China Garden Restaurant
Driving through and was in the mood for Chinese. Stopped here and it was some of the best Chinese my husband and I have ever had! I’m a big crab Rangoon person and they were delicious. I had the beef lo mien and my husband had the orange chicken/ rice. Both were spectacular and will remember this place if we are ever back in the area!
First time ordering from here and wasn’t very impressed. The general tsos didn’t look like anything we’ve ordered before at other places which I get every place has their own way of making it but usually it’s in the same ballpark this time it wasn’t even close. Everything was just really bland not a lot of flavor at all.
Great Peking
The owner is a super nice guy got lots of jokes. Don’t go in there. If you can’t handle no jokes he’s hilarious. Really amazing guy but the food the food is even better. The food is 100% 10 out of 10. The general TSo chicken is the best I’ve ever had. They make it there fresh with real ingredients. It’s not like that premade stuff all the other Chinese restaurant serve. That goes for all their food. And the rice the fried rice is the best fried rice I’ve had outside of St. Louis city. And even better than almost all the places I’ve had in St. Louis city. Fried rice is amazing too . All in all this place is 10 out of 10. You should try it. Sometimes it’s wait though.
Awesome food! We tried the food for the first time the other day and were impressed with the quality and great value you get. Portion sizes were huge. Service was fast and the owner was nice and personable. Highly recommend the Mongolian beef!
China Wok
One of the things I really miss since I moved to North Carolina is China Wok. I can’t find anywhere in NC that can even come close to touching the food and service. So anytime I come home for a visit, this is top of my list. The food is absolutely amazing and so delicious!! Ready fast and piping hot with so much flavor! The staff is so polite and helpful with any questions you may have. I sometimes go a year without it, and it does not ever disappoint when I return. Highly recommended you give them a try if you haven’t yet. Your hardest decision will be what to get because they have so much great stuff to chose from.
I have been coming here since the 90s. I stopped by today, New Owners. Whole order of chicken fried rice $10.00. However today they charge me more because I got my usual sauces, they said they don’t give but a couple. I only get what I will use. I told them they lost a customer today what a way to start off a new owners. I have never in all my years been charged for sauce, they might want to rethink that. I just hope the food quality does not go down as well. They were the best around for many years. Will miss the old owners, they always greeted me knowing my name.
King Doh Restaurant
Very friendly service and delicious fried rice. I got takeout but the dining room looked nice for an evening out.
The food tastes bad. Ordered orange chicken, crab rangoons, and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were overcooked and tasted burnt. The meat filling was dubious. The chicken was also overcooked and tough to chew. The amount given is less than you’d expect from a ‘full oder’ at a Chinese restaurant. The goopy sauce and vegetable mix was not appetizing. They would not let us substitute the white rice for fired rice. The goons were pretty good but those seem hard to screw up. Overall bad and not worth the $42 dollars. I could spend less somewhere else for more and better food.
Panda
I ordered the orange chicken, pork fried rice, and the appetizer combo. The combo was decent—nothing extraordinary—but the fried rice and orange chicken were excellent! It's been a while since I’ve had such a satisfying meal at a Chinese restaurant. I really hope the owner maintains the portion sizes. I’ve seen people mention price increases, but that’s understandable—every restaurant has to adjust prices over time
Have gone here multiple times every time it’s great! They are supper consistent with their quality of food! We have never been disappointed! We really love their crab rangoons!
Lemay Garden
I don’t know who they paid to give them good reviews recently but there is no way someone ate there that has any taste whatsoever and liked their food!! Currently a 4.2 rating?!?! Misleading… Very close to my house so I thought I’d give it a try. Mistake!!! If you are looking for good Chinese food, go somewhere else. The only thing I enjoyed was the fortune cookie. 1) Slow-There was one woman by herself 2) My Hot n Sour Soup was Hot Sour and a bit sweet….. which was weird 3) my General Tso had hunks of onion broccoli and very old dried out slices of carrot. I’ve never really had anything but broccoli and chili peppers in this dish at other places but ok. Then It had cinnamon or nutmeg in it… REALLY off in the flavor profile… the breading is weird and the meat was tough and chewy. Gross three bite attempts and over it. 4) Crab Rangoon had hardly any filling and the filling wasn’t great anyway. 5)Rice was greasy and flavorless 6) Beef and Broccoli in a burnt tasting sauce and horrible. The “beef” definitely was suspicious 🤨 7)Szechuan Dumplings weren’t too bad, but it was the sauce that made those doable. 8)portions were small for a typical combo plate (then again I’m comparing to other places) but since it all went into the garbage I guess it’s a less waste of food $35 dollars down the drain And then some because everything I did taste or eat came right back out with vengeance!
We've been going to Lemay Garden for more than 20 years with great food all the time. Our favorite place for fast and tasty Asian dishes. Even the finest restaurants have picky reviews and one visit is not a reason for very negative comments. Please keep that in mind.
A Taste of China
This was our first time here, but we will be repeat customers. I ordered online and it said 25 minutes after I place the order. We showed up at about 20 minutes and the food was ready. Very friendly staff and our order was perfect. We got shrimp fried rice, vegetable spring rolls, and the General tso chicken combo. The shrimp fried rice tasted great, although it'd be nice if there was a little more shrimp in it. The combo came with chicken fried rice (which I loved because I don't like pork fried rice) and two crab rangoon. Some combos come with an egg roll but I'm glad mine had the rangoon because they were delicious. Highly recommend giving this place a try 👍 [photos are mid-meal because I forgot]
Everything was delicious! Some of the best egg drop soup I've had. We ordered: egg drop soup, potstickers, crab Rangoon, pork fried rice, scallops and beef (I think was the name)
Lemay Wok
Always loved this place until tonight. Paid for soup that we didn’t get. Then paid for fried rice that we asked for without onion- that had onions in it. We were told we had to drive the fried rice back up to the restaurant before it closed in order to get a refund. We had already driven 20 minutes to get the food. My kids don’t eat it with onion in it which is why I ordered it without onion but wasn’t able to drive another 20 minutes plus there and back to get an exchange or refund after 8:00 (was supposed to be easy for pickup before 7). We already had waited over an hour to receive our order once we got there and didn’t find out about their mistake until we drove over 20 minutes home to find out. Very disappointing and unlike any service we’ve ever received before. Otherwise we wouldn’t be driving over 20 minutes for Chinese food there and back. What has happened? So disappointed. Wasn’t worth the gas money or the disrespect after all these years of being a loyal customer to be told to drive back all that way to correct THEIR mistake. Guess I’ll be looking for a replacement. So sad!
Amazing food! The Crab Rangoon actually had crab in them! General Tso and Cashew Chicken sauces were flavorful. Great chicken. Huge portions. Friendly service. We have found our new favorite Chinese takeout in St Louis.
Panda Chinese Restaurant
This is hands down the best Chinese food in St. Louis! And no one knows about it! Great food, quick service, and really an amazing value! You need to try them out and you’ll never go anywhere else!
The quality of the food here is great. It is not too salty and you can really taste the flavors and ingredients. Also, they offer plenty of sauces: duck sauce, soy, sweet and sour. Also mustard, crushed red pepper 🌶️, and chopsticks to go.
Sesame
The food was very good. I also thought the waiter was wonderful. He was an older gentlemen very gracious. However I do have to agree with another reviewer about cleanliness or lack thereof. The bathrooms are in fact disgusting and do smell like they have some sort of sewer issue or about to have one. A bit of cleaner and some elbow grease would go a long way. I will eat hear again but I get the feeling it may be a crap shoot. Excuse the pun.
LARGE portions! Excellent crispy hot chicken! The pieces are cut in such a way where they're easy to eat! Not huge pieces... Cut smaller for convenience! I got the orange chicken and it was great!!
China King
I forgot to take pictures before devouring my food. I ordered chicken wings and 2 chicken egg rolls. My husband ordered Mongolian beef with white rice, everything was delicious! The chicken wings were fresh, well seasoned and had the perfect crisp. They weren't that busy but had a few customers waiting. The lady who took my order was very friendly. I would definitely return.
Today’s fine-in General Tso was both beautiful and DELICIOUS. I had to wait a little bit but everything was so very fresh, the portions were generous, and I was pleasantly surprised that the breaded chicken breast was crispy under the heavy sauce. Focus is on friendly service and a treat of a meal.
Sunny China
The food here is always fresh and delicious. The Crab Rangoon is the best around. Portions are perfect for dinner and then lunch the next day. We order Sesame chicken, special fried, lo mein, spring rolls, and beef and broccoli frequently!
This little gem 💎 was a wonderful place to stop in for you favorite Chinese take out. The establishment is very clean. The lobby and restrooms were sparkling. Service is friendly, efficient, and customer focused. The food was really fresh and tasty. We got the appetizer sampler, cashew shrimp, and pepper steak. There was way more food than 2 people could eat for lunch. We chose to dine in and their presentation was lovely! It felt much more elevated than a typical strip mall take out shop. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who has a craving for plump rangoons and tasty fried rice.
