China Garden
It was good. Plenty of serving for me. The shrimp and the beef taste so good!
I ordered lomein. I found it a little salty, little to no vegetables what so ever.
Jiang's Chinese Restaurant
Easily parked up front upon arriving. The hostess provided great customer service and answered all our questions as it was our first time here. Our order was ready when promised too ! We decided to try this restaurant after seeing good review on Facebook. The food was packaged well and when we arrived home everything was still hot. I’ll start with the rice; it is absolutely a great value! I removed the peas and carrots and added bean sprouts ( I love them but not sure I would have added them if I’d known it be $2 more). For $14 the house fried rice is a steal because it was right over 3 servings. Taste wise it was good but I’ve had better at other places; when we ate it initially I felt it was missing a flavor. But when I reheated it the next day I actually liked it better. I also had the fried chicken wings (they’re wingettes); they were good but not what I’m used to from Chinese takeout restaurants and they had a bit of feathers still on them. The pork lo-mein was tasty to me but my boyfriend stated it had a different taste than what he’s used to. He also said he liked it better when he ate it the next day. The lo mein made 2+ servings. The pork dumplings were good and we also liked the egg rolls. When asked the hostess let us know th e egg rolls were shrimp & ground beef but they looked and tasted like pork egg rolls to us (which we prefer any way). Overall good food and I’d suggest it to others if looking for something in that area. I loved the service and would be open to trying them again for another meal but don’t think they’ll replace my go to Chinese takeout spot.
The food was disappointing. I ordered the wonton soup and I was overwhelmed by the salt/msg. The wontons in the soup were dismal. Thick dough enveloped a tiny piece of meat. The Kung Pao chicken was extremely oily. I was born and raised in Asia so this was very much poor quality Chinese food.
C. C. Wok
Came here with 20 family members for a birthday celebration. Everyone in the party thought the food was excellent. The server was very attentive and got whatever we needed immediately. I was surprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant but the atmosphere was perfect. We live in Short Pump but will certainly be getting delivery from here cause in our opinion this is definitely better than what's around where we live. Needless to say we highly recommend CCWok 👍
Quick stop after a long day....... review will be updated after 2nd visit. 40-minute drive to this location that was highly recommended. This was no disappointment. The food was fresh and delicious!! The staff called me when my order was ready for pick up (this was a first for me). The food is hot too. Shrimp fried rice, chicken & broccoli with fried rice. I ordered gravy, but they didn't offer the brown gravy, only the sauce from chicken and broccoli..... Personally, I didn't like this sauce, made my shrimp fried rice too salty. Order shrimp egg roll. They only have spring rolls, and they are thinner wraps. This was a take out and no photos..... Will visit again for sure!!
China Star
Very polite and cared about your order. The dumplings were delicious as well as the sauce. We enjoyed the chicken as well, not over cooked. Definitely will return more regularly now!
First time there! I’ve read good reviews and wanted to try. The food did not disappoint ! We had the sesame chicken, beef lomein and shrimp fried rice. All delicious and tasted very fresh. The only downside is I wish they had more seating!
China King Restaurant
Let me say that every establishment can have a bad day! I have preferred this restaurant over many others since I moved here approximately 5 years ago. This is my go to place! Even during the pandemic and my totals are always over $50 and that's before tax and delivery fees. OK with that said, I ordered food today and it was the worst! burnt noodles, I asked for little to no onions but got almost 1/2 carton full. Disappointed would be putting it mildly. The CUSTOMER The SERVICE was deplorable! The woman that answered my call actually called me a liar! I told her I had pictures, she told me that I had more than 4 shrimp and to her credit, after I dug through the pile of onions and burnt noodles I did find 6 more, but I let you be the judge, I took pictures. The employee told me to call the manager the next day and hung up the phone. I wasn't yelling, I just wanted reorder my food but make them aware. After my brief conversation with her (which included her talking to another employee about how long they have been in business) our call was disconnected. All I can say is this: The proof is in the pudding, look at my pictures and look at the website at a picture of the shrimp lo mien and you be the judge. A good relationship gone bad in one afternoon.
Just literally had the BEST takeout from here. This place is our go too. Our order was literally still very hot when I got home with it! My order consisted of Chicken & broccoli, with chicken fried rice. My fiancés was General tso chicken with shrimp fried rice. 10/10. Egg rolls were delicious, had a nice crunch to them. (My chicken & broccoli was loaded, But needless to say I may of had some bites in between) lol.
Chinatown Restaurant
Came in on a whim after looking for lunch options for me and my son. Read through the reviews, saw nothing negative so game them a try. Definitely cheapest buffet around. Others say small but I think it was just the right amount. Variety without worrying about how old anything is. Food was fresh and constantly being monitored. Service was fast and friendly. Zero complaints and will be back.
If You Place Online Order For Pickup , & Show Up To Pickup Said Online Order & Give Them Your Name On The Order , Be Prepared To Be Interrogated Whether Or Not This Is Your Order Or Not . Had To Show Confirmation From My Email To Get My 12$ General Tso. Foods Great
Golden China Restaurant
“The mango is very great and all their bubble teas are very strong but I like strong. And tell them you can order extra bubbles ” -a 7 year old This place was SURPRISINGLY delicious! The boba tea is great, they have a drive thru, and the indoor area is engaging for kids with cute decor, live fish, and quiet. If you wonder why the sign looks so old.. Martinsburg makes it hard for businesses to have signs. Odd? I know. Our local popcorn shop has been forced to keep up a seafood sign for a year
Literally the best Chinese food in the area. The food was hot fresh and crispy. I won't go anywhere else.
New Peking
Best I could give overall is a 3. On the positive side prices very reasonable, lunch portions nice size, the General Chicken was excellent one if the best I have had. Very good taste and heat. Service was also great. On the downside building has definate unpleasant animal odor, which almost made us turn around walking in. No buffet available on Saturday, Fried Rice was nothing special white rice tossed with soy sauce is all at least it was not yellow and loaded with MSG. Egg roll greasy and sodas were flat. Not opposed to trying again if location could overcome negatives. The general chicken was that good to give them another try.
Tasty, chicken was moist and flavorful and the rice was perfectly cooked. Prompt take out service and it’s in the little heart of Martinsburg. Character of a building like the people who work here. Don’t let the outside fool you because it’s very clean inside. The service of the gentleman who took my order was so sweet! What a little hidden gem!
Kai Xia Chinese Restaurant
The garlic chicken is a 10/10 I get it EVERY SINGLE time!! It does NOT disappoint!! Coming from the west coast I’ve struggled to find decent Chinese food that tastes similar to what I grew up with. The garlic chicken hits the spot every time for me! The chicken low mein is also a family favorite our kids.
Very rarely do we have any problems with food here and we been ordering since 2008. I miss when they had pineapples in the s&s chicken. You get enough food for two or so meals. It's cash only which I appreciate since other restaurants upcharge and fee you so much for card use. At one point they did have this though. Would love more ambiance but it is a country town restaurant post pandemic.
Go'Dragon Asian Grill
The food was terrible. I was so disappointed. I ordered 2 orders of shrimp fried rice with extra shrimp and 2 egg rolls so my total came close to $40. The shrimp was not seasoned and barely cooked. Little to no seasoning to the fried rice. The egg rolls were overcooked but the filling was good. I wish I had skipped the fried rice and ordered 4 egg rolls. I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation but I will never return. My husband and I did not eat most the shrimp fried rice( a first for us) Wasted my money. Hope my experience was " just a bad day for the restaurant"
Ordered #3 two meat &two sides got absolutely no vegetables bc she wanted me to order a $5 side then so much sauce was poured over the rice it was just sweet like the meat I ordered never again I tried here after not eating here for a while from bad food never again disgusting and very poor service I couldn’t eaten from Panda Express more food n good service and it would have been cheaper for three meats n 2 sides
Yummy Chinese Food
This a great place to order food. Honestly Since I moved from California, I have never had food as delicious as CA until I found this restaurant, it has great flavor and the amount of food you get for the price is incredible. you can share or just eat up to 2 times. This is my new favorite place to go and order ahead.
Hit OR Miss! That’s what it is with these NEW owner/operators. The prices increased…and the quality of food is decreasing over time. The previous owners were to be watched…now I’m getting that these ones are also! I generally order safe - chicken wings and fries - because the quality of the ‘Chinese’ dishes is just not there! Anyway…this is what I got today for my $13 lunch! Of course I took it back! It’s something I’m sure their DOG wouldn’t have eaten! Yet they served it to ME!
Li's Garden
I ordered crab Rangoon which came with a supposed house made duck sauce and not a sweet and sour sauce when I said I didn’t want it the manager had an attitude and was super rude.
General Tso's chicken. Over cooked(hard to chew). More breading than anything else. Egg roll small, very little filling and under cooked, innerwrap still raw. About one step up from McDonald's. Save some money, hit up subway down the street...
