First time visiting this place and the service was great. The lunch deals they offer are great and large portions, the food was all yummy and will definitely be coming back. Was able to find free parking in front of this location as well.

Very friendly folks. The food was super yummy! The ratio of onions to beef was a bit high on the Mongolian Beef. Orange chicken and lo mein were delicious.

Why would anyone in their right mind spend money at Panda Express with this place so close by off Balboa? Please, why?! Huge portions. Super friendly service. Great options. Might not be the most fresh Chinese food, you should already know that. FCE is a must-visit for those looking for affordable Chinese fast food to take out.

Great food. Great service. They don't mess around. The containers barely close because they're so full. People seem to forget how to drive in the parking lot, so be careful. It's next to a chic fil a, so there are a lot of oversized emotional support vehicles.

Tiny little restaurant with super authentic Chinese food. There were at least three banquet tables filled with so much food the waitress actually split some of their dishes into smaller plates so that they would fit on the table. We got their specialty dish, the French beef. It came with super tender chunks of beef quickly stir fried in a delicious sauce. The meat was medium rare and amazing, and served in a bed of onions and lettuce. We got the pea sprouts with garlic for a simple and delicious vegetable dish. Scallops with XO sauce also had chilies, onion, and a delicious sauce. The waiter warned us that it was spicy, and it was very tasty and not too hot. My hubby's favorite was the French cooked beef. Mine was the duck and taro clay pot, as it was fragrant with taro, and the roast duck with bones was tender and tasty and deeply flavored the thick sauce. It was all good, came quickly, and the waiters packed up our leftovers quickly and easily.

This is our favorite Cantonese restaurant in town. Although slightly more pricier than other Cantonese restaurants, the quality is also much much higher. Our favorite dishes are: Roasted duck in Cantonese style, Guifei chicken, sizzling beef steak with black pepper, and Pea shoots with preserved eggs. Waiters are friendly and helpful. You also get free sugar soup, a traditional Cantonese after meal dessert if you dine in for dinner.

Our group of 4 people order 4 main dishes and 2 bowls of rice to start. Every dish was delicious. Eggplant and fish, French style beef, shrimp and vegetables, and roast duck were perfect. The chef even accommodated our request. The wait staff were efficient and helpful. Hopefully, the pictures will be helpful and appetizing. We arrived at 1pm on a Saturday and there was no line at all, seated immediately. Parking, well, we parked on the nearby street; parking here is tough so plan on circling the lot of parking nearby.

This is a small Chinese restaurant specializing in Cantonese cuisine. This is our second visit and were not disappointed at all. The cold chicken is delicious and served with an onion and ginger sauce. The calamari was a bit tough but very fresh. The roasted pork belly and fried tofu is delicious. Each portion was just the right size to share for two people. The whole dinner was about $48. Nit bad for three dishes. The place is clean and well maintained. The staff is very attentive and the manager checks on every table. They have wine and beer. Our tea came with the diner. The service was quick but not overtly fast. Just the right pace. Typical, dishes come out as they are ready, so our cold chicken hit the table first, followed by the fried calamari and then the clay pot. Highly recommend this award winning restaurant !

A friend of mine and I always go here. It is our go-to spot for hot and sour soup as well as dumplings. The portions are very generous, and an entree can feed two people easily. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly! You definitely should give Spicy City a try! Only issue is the parking can be a challenge at busier times, but that isn't the fault of the restaurant.

Authentic shichuan with good portion size at reasonable prices. The decor is simple. The dishes come out quick and delicous. Price is very reasonable. We go often and like many dishes there. Must get is the cold plate where you can pick 3 items from the spread. La zhi ji and sour fish are also very good. Service is fast and efficient. Parking available in the mall.

If you’re looking for authentic and delicious BBQ that transports you straight to the streets of China, this is the place to go! The moment I tasted the skewers, I was overwhelmed with a nostalgic feeling of being back home. The flavors are rich, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection, with each bite more satisfying than the last. The spiral potato skewer had just the right crispiness and seasoning that melted in my mouth, while the meat skewers were tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The spice levels were on point—just enough heat to keep you coming back for more. Even the smaller dishes like quail eggs, chicken feet, and cold noodles were packed with bold, authentic flavors that reminded me of traditional Chinese street food. The service was outstanding, too. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making me feel at home with their warm and friendly demeanor. The atmosphere added to the experience, creating a truly unforgettable meal. If you’re craving a taste of China, don’t miss out on this gem. It’s an absolute must-visit!

Chinese street food in a sit down environment l, most people come to buy things like the smoked duck neck by the pound( which is amazing by the way)or some seasoned veggies. For me the star is the skewers any and everything is amazing chose between 5 spice spicy extra spicy or sweet and sour for each it doesn't matter they're all awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful everything is made to order BTW and it comes out hot and fast.

We decided to try a restaurant that we always to try. Lanzhou Noodlelicious is a fantastic place. The food was delicious and flavorful. It's great to see a chef make fresh hand pulled noodles for your dish. Our waiter, who was by himself, was great and answered all our questions about the dishes. He was friendly and work very hard to help all the guest. The Braised Beef Noodle Soup is one of the best I've had in San Diego. The best part is you get to choose the type of noodles you want in your dish. This was a great experience and the food was delicious. We definitely will return for another meal 1. Spicy Hot Oil Noodles 2. Braised Beef Brisket Noodle Soup 3.Chicken And Squid Skewers 4. Steamed buns (mantou)

Update August 2nd 2024 Same Delicious beef broth for all noodle. Lamb skewers great not stink at all, . That noodles were so different, they flew through my stomach. I ordered beef noodles, spicy noodles, and a cold appetizer. I want to try more next time

Our Chinese friend took us here, and below is our group’s review. Dishes marked with asterisks are our all-time favorites: 1. *Ginger Scallion Beef: 7.7/10 Slender, juicy beef with great flavor. 2. Sausage Fried Rice: 6/10 If you like pork and sausage, this one's for you! 3. *Beef Chow Mein: 7/10 Great flavor, but the noodle texture could be better. 4. *Garlic String Beans: 8.5/10 Perfectly seasoned, though we'd prefer the string beans to be crispier. 5. Xiao Long Bao: 7/10 Big and thick, but not as fresh or juicy as we expected. 6. Garlic Broccoli: 7/10 Good overall, but we were hoping for Chinese broccoli. 7. Pork Buns: 9/10 Crispy bottom, perfectly cooked dough, seasoned with green scallions, and stuffed with pork—what’s not to love? 8. *Hunan-Style Lamb: 9.5/10 A must-try for spice lovers—heavenly! Pairs perfectly with the sausage fried rice. 9. Honey Walnut Shrimp: 7.5/10 Candied walnuts cooked to perfection, with jumbo shrimp that are tasty, though the sauce was a bit too sweet.

Delicious Seafood pepper noodles and pumpkin pancake! We actually were going to the next door restaurant but saw quite a few people waiting outside this restaurant so we decided to try it. Most of the patrons were Asians. We just ordered what the next table had ordered which looked really good. That was a smart thing to do :-)

I’ve never been to China Max before it burned down but it seems like ppl are excited for it to re-open. I went during lunch before I was told there’s an AYCE option. Unfortunately it was only during dinner and it ended on 3/27. Anyway, six of us ordered multiple dishes to share. Chicken dumplings in hot chili oil were great. I liked the texture as well as the taste (although a bit more spicy would be better). Sweet and Sour pork ribs were tender and flavorful. Noodles with Pork Chop were good. The noodles were chewy in a good way and pork chop was crispy and not over fried. The soup dumplings and pan fried pork buns were ok. The cucumber salad was disappointing as they were not marinated long enough. The spicy sauce on top was plain. There were many items not available during our visit. I think it’s a good place to try it out but not my go to place. The taste and the portion are not worth the price.

Not sure what the hype is. Crab XLB were dry with no broth in them and they tasted like canned crab. The pork siu mai looked old and had a weird texture. Chicken dumplings in spicy oil were ok but nothing special. Servers were nice and answered questions which is a plus. So glad they had Tsingtao to wash my disappointment away!

Love coming here such yummy food! Customer service was top tier cam was a great host! The bulgogi bao and chili wontons are standout items, offering a delicious fusion of flavors. The restaurant’s playful decor and plant-filled patio add to the experience, though it can get busy, leading to longer waits. Parking in the area can be tricky, but the quality of the food makes it worth the trip. A great choice for those craving creative and tasty Asian-inspired dishes!

The kings of Convoy St. This place will blow you away. I tried a fried chicken bao and the bulgoggi wrap to start. Both really really good. Fresh and strong flavor without being overpowering. The piggy taco was one of the best I’ve ever had. Insanely juicy and tender. Amazing. A must stop for any San Diego foodie

I was surprised to find a potato noodle (土豆粉) spot in San Diego after more than a decade! Brought my husband, child, and mom to try it—such a nostalgic experience. The potato noodles were generous in portion; I got one spicy with crispy pork and one original with beef. The spicy one was too intense for me, but if you love heat, you’ll enjoy it! The original tasted just like I remembered, especially with extra vinegar. My husband preferred the braised beef noodle soup—the broth was rich, and the beef was tender. We also got crispy chicken and skewers, which paired perfectly. The shop is inside Zhengxin Chicken—definitely worth a visit for a comforting and nostalgic meal!

Potato noodles are an absolute delight! The texture is incredibly chewy and smooth, making every bite satisfying. The broth is rich, flavorful, and packed with aromatic spices, creating a deep and comforting taste. The combination of fresh vegetables, tender meat, and secret sauces enhances the overall experience. Plus, being naturally gluten-free makes it a great option for those with dietary restrictions. If you’re looking for a unique and authentic Chinese dish, potato noodles are definitely worth trying!
