Miss Shang 小香融合料理
We were able to order ahead via the phone while waiting for a table. That was a plus A bit overpriced for the portion size Two of us ordered 5 dishes, but it wasn't filling at all. We like what we ordered, and though The beef brisket stew could be softer Lettuce with garlic sauce was very tasty Loved the tofu dish. It had a light and fluffy texture The carrot and wood ear salad was great Thai-style chicken was ok
Miss Shang 小香融合料理 has some of the most delicious northern Chinese fusion dishes! We really enjoyed the hotpot with homemade pork meatballs. The New Zealand lamb was also cooked perfectly. Each dish was unique in flavor and I loved the variety! I also loved the chicken feet with the cilantro and Sichuan sauce.
Yin Ji Chang Fen - Milpitas
This place is very good overall. They specialize in Steamed Vermicelli Roll Cantonese style. But their menu is quite extensive. I think their congee is better than most Chinese places I have been to because it came out burning hot which I like. The place was busy so we were placed on waiting list for about 20 minutes. You scan the QR code on your table to place your order. I have 3 stars for the atmosphere because the place is small and not a fancy place. You would come here for Southern Chinese food and not the ambience. Price is reasonable.
This place is a cantonese classic restaurant that has some good rice noodle dishes. It also has some solid porridge and chinese doughnut For two grown men we got 2 rice noodle dishes, one chinese doughnut, one porridge, one drink, and it came up to around $40 after tax and tip not too bad. Overall restaurant is ur typical tight cantonese restaurant. They take card and parking lot has small spots but still plenty
Yuan Bistro
The restaurant changed chinese name, the quality drops a lot. I thought they are using prepared dish. The meat is over cooked, but the burn is not steam enough.
Stopped by for lunch. Had Szechuan eggplants and pork stir fry. Both dishes are flavorful.
P.F. Chang's
Oh how far has PF Changs fallen to disgrace with deterioration since private equity took over. This one at a premier location in Stanford Shopping Center is utter rubbish and perhaps a new invention as to how bad you can make Americanized Chinese food. Even a chain can't go this low. There was a time, perhaps a decade ago, where PF Changs stood for decent upper class fusion Chinese. Their dry spare ribs with spice sprinkles were pretty amazing. Well not anymore. The meat was soft but wasn't tasteful or marinated enough. And they took away the spices. The lettuce wraps were okay but the meat felt like it was from a can or a factory. The crab wontons had cream cheese injected into them which completely throws away the balance of anything remotely seafood or Chinese. The edamame didn't even have salt on it. The damage doesn't stop there. The orange chicken literally was dunked into orange juice and was sour to an unbearable degree. The lo mein was bearable though. And lastly, to rub salt on the wound, it ain't even that cheap. Save yourself time and money and a cringing palate. Go to any one of the many local Chinese restaurants around Palo Alto. Won't ever be returning. Wouldn't be surprised if the place shuts down soon as they barely had customers on a Friday night.
I haven’t been to a P.F.Chang’s for decades and my first time reviewing. As I recalled I always had a less than positive overall experiences eating at any P.F. Chang’s priors thus my two decade pause and also shows in their low customer feedback ratings as well. However i have to say I was glad to be back here for dinner and we had an overall positive delicious back again experience.
Panda Express
We CANNOT THANK Muhammad enough for going above and beyond for our student group. I accidentally ordered to the wrong location and Muhammad personally delivered our order to our classroom. Truly saved the day. And it was really yummy. THANK YOU!!
We came on friday evening to have a dinner. The place is easy to find, there is parking right outside including a rack for bikes. The space Inside is not large, around 10 tables. When We came, the space was not crowded bit not empty either. We ordered two plates (each ~10usd) and a cola, we sat at a table by the window. The table and chairs were clean. The food came in large portions and was very tasty (i ordered my favourite - sesame honey chicken), however, indeed, not so healthy (but that is known in advance) :)) Overall it was a very good experience. The service was fast and polite, the food - warm and tasty, the interior clean.
Panda Express
Phone is useless!!! Had a problem with my order. Tried calling them multiple times (more than 10) . At first, someone would pick up and just hang, to end the call. They got tired after a while and then they would just let the voice mail go with no option to leave a message!!!! I gave this place 1 Star only to be able to put a review. They don't deserve any stars at all!!! One day , I would like to pay them a visit and talk to the manager to see what is said about this!!!
Food is ok, cashier is rude 😅 This one's inside a dining hall so it's easy to pick from the options
Panda Express
It was my first time eating at Panda Express. I thought it was alright! The chow mien portion was huge. It's not gourmet dining by any means, but with the low low price I can see why there were so many customers there.
Ordered the Chili Crisp Bowl. Scheduled a pickup at 1:00pm but they had already made the food around 12:55pm, so the food got a bit cold. Also their pick up process is not smooth. They are supposed to put the food out on the stand, but they didn't. So I had to go to the counter amidst lots of people to ask for my order. They just seemed very rushed and disorganized. The food itself was decent. The restaurant doesn't have much seating and all the regular tables are near the door, so when people come in and out, the cold air from outside blows in your face.
Kirin Restaurant
Our family lunch with banquet dishes and dim sum was delicious, sumptuous and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent, our group of 10 adults and three children was very well taken care of. No matter what we requested, the staff would respond promptly with smiles. I think we have found our future family get together venue.
Food is average but quite expensive. For example, self 6 Safeway fried chicken wings for 15 dollars. Funny that the waitress told us to be careful of the hot egg waffles and claimed it's just cooked. We immediately found that it's actually cold. We asked another waiter about it and they told us it's expected because they had to air dry it to be crispy.
Embrace Luck
Good service, friendly staff, clean facilities (including the restroom). Little bit on the pricey side. Black pepper beef dice are too spicy for my liking! The coconut chicken soup is very good. Shanghai style vegetable rice is also very good. Their chopsticks “system” is the first I have ever see. Just gave you the disposable tip of the chopsticks for you to installed into the body of the chopstick is a very nice hygiene’s way to go.
I drove by this place before, looked at the review and then checked out the menu and decided it's too expensive and not sure what the identity or the style of cuisine was so I decided not to try. Until a group of friends wanted to try it so we did. It turned out much better than expected. Black pepper steak - Sweet and soy sauce pan grilled the tender steak engulf in black pepper sauce actually taste really good. Winter melon in the pot - Spicier then expected for a veggie dish. Not bad. Fried pork - Probably the one dish that was a good deal. As an appetizer, its portion was big. Flavor is good but you will need to like cumin since it powdered with it after frying them. Shanghai veggie rice - this rice was done very well. Not too oily and good combo ratio on veggie and bacon. Still felt it's bit overpriced. And the lack the identity of cuisine it is will also impacted the future popularity of this restaurant. The chef was from San Tung but it didn't have the typical San Tung dishes like 乾烹雞or 炸醬麵. At least some of the Shanghai dishes were done well. Nevertheless, still pricey.
Asian Street Eatery
It was really easy to order and figure out what we wanted. We were offered help in ordering. Also when we asked a question it was answered politely. Once we ordered, we got our food within 10 minutes. Service overall was great. Atmosphere was great. The food was wonderful and overall very flavorful.
Looking for something off the beaten path that taste good? This is the place! Varied selection of various Asian dishes including wraps, dumplings, soups, and grilled meats. Fusion of Vietnamese and chinese. Excellent cuisine. Large open patio for Kimmy. Highly recommend. Kimmy gives two paws up.
Old Town Shanghai
Decent Chinese food for lunch. Quick and efficient service, but the beef noodle soup was not very flavorful. The stir-fried bamboo and pork was good though. Small parking lot in the front, but a larger parking lot in the back makes it easy to find a spot. Nice location if you want a quiet lunch on your own.
Great place to gather people having some Taiwan delights!
Darda Express
Disappointed and Disgusted I ordered chicken chow mein from Darda Express, and to my horror, I found a cockroach in my food. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the restaurant’s hygiene and food safety standards. I immediately lost my appetite and had to throw everything away. I strongly urge the management to address this issue and improve their cleanliness.
I was very excited to try Darda express since we usually frequent to the one at Milpitas which is the original restaurant. The combo fried rice was great but the chow mein was very blend and Mongolian beef has strange sour taste. The food definitely not on par and hope they get better. Halal Chinese is great option
