the store and that he was not refunding anything because “some restaurants serve raw food”. We were honestly a bit shocked with his refusal. This is the first time trying this restaurant and we obviously will not be returning. I’m very concerned that my 1 and a half year old ingested raw chicken. I will be monitoring her for the next day to make sure she does not get sick. This type of food should not be sold to customers due to it being a health risk. The health department has been notified.
Went to Luen Hop today for the first time. It's right next to Shoprite. Larry was the absolute BEST!!!! I'd give him 10 stars if I could! He went over some options on the menu with me because I wanted spicy veggies, then I asked about rice noodles and he recommended the Singapore Sling which I got with shrimp and veggies no chicken or pork which it usually comes with in addition to the shrimp. I asked for spicy and when I came back to get it I opened it and had some because I was very hungry. Wow, it was soooooo delicious!! Its curry rice noodles with ginger bits throughout and it was so good! The shrimp were very big! I can't have gluten anymore which I found out just before going for lunch and Larry said he has a lot of gluten free customers and he will make the brown sauce special, gluten free if you tell him before hand. He said he also has customers who he cleans the utensils and pans out for just before making their food because they are very sensitive to gluten! What a great guy!! He is super nice, positive, and willing to help you with any special food accommodations! I highly recommend you go see Larry and he will take great care of you !!! 👍👍👍👍👍🌞🍲 Thanks Larry, you rock! I'll be back to see you! Tell Larry Sue sent you!
China King
My first and my last time ever going here !! Very unorganized stuff all over the place , the lady was taking her anger out on her employees idk if she was frustrated or what but it’s no reason to act like that especially in front of customers . Meats sitting out for who knows how long !!, mind you my order took 30 mins !! 😷 . I’m so disappointed in my food it smelled old and nasty !! No manners .
Their food isn’t the greatest, but it’s not the worst so we still order from them once in a while. However, tonight we ordered from them at 7:15 PM and they close at 8 PM. The app allowed us to order and we did so only to find out when we got there at 7:35 PM they were closed, they took our order. Pretty bad customer service.
Wing Yum Chinese Restaurant
Not greasy. Food ready in 20 minutes. No complaints. Will be going back... Sesame chix and spare ribs were good, general tsao could use a little more kick, all in all, for an in town Chinese spot it takes the 👑.
Tried this place over the one in town. Absolutely terrible sweet and sour chicken. Thick uncooked breading, bland dry rice. Just very generic stuff. We go to Durham now. Best place around.
Yummy Yummy Chinese Restaurant
I ordered a pupu plater. With I ordered also a house special lo mein awesome my mom ordered the big shrimp with rice it was good she said my daughter ordered baby shrimp with rice she said it was good and my son ordered something else and he said it was good too so no complaints
If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered Chinese food for my husband and I and not even a hour after we ate the food we both began to feel extremely sick. 20 minutes after we began to feel sick we both began to throw up. We still feel horrible and we’re both in pain. The food was also very greasy. Greasier than most Chinese food I’ve gotten before but we were not going to waste $25. Please save your stomach the trouble and do not eat from here.
China City
For the longest. I have heard that this is the best in town but that is not my experience and I do not eat Chinese often enough to be picky. The crab Rangoon is not crispy, the rice is undercooked, the chicken is overcooked- some pieces are too tough to chew. If that wasn't enough, I also pulled a piece of plastic from my mouth.
I’m born and raised in Harlem New York , we are very adamant about the taste of Chinese food . This is by far the best tasting Chinese food I’ve tasted in the whole state of Connecticut
Main Wah Kitchen
This was my sweet and sour chicken. The inside was totally inedible! They put no care into this food. It was hard AS ROCK! Worst Chinese food in Hartford! Don’t go here.
I had to return my food after getting home to see it wasn’t what I ordered, I bought it back and watched them put the food right back in the pan for the next customer. There online menu isn’t available.. I have to stand in the glass billet proof room n order from speaker. The inside to appear dirty n cluttered, after seeing this I’m sure I won’t order from them again. $18.00 for a sweet n sour chicken with plain lo main. Definitely wasn’t worth it.
Empire Kitchen
Having just moved cross-country, I've been searching for "my" Chinese place - the joint in my old neighborhood was a tough act to follow! - and this restaurant is for sure it. Everything was hot and fresh. The moo shoo pork was perfectly cooked and had two different varieties of mushroom in as well as the cabbage and spring onion. The general tso's shrimp was spicy and delicious, and the veggie dumplings were super tender and tasty. The prices can't be beat either, this was way cheaper than the others we've tried and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Highly recommend!
Takeout for the first time. Excellent service. Lo mein a bit too salty, it does have great veggies. Will purchase from there again.
Five Star Chinese Restaurant
Glad I ended up ordering from her because it was one of the best Chinese food I’ve eaten outside of the usual back home. Ordered the white rice with chicken and broccoli with extra meat and boy they did not skimp on that extra meat. Got it spicy to add a little flavor and it wasn’t tasting too spicy but about the end of the meal I did find myself sweating a little. Had ordered a pork fried rice with sesame chicken for a friend and the sesame chicken was a different color from the usual. Once I had a taste of the chicken though… it was probably one of the better sesame chicken I’ve had. The sticky sauce was delicious and not overly powered by fish sauce. The coating didn’t get soggy from the sauce and was crispy until the very end. Customer service was great too. Girl on the phone was very polite and easy to order from and the kid in the store was very nice. Overall a great experience and I’ll be ordering from here next time I’m in the area.
Spent nearly $100.00 on take out food, had been a customer since a teenager and they can’t offer a 2litter drink with the order. The female who answer was very rude and cared nothing about customer service. She even asked if I wanted to cancel. Good way to do business.
