P.F. Chang's
Update 04/20/2025 We had a party of 7 for Easter. Todd was our server. I don’t have enough adjectives to describe how amazing Todd made our experience. Everything we ordered was delicious and again Todd made the experience outstanding! Thank you Todd!! Update: We went for Father’s Day and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The exceptions were the egg rolls and spring rolls, neither were very good and very dry. We asked for sauce and unfortunately didn’t receive it. The eggplant was delicious as were all of our entrees. Our original server came back and provided excellent service. We’ve been eating at PF Changs around the country for years. It’s usually very good. Tonight not so much. The hot and sour soup was neither hot or sour. I ordered broccoli in brown sauce, it wasn’t hot and had little flavor. I brought it home so it could be seasoned and hot when I eat it. My husband ordered sweet and sour chicken he said the breading was mushy. When we told our server he said you should have let me know and I would have had another one made. Well we couldn’t tell him because we didn’t see him after he served our food. The kids meal was a good value, $5 for fried rice, fruit, broccoli and a drink. The baby seemed to enjoy the rice. My son said the Mongolian beef was good. Overall not the best service or experience.
Decided to have lunch someplace new, to us. There was plenty of seating due to the holiday. The service was quick, and he was very helpful. We definitely want to come back and try more from their menu.
Lucky Dynasty
My favorite Chinese in KC hands down! The lo mein, shrimp fried rice, spicy fried shrimp & crab Rangoon are all fire 🔥. Stay away from the eggrolls they are horrible. Wait times are long but it’s worth it.
I really fux with this place but if you didn't call in your order, be prepared to do some waiting. They also have one of the most horrible drive thru/parking lot set ups (physically) in the city. Otherwise, my food is always A1 and I love this place. That fried shrimp alone will have you happily waiting. 😬😬🔥🔥
Rakar Dumpling House
I’ve been anxious to try Rakar, and tonight I finally got to enjoy their delicious food! I used to travel to China often, and I think their food is very authentic. They even have some dishes that I have never found stateside! Everything was amazing, it all tasted fresh and reminded me of my friend’s mother’s homemade dumplings. The beef pan fried dumplings and the pork soup dumplings were my favorite. The cucumber salad was the perfect complement to the dumplings, and the fried mantou buns for dessert sealed the deal.
Looks like Rakar Dumpling house is celebrating their two years anniversary this weekend with 50% discount on any dumplings and also giving a complimentary pork soup dumplings per person. Talking about ambiance, this place is so well designed with a lot of plants, antiques, rock carvings etc., with a lot of natural light. Tables can easily hold anywhere from a group of 2 to max. 8-10 folks. We ordered a lot of food in the kiosk and all the food has been served one by one within 5-10 minutes. Everything was delicious & served hot with a lot of flavors :-) + Lamb dumplings 4.5/5 + Pork/Beef dumplings 4/5 + Pork soup dumplings 4.5/5 + Fried Steamed Buns 4/5 Service has been top notch today. One of the staffs welcomed us at the door when entering & explained the deal of the day and complimentary food items. That was actually nice and helpful!
China King
This is what Chinese restaurants used to be, before all the chains. Really good, authentic tasting, traditional food. Don't be turned off by.lack of people. Anyone who tries it will like it. Did I mention it's also a great value? Give them a try I want them to succeed.
Really good , filling meals in this little cafeteria-style restaurant. Food came quickly and was hot and tasty. They do a lot of take out! So the place was not busy inside and so wonderfully quiet! No tv. No music. I loved it.
Blue Koi
Great Cantonese style Chinese food with lots of veg options on the menu. I definitely recommend the Ants on a Tree noodle dish, and the Chinese Curry as main dishes. The Vegan Delights soup is also pretty good. The appetizers are really good too - Eggplant Pockets are great to share, the Tofu and Awesome Sauce is delicious, the Lettuce Wraps and Tempura are also great. The dumplings are also good, if not the most unique thing on the menu. They also have bubble teas, a couple flavors can be made without dairy. I very much miss their original 39th Street location, I think it was the better more central location with far more character and I'm sad that they chose to close it instead of the expansion location. The service is still good and reasonably friendly, although they have gotten a little more bureaucratic and a little less friendly about how they handle guests. They have always been slightly on the expensive side, but the quality has also always been very good. A favorite restaurant in the area.
We visited at lunch time during the week. The server was very kind and helpful with recommendations. We ordered the dragonwell pot of tea, basil chicken in lettuce wrap, chicken pan fried dumpings & Chinese style pot roast. The food was delicious with very large portions!
Princess Garden
Singapore noodles will revitalize your love for flavor. Black bean 🫘 chicken will give you the hug that never came from your favorite aunt. Beef flat noodles will make you wish you lived in Mongolia and fished for the elusive Taimen with a fly rod each day. Eggrolls are just flat bitchin’ delicious and crab 🦀 Rangoon are made with real crab, scallions and cream cheese…go figure. The owners are so friendly you feel like they actually want you to know the essence of happiness that only exists if you genuinely put passion into your work and care about your product and have standards that eclipse the mundane confines of most peer review. Five stars is a paltry way to acknowledge what they have done for food and families in their area!
The food is delicious! I drive about 3 hours just to eat here. Everything is made fresh including every sauce they serve except Soy Sauce. This restaurant has been open since at least 1982 , so the building is old but very clean and the waitress are attentive and eager to please. Authentic Chinese food that is absolutely delicious! Highly recommended this restaurant.
Happy Dragon Chinese Restaurant
I’m very picky about my oriental food & I only get Chinese takeout from CHINA FEAST on Linwood; BUT… HAPPY DRAGON IS MY NEW FAVORITE! The food is VERY HOT; FRESH & SEASONED! They follow instructions & have not failed to deliver once! The prices are definitely affordable & the portions are great! THIS PLACE IS THE BEST CHINESE IN KCMO HANDS DOWN! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We have gone to Happy Dragon for more than 10 years. We always get the happy family It’s a generous portion & provides us with 2 meals. Usually has a generous amount of shrimp crab & beef. The egg rolls are great. Recommend it highly
Rice House
Best crab rangoon and chicken fried rice in town! We’ve tried many other places, but this is the #1 spot.
First time going today after searching for months for a good Chinese restaurant. The food was amazing! We will definitely be going back!
China Wok
This place had excellent food and service. We got lunch specials, which seemed to be a good value.
This place is absolutely amazing!!! The service is amazing and food is freshly served. The workers are so sweet and are amazing workers!! This is my first ever time eating here and I definitely love it.
Wing Lee Chinese Restaurant
I placed an order online and my food arrived hot, fresh, organized, well packaged, and with the special instructions. The only thing is I wish they gave fortune cookies and chopsticks. The food is absolutely delicious, and I will definitely be ordering from here again and again. This will be my go to place for Chinese food and Sushi now!!!!!! Thank you very much for all of you hard work and dedication. It shows you love what you do in the quality of the the food. I appreciate it very much.
Love Chinese buffets and this one did not disappoint! Chose to eat here on a trip from Iowa by reading reviews and boy are they spot on. Delicious food and not overpriced. You can even get it to go!
China Feast
They could never make me hate you , one of the best places to get food , large portions , great service and quick delivery.
Do not recommend coming here. My food had no flavor, veggies were undercooked and rice was dry and crunchy. Worst of all, bug was in my food Felt awful a few hours later too, don't want to come back. A McDonald's is better then this
Linwood Chinese Express
Stopped in KC for break and was told to come here. Ordered the crab rangoons, the sweet and sour chicken, and ham fried rice. Very friendly, they were generous with the portions, and all the food was fantastic. Will definitely be swinging by next time I come to KC.
