Chinese Restaurant

Discovered this place when the weather was a bit chilly, and I was craving something spicy. Good amount of selection of veggies and proteins. They are having a $1 beer promo, which is a delight. The pork and black garlic broth extra spicy was tolerable, and I could do firey spicy (buldak spicy level). They also have free tea/hot water station.

Love this place. Super fresh ingredients and delicious broth. My favorite is the black garlic broth medium spicy. So flavorful. I come here with my wife and kids 2-3x per week:).

This place has been around for quite a while and it remains a reliable old standard for a Chinese Restaurant. It's mainly a lunch place for me as parking is much easier to find in that time period as it's in a residential neighborhood. Their lunch specials are reasonably priced and the portions are generous, complete with soup and tea. The food is very good and judging from the amount of business they do, with people populating the place for lunch, some waiting for the next available table or waiting for their "to-go" order, it's quite a busy operation. There's nothing special about the decor other than it's Chinese themed throughout, appears clean and well maintained. The location is convenient being catty corner from Lincoln Golf Course's Clubhouse, so it's easy to remember where it is.

We have been customers since 1995. The food is clean and fabulous. The family that run the business are totally dedicated to serving the community. They have never messed up a delivery order and the restaurant service is family like.

The marina location is small and cozy compared to the other locations but the food is fresh and served quickly. The server was attentive and checked in on us multiple times. We ordered quite a few dishes to try a bit of everything. I recommend the pork soup dumplings XLB and beef noodle soup. I love that the prices are cheap in comparison to other dumplings spots in the city.

My son and I loved this place that we tried for the first time when visiting San Francisco recently. We were kindly greeted and seated on the small sidewalk patio, as requested. The man who was serving us was very friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. The patio had a chill vibe. I ordered vegetarian dumplings, and my son had kimchi fried rice. Both were satisfying portions of super fresh and delicious food. I would love to eat there again right now.

We ordered takeout soup and there was zero broth. When we called the restaurant, we were told the noodles absorb it and usually people order a side of broth - not sure how we would know to do this? Food is good just make sure you pay for extra broth if you order the soup takeout (seems…counter intuitive). We also ordered chicken and vegetables and all we got was broccoli - no carrots mushrooms or anything else that the meals says. This place used to be great and we have been coming for years so disappointed to see this

Really good food! I ordered the Tofu and tomato and beef dish, it was amazing! I loved Oyster sauce used in the dish, as well as the VERY flavorful beef! It was so tasty and yummy. I also ordered a small Jasmine rice which they put next to my dish, the sauce and beef go really well with it! Apart from my dish, I also liked how many Gluten Free options this restaurant had (a whole GF menu!). They also provided freshly baked Fortune cookies at the end of my meal.

Wonderful location. Got take out lunch and the food isn’t too bad either. Basil eggplant with beef was all about eggplant. There was hardly any basil or beef. Asked for spicy and it was barely mild plus. Mix vegetable fried rice was average.

They know their broth! The wonton soup is perfect. The Shanghai Pork dumplings (broth inside) was some of the best i’ve ever had!!

The picture to the right is their chef special. The one on the left that is battered is not what we ordered. The chef special which is on their wall is not battered. It’s definitely different in color and everything but they refused to except a refund replacement.

The food is good, the same attention.But what does not fit is the price of the dish when you consume in the restaurant. I just had a soup and they charged me twice what the letter indicates. Both paying with cash and debit card.

This was my first time there at China city. I yelped it and it had quite a bit of stars and I thought I'd try it new to the area and love the best Chinese food that I can find and this was a plus plus bless, go there and enjoy. Their egg flour soup is the best

The cashier lady is not doing very good customer service today. My children and I dined in and ate at the restaurant before 5:30p.m tonight. We would know how much ordered that we can eat for 1 family dinner meal for 1 adult and 2 kids. But the cashier lady talked so mean that the order only for 2 persons. So, I had to order 1 extra " a wonton soup " bowl. Finally, we had to paid more than 2 orders and packed a lot of foods for bringing home. My main point is she is not doing good customer service when the customer only wants to order 1 thing for sharing with 2 kids. Besides, the fried shrimps and fried pork meal are not delicious. Only the wonton soup is good bowl. We really regret to eat there. I'm very sorry for sharing the true thing. BTW, I hope the restaurant can build up more on the customer service. Thank you. Goodbye. The owner was very friendly and open to my taking photos of his restaurant, including him in some of them. The food was great. Several walk-in customers while I was there. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal there.

Great service, food and prices. They are always friendly and when I call they know who I am no matter how long it has been since I ordered from them. Not only is the food good but you get a lot of food and it's reasonably priced.

We visited on a Monday. We didn't set out for this restaurant but in the future we will. The environment is very clean and the food amazingly fresh and delicious. All three of us kept commenting about how good everything we ordered tasted. The Garlic green beans were some of the best we've ever had as well as the spring rolls. Meats were tender and cooked perfectly. We ordered Garlic chicken and broccoli beef. Prices on the menu photos are current as of this review on August 22, 2024. I highly recommend this restaurant. Best Chinese food in East County! The new owners have really turned this place into a gem. I’ve eaten here twice and both times the food has been great (and I’m really picky) All of the freshness and flavors brought me back to good Chinese food you typically only experience in San Francisco. I highly recommend the soups (hot and sour/egg drop) as well as their combo fried rice, beef chow fun, and prawns with vegetables. Try their family dinner menu, it’s a fantastic way to experience the food and service, and very affordable!!

Their Lunch Menu is really Good. Honestly I didn’t really like any of their Orange Chicken or Any Battered Chicken. I find something was off about the sauces Maybe not sweet enough. Although I must say the food is Quality. They used chicken breast. As for the Noodles. It was delicious. The Calamari Lunch Combo is good as well. Very Good Portion. Not a fan of the fried rice. The texture was a bit hard. The Salt and Pepper Pork was Perfect. I would come back to try the seafood. But if you mike your traditional crispy orange chicken. This Place is not it. The only reason I didn’t give them a 5 star. The staffs are very friendly. Service is impeccable 👌

Was craving Chinese food and stumbled across this establishment, and I’m so glad I did. I called in to place an order for pickup and the service received was great. The food was still hot when we got home and it smelled amazing. It was flavorful and delicious, and the portion size are great. From now on, this will be our go to spot for Chinese food.

Tea was fragrant and served hot. Service was very welcoming. We ordered the seafood noodles, beef roll up, and spicy beef noodles. I appreciated the slightly chewy house-made noodles carrying the light seafood flavor in my bowl while still shining in the bowl of spicy beef. The spicy beef wasn't too spicy and also had an herbal flavor. Overall, the meal was better than most of the noodle houses I have visited. We will definitely keep this restaurant in our regular rotation.

Asian food. I had the Combo Chow Mein. The Combo Chow Mein was delicious with a little kick in spices. It was different than what I had expected for Chow Mein. It was good but not great. I had the Eel sushi roll and it was very good. I like the onion pancake which was deep fried and not pan fried as I am used to. However it was good. The noodles were good portions. They are short on staff which makes the wait time longer and needed reminding of my order. There was only one person working as a waiter and bus boy duty. Still good atmosphere as it is a historical building.

Good place for Chinese fast food togo. I ordered a Wor Won Ton Soup because today’s weather is a good day for soup. The food tasted great but eating soup from a tray makes it taste more like a meat over rice dish. Includes chicken, pork, beef, shrimp, and wonton balls. I would come back here next time I’m in town, but I’ll bring my own large bowl to mix the liquid broth with the meat tray so I can enjoy it as a regular bowl of soup.

Family owned, small business and great good. What else could you ask for?? The food of really high quality, they never miss the mark on ensuring that the food tastes the same each visit. I’ve been coming here for more almost 18 years. This is the spot!!!
