Panda Express
Omg the best food ever, every time it’s like the first, every bit it’s paradise, I enjoy this life when I’m in panda😌
The workers are very friendly. Everytime i go there's long lines and slow service. And this Panda Express is very skimpy on their food. It's as if the owner takes it out of their paycheck, if the employees give a good amount of food. It's alright I guess. When I dont want to drive out to the one on the other side of Channel Islands.
Imperial Chinese Restaurant
EXCELLENT Experience.. ℹPhoned-in my Carryout order. Guy on phone very professional, knowledgeable & polite. My food was ready within 2 minutes after i arrived. Lady Luisa was super nice & welcoming. She is genuinely personable & sweet. My combo Chow-Fun & War won-ton soup was hot & absolutely delicious & exceeded my expectations. Also the takeout packaging was sealed well, No Leaks or spills in bags. Also included chop sticks, spoon knife fork, napkins, several soy sauce, sweet n sour sauce. Everything was PERFECT. Portions were very good, & prices reasonable too. ℹ am really looking forward to another imperial chinese meal soon. Artēē
We ordered three lunches- a Kung Pao triple delight, a Kung Pao shrimp and a Ma Po Tofu. All came with wontons, a soup (egg drop or hot and sour), and plain white or fried rice. The service was excellent. The total price tag was within $35 with tax. An excellent deal. All three items were delicious.
Panda Express
Quick stop for lunch while visiting Navy Exchange in Port Hueneme Base. Customer service was good, large portion veggies- rice, small portion of actual chicken and mushrooms. Food was your typical Asian fast food, it was decent. If your in the area, give them a try. At home in SC I normally would not eat here. Just a preference for me
Got a plate with beijing beef and firecracker shrimp. Not a fan of the shrimp but the rest was good. Really wish they had the sweet fire chicken. There is plenty of seating and the portion size was good.
Chinaland
We had our 5th Annual Channel Islands High School All Inclusive Reunion there and all had a great time. 😁😁😁👍👍👍RAIDER NATION ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍
As a food critic and chef I try certain items first. I had hot and sour soup. Was not done correctly. They used no egg and a ton of pepper. I love spice, but not pepper where pepper has no reason to be in something. Next drinks were so small and so high in price I feel no matter how they try? Staff was friendly, but had no clue. Just so you know I have made the soup hundreds of times and bars are never that expensive.
Mandarin House Restaurant
We have enjoyed eating here for many years. No surprise it's been in business for decades. It's the best Chinese around for no less than a 60 mile radius. Best in Ventura county no doubt. If money is tight you may like to know they have a delicious lunch special with several of the most beloved Chinese food options to choose from.
Family friendly locally loved Mandarin cuisine. Great price - and even though it is perfectly fine to dine alone, I would recommend to come here with a group - so you can try different dishes. Friendly and fast service.
Chinese Dumpling House
The food was piping hot. The meals/ sides are definitely sharable. If interested in having soup, their small is actually what a large typically would be. The potstickers were absolutely delightful.
The Chinese Dumpling House was a hit for my family get together. It had been some time since we have seen each other. Everyone loved it. The parking is very easy. We were greeted with a big hello and how are you. The service at the Dumpling House is excellent. We had a group of over 20 people. The server who is also the owner with his wife was very friendly. Yes, he did all the serving himself. We went with the kung pao chicken, sesame chicken with a shrimp with wontons appetizer and hot and sour soap. I asked for extra spicey and wow did I get it. I loved it. The sesame chicken was crispy outside and tender on the inside. The hot and sour soup was full of ingredients and very tasty. The shrimp appetizers were incredible. The wontons were crispy and full of flavor. We had excellent food that made our get together extra nice. The dessert was a combination of cake, M&M’s, whipped cream and cookies. They were delicious and a perfect ending to our plentiful meal. The Chinese Dumpling House is incredible.
Happy Panda Chinese Food
Food was really good and it was a lot for the price usually am not full when I eat other food but here I was and I didn’t finish the whole plate had to save it for later. Price is also low and place is clean 10 out of 10
This place is pretty good. They have large portions and fair pricing. I didn't get super dehydrated after eating, like I do with most other Chinese food. The dim sum was okay, not the best, not the worst. The restaurant was clean and the employee was nice and helpful. I'd say, if you're looking for a middle of the road Chinese food restaurant with large portions and dont want to spend a whole lot, this place is it.
Spring Garden Chinese Restaurant
Small family restaurant with authentic Chinese food. Cindy, the restaurant owner was extremely hospitable and friendly. Enjoyed the stir fried noodles with the dishes that came with it, beef was tender and food were served piping hot. Truely a remarkable experience of authentic chinese cuisine. Highly recommend: stir fried noodles, orange chicken, walnut shrimp, egg soup and stir fried eggplant, beef and broccoli.
Service was awful and disrespectful. With a good service, spending money on food becomes easier. The egg nodule soup was ok but the Low Main was terrible. The owner must train the waitresses how to receive the guests with respect and how to serve food to provide pleasant dining experience for their customers. This restaurant is on my black list, meaning that I will never dine there again. I usually tip 20% but in this case I tipped 5% because of the unpleasant experience.
Peking Restaurant
Realistically, the only decent Chinese restaurant, locally. Many flavorful options to choose. Lunch menu is an inexpensive option, however, smaller portions and no appetizer included for $14. The lunch specials do provide soup and salad. My preference is to try the Peking or Chef Dinners for $3 more that will offer you a full course meal with optional choices at an affordable price, per person. Tastefully decorated dining area with a modern, casual setting. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Friendly staff.
We ate here for the first time on Saturday afternoon. My bf and I both had the lunch specials of orange chicken and Szechuan Chicken. It was fantastic. It came with soup, salad, entree and rice. We will definitely be coming back. Everything was fresh and looked wonderful. It simply was delicious. Our server was great too. After we paid we were visited by, (we think) the owner and she asked us how we liked everything, we raved and let her know it was our first visit and that we would be back.
China Kitchen
I got the veggie tofu chow mein 👌👌👌 my hot date said “my nana used to bring me here” 🥲
Authentic food, user-friendly menu, real people that know their guests and treat them well. I tried to save a portion of my Kung Pao Chicken for later but it was just too damn tasty. Perhaps overlooked after the mall anchor BB&B closed its operation, China Kitchen is on point. The egg drop soup, wontons, mini shrimp and egg roll can all be had in the dinner package for the cost of a couple of Starbucks’ Ventis. Check them out!
Lee's Chinese Food
The Chinese food you had growing up, is still here. This is a rare treat for Chinese food enthusiasts of what some may call 'standard fare' is now the uncommon bordering on rare variation of family owned Chinese food done the right way. Delicious. Food aside, service was atrocious, and the atmosphere hasn't changed since the early 90s, so, pretty much a "classic" experience. But the food is worth it.
Ordered via Uber Eats, we got the honey walnut shrimp and Sichuan fish, both were good The lunch menu seems like a great value, today we got the sweet and sour chicken with fried rice plus an order of 6pc wings. The former was tasty but wings were salty for me.
Gourmet Oriental
Very tasty Chinese food. We got the lunch special. Friendly staff and fresh ingredients I came to sit down and rest from walking around town.
Gourmet Oriental is my new favorite Chinese spot in Ventura. Tucked away off the grid in a small corner on Main Street, it’s the kind of place you almost miss if you’re not looking — shhh, it’s a secret local spot! If you're craving authentic Chinese food, this is where you want to be. Their wonton and hot & sour soups are both amazing! I’m hooked on the chicken chow mein soft noodle, Kung Pao chicken, and tangerine chicken. You really can’t go wrong with anything here. The broccoli beef, mu shu pork, Szechuan boiled fish or beef, and Mongolian beef are also fantastic. And if shrimp’s your thing, try the har gow or any of the shrimp dishes, all winners. Everything’s made fresh to order, so I recommend calling ahead. The staff is always friendly, and their prices are the best you’ll find anywhere in Ventura. Great lunch and dinner specials too! Gourmet Oriental is a total hidden gem and now my go-to for Chinese!
