PEI WEI Asian express
For 16 dollars, I think they managed to give a good portion of food along with the egg rolls and drink with refill. The service is well maintained, very polite and the place is clean, the workers constantly wiping down area. I wish they offer the whole menu as the Pei Wei Asian Kitchen. But, for mall quality food, they do great job. Thank u guys
Good food for the price. Clean place, and nice servers. Wish they serve soup tho like egg drop / wonton / hot sour soup for winter season.
P.F. Chang's
It’s been years since I’ve dined at P.F. Chang’s and my latest visit has me wanting more! For starters my bf and I ordered the BBQ Spare Ribs that were so good I forgot to get a picture lol. I would certainly order those again. My main was the Crispy Honey Chicken with Lo Mein noodles. I liked my meal but I would try something different next time. The Sesame Beef that my bf ordered was even better, especially paired with the Fried Rice side. I will be ordering the latter on my next visit here. We dined on a Sunday night, an hour or so before closing, so it was not busy at all. Our service was good but would’ve been great if our waitress hadn’t forgotten the bowl of soup I ordered but it was fine because I was so full after eating our app and entree and they did sincerely apologize so all is well. I do look forward to eating here again soon and since I am not from the area it makes for a special treat. I highly recommend this P.F. Chang’s location.
P.F. Chang's is always a good time. Our waitress was so chill and polite. It was a bustling Saturday and thank goodness we had reservations because it was crowded. But it makes sense because the food was great. We had the new Mongolian beef and it was so good, I got my usual noodles and the fried rice was great as usual. I was surprised at how much food was eaten, and will definitely be back soon.
Aggie's Grill Station
I've been a patron of AGGIES for years and introduced numerous friends and family to this place. The steak sub is the best!! The wings are amazing and please try the Blooming Tea!! The Hot Blooming Tea is the best tea you'll have anywhere!! So when I heard they need to drum up more business I absolutely took the time to give them an honest review. Give them a try! Nice atmosphere, kind staff and just a great place eat. A+!!
Atmosphere was nice and food was delicious. However, I didn't care for the strawberry cheesecake. The waiter (not sure if he's the owner) kept talking our ears off when we were trying to enjoy our food on our lunch break. He just kept talking and talking and talking. Also, I didn't realize this til after I paid but they charge you already for gratuity so don't give extra tip unless you want to. Needless to say I will not be dining there again but might order to go.
Orient Garden
While most restaurants reopened their dine in service long ago since covid isn't a pandemic anymore, I'm happy to say Orient Garden has finally reopened their dine in service rather than just having take out. The menu isn't as big as before, and the prices have gone up, which is understandable. They haven't added soup back to the menu yet, but they said they will soon. My spouse and I each got a spring roll, which was bigger than I remembered. Unfortunately, it wasn't as good as I recall it being. She got the shrimp and mixed vegetables, which she said was just okay, but it was a very big portion. I had the Szechuan chicken, which had tons of huge pieces of chicken, but was just okay too. We both had plenty of leftovers to bring home. It tasted much better as leftovers. Hopefully, this was just reopening jitters cos they always had the best Chinese around.
Great place for takeout! For me, the portions are above average for the area while still being the same price. While you may think this would lead to the food being below average, that is not the case! The food (especially the sesame chicken) is delicious and filling. I have tried several other similar restaurants in the area, but Orient Garden is going to be my go-to spot!
Neo-China Restaurant
horrible. the kung pao chicken was so watery and has no flavor. the orange chicken was not even fried in batter! it was just pieces of cooked chicken. the broccoli tasted like chemicals. and again, there was no sauce just this watery soup. And there was barely any chicken just mainly vegetables. even the rice was dry and hard. we ordered off uber so maybe it would have been different from the restaurant. But we couldn't even finish it it was so bad. Uber didn't give us a refund so that was a waste of my hard earned money. I am very disappointed and never ordering from here again.
it was ok, the kung pao chicken had more veggies than i thought, the orange chicken didn't have a lot of sauce and the rice was a bit hard for my liking but it gave a lot of food for a decent price.
China Buffet
A very good open buffet mostly sea food and there is also chicken and meat. It's just a regular one like those you find everywhere, authentic and very good, not outstanding or different, yet still a great value. I loved the grilled shrimp, and the desert. The sushi was also very good
I always love eating here because of their wide selection of food. We were seated after a short wait. The restaurant was quite busy and people were everywhere. That is the only reason I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere. They kept the food stocked fairly well, but that was the buffet. There was one person digging all of the shrimp out of one of the dishes which I thought wasn't very nice. I didn't bother to mention it to him because he was a paying customer just like I was. I just thought it a little selfish of him. I digress so let me continue with our dining experience. The staff picked up the soiled plates very timely and kept the beverages filled. The food I ate tasted fresh and had good flavor. I will definitely be back!
Yummy Orient
While traveling from Raleigh to Mount Olive, I visited Yummy Orient for lunch. This establishment surpassed my expectations. The restaurant was clean, offered a wide variety of food, and the quality was superior to that of typical buffets. Even the restrooms were clean. Most surprising was the exceptionally low price compared to other Chinese buffets in larger cities. During checkout, I inquired with an employee, possibly the owner or manager, about their pricing strategy. She explained that they have served this agricultural community since the early 1990s, recognizing the hardworking residents' limited income. Our goal is to provide an affordable and enjoyable all-you-can-eat dining experience. What a nice answer that sums everything up...I'll be back.
We found this place via google search. Good is clean, service is good. Price is less than $11 per person.
Chen's Kitchen
I've been eating at Chen's Kitchen over 10 years. This is the Only Chinese restaurant I will order from in Wayne County. It is not the fanciest, the biggest nor the closest to my home BUT it is the BEST! The food is amazing! The lo mein is never dry and has a good amount of vegetables. Great tasting chicken fried rice and egg rolls. If you have been searching for a Chinese restaurant with amazing food, your search is over!
We were nervous at first to order food from here for the first time because of the reviews but we did anyways and don’t regret one bit! The food was fresh and hot. Very tasty! The owner was friendly :D
Neuse River Chinese Restaurant
Egg Roll was excellent, the House lo mein was dry and tasted like salty chicken broth. I ordered a quart but received a lunch tray. I called and was told “Chinese food has to be eaten immediately, and because it was two hours later is why it was dry” (There was no sauce in the container bottom, and the noodles were Aldente). I had the same from the place by Food Lion last week, and it lasted 3 days and was great each day. This is apparently not traditional lo mein, or I had a bad experience?? A friend of mine had told me about this place.
The egg rolls were good. That's it. There was a horror movie on the TV in the dining area. The cashew chicken was tasteless, as was the lo mein and fried rice. The pork in the lo mein was okay though. We, literally, walked out after each taking 1 bite of each dish.
Ming Hing Restaurant of Hertford
Great place to grab a quick affordable bite to eat. Wonderful prices for the serving size you get and how delicious it is. Nothing fancy. Convenience is key. Bourbon chicken lunch special. $6
Best Chinese food ever. Always good. Very nice people and friendly
Rainbow Garden
Fast, hot, fresh and delicious! Ordered the sesame chicken w/pork fried rice lunch special, bbq spare ribs w/pork fried rice combination (comes with an egg roll) and an order of fried chicken wings (4 whole/connected wings) It came to $23 and could easily feed 3, maybe 4 people. I may be bias, because I eat here when I get Chinese (maybe twice a month) but I choose to come here (Vanceboro) as opposed to anywhere in New Bern. *2 wings pictured in photo, I broke them in half & pulled the tips off when fixing the plates
I was very impressed with the friendly and courteous staff, the food was ready in the specified time and perfectly prepared. Unfortunately I failed to photo the food, I got chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice and pepper steak, with egg rolls. Great meals 😋
China Bay Buffet
The food here was amazing especially the grill food and the chicken wings! Not like other places where the wings and egg rolls taste tough, these were perfectly crispy on the outside especially with their hot sauce 😋so good! The prices were pretty reasonable too. Honestly, even Food Lion’s premade meals cost more and here you get an all you can eat buffet, which is such a great deal. The service was impressively fast and the little server rushing around was so hardworking and adorable to watch. As a local, I’ve tried plenty of places and this one definitely stands out! It’s worth a visit!
The salad bar is always stocked with crisp veggies and delicious toppings. The hibachi grill is definitely a highlight! The chefs prepare your food right in front of you and everything is cooked to perfection with great flavors. This place has something for everyone. I’ll definitely be coming back!
