Peking Restaurant
This is a hard one. I wanted to like this place, but the just doesn't come close to what a buffet like this should be. The food is bland, very vinegary, or very spicy. They don't have what I would call a normal selection. It's very small. Some of the food is kept warm by Sterno heaters. That's odd and raised a question of food safety. They could fix this. I think it could be a great restaurant but we won't be back.
The flare of the place is really interesting and the staff was nice enough. I only say nice because I was doing a take out. The food was your typical buffet of this type, but I will have to come back during a peak time to see what it’s like when fresh. I went inbetween lunch & dinner so the food looked and tasted like it had been sitting a little too long.
Golden China Chinese and Japanese Restaurant
This was a great spot for delicious foods! The chicken wings were a nice size, cooked to perfection, seasoned well and crispy. The Pork Lo Mein was delicious with tender tasty pork. The Chicken Egg Foo Young was delicious and cooked just right! The House Fried Shrimp was filled with Chicken, Beef, Shrimp and Pork was the best and the shrimp roll too! There is plenty of free parking, take-out and/or eat inside. Friendly service and your food is cooked just for you so it’s piping hot!! YES!! I do recommend them to my family, friends, friends of friends and, NOW, the World 🌎 too!! Check them out!! It’s delicious!!
I won’t be returning I paid 8.00 for a scoop of dry food. I had to add sauce
China Spring Restaurant
First time ordering from here. My dinner combo was great except my egg roll was cold & undercooked in center.
The rating on this place is not a fair reflection on the food, in my opinion. Many of the reviews are very outdated. We’ve tried it twice now and the food has been really good. Cashew chicken, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, sesame shrimp, Hunan chicken, beef with mushrooms… all good. Didn’t love the hot and sour soup but everything else totally hits the spot and is fresh. It’s strip mall Chinese food so the people looking for a fine dining experience are barking up the wrong tree. But the food is very good and we’ll keep eating here. It’s also very refreshing to eat Chinese food that doesn’t leave a film of oil on your mouth and on your lips.
Taste of China
I'm disappointed because I've been coming here for years but now it is under new management. I've been several times since the switch and things have changed. The food is hit or miss, it depends on what you order. My order has been wrong twice. I also ordered 4 shrimp egg rolls: three contained one shrimp each and the fourth had none. Considering the price was raised to over 2 dollars per roll, that's unacceptable. I don't recommend ordering egg rolls! I strongly recommend checking your bag before you leave. I feel the experience could be better for the money that you pay, especially if they become more aware of what they're doing in the kitchen .
We have always had great food and great service here. Ordered take out. When we went to pick it up it was not what we ordered. One part of our order was missing and they gave us and made us pay for an extra meal that we did not order. The lady was rude. Our food was awful. We will be looking for a new local Chinese place.
A Hibachi
So glad I didn’t judge the book by the cover. When driving through for a work trip, I needed somewhere to stop for lunch. Looked up hibachi places and thought about skipping this one, but give it a shot hoping the food was really good. I was not let down. Interior is as you’d expect. Service was frequently and fast. Did was plenty and plenty good. All in all, I’d say this is a goldilocks kind of spot - Just Right.
Sketchy place, food good, got a to go order and drive 45 mins home to see I got maybe 3 drops of sauce, when I asked and paid for extra, didn’t even get what I’d consider a standard amount :( steak is tender and good though
Kin's Wok Restaurant
So this spot reminded me of a place in my hometown that enjoy. I thought the sesame chicken and fried rice I got was pretty good. I got this Grubhub and I'm not sure how they pulled it off but food was delivered HOT. I mean steam still coming off when it got to us. I didn't like the egg rolls and I have had better. Wife got some veggie dish. She said she liked it and of course the photo was after she had eaten off of it. She stated it could use less onions and more of the other veggies.
Great service very friendly. Food is amazing and healthy with wholesome ingredients and great taste. I believe Ken wok is the best Chinese food restaurant in Virginia, also one of the best on the east coast if not the best. I haven’t eaten Chinese of this caliber for a long time since I moved from up north. Been in multiple states and lived in many different regions, Ken wok will beat out most other states on their own. Chicken wings, lo mein, fried rice are recommended.
China Wok
The egg rolls at this place are nice and fat and stuffed. With that said, i've eaten here three times now, and the food tastes bland to me. I have tried multiple items, including the food of other people that ordered from them with me, and the food needs to be seasoned more...
Review for China Wok – Petersburg, VA China Wok on Sycamore Street is a no-frills Chinese carryout spot offering standard dishes like chicken wings, fries, and traditional Chinese meals. The prices are reasonable, and the food is tasty enough to keep you coming back. The service is quick and straightforward: order, pay, and your food is ready in a few minutes. While the place isn’t the most visually appealing, and the plexiglass is taped up, you can see the kitchen, which is a plus. Parking is tight, fitting only 3-4 cars, so backing in or parking next door might be easier. If you’re looking for good food fast, this is a solid choice. I’d definitely recommend and return.
Top's China Restaurant
We don't live here anymore, but every time we visit we have to grab wings from this location. The owners are so friendly!!! The wings are the BEST in the area and the pork fried rice is delicious. Definitely recommend this spot.
Horrible ... my first time eating here and everything was nasty I ordered sesame chicken no seeds general tso two chicken pork rolls pork fried rice ..oh yea and chicken wings which they were great .. the general and sesame both were the same meats they're was nothing different about the sauce which was nasty it taste like they just threw the sauce they use for the crab rangoons all over the meats ...just nasty and the rice was mushy as hell like its been sitting for a while .. the fried wantons was beyond hard and chewy ..pork rolls wasn't even pork it was chicken rolls which they claim is pork rolls but how if the pork in my rice is red and the meat in the rolls is white ...I don't even want to call and complain I'll never have another experience here .. good luck
Panda Restaurant
Service was fine I didn’t have a problem with the woman. The food looked wonderful but the shrimp in the fried rice barely had flavor. I also ordered bourbon chicken. The flavor of the juice was sweet and salty, very good. The chicken however had big chunks that tasted like it was made a couple of days ago. The chicken was a bit sour and dry but not all the pieces mostly the bigger chuncks. They gave a generous amount of food but I truly feel like some of the chicken was old. I spent a little over 20$ for everything.
I ordered delivery from DoorDash with them tonight. I got the sweet tea with my food. The food is good, but the sweet tea very INTENSELY tasted like mold. And there were little particles of something (not tea) floating around the bottom of it. This is a food safety issue that I believe needs addressed IMMEDIATELY
Lucky Garden
I recently went here for the first time, I was looking forward to it because some of the reviews were so good. I ordered Hunan beef. I thought that I didn't see a Chinese person in the back cooking, but I could be incorrect. Well the food tasted kinda bland & it didn't seem to have the texture as at other places. The rice seemed old, as a matter of fact, they served a ball of clumped rice!! I will upload a photo. Disappointing, but might give them another try.
I’ve been eating here for years really like the bourbon chicken ! I got it Togo

I love China Taste better then the other restaurant I WAS going to. The food is always hot and ready and not dried out. The cashier, she is a sweet person. I know there are other choices on the menu but I love how my Mei Fun is prepared and like I said, always hot and ready. I highly recommend China Tatse.
Hong Kong
This is a take out place. It is not well lit. The food has wonderful color but has little to no flavor. We got teriyaki chicken sticks and well there was the color of teriyaki but no taste. My kids wouldn't even eat them. Same with everything else we got. No flavor.
🥡 I placed a take-out order consisting of A BBQ spare rib combo plate, a quart of Sweet and sour pork, a quart of Sweet and sour chicken, and 2 orders of Teriyaki chicken on skewers, I also requested 3 pairs of chopsticks. The total for the order was $42.06. The order was incorrect, they only gave us one order of Teriyaki skewers instead of the two I ordered, there were no chopsticks, and we only got 2 fortune cookies even though we ordered 3 entrées. The spareribs were tough, and had quite a bit of gristle, but the rest of the food was pretty good.
