Great Service! Clean location! The food lacks flavor. I ordered vegetable fried rice and chicken wings, and both were very bland. The chicken actually had an aftertaste. If you love Chinese wings #StayAway. This is the second time I've ordered here and both times I've been disappointed. Also, the eggrolls have a funky taste, and have a brown substance in them that looks like beef. With that said, the service was great and the portions are plentiful.
This is the best Chinese in silver spring. My wife's family has been going here for more than 30 years. I'm happy we are keeping that tradition alive. My only advice; eat all the sesame chicken upon ordering. Since they use all white meat (they really do), it doesn't reheat well. All the other food is terrific upon reheating.
Noodle King Restaurant
Food was better a few years ago. We went with the family during the holidays and they were a mess. Entrees came out one by one. With a proper chinese meal, you would want most of the dishes arriving close together so you can eat them all together. Two of the dishes came out cold. We had to remake it but they just tossed it back in the wok. The Peking Duck seems like they cheated us and was missing quite a bit of meat. Service from the servers was terrible this time. Years ago it was much better. Might give them another try.
This is a cozy little Chinese restaurant. Its sign is easy to miss from the street, and the exterior appears a bit worn. Parking is limited, but usually sufficient unless it's completely full. Inside, the decor is simple and straightforward. The food here is not exceptional, but it's decent. The portions are sized such that if each person orders a dish, there won't be any leftovers. Prices are quite reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants. This spot is great for catching up with closed friends over a casual meal and chat. However, it's not the ideal choice for hosting formal gatherings or entertaining guests.
New China King
Delicious, high quality food. I grew up eating here and I stop in every time I’m in town now. Wonderful people and unique options for food!
This is a carryout only restaurant. It has easily become our go-to Chinese restaurant. The wait time has almost exclusively been 20 or 25 minutes. The food is really, really good. All meats and vegetables have been fresh. The service has been pleasant and efficient, and they have consistently provided accurate orders. The biggest bonus is that the owner is knowledgeable on gluten-free and can walk you through orders they can make gluten-free. Their soy sauce is NOT gluten-free, so she subs a white sauce in some cases. There are a number of selections that can be made gluten-free, so there is a varied selection. My husband (he does not require gluten- free) loves their homemade hot sauce as a spicy accompaniment. We highly recommend it.
Leong's on 23
this is probably my favorite chinese carry out in Michigan, the staples you expect are all perfectly executed. I can't wait 5o try the entire menu, but the sweet and sour is so good I find it hard to leave. I love this place, must stop if I'm passing by for a pint of sweet and sour. It just slaps so hard.
Great food! I ordered Cantonese noodles, fried rice, egg foo yound and fries wontons Everything was delicious. I will definitely eat hear again.
China Club
I was pleasantly surprised, carry out only. The steamed dumplings are some of the best I have eaten, amazing flavor and extremely tender. Sweet and sour chicken was fabulous, the fried rice was very good as well
Love this place , I usually stick to the same few dishes and the other day decided to scan the menu and try something different. Decided on the hot pepper chicken and never noticed they have donuts!!! Fried dough balls with sugar on them !! Both items were fantastic. I recommend to everyone get the donuts with every order !
Dynasty Restaurant
Wow, I was shocked when I went in there, it looks like storage unit. I'm sorry I really wanted to like this place. Egg roll, I'm pretty sure it was just reheated, my husband and i had the cashew chicken. Both of us took a couple of bites and decided not to eat anymore.
The 1st time I ordered the Almond Chicken fried rice 🥦 🥕 was so good with egg roll my brother loved the sesame chicken with fried rice , and the 2nd time I ordered we had shrimp egg foo young with 🦐 fried rice which was yummy 🤤 the portions were perfect . Sending my compliments to the chef 😊
Lucky 7 Chinese Food
This place is a swing and a miss for me. I like their rice but I got food poisoning last time I ordered. I think it was the chicken broccoli, My boyfriend got food poisoning the time before that from their pork. The food was tasty enough but proceed with caution...
Ordered fried rice and was given extremely dry white rice. Also ordered general tso’s chicken but the sauce tastes like buffalo wing sauce and not general tso’s? Vegetable spring roll was decent but just didn’t taste right. Crab Rangoon was soggy and barely edible. I’m new to town and trying to find a good Chinese place but this was so disappointing.
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
I have been going to the Great Wall Restaurant since 2005 and this is my first time reviewing. Initially in 2005 it was amazing, but after I visited China in 2015, I did not enjoy the food here as much. I believe the quality went down and things were bland. However, we got this now in 2025 and I have to say things really returned back to the roots and it was good. The vegetable delight had the vegetables with some texture and crunch making that dish disappear between everyone in the group. The lo main noodles were a great texture and the sauce was well balanced. Highly recommend checking it out if you have not gone there and if you stopped going, go back. They are a great restaurant supporting Ypsilant.
I'm not quite sure what happened on Christmas Eve, but it was a terrible experience. We knew because it was Christmas Eve that they'd be busy. For that reason, we ordered at 515p. I was told it would be an hour or a little more before it was ready. No problem with that. When I went to pick up the food, the place was packed. Again, no problem. I'm glad they had the business. However, long story short, it was that crowded because people were waiting literally hours for their food. I arrived around 625p to pick up my order (which was placed at 515p) and finally left at 745p. I'm not sure if they were overwhelmed with orders or what happened, but they need to look into their process on Christmas Eve. Kudos to the cashier. She was swamped with helping folks as well as dealing with a number of impatient customers. She kept her cool and looked to be doing as good as she could in this circumstance. This is my usual go-to Chinese restaurant. But I may have to avoid it next Christmas Eve.
China One
This place is small . It's a drop by kinda place to grab and go . My recommendation is to take your order to go. It's very warm inside just a couple of tables. In their defense, the food is solid Chinese fare . The service is to the point no chit chat . The atmosphere is meh . Good spot for a quick lunch . Very popular $6.99 lunch special!
New favorite spot! This is a hidden jewel. When you eat in, they bring your food hot and fresh to the table. Love it love it love it!!
T. Jin's China Diner
My daughter food was fresh and mine was cold and dry. After I told them the food was not good they tried to remake it and I told Them no I didn’t have time. So they tried to make me pay for food I didn’t eat and was upset with me. The front cashier and the waiter were very rude. I still left a small tip but the food is not good and the service is aweful. This is a 1 star restaurant. If you look on my picture you will see the rice is dry and the chicken looks like golf balls!
The lettuce wrap meal was wonderful! Way more than I could eat while I was there, but Happy to take home and enjoy again! The staff is friendly and helpful. Enjoyed it very much! Hope to find my way back again.
L & A China Cafe
I don't know why people are saying the food is great, it's just ok. Really 2.5, but there is no option for that. We ordered kun pao, combination fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and cheese puff. The cheese puffs have a different taste and texture than most cheesepuffs and just mediocre flavor. The kunpao was way too heavy in sauce, although I did like that it had a good amount of chicken. The rice was soooo greasy and lacking flavor. I appreciate that it didn't have much sodium like most, but maybe a pinch or some soy sauce or something was missing, very bland. The shrimp in the rice was very good btw. Also the egg roll in the kids meal was very good and crispy. I know in rosenberg it is hard to find good Chinese, but this place has hints of greatness , I think they can do better. Don't settle try to improve!
I review a lot of places and I have to tell you that very rarely does a waitress make me this uncomfortable. Not very happy or friendly. Not sure what was going on. She had a scowl and made me seem like we were a huge inconvenience. But the food is great. Actually the food is really really good. I honestly don’t think I will ever return though.
Grace Garden
This restaurant came strongly recommended by a friend, but it appears from other reviews that a lot changed with management this Summer (2024). We stopped in for lunch at the end of July and found most tables vacant but dirty, the service slow, and the food good. They do have a couple large round tables that could seat 7-9 comfortably, but we only had 4 in our party, so we chose a smaller table—the only one of about six such tables that seemed clean. They serve on nice plates—not infant-friendly—but they do have high chairs. The decor was a mix of old rave reviews on one wall, and what seemed like special event decor in the back. We did enjoy the food: Their orange chicken is spicy, but they were able to cater to a request for it not to be prepared spicy; we liked the result, and they didn't nickle-and-dime us for substitutions into their lunch special. They even included some free spring rolls because our order was over $30. We left a large mess because we had an infant with us, so we tried to tip well, rounding $38.45 ($6 appetizer, 3× $10 lunch specials, and $2.65 tax) up to $50 (about 30%, more than any of the tips recommended by their register).
The portions were good for 2-3. The fried rice were super good. These egg rolls fillings were really good. The Sesame chicken is good and I haven’t tried the spicy chicken yet. I got all these for myself thinking they are small portions and didn’t know that the fried rice comes with sesame chicken. Anyway, these dishes are good. They do not have own parking lot. Located Right by the high way. Looks like a mama papa store; nothing fancy. Staff is polite and helpful.
