Fu Lin Restaurant
We were greeted upon entering the building! As well as helped. They are very family oriented! The lady at the register was very helpful. We were told it would be a 10 minute wait on our to go order. It was actually ready in five minutes. Our order was brought out to us and we even got a drink on the house. When we got home our food was still nice and warm. The food was absolutely delicious! At an incredible price too! Fu Lin is a 10/10, I will definitely be returning.
I won't eat from any other. They are super nice. Food is by far the best in this area and the price is great. I can feed 5 and have left overs for the next day for less than $50. Thank you all so much for being so wonderful!!!
King Buffet
Me and my family and friends LOVE this place. The food is always fresh, the service is GREAT, and the price is Great!!!! I wouldn’t change anything… I’ve been a long time customer over 15 years!!! You can even select your own food from the buffet to go!!
Good pricing, clean restroom, polite staff. That’s about it when you want to write something positive about this place. I visited on Sunday during dinner time. Wonton soup salty as hell. Wontons burned. Other dishes dry and sitting forever. Bonus for shrimp selection. No sushi, melon is the only fresh fruit. That was a standard as Asian buffet 20-30 years ago. If someone is giving them max or close to max ratings it means that they haven’t tried any other buffet. Overall rating: 3.5/10 Food selection 4/10 Food quality 3/10 Pricing 9/10
Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant
Lucky Star is an amazing restaurant that I’ve been going with my family and friends for years. This place is always flourished with positive vibe, pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service. The food is always super fresh and delicious; facility is always kept clean, and friendly staff! You can tell that everyone there has invested their heart and soul into it. Highly recommend this hidden gem to everyone in the New River Valley!
If I could leave 0 stars I would. I get this is a Buffett in a small town, but come on, I can cook better than this. Styrofoam plates and cups. No AC, fans dirty as hell and probably haven’t run in years. Stay away
Peking House Chinese Buffet
We ate here for 2 consecutive days during our 2 days visit at WV. We loved the options for the food especially we have kids. The ambiance of the area is okay too and it's spacious. The service was great as well because every now and then, their staff will check on you. Thank you Peking House!
Today I visited Peking House Chinese Buffet for the first time and I was very satisfied. Great prices, and everything was clean and well-organized. The atmosphere was comfortable, and the food looked well presented. It was definitely a good choice, and I will be back for sure.
Hong Kong
Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - ordered a Hunan Roast Pork Dinner Special. Slight kick to the food but decent overall. The sliced pork seems to be cooked separately and then just added to the different dishes with the sauce and other ingredients. Service: 4/5 - English wasn't the cashier's primary language so she did sound a bit rude but it was very efficient service and to the point! Ambiance: n/a - only available for to go orders. The chairs are placed on top of the tables so it's not welcoming customers to sit. The wallpapers are peeling and decorations are faded. The bathrooms have a sign that says out of order but one of the workers used it while I was waiting for our food. Value for price: 4/5 - decent food, quick service, reasonable price. Note there is a higher cost to use credit card.
The food smelled better than it tasted. It’s always alarming with the rice is mushy. Over cooked. My son ate his dumplings very slowly, which never happens. Egg rolls were okay, my husband said his moo shu pancakes tasted odd. My sesame chicken tasted like a watered down version.
Tray King
Best Chinese food in the area. Take out only Great portion sizes. Highly recommend the Beef Lo Mein. One of the best I've ever tasted.
I had a take out Kung po chicken yesterday from thus restaurant. It was not anything like Kung po chicken. No spice. No sauce. Just pieces of chicken breast, and some veggies. It was actually almost inedible it was so bad. I cannot believe how badly the food quality has deteriorated for this restaurant. Not eating there again.
New Miyoshi
This place is consistently good, and offer some of the most reasonable prices in town. They deserve more credit. The woman in charge is nice as can be, and she does her best to understand requests, despite the language barrier. Never had a bad experience here. Give them a go if you’re in the mood for Chinese/Japanese.
Food was awesome. Just the way I like it. The description of Hunan Chicken includes celery and mushrooms. Mine had neither. They need to make sure they do what they advertise.
Red Flower
Something changed with the food over the last few months. Not as good. The vegetable lo mein was chopped up in small pieces and only mushy broccoli in it. No other vegetables was in it. Very disappointed. Don't know if new cook but never seen lo mein chopped up. Ended up throwing it out. Food is tasting and prepared different.
Food is always great!! Always super hot and fresh and you get big portions!
Panda Garden
Food was ok for the most part. Sushi was really not an option but that's alright. Had some tiny rolls that were pretty sad. Food was hot, and seemed to come out when spots got emptied. Atmosphere was kinda confusing for a Chinese buffet. Waiter didn't seem to happy. Deffinitly will be back. Curbs the itch for Chinese and its the only buffet around.
Great Chinese buffet! We have eaten here several times. It is always so good. Wonderful variety of items on the buffet bar and the quality is top notch.
New China Kitchen
Shrimp fried rice only have plain yellow rice and shrimp. Would love to have more flavor and vegetables. I think they modified the recipes for local taste palettes.
I don't know why there are any bad reviews. This place is delicious! We were extremely happy with what we got (to-go). We ordered: Pork with Mushrooms and Chicken with Chinese Vegetables as well as spring rolls. Everything was flavorful and very well seasoned. I can tell you 100% that they're a wonderful place to eat from. I was almost deterred from bad reviews but those reviews are lies. Anyways, they're great! *Fun fact: They give out a neat calendar/menu as a gift! ***Not sure if the will run out*** ****Thank you for the amazing food, New China! We get frequent deliveries to the Post Office so you will see my husband often!!
Hunan Chinese Restaurant
It was my first visit, and the food was delicious, as I had heard. The rice was fresh and fluffy. The vegetables were tender and cooked to perfection. The vegetable roll had the perfect crunch. Wonton soup and crunchy chips were spot on. Everyone was super nice, friendly, and professional. Great service, value, and I will be back.
How do you mess up orange chicken? A staple Chinese dish and you made 2 chicken cutlets that were soggy and didn't have hardly any sauce? Why wasn't it cut up and made like normal orange chicken? If I got that in restaurant, I would have sent it back. It's soggy and if I really wanted chicken and rice, I'd have saved $20 and made it myself... disappointed.
Shanghai Restaurant
Really good. The food was fresh and flavorful. Looks like a small family place and limited staff so service was a bit slow but well worth it. Very good food. The only issue was the area. I don’t know what’s happened to Bristol, but the people downtown are unfriendly.
If you’re looking for delicious authentic dining or takeout in Bristol, Virginia, look no further than Shanghai Restaurant! The spare ribs were tender and packed with flavor, while the lo mein was perfectly cooked. The sweet-and-sour dish was a perfect balance of tangy and sweet. Each bite was a treat! Highly recommend for an incredible meal! The owners were super greater and welcoming!
