Golden Scoop

This comment is for food only as I had someone do the pickup. The two-item combo is $11.99 and five-piece wing is $10.38, not a bad deal given the inflation era we have been living in. We ordered: Combo 1: Fried rice/Singaporean noodle half half, Orange chicken, Spicy fish tofu. They all have excellent tastes and texture. The fish and tofu has a little numbing pepper in it which tastes legit and I really like it. Combo 2: Chow Mein, mixed veggie, black pepper chicken, salt pepper shrimp. Again, the taste hit the spot. The shrimp is crispy enough to chew and eat the shell too. 5-piece wings: the wings are crispy outside and juicy inside. The original flavor makes it mild and not overall salty. Perfect for fried chicken. In my opinion, the food is much better than Panda Express as they are less greasy and way less saltier. If you crave for a quick bite of fast food Chinese, I would highly recommend Golden Scoop!

We're from out of town and happened to stop in right at the lunch rush. Despite that, we got our food extremely fast and experienced great service! The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We forgot to take pictures of the food before we started eating because it looked so tasty! We'll definitely be coming back here again before we leave town! Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but it just depends on what's available when you get here. Plenty of parking within walking distance though. Excellent food, fabulous service, and great price. Highly recommended for your top-notch American Chinese!

Tigawok Mini Bowl - Sawtelle

For value, it’s no contest. The food is very good for small plates that are $3.99. You get to try a bunch of plates and be satisfied. Nothing is blow ya out the water but solid to great all around: egg plant, Thai basil is pretty awesome, tofu is good but my friend loves it. Good stuff. Enjoy. 4.5 out of 5 for food but 5 out of 5 for value. Seating, limited but it’s LAX.

Tigawok does what it aims to accomplish. I ordered the orange peel chicken and rice which came out to around $7. The orange peel chicken was tasty with a cardamom like flavor and orange peels. This food reminded me of frozen food from Trader Joe’s, but again… it was tasty and affordable with a good vibe / space. I got to hand it to them. This is the future. Staff were also very friendly and helpful.

Thank you so much to “T-M”. Really enjoyed having a snack, ordered the BBQ Pork, which was hot and was enough quantity for the price. It’s a huge restaurant that have been there for over 45 years. The place was organized, could be better storage but definitely the kindness and service of Mr. T-M was making my time a better one. Definitely worth it to be there to eat your food hot enough and have a good time watching some sports while eating good Chinese food. I’ll come back soon!

Great chinese food in this neighborhood. It is certainly catered to a more American palate. Expansive menu, great location, good for large groups or a quick business lunch, and good service. The sizzling beef/ scallop and garlic peashoot were amazing. I highly suggest it.

Great food there, good service too, nice lady even when it was closed I was able to eat there a bit longer. Food isn't even that expensive even for two people. First time coming and it was great.

Been going there since I was a kid, the food is always good and the people who work there are great. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👍👍

Chinese King

Their wonton soup was awful. The soup itself had a bland taste and on top of that the broccoli Wasn’t even cooked so it was very hard. The meat didn’t come inside of the noodle but instead it was falling out or not even in the noodle. If you want a good wonton soup I suggest going to Long Beach Thai in DTLB, or Oishi Teriyaki and Sushi in Paramount. Their Chinese food is OK. Out of 5 I would give it a 3.

Go to Mamas.. is the best to get place to eat Chinese food from. The service and servings qty are great .

A&W Seafood Restaurant

I recently order to go there, and it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu offered a delightful variety of authentic Chinese dishes, making it hard to choose. I opted for the spicy Chicken and fish.both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of spice, while the fish were tender and delicious. The service was impeccable; our server was attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, enhancing the overall dining experience. To top it all off, the prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service. I left feeling satisfied and eager to return. Whether you're a fan of Chinese cuisine or trying it for the first time, AW is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

We went there this afternoon for Dim Sum. I hadn’t been back to this place since Covid, and was shocked to see how run down it has become. The service was very nice and professional. The prices were decent. The Dim Sum was way too limited and no cart. It just doesn’t have the great dim sum vibe. Even the waitress said, come back and order a bugger dish, it is way better than dim sum. Which was too bad, because dim sum was our interest.

Tasty Goody

I hadn’t eaten here in almost 10 years and I’m sad to say I haven’t missed out. The food had very little flavor, not what it used to be. The spicy wings tasted burnt, I’m surprised they served that. You can see by the pictures there is no chili flakes or anything on them. They were delicious 10 years ago. You can tell they’ve been refried. The katsu chicken also was overcooked and had a burnt flavor. Either change the oil more often or close down. Horrible. The only thing edible on the 4 combos I bought was the chow mein, everything else was bad.

I went here after work with my coworker and let's just say that the food is the bomb! I was hungry af so I ordered the combo c with some egg rolls on the side. It was really good.

Wok Master

I love this restaurant. I have been going here for over 20 years. My family has grown up on Wok Master any time I give them a choice when we're in Pasadena this place is going to win hands down. The food is great, and the service is good, and yes, the picture is of sweet and sour shrimp, and it is YUMMY. The ruff part is that sometimes the parking can get limited, so be prepared . They do offer lunch specials until 4 pm, and family meals and the restaurant itself is always clean.

Little hole in the wall that’s a tofu gem in Pasadena. I always go for the orange tofu and the salt & pepper tofu (crispy and salty, love it). It comes with white rice and is enough to feed two people twice. $35 for two plates is reasonable in Pasadena. I usually take it to go but recently ate it at the location and the service needs to be turned up a notch, at least refill my water once. Great options for vegans, especially since they in the same lot as Drink Erva who serves Yerba mate drinks. Happy Munchies, @aVeganAndHer

Had eggplant& tofu, also green beans & chicken. Wanted more variety. It was good.

Wa Wok

The food was cold and overcooked. I wanted the teriyaki wings they sent teriyaki chicken instead. Uber Eats charged my card 49.00 for a 20.70 meal. These rideshare and restaurants need to put some respect on customer service and our money. Stay woke, fam, and stay safe out here. God bless you all!

DA BEST!!! Chinese food in town. I recommend this place if you are a local or passing by. The food is made fresh, I love the chow mein and the spicy shrimp with a Thai tea to wash it down. Can’t go wrong with Wa Wok, they load up your plate. The staff is nice, and it’s somewhere you can sit and eat in peace. This place always hits the spot, definitely one of my favorite.
