Taste China & Hawaiian BBQ 0

Taste China & Hawaiian BBQ

Ever since the new owner took over six months ago, this place has become much cleaner and more spacious. The portions are very generous, and the food tastes amazing! They've kept the classic Hawaiian BBQ while adding American Chinese dishes and truly authentic Chinese cuisine. I've been here three times this week, and I'm absolutely in love. Nice and friendly service! Highly recommend everyone to try it out!

I recently visited China Taste & Hawaiian BBQ, which has new owners since May 2024. I didn't know about the change when I called in my order. The House Chow Mein was awesome! I didn't add it to my order until I arrived to pick up my Hawaiian food, but I'm glad I did. The noodles were spot on, with a great mix of veggies ,meat & shrimp. Perfectly seasoned and definitely something I'd get again. The chicken was grilled nicely but lacked flavor and it was chopped up instead 1 entire thigh and the short ribs, while tender, didn't have that savory-sweet taste I like. I wouldn't order these again. The staff was friendly, but the person who helped me didn't understand English well, which made ordering a bit tricky. Overall, I'd stick to the Chinese food here. The house chow mein was delicious, but I wouldn't recommend the BBQ chicken, short ribs, or any other Hawaiian dishes. Plus, I didn't see any Hawaiian dishes on the menu, which was confusing when I was there to pickup my order.

My favorite Chinese restaurant, period. My wife and I discovered it about two years ago, and even though we live ~60 miles away, we drive at least once a month to enjoy the delicious and affordable food we get here. Whether we go there directly or drive close by, we really enjoy their food. We love it! And their staff is amazing! Always a smile on their faces, always kind, and always attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to enjoy really good food at any time of day.

DATE: 9/22/24. I got FOOD POISONING here. We let the place know and at least expected a refund back after getting guests (7) people sick. This was the only food we ate that evening/night and began to feel sick after. Owners response was from their lawyer and stated that we would need to prove our food poisoning. How are we supposed to prove it? If they are willing to pay our medical bill we would definitely go. They are more than welcome to come in my home and view how much VOMIT and DIARRHEA we have ALL had. This is unacceptable. Horrible service.

Came in on a Sunday night and it was pretty empty. The food was decent; the walnut prawns and the fried rice were good, while the stir fried veggies were on the garlicky side (wasn't mentioned on the menu and the kids didn't like it). The chicken was dry (overcooked?) so that was the only dish that was no good. Price wise for the 4 dishes it was almost $90 pretip. The verdict is I think there are better options in the area.

I recently visited Asiana Restaurant, and honestly, it was a bit of a letdown. Maybe it was just the night I went, since there was a birthday party happening, but it was ridiculously loud with karaoke blasting the entire time—made it almost impossible to have a conversation. On top of that, the cleanliness was definitely lacking. The plates, bowls, glasses, and even the rice containers were sticky, and it was clear they weren’t washed properly. The tables weren't wiped down either, which made the whole experience feel pretty off-putting. As for the food, it was pretty disappointing. Everything was way too salty, and the timing was just all wrong. We had to wait around 30 minutes for the next wave of dishes to come out, and by the time they arrived, we were already full. The chairs were uncomfortable, and to top it all off, the bathroom was in awful condition. Overall, it didn’t live up to expectations, and I wouldn’t rush back.

I believe this is the new location for Home Eat in the Great Mall’s food court! Just like their other locations, you can order your box lunch or dinner, which you can also order from the menu for your order to be cooked on the spot for you! The service is quick and easy, you can pay with cash or credit card. Just follow the instructions on the kiosk. We ordered three dish but forgot to order some white rice. So when I try to make my second order just for rice, the lady just said she would give me two orders for free! What a nice surprise and service! All three dishes are on the salty side of my liking, I will ask for less salt when I order the next time!

This store is like a Chinese authentic super version of panda. They have meal boxes but you can also order the Chinese way: shared plates. The price for shared plates are 30% lower than any Chinese restaurant out there, and the amount is astonishing. We spent $75 and get the food enough for 4 people to eat two meals. Highly recommend!

Good if you want an easy quick inexpensive chinese take-out style food. It's not a luxury place, but nothing is really wrong or bad with Chowking. The price is good, and the food is easy to eat. I stop here a few times if I have something to do around here.

Love the service! Mila and one of the girls are so welcoming. Great great food and good quality

Ordered some chicken shrimp fried rice rice tasted like they made the rice 30min- 1hr ago than slapped some chicken on top from a different sauce pan on top of the rice and than for the shrimp as well from a different sauce pan and thrown on top. I expected it all to be cooked together like when I go to a Thai restaurant. Easily this is the most expensive dog food I have given my dog in a while first and last visit. Ironically enough it is a popular location so I must assume that their soups are what are good cause it feels like a sub par and over priced Panda Express. Unfortunate that my first experience was so bad I can’t give them a second chance.

Really bad experience with the service!!!!! The soup was very Blane and tasteless the meatballl was very chewy tasted like plastic, the shrimp wasn’t even cooked all the way. The mango smoothie was tasteless and it just tasted like ice. The egg rolls tasted like it was made was yesterday. Was not even in there for 10mins left the food there and the smoothie’s as shown in the pictures. I’m never coming back here “DO NOT RECOMMEND IT I REAPT “ “DO NOT RECOMMEND”

This Panda Express always disappoint me with my food every single time me and my family go there. Idk what it is but whenever we get food it’s more veggies than the meat and yes I know veggies are good for you but need meat too!!! Don’t know when I posted this but just went to panda again ordered my favorite food black pepper steak well not happy. The food I got looks like I got less, the other Panda Express I go to I have no problem but this specific location there’s always something.

I drive from San Jose to this particular location because all the 3 Panda Express around my area have been extremely disappointing. That’s how much better this one is. Hopefully they will continue to keep the same integrity and consistency of making Panda taste good.

The service here was quick and friendly and the portions were great for family style. We ordered the green beans, wings, beef chow fun, sizzling rice soup. The beef chow fun and green beans could have been a bit more seasoned, but they were still delicious. Overall great experience!

After seeing the good reviews, I decided to grab some takeout from this place. I got the green beans, but I messed up and ordered them fried somehow. I also got the hot and sour soup + egg roll + fried rice add-on, and the fried chicken wings. The green beans were very well prepared and tasted okay, but they just weren't what I had in mind. I'm gonna go back and get them without the breading next time. They were VERY plentiful, though. The egg roll was much better than your typical one. The soup tasted like most other hot and sour soups, so it also wasn't my favorite. I'll try the won ton next time. The fried rice was much better than average. Finally, the chicken wings were some of the best I have had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, tasty, crunchy. I'd go there just for those any day. Finally, the venue was clean and the gentleman at the counter was very nice. I will be back.

Fantastic Experience at 阿水姊果茶 & Spicy Potato Noodles! Came here alone today and tried their fruit tea and spicy potato noodles—both were amazing! 🥤 Fruit Tea: • The balance between fruit and tea is perfect—refreshing and not too sweet. • The sweetness level is just right, making it easy to drink. • Fresh fruit slices add a natural flavor and make it visually appealing. 🍜 Spicy Potato Noodles: • The noodles are chewy and bouncy, cooked to perfection. • The broth is rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spiciness. • Generous portion of ingredients—tender beef, fresh vegetables, and a satisfying portion size. ⏳ Overall Experience: • Reasonable waiting time, and the taste is definitely worth it. • Good value for money. • Totally satisfied with my meal—highly recommended for fruit tea and noodle lovers! 📍 Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) I’ll definitely come back for more!

Everything was insanely good! Easily one of my top 5 spots in the Bay Area. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and super satisfying. Highly recommend!

I got the green pepper chicken gizard and the dried red pepper fried chicken...real hot, real good... Fast and good service. Will go back soon.

It's a very busy place on a Saturday night, so expect some waiting time. It's authentic and flavorful Xiang Chinese Hunan cuisine, not the typical oily American Chinese food. I would highly recommend this place. It's not too spicy and even my kids could eat all the different dishes that I ordered. So those who complained about the spiciness level definitely had zero tolerance towards spice. The food is very well flavored and appetizing. This place is for true foodies who are willing to try a cuisine which is different from their usual Chinese American food.

This place is Mid. Service is disappointing. I Asked for water and saw the lady pour us up tap water. I didn’t even drink it. The Fried rice wasn’t even fried. where’s the Fried part? Portions are small. The dishes are dirty! And there was a hair on my orange chicken. .. was looking for authentic Chinese food and this is probably the worst orange chicken I’ve had. Just go to panda.

Exceptional food. Humble service. Best price. Food taste and quality are best. Lots of menu choices. We liked the food very much.

A friend recommended this place a while back and we decided to try it out. The food does not disappoint. The spicy lamp skewers are spicy, but flavorful. The pancakes with green onion beef are good. The pancakes are crispy. The Dan Dan Noodles and braised beef noodles are good too. Very satisfying meal overall. 😊

I came here because my friend had put some money down in account here for a discount, which you can use towards food but not tip or gift cards, obviously. We didn’t order try any of the beef noodle soups they were known for because there were much more interesting things to order. They have a large selection of snacks, like XLB, dumplings, beef pancake and the like. We tried the pan-fried buns and they were alright. Crispy but there was not enough soup inside and the meat filling was so-so. We also got cumin lamb skewers as an appetizer. One order has two skewers, very filling and with lots of chili powder. We ordered one soup to share and it was the perfect light starter. The portion was very good too. There is enough for about 8 bowls of soup. Recommended dishes: -spicy tofu and preserved egg: I cannot gush enough about this dish. This isn’t your standard thousand year old egg dish with some pork sung on top. It is well-seasoned, spicy 🌶️ to cut into some of that flavor that turns some people off. There are two types of preserved egg. Easily our favorite of the night, hands down. -crispy fish with tomato sauce. It was delicious and the price was the cheapest I have seen recently. -dry chicken noodles in brown gravy sauce. This is a large dish and there are scissors to cut the ever so long pulled noodles.
