Amazing service and even better food. Xander was an outstanding server and a soul reason we will be back! The green beans are AMAZING. 15/10. So rich with favorite and cooked to perfection. Cucumbers are fabulous, the tofu pork, popcorn chicken, and chicken fried rice. I absolutely love that they are gluten free friendly! We will be back!

Shiitake mushrooms in noodles were amazing but rest of the dish was very greasy and heavy. Dumplings were good crispy. Scallion pancakes were underwhelming. Nice interior

Chinatown Express

I was driving by and decided to get something for lunch before my 2 jour drive. I ordered the 2 item combo, half fried rice and noodles with beef and broccoli and chop suey with shrimp (cabbage, vegetables and shrimp) this caught my eye because the shrimp were large 16 count shrimp almost prawn size. The food was tasty and generous portions. The dining area is small but clean. While I was there, several people ordered food to go. I can definitely see why. I will definitely return.

Styrofoam containers keep getting smaller & smaller! Then they “pack” it full so it makes you think you’re getting a good portion. They purposely haphazardly throw rice or chow mein (whatever you pick) in so that you get less of your “entree”, there is always noodles or rice underneath! Anything to cut costs & maximize profits smh

Sichuan Impression

The meal was absolutely delightful! The flavors were perfectly balanced, with each dish offering a unique and satisfying taste. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was elegant, making the whole experience visually appealing. The spices and seasoning were just right, enhancing the natural flavors without overpowering them. The service was exceptional, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyment. Each bite was a perfect harmony of textures and tastes, leaving me eager to come back for more. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a memorable dining experience!

Authentic tastes from the Sichuan province! Delicious foods, and their spicy food was truly spicy! However, some food for example the pork belly was too sweet in my opinion, so if you are visiting that restaurant do not order their pork belly! It's way too sweet and sticky for taste. Other than that their soups were delicious, and their vegetables! Staff was all super friendly and nice! Highly recommend.

Panda Express

As Panda Expresses go this location is modern, clean and very nice. The food is made fresh and the high turnover assures you get freshly made entrees. The staff is nice and accommodating (it is unfortunate that they don’t allow sampling). The seating area is large and clean. The line moves fairly quick. Lots of parking in the lot. Overall a convenient pleasant place to eat.

Just had lunch at Panda Express! Always a fan of their meals and combo options. The staff was great, super quick service, and the prices are totally reasonable too!

Qin West Noodle

The first time I came here on a quiet Saturday evening. The soups are really tasty and authentic. I really liked the beef noodle soup, the beef was very tender and the noodles were nice and chewy and portion size is good. I would give five stars but I'm not a fan of plastic bowls and plastic spoons. Wish they would use reusable flatware and dishware for dine-in. I think we have enough microplastics in our bodies.

Good value: Monday to Saturday 11am to 3pm lunch special with Tai ice tea for only $8.99! Free parking lot in front of the store is a big plus. The Zhajiang Noodle is delicious and the portion is big. The King Pao Chicken is a bit too salty. The environment is very spacious and comfortable. Recommend!

Went in on a Monday night for happy hour before heading to the pub/bar next door which shows the football. We got there just after 4pm and were next door by kickoff at 5:15pm. The best happy hour. All appetizers and drinks are 1/2 off. We ordered one of basically everything on the appetizer menu and it was awesome. Good size portions, tasty and fresh. We ordered 5 dishes and 2 glasses of wine and it came to under $50. Highly recommend during happy hour.

Came here for DineLA and wanted to love this place but… it does not stack up. First off, the plating is wild. We were served all 8 dishes, including a cold dessert at the SAME TIME. Dessert as we are getting an app was strange. Then for the food, very average and not flavorful. Honestly it all looked better than it tasted. Lobster was some of the worst i’ve had. Could barely remove it from the shell it was overcooked and rubbery. Highlight was a sesame cake / custard that was very good. Decor and vibe inside is nice, lots of space between tables. As I said, you walk in and want to like the place but it doesn’t hit the mark. I would not recommend.

Shanghai Diamond Garden

Food quality is the worst I have had. I never leave reviews but I could not pass on this one. So disappointed, the beef they used for the beef pan fried noodles is not real beef, it tastes like a cat. Egg rolls and wings are so soggy. Never again

We had a delicious dinner with prompt and courteous service. The food was amazing to the last bite. It was like a textbook example of a great restaurant experience. Our compliments to the chef and wait staff. Can't wait to come back!

Happy Panda Kitchen Chinese Hot Pot

I and my friends went here frequently when I was still studying at UCLA. Now I’m in a different places, I still miss the food here. I tried different hot pots, and different drinks every time I visited here. I like the apple drink, and strawberry drink the most. For the hot pot, they have different spicy levels which is very convenient. I don’t have a preference for hot pot since I like them all. I would recommend this place

Came here with a friend for a quick bite after visiting another friend in the hospital. Food is decent and on par with any other hot pot place. It was lovely that it was actually spicy, so great for individual hot pot! You can choose between mild and spicy!

We are happy to find a decent Chinese food on west side, 5 min drive from UCLA. I like delicious food, not too oily or spicy, good atmosphere and easy parking. We like General Tso's chicken and Shrimp toast. Pam is very friendly and helpful! Recommend this place if you come to West LA.

Great service, quick ordering and you can make their Amazing chicken salad vegan when you sub for tofu. Love the vegan Chinese salad

iHome Kitchen Chinese Dumpling House (Beverly)

Northern Cafe is fire! The dumplings were amazing, so juicy and flavorful. Service was on point, super chill vibes from the staff, and they were quick with everything. If you're craving bomb dumplings and a great spot to chill, this is it. Totally worth the hype, no cap! Will be going back again soon!

Dishonest Tipping Practice I’ve been to this northern café in Beverly Hills before with my white husband and had a pleasant experience, so I decided to take my parents visiting from Beijing. Unfortunately, this time was very different. The waiter didn’t greet us or offer any conversation. We didn’t need his help for the self-service water, but he poured it for us anyway and then walked away. At other northern-style cafes, tipping isn’t expected since it’s mostly self-serve. Here, you scan a QR code to order, pack your own food, and check out at the counter. When it was time to pay, I noticed the waiter had already selected a tip for me without my consent. The only words he spoke were asking me to swipe, and when I questioned why the tip was already included, he seemed irritated and just told me to sign. I didn’t want to make a scene in front of my parents, but this felt like tip fraud. Also the food tasted not great, you can see the dumplings were broken. I’d appreciate a response from the owner about whether this is standard practice and a partial refund of my tip. If it is, it’s even more concerning. Update: the owner simply would like to deny other than checking the camera. I have uploaded My receipt picture already and they chose to deny. Read previous reviews pls this happened more than once

I ordered takeout today— the staff are super nice and the food came out quickly! I got an order of their炸酱面 and dumplings(8pcs)三鲜饺子. I thought the portion of noodles was really great—Easy to share with others. The dumplings were really delicious— right amount of thickness of skin with juicy insides. Every dumpling was consistent with the other and the size of the dumplings were good. I see why people enjoy their dumplings! Noodles might not be their main sell: but the zhajiangmian really hit the spot for me today. The sauce is not a thick paste so it’s more on the liquid side. It coats the noodle easily and I love that there was a lot of cucumber and enough meat for so much noodle. They also provided utensils and dumpling sauce 👍

It's serious!!!!! My goodness, the service was more than amazing, for being the first time I visited the place, really delicious food but a thousand thanks to Miss Vicky for her excellent: help, kindness, perfect service. Super clean place. I ordered to take away and it was super fast.

ixlb DimSum Eats

How do you pronounce this business? 9LB? iXlb? Is it latin? Aztec? Taiwaztec? I don’t know but I love it. Just visited this restaurant for the first time and left totally blown away. I ordered the Taiwanese cabbage, the vegetarian baos, and the steamed seafood pearls, and omg the food is so fresh. The steamed seafood pearls are the best: juicy and bouncy. The taste is beyond. The cabbage and the baos need a little dressing up with the sauce, but overall super fresh and healthy. I ordered to go and Jenny at the front was really nice in explaining the menu to me. Will definitely come back to try the fried dumplings and different baos. A++ recommend. One note: they do use a lot of plastic. I’m aware that a lot of the food is steamed and comes out super hot. Maybe there’s a different type of serving set they could phase to in the future that is less harmful for the environment.

I had seen an overwhelmingly positive review of this place and thus felt optimistic about trying it out. For one, it was over a hundred dollars for everything, which would usually be fair in Westwood, but I should have known something would be wrong with the stinginess of the sauce. They charged about 2-3 dollars for sauces (soy sauce, Sriracha, chili oil, etc), so if you decide to eat here, I just recommend bringing your sauces from home. Second, we dined in, and the food was still brought out to us in to go containers despite them having seating outdoors. This was disappointing as it felt rather wasteful. Third, there were no plates they could give us to eat right there. The actual food: My groups' order consisted of half vegetarian and half meat (shrimp and chicken). Hands down, their spring roll tasted amazing and started off the meal with high hopes, so I fully recommend that. The vegetable dumplings and vegetable bao dumlings were decent. The chicken over rice was also okay. The garlic noodles and chow mein were okay. However, the shrimp dumplings were disappointing. I would only recommend the fried shrimp dumplings. I would not recommend the rice ball dumpling as that was not good. It tasted weird. Overall, I walked away disappointed with the meal as most of it was subpar. Sure, some things didn't taste terrible, but for the portion, pricing, and flavor, I would seek out other places before coming here. For transparency, the vegetable options were typically 7 dollars for 4 dumplings. The vegetarian options were okay. However, those in my party that ate the shrimp containing dumplings developed food poisoning. This was the only meal we had had at the point of developing symptoms. Those who had eaten the shrimp had even noted a weird feeling in their stomach, which proceeded to throwing up. If you're coming to eat here, just be careful.
