Wok's On Express
I’ve been coming to Woks On for years and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the staff are always so happy and welcoming. 5 flavor chicken is my go to, must try!
The servings are large, and the food is delicious! I’ve been to Wok’s dozens of times, and I’ve never been disappointed. It is one of my favorite places to go for Chinese food.
Ding’s Kitchen
My family ate there yesterday after my munchkin's cross country race at Baylands park. So delish!!! We ordered the beef pies, chili oil beef, chive noodles and pork and egg porridge.. oh and dumplings. YUUUUMMM!!! (Sorry, no pic of porridge. We were hungry and that was the first item to come out! We were Ravenous!!)
First 1-star review :D The braised pork was terrible. Unless you're into fat and that type of stuff. Idk maybe some other things will be better but the braised pork sucks.
Shanghai Flavor Shop
horrible service, terrible food. $12.95 for a bowl of white rice... 生煎包 is flavorless... I won't be here again. I speak Shanghainese and Cantonese. So no cultural/language excuses. the waitress/owner only cares to say hi to a few frequent customers while her face appeared mad when I told her my 3 year old needs a high chair.
Most authentic Shanghai daily breakfast experience I have ever got in the Bay Area.
Taste Good Beijing Cuisine- Cupertino
I recently needed to celebrate birthday and miss Peking duck so I decided to come here. I felt imperial treasure is way overpriced and Beijing Duck House is closed on Tuesday so I came here. But honestly I'm pleasantly surprised at how delicious some of the food has become. Maybe they improved their cooking but I decided to give them 4 stars instead of the typical 3 I would have given for food before. The missing one star has a lot to do with how long it took for us to get our food. Maybe it's because they were busy but we wait over an hour for our food including the duck that we pre-ordered. Otherwise I think their duck is really good deal because they gives you a lot of sauce and the wraps so you don't necessarily have to order extra wraps like other places do. The other dishes are not bad either especially the boiling fish because it's really delicious. Even the cauliflower was well made. I think this place definitely deserves coming back more often because the quility of cooking went up. The service can be slow because they are so busy and I like the availability of those semi private spaces.
Called the night before to reserve a Peking duck. It was very well made. After the meat is sliced off you can ask them to make the leftover meat and bones into a seasoned dish or soup. I think the seasoned dish is good but ok to skip. I would like to try the soup next time.
Local Cafe
The waitress are nice. The beef gravy noodle and hk milk tea are good. The wonton is only ok. Kind of dry and dense. They have a promo now each $10 spent will have a token for the crawl machine. But it’s hard to get anything.
Ordered uber eats and literally got a half order of food for the fried rice order. Also ordered the pork porridge and it was lacking flavor which likely means the porridge was cooked not with a broth as the base.
Panda Express
The food was amazing, the food is always amazing, friendly people friendly staff, this place is just drowning in absolute magnificent quality and top notch food. Some people and customers are impatient, they don’t understand that good quality food takes time. Their head and brain is burnt out of logic, and that’s okay. To understand how magnificent is made, you need to have created magnificence also, and if you did, you’d know it takes hard work, attention to detail and absolute dedication. Everyone wants fast, go to Taco Bell or MacDonalds, but if you want something special and high quality, come here. Give these guys a RAISE😛… they deserve it 🥰
Great service and food.very clean. Service is still great. Hefty servings! Great taste.
Jin Jin Gourmet
I'm trying to reduce starches for lunch and this place was perfect. I had the two item lunch, no noodles or rice. It came with a cup of soup. All for less than $15. Best part is it is delicious. The curry reminds me of a pumpkin curry. The soup might have been egg flower. I'm not sure. It wasn't salty and I would like another
We loved this place, very authentic Chinese food. It was our first time here. Staff as friendly and accommodating. We ordered for take out, got the cucumber garlic, eggplant, beef with onion, bean curd with pork, and chicken corn soup, also a side a white rice. Everything was freshly made and delicious. We will absolutely order from here again.
Ming Tasty
The porridge was good, but the noodles in the wonton noodles soup was soggy (over cooked). The string bean pork neck was a little salty. The garlic minced lettuce was good. We went there around 8:30pm for a late dinner, there was only one waiter serving half the restaurant, so service was slightly slow. She was working non stopped
There's dimsum dishes available even during dinner time! Everything was very yummy, if a bit pricy. The complimentary tea was actually pretty good, too. Not too weak (went for dinner) and also brewed nicely (no bitterness from overbrewed tea). I just have no idea what kind of tea it is other than it being some kind of black tea 😅
Panda Express
First time visiting this Panda Express location. It has the typical Panda Express food. However, I won't return here as they filled the plate with noodle and rice while the serving portion of the main items (much) smaller than other locations. It was about 1/2 to 2/3 full of their measuring scoop where some other locations would be 2x of that overflowing the scoop. Either the apparent increase in price from inflation and other factors was insufficient, or the mode of operation is not conducive to the cultural characteristics of Chinese food - good food, ample portion, and value!
Super nice & friendly staff members. I like that this Panda Express actually has bamboo & the feel of more “panda vibes.” Quick service even when there have been long lines. Great go-spot and they’re always making the next batch in time so you’re not waiting for 5-8m for your plate to be ready.
TLT & Grill Soup
Food: 5/5 Service: 2/5 The bbq grill there is awesome. You can basically order any types of skewers and you won't go wrong with your choices. It's a little bit pricey, for example, $2.5 for a small beef skewer. The warning is that 1) the restaurant is small so it filled up pretty quickly. 2) the skewers come out super slow. Beef and lamb skewers are quick but we waited 1 hr+ since we placed the order for the quail, tofu skin, etc. Even the appetizer took 45 min to be ready (!?). The fried pork tender (锅包肉) never came since we have to leave after spending 90 minutes at the restaurant, by that time, the fried pork tender was still not ready. I was shocked at how bad they managed the order preparation process as the wait time for the food is insane. It's definitely a waste of the chef's talent and ingredients if they can't find a way to improve the management.
Good prices, good food. I personally recommend the lamb, beef (!!!), chicken skin, bacon wrapped mushrooms, intestines, and chicken gizzard if you aren't afraid of that. For their dishes, I love the sweet fried pork. It's so good when fresh, hot, and crispy. The service can get quite slow because they have so many takeout orders but I just love the beef skewers and sweet fried pork here.
Chef Yang's BBQ
No idea what makes their BBQ so good, but it's amazing enough to make you crave it regularly, especially when watching Cdramas that show people eating grilled skewers!! I wish they sold their seasoning blend. Everything there is delicious. Everything.
The Good: We ordered beef, chicken, tofu skins, chicken skin (not crispy as expected), corn on cob, mushrooms, croak (fish), lamb and steamed buns skewers. Prices are reasonable ($1.99 up per skewer). Ordering is a breeze (just scan the barcode at your table). Foods/meats are smoky, flavourful and delicious. Service is fast and prompt (they brought our orders within 5mins of each other). The NotSoGood: There are only a handful of tables in the restaurant, so go early (preferably before 12 Noon). They marinaded all the skewers with the same spices, so after a while, they all tasted the same. I would prefer some of the dishes to be with just salt and peppers. Take away: Think of this as the Chinese's version of Spanish tapas. There are also larger dishes to order, but we stayed with the skewers and were filled. Our bill came to $70 for 3 people (tips and tax included).
Joy Square
Friendly service. Interesting food and decor. The fish looked great and tasted good but not as good as it looked. It was spicy but not excessively so. The cucumber with egg and wood ear mushrooms and the lotus root with wood ear mushrooms were both great. I look forward to trying their hotpot next time.
The food here was extremely tasty. A little salty but very delicious. My wife loved the dish (ma la xiang guo?) where she got to pick the ingredients of her own stir fry and it was priced by weight. Reminds us of restaurants in China.
