My cousin and I went to have lunch there 30 minutes after opening food was cold and very bland staff was rude. I felt like some things were a few days old. Had to ask for white sauce for the chicken cause it wasn't on the bar. The girl brought my cousin cold sauce like right out of fridge. We left very disappointed. Needless to say we only had 1 plate barely could finish it. We went to 2 stores to shop afterwards and we both started feeling sick. We both ended up getting sick. We will never go back there. Don't waste your money.

Got takeout. Food seemed like it was a few days old. My teriyaki on a stick was hard and dry. We went back and they replaced it with chicken wings…which we didn’t ask for. we ordered the Cho mein and it was literally vegetables in water. This is the worst food iv ever had

This is the best take out Chinese food in New Bern, NC. When you pass by you think, “I wonder if that’s any good?” Well I’m here to tell you, it’s fantastic!!! If you like Asian food , live in New Bern, and are searching for a good place…try Chinese Express!!!

Overall not bad. Crab Rangoon was the best I've had in a while. Egg drop soup was delicious but had way too many green onions. White rice was good. Fried rice was ok. Sweet and sour chicken was way over cooked and too crispy.

The sesame chicken was nice but paired with two broccoli was not enough to mix with the sauce. Smaller broccoli mixed in would have been better The rice was filling but tasted like too much MSG. The atmosphere, I would have liked to see more pictures of mountains of china or a shrine perhaps I will be back 😎

Was informed that my meal would be $26.00 for a “special” a customer decided to help me explain that I wanted the same meal that he had ordered. The lady in the from told me my meal would be $20 for a special. I checked my bank statement and this is what I was really charged. I would not come here. Stealing is not okay. The food was great but not worth being stolen from.

I have been disappointed many times before from plenty of places but when I say this is beyond a waste of my money that's what I mean the rice is very bland no flavor and salty just as well as the chicken is very salty it has no flavor it's just salty..she's not too friendly The prices are a little more expensive than other places where I've been I can't even give it no stars cuz I'm all the way around disappointed my dogs will eat the rest of this smh.. if you love Chinese food like I do then you'll understand what I mean this is not it..

My boyfriend and I just ate here for the first time! The food was sooooo good, the staff is so helpful and friendly, and at very affordable prices. I got vegetable lo mein and he got sweet and sour chicken and we were both very happy with our dinner! Will definitely be back.

I pass through Newton Grove a few times a month and decided to finally try this place out. I had general tso's chicken with fried rice and an egg roll. The food was excellent. Will most certainly return!

We love China Wok! Food is good, staff is friendly and it's always a treat to go.

The past three times that I’ve ordered from here it’s a hit or miss this time was a mess with the spareribs they’re overcooked and burnt and mostly fat the donuts were good though they were a little overcooked on the outside, but they were perfect on the inside. I had to add a little bit of my own sentiment and sugar because they didn’t have a lot of sugar on them.. so overall take out with this restaurant like I said it’s gonna be a hit or miss. Depends on what days who’s working I guess and cooking.

Large portions and great food. Call in orders are usually ready within 10 minutes. This is the best Chinese food I have ever found. They have very good COVID-19 procedures in place. It’s take out only right now during the Covid nightmare. There kitchen has an A+ Rating from the health department.

I recently had a fantastic dining experience at P.F. Chang's on March 14th, 2025, around 4-5 PM. I ordered the sesame chicken with fried rice, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was perfectly cooked – tender on the inside with a wonderfully crispy coating, and the sesame sauce was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The fried rice was also excellent, fluffy and flavorful. Beyond the great food, the service was truly wonderful. My server was attentive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed. What was particularly impressive was that she was also training a new server, and he did a great job as well! Both were polite, efficient, and created a very pleasant dining atmosphere. Overall, I had a very positive experience at P.F. Chang's. The food was top-notch, and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend the sesame chicken with fried rice and commend the staff for their excellent work. I will definitely be returning!

I had dinner on a weeknight and there was no wait. I ordered BBQ Pork Spare Ribs which arrived quickly after ordering and were delicious. Very quickly after ordering the ribs my main course arrived. The steak Lo Mein was very yummy and flavorful. The server was very nice and attentive. I would eat here again

10/10 experience, service, and food! The ambiance was casual and so comfortable for a date night. The food came out quickly and was delicious! We ordered the Beef Ramen, Fried Shrimp Ramen, and Spinach & Chicken Dumplings. They were all fresh & flavorful. The staff is also so friendly and helpful with explaining menu options. Highly recommend!

Actually i have been there many times. Food were more authentic when it opened from the very beginning. Now it is a little infusion. I understand. But still good enough. Ordered eggplant and fish. May go again. Nice service, ok atmosphere.

Wanted to try chinese food in the area and found this location on Google. Called our order in via phone for the honey chicken with shrimp rice and a large Four Seasons. Was disappointed with flavor and quality. The chicken tasted tough and dry. You can tell it was battered and fried, but lacked seasoning. It tasted like they just poured honey on top after frying. The rice lacked flavor as well and didn't taste fried - it tasted more like white steamed rice with soy sauce and wasn't mixed well. The Four Seasons looked good, but fell flat on quality. Tough chicken and veggies. There was also an odor in the restaurant that transferred onto the plastic and brown paper bags our order was packed in, which also transferred into our car. We tried it once, cannot recommend ;(

I was craving for Chinese fried rice. I ordered takeout the Large Yangzhou Fried Rice for $14.29 that’s supposed to have egg, pork, chicken shrimp. What I got was fried rice with scrapes of pork and eggs, and two pieces of shrimp, no chicken . I understand the grocery prices are high but so is the price for takeout.

We've lived in NC for 15+ yrs, we've tried numerous Chinese restaurants. Taste of China, BY FAR, has the best food!! My grandson and I order our favorite dishes at least twice a month, and each time the food is delicious! They've never let us down! Fantastic taste every time, and it's always fresh! We highly recommend Taste of China, you won't be disappointed!

I eat here regularly and it is consistently good. They give generous portions and the food is always of good quality. The food is pretty standard american Chinese takeout, but the consistency and quality are top notch. The menu is expansive enough that I can often try something new. My favorite dishes here, however, are the sesame tofu and the general tsos chicken. The beef in black bean sauce is also very good.

Pork fried rice was good, but the szechwan chicken tasted like it had been tossed with some kind of ketchup sauce. Flavors were way off. Bathroom was filthy and looked like it hadn't been attended to in days. Would not recommend nor revisit.

Food I ordered was delicious and staff was friendly. I ordered take out so not sure how it is to dine in. I thought the inside looked like it could use some updates, but don't let that steer you away. I got the chicken lo mein and fried dumplings and enjoying every bite. I was greeted with a smile and friendly hello right away when I walked through the door. The prices are great and it was ready in about 8-10 minutes.

I have previously left a review for here before, but I would love to leave another one. My family and I have gone to this same location since I was a little girl; I am now 30 year's old and it's still kicking out great food. I went in tonight and ordered 2 orders of the black pepper chicken combo and a large order of vegetable lo main to split with my brother and it was fantastic as always. Thank you for the great food!

Omgeee idk what happened to this place but I just paid $26 bucks for two orders of wings one with fried rice and the other with shrimp fried rice also two spring rolls. The rice was terrible w no color and specs of veggies (only in the shrimp fried rice) The chicken wings recipe has been altered because they definitely don’t taste like before and every other Chinese place. Most of them have the exact same crispy chicken wings but these were terrible! The other person went straight to the restroom after eating their food. I trashed the rice on mine after seeing them w an instant tummy ache. Don’t waste your money at this place! Not worth it anymore.
