The best Chinese restaurant on campus, and it was an incredible experience! The food was delicious, with a great variety of authentic dishes. The customer service was outstanding; the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome. The service was impressively fast, making it perfect for a quick, satisfying meal between classes. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing food and a pleasant dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

They've gone through various pricing methods since they've opened. The current one (third version?) is certainly better than the previous one with the pre made bowls because now you can just pick and choose what you want, and they price you based on the weight, Yogurt World style. I have no idea what $0.79 per ounce means, so I tried to be conservative with what I got, but it ended up being $11 anyways. It wasn't super filling. I like that they have rice bowls for $1, two for $1.5. I like rice, and dining halls don't give a decent amount of good rice, so this is passable. There was a free food event with food from Fan Fan, but I didn't see many of the meat options I saw there. Whatever, maybe my eyes are bad. The orange chicken is nice and sweet and I also like the saltiness of the white fish and the mapo tofu is good too. What's truly interesting, though, is their midnight menu. I have yet to try it, but from what I observed and what other people there told me, it's a build your own hot pot where they charge based on the weight of the dry ingredients before they add soup. You put the ingredients in a wiped down bowl and then you wait with a buzzer until they add soup to it. It's $9.99/lb and I don't think I would get a pound of noodles, so this sets an upper limit of $10, which sounds like a great deal. I'll try it someday Also, why does Fan Fan have a sketch 3d concept art rendering of their place as a photo for this place 💀

Just kinda gross. Ordered the Korean fried chicken on the bone with dipping sauce. It came with unlabeled squeeze bottles of what tasted like sauces they just put on other things, none tasted good for chicken. Biting into the chicken itself was a nightmare. None of the three large pieces were identifiable parts of a chicken like you would get in a KFC bucket. It looked like someone took a cleaver to a chicken blindfolded. Over half of it was completely inedible fried gristle (the picture is what was LEFT. If I wasn’t at a big family dinner I would have refused to pay for it. The other food at the table was pretty mediocre. The carelessness of the pan-Asian decorations is laughable. In one picture I managed to capture a crappy, fake bonsai tree, a Thai Buddha head, a Chinese Taoist gong and two paintings designed by someone with no knowledge of the Japanese language using a translator app lazily (the “way of the Samurai isn’t 侍の道 it’s 武士道). Service was fine. The very existence of this restaurant is an affront to good taste, in both senses. I could only imagine going there if you were staying at the hotel next door. But even if you are, go somewhere else. If you want crappy Chinese food, save some money and door dash Panda Express.

My family and I are regular customers of PF Chang's, enjoying both dine-in and takeout experiences across various locations. However, our recent visit to the La Jolla Village, San Diego restaurant was unfortunately a significant letdown. We ordered our usual dishes: shrimp fried rice, honey chicken, and kids' orange chicken with fried rice. While my family's meals arrived without issue, the shrimp fried rice I received was concerning. The rice grains were excessively hard and dry, almost as if they were undercooked. When we brought this to the attention of our server, they promptly offered to remake the dish. However, the second serving was equally problematic, appearing excessively wet and soupy, almost as if it had been washed. Upon informing our server about this issue, we were told that both orders of rice were from the same batch. This seemed unlikely given that my family's rice was cooked correctly. The manager offered to remake the dish again, but at that point, our appetite had been completely diminished. We were disappointed with this experience, especially considering our consistent patronage of PF Chang's. We hope this feedback is taken seriously to improve the quality and consistency of your food preparation.

We celebrated my wife’s birthday here. Except for the wait time, everything else was great. It was our first time visiting and each dish was an adventure. The servers were quite nice and accommodating. The menu is straightforward especially with the digital version that has all the info and pictures. Drinks were also tasty and playful👌. Highly recommend. A potential tip would just to add yourself to the online waitlist about 3 hours ahead of the time you want to visit and you should be good to go

This Taiwanese restaurant is very popular, so be prepared for a long wait! They don’t take reservations, but you can sign up for the waiting list either at the store or online. The usual wait time is a couple of hours, but since it’s located in a shopping mall, I recommend signing up and exploring the mall while you wait. One of the highlights is the dumpling-making show—you can watch the chefs prepare dumplings through a big clear window, which adds to the experience. I tried the soup dumplings (xiao long bao), and they were excellent—juicy and flavorful. The fried rice, however, could have used a bit more salt and pepper. As for the noodles, I had a minced beef one this time, but I’m curious to try the spicy version next time. Overall, it’s a great spot for authentic Taiwanese food, just make sure you plan ahead for the wait!

Amazing First Visit – Warm, Memorable, and Exceptional! We visited HaiDiLao in San Diego for the first time, and it left us with an incredibly warm and impressive experience! The food was fresh and delicious, the service was attentive and thoughtful, and the environment was clean and cozy—everything made us feel right at home. What truly stood out was the exceptionally caring service, which we’ll never forget. We’ll definitely be back! A special thank you to Dena, our San Diego graduate server, for her professional and heartwarming service—she truly made our visit extra special. And big thanks to Paul at the entrance for his humor and welcoming vibe—you both added so much joy to our meal! Thank you, HaiDiLao San Diego, for such a wonderful dining experience!

We visited Haidilao Chinese Hotpot early in the day, and while it wasn't too busy yet, there were still 4-5 tables occupied. I’ve been to this location twice before—once in the evening, where I encountered a long wait and had to order drinks at the bar. So, I decided to come early this time to avoid the crowds. I loved everything my colleagues ordered, and it was the perfect day for hotpot given the rainy weather! The staff were friendly and helpful, which enhanced our experience. The restaurant itself is convenient, clean, and beautifully decorated. While it is a bit pricey, the quality of the ingredients justifies the cost. I think it's worth it to visit once in a while for a treat!

The salt pepper fried fish fillets are so delicious. Crispy on the fried skin and tender juicy inside. Very surprisingly tasty. The chicken is nice too. Good flavor, however it is not typically exactly the same flavor I had before. However it is still good with rice.

What a bargain for lunch! I was in the mood for lo mein and came upon this restaurant in my search in the area. I didn't know how much their lunch special were until I sat down and looked at their menu. Wow! You cannot beat $11 for lunch these days and the food was served on a huge platter! I almost laughed when the waitress brought it out to the table. This is a small restaurant with a few small patio tables in front. It was a weekday and it wasn't busy. The cashier/waitress was really friendly and nice. She had a ready smile for everyone who came in. I wanted shrimp lo mein for lunch but only chicken or pork lo mein were on the lunch menu. I paid $2 more for shrimp and there were a lot in my dish. It was really good. The side salad was plain and just mainly iceberg lettuce but the egg roll was good.

It’s been a long time since we’ve ordered here, but the family was craving Chinese food, it’s part of our Nee Years Day tradition. I had work today and didn’t have time to drive and pick up from our usual restaurant. Placed an order for the family on New Years Day using the Panda Express App. It was super easy to navigate. Upon arrival, I added the vegetable spring rolls, they made them fresh to order. Staff was welcoming, they smiled, they greeted you and they were all super helpful. The food was half the price of our usual go to restaurant and Panda Express offered more flavor. Everyone was happy, the food was fresh, hot and filling. We spent less than $12 each for four adults. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

I've loved Panda Express for a long time. I have a lot of food sensitivities and for whatever reason, never have a problem with Pandas food, until tonight. This was the first time the chow mein was old, dry and nasty, and the teriyaki chicken genuinely smelled bad. I had a few bites and regretted it. My stomach is regretting it too. The employees were all gabbing to each other and straight up rude, starting to check me out and then talking over me to their friend. Curt, didn't scan my app. I get that I came later at night and it was slow, but they were open for another hour. The food shouldn't be bad if they're doing their jobs. I've been to other Pandas and they'll monitor and tell you x entree isn't being served anymore because it's been sitting too long. They'll throw it out and offer you the fresher dish. These people obviously didn't care at all and sold me some really nasty stuff. :( The service and quality used to be great when they had the older crew working there. I don't know what happened, it's basically a bunch of teenagers now.

The first time I went here it wasn’t very good, and they weren’t very good at explaining their “specials” and when they were applicable. Anyway, yesterday I went to sushi next door with my boyfriend. We spend a lot of money there for barely any food. It was disappointing. I decided to go to golden chopsticks and take out something actually filling. And let me tell you the only thing you EVER need to order here is the salt and pepper chicken with a side of rice. Hits Every. Single. Time. Delicious! Also not a fan of their fried rice so I’d stick with the plain rice if I were you. Also the egg drop soup is pretty good too. Thank you!!

Decide to take my coworkers to this newer Chinese restaurant around the area. I haven’t been but saw their salt and pepper chicken wings on ads…so I was sold. Most dishes are good but not amazing to SD standard. But those wings were so crispy and seasoned properly. I might come back just for those wings haha

It's okay. I was rather unimpressed by the food even though I absolutely loved the party trays from this restaurant. Essentially, if you want food, make sure you are ordering the salt and pepper chicken wings from this restaurant as a party tray. The dishes and dim sum are super underwhelming even though the prices aren't overtly unreasonable. The service was excellent and the area was comfortable though. I did notice they used the microwave and I will say that the food somehow was still a bit cold. I don't really care if the microwave was used but I wish the food was hotter.

Delicious hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant. First thing, this establishment is described as a dim sum restaurant. While they do have some dim sum, the selection is a bit limited. Just wanted to note that if you were planning on entertaining a full dim sum experience. Having said that, the Chinese food here is tasty. We had the House Special Chow Mein (crispy) and it was well-made (although, the dish included fish, which we weren't expecting, but the dish was still tasty). The Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings), gyoza, and baked pork buns were enjoyable as well. The restaurant is tucked away in an Asian grocery store, but it is a nice establishment with good Chinese food.

The restaurant is very small and by the timing of the kitchen I’m guessing the kitchen is even smaller. But wait— The food is 5 stars. So for that reason alone I would come back. It’s best to go earlier to beat the rush as food will take longer to arrive especially for a large party. The kitchen timing for food is on the slower side and dishes come out one at a time. So it’s not the fastest food service which doesn’t help if your party is hungry or has kids, which our party was and we had kids. The food was so slow that I didn’t have time to take pictures of all the dishes as we were hungry and devoured every dish that arrived at the table. The dumplings and XLB were all so delicious. The food is very authentic. I appreciate that they give every table a tablet to order our own dishes, as the tablet has images of all the food so it’s hard to mess up your own order. Conclusion, I would come again with 1 person max, for take out and during a non-busy time.

One of the best dumpling restaurants! Very substantial menu with dumplings, noodles, and authentic Chinese dishes. In addition to XLB, we enjoyed the sweet and sour pork, honey walnut shrimp, and spicy chicken. Haven’t had a bad dish here. Once sat down, the waiter will hand you an iPad to order. This is very efficient. The orders go into the kitchen immediately. Nice decoration with wall murals depicting Chinese cuisine. This is our 4th visit and will definitely continue to dine there.

A hole in the wall type restaurant, perfect little spot for food for your family. I came here with mine after not wanting to wait for Pho nearby. Food: - Sesame chicken lunch special: 4/5 ⭐️, it was a little crunchy but chewy. The taste is so-so, not amazing and not the best. The portion is huge for the price so their lunch special is worth it! - Steamed fish filet: 10/5 ⭐️, it's delicious! it's my favorite dish and is now my comfort food that I doordash to my house often. I can't recommend this dish enough! - Mongolian beef: 4/5 ⭐️, the beef tasted so well reasoned, not super chewy just the right amount, and so delicious. - Chicken upside down noodle: 3.5/5 ⭐️, it's not very seasoned and a bit bland. The noodles were good and so were the chicken but I wish it was a bit more well seasoned to taste anything. Atmosphere and Service: the staff are extremely friendly, we had many questions on the seafood section of the menu and they were very patient and lovely! They gave good recommendations! The atmosphere of the restaurant is dim, rich and cozy. Overall, it's honestly a really good spot for the price and portion of the food. My family and I like it enough to want to come back again next time we're in the area!

Great place for Chinese fare. I've always enjoyed Szechuan style Chinese restaurants and this place doesn't disappoint. Very reasonable lunch specials that will fill you up. My server was polite and fast, all while getting my order exactly right. The idea that they automatically give you hot mustard and sweet red sauce with your appetizer is amazing. I had the crab Rangoon app, honey walnut shrimp lunch special that came with the oh so tasty egg drop soup. I also asked for crispy noodles for the soup and they were the best kind.

Easily the best tasting Chinese food I have eaten in a long time. Evenly cooked, flavorful, balanced with fresh ingredients and ample meats. Usually, Chinese restaurants saturate their food with salt, sugar, and rancid oil. That is not the case here. The food is VERY good. Clean restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy parking access I will definitely be returning with my whole crew 🦜🏴‍☠️ - Yar!!!

We came last night and it was packed. Food was great but the appetizer came late..the 2 main order was ahead from the appetizer anyway, still food was really good and generous servings. Only request is one server her hair was not so neat looking that it can fall on the food she serves. They have to tie their hair like a bun to prevent that. Her hair was all over. Presentable staff is important for preserve cleanliness. But to be fair, it is really delicious what they cook esp the vegetable shabu soup. A plus clean restroom!

This Chinese restaurant is authentic and delicious with a high spicy level. We ordered some their top pick dishes, like smashed eggplant and century egg, spicy beef entrails, pork bun, and Hunan spicy beef. The eggplant and century egg was their first pick and tasted amazing, especially with rice. The other entrees were great, but I liked the top pick the most. The majority of entrees were highly spicy, but did not serve with rice. Rice was also not unlimited after ordering. Seats could be limited. We came here early, so no need to wait. But there was a long line when we left.

Food from Hunan it's spicy and I mean really SPICY. So if you don't like it or want to try ...be aware ..🌶️🌶️🥵 If you Finnaly try the spicy 🔥🥵 food will have some consequences in your stomach for a couple of days after visit the restaurant . Some older Chinese go there and they said it's not even so spicy as was in Hunan ..so imagine how it's there . They have pork, duck , 🦆 , beef options . Try the tofu and the Chinese sauces plates if you want something ligth and don't take the risk .. You will be missing a good experience .
