Emerald Chinese Cuisine
Went here for lunch. Wanted to support our Chinese friends in the US because they’re awesome 🇨🇳 Good variety of Dim Sum. Expansive dining room. Quick and fairly priced. We didn’t go buck wild because that requires a nap. 3 humans ate to satisfaction for 85 bucks with tip included with sodas. The beef fried rice was excellent. The parking lot was calm during the lunch hours
Did not have a good experience for 4 adults $237.88. Felt like we were tricked. Lacked transparency. We ordered their special that was posted on the table for ginger scallion lobster $88. The dish was served with cantonese won ton noodles under the lobster. Which is odd, usually it's served with e-mien. We let them know, it's not what we ordered. The lobster was missing the most important parts. It did not have two claws. Small lobster. We ordered 4 bowls of rice but on the order sheet the server put 3. However, we were charged for 6 small bowls of white rice for $18. We also don't know what the "4 open box" charge is for.
China Express
Ive been eating here for some years now and the experience has always been good. From the food to the workers its been a positive experience that I would recommend for anyone. I really enjoy their soup!!!
Steer away from this place I’ll get five stars for the service I was helped and acknowledged immediately I’ll give the food 2 stars and 1 stare for the food portion asian restaurants like this the portions are usually big not here. I will give zero stars for the sanitary of this establishment. Place is extremely dirty and rundown in need of a real good deep cleaning. I would not recommend this place At all till the place gets cleaned up good. Also, the only reason they are busy because the special they have.(not good at allllll) run the other way.
Panda Express
I ordered fried rice and orange chicken, and it was quite nice. The chicken was soft and warm. I hesitated eating here because of some bad reviews, but it was totally okay. It was just a typical Panda Express. I liked the food. (Actually, the servers were not friendly.)
The rice is horrible, the noodles taste so weird😨 The orange chicken is the worse!!! They are really very bad food. It’s the worst food I have had in my life. No I feel disgusting and my stomach began to hurt faintly. Do not choose here to eat, even it look convenient. People who work there are very nice, but the food are really very bad!!!🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Panda Express
When I asked why I got such a small portion of shrimp I was told "were only allowed to give 7"... all I got was rice and shrimp... even as a single portion all I'm allowed is 7 pieces?
The service wasn’t but you could tell they were having a bad day but its fine, whats not fine Is the amount of food they gave me at this location it was so incredibly light. They also didn’t accept a coupon I had. I checked online and literally every panda express within a 50 mile radius was participating in that coupon except ofcourse this location.
Panda Express
Sunday dinner:(~7.30 pm) - Walk-in, not busy. - Ordered my usually noodles, orange chicken. It’s okay, not that fresh, but okay. - Seating is outside like a common dine in for all the food places around, it’s pretty cold to even finish the food. Skip it if you want to dine in.
Was really hungry but didn’t want to spend $15 for a meal so I ordered a side of lo mein for like $5 here and it was enough to fill me up. Tasted decent too. Would go back and try other stuff!
Hong Kong Restaurant
I was looking for late night eats and came across this gem of a place. Food was good and hot! I appreciate a spot that is open late not many are in San Diego, 3am is the latest I’ve ever seen a place open! Everything is served in to go boxes so if you wanna eat some there and take the rest home they make that easy for you to do so.
Everything was really good except the egg rolls are basically spring rolls, not the best. Definitely recommend the egg drop soup and broccoli beef. Food was also wrapped up really well so nothing spilled.
Mein St. Asian Kitchen
Chef specialty’s are really good! Singapore’s noodles a bit spicy because of the Curry and Beef Chau Fan is delicious. Portions are big enough. Not a lot of seating because it’s a food hall but worth it
Mein St is within the Little Italy Food Hall in San Diego. It offers a variety of Asian cuisine with highlights including house made dumplings and succulent wings. We found it whilst wondering around Little Italy on our first day. When we checked it out online, we nearly didn’t order from here as the google reviews didn’t score above a four. However, we were fairly exhausted and hadn’t really seen anything else that appealed so we went for it. We were very glad that we did! When I collected the order, the person that served us who I think could have been the owner appeared to be very humble. We ordered the following: Xiao Long Bao, which came as a portion of six (we only remembered to take the picture once we had already launched in and eaten two). These were nice and meaty with a thin soup retained within the pastry. Pork pot stickers which were served with house made zesty garlic soy dipping sauce. Mein St Wings, which were definitely the star of the show. These were huge with lots of succulent chicken lightly battered. The sauce which tasted like a mix between Peking and Cantonese was sweet and sticky. Combo Chow Mein, which consisted of wok-tossed noodles, broccoli, carrots, onions spinach, bean sprouts, savory soy sauce. Chicken fried rice which was again wok-tossed with beansprouts, peas, scallions, onions, egg. Both chow mein and fried rice were massive portions. After the starters we didn’t even scratch the surface. The next evening we ordered two portions of the chicken wings and reheated the left overs.
Great Wall Express
Been going here for a year and a half. Food is delicious and affordable. The owner is very kind and gives generous portions. I’ve never had a bad meal here! My favs: Combo C: with -Lo Mein -sweet n sour chicken -mushroom chicken - and orange chicken So good!
Ordered delivery from here for the first time. Wouldn't recommend at all . Was delivered to a hotel and had no utensils or condiments. Once I finally found some utensils to use, food was not good at all. That red stuff is sweet and sour chicken! Never in my life seen it like that. Very disappointing.
Pick Up Stix Fresh Asian Flavors
My son visited this place for lunch. Chicken noodles and rice! How can you mess that up! Needless to say he will never ever go back! Eeeewww 🤮🤮
the manager I’m guessing it was super politile and has amazing service! He was so kind when ringing my order he even brought me my food at panda the food is great but there very rushy and not always as welcoming as I felt here that made my day thank you :)
Panda Express
Not coming here no more they’re terrible on the drive-through I usually go in and it’s a much better experience, but I went to the drive-through right now cause I had to be somewhere and all I ordered was an eggroll and Rangoon that is so simple. She hand me the bag and it’s heavy I said are you sure this is mine? Those four items should not be this heavy she took it back. Took forever got the manager. They had to refund it to my method of payment and I said why can’t I get the cash because it takes days and I said this isn’t my fault to begin with Next time they should say what your total is then I would’ve known $16 is not the amount it should be for two eggrolls and two Rangoon‘s but she didn’t say the total I just tapped my phone. They had no apologies bad attitude typical Mexicans in San Diego, where they think they run this place and can’t ever admit when they’re wrong and then to top it off they don’t even offer an extra item in the bag for a thank you and inconvenience. The drive-through was piling up like seven cars now behind me and to top it off top it off the food wasn’t even hot. It was lukewarm and yes, I put a complaint into Corporate. I’m never coming back to this Panda Express again. They show their true colors all that hello welcome that they do when you walk in it doesn’t reflect in the drive-through.
Asked for honey walnut shrimp and white rice. Received everything BUT that. And even asked if it was correct the looked at the receipt and said yes
New Maxim's Palace
Great place for Chinese food and close late too. We came here for dinner after visiting the local zoo. Eight dishes were ordered and they made them quickly. The lady taking the order was very friendly. The restrooms were clean but had a strong smell of moth balls. There is free parking but most of the spaces are small.
Another little gem in the city of San Diego, I only had an issue with the portion size was too small for the price, but on a good note, their honey walnut shrimp reminded me of my visit to Chinatown in San Francisco. That was very hard to do because you have never tasted Chinese food until you tried it in Chinatown in San Francisco. And they practically mirrored the flavor.
Great Wall Express
Love this place for a quick bite. Chow mein is tasty, lots of veggies and the noodles have a nice chew to them. Love the veggie egg rolls. They have curry flavor to them. I've tried orange chicken, mushroom chicken, chicken curry, BBQ pork, and sweet and sour chicken. All were pretty good. I like that they don't overcook the chicken. It's always nice and moist and tender. The boba drinks are on my "to try" list.
I will never go here again. I used to love them now they are overpriced and under-served unless of course you're a male (I'm a female). The man in front of me git a HUGE portion of the exact same order as me. Then, the man behind me got a HUGE portion of the same item I ordered. Totally biased to men. I will share a Pic of my order.
