DongTing Noodle

food was good. however, i ordered the noodle soup with the pork. based on the menu, i had the misimpression that it would be at least a bit spicy, but it turned out not spicy at all. it was still delicious but it was just surprising to me. the side dishes were quite average. the atmosphere was ok. they had some cute and creative decorative menus and a funny (chinese) sign in the bathroom. although we went in on a sat, it was quite empty somehow.

Good atmosphere and vibes—‘perfect lunch spot in sawtelle for that beef noodle soup craving you’ve been thinkin about. I’ve actually tried this place dine in and out! The wood ear x innards x tofu skin salad is so mouth watering— spicy and flavorful. The noodle soups come with large portion and the flavor is so so good (for dine in)— I think the noodle soup delivery just doesn’t hit the same— but still tasty!! The meat is always delicious and so are the noodles :) The 盐酥鸡 here— my gawdddd chefs kiss THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. The right about of crispy textured and the perfect savory spicy notes that makes you want to literally inhale it. You can’t deny how good it is and they really give the basil to ya too— the Chinese broccoli as a side dish is also solid choice 👍 The beef noodle soups alone is about 18-19 bucks I think? So I would say the meal can easily be 20-30 bucks depending on what sides you got to order with. But if you’ve got a small stomach— bring a pal and split a bowl!! Will totes come back for other dishes 10000/10!!💫💫💫💫💫

I love the black pepper chicken and orange chicken. These are my favorites here the chow mein is authentic. The servers are very generous and usually hook you up a good portion. They even have a family deal where you buy three plates you get the fourth for free! I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves Chinese food!

Not bad. You need to stop by between 12 to 12:45, otherwise the food won't be hot. But the portion size is good and the egg rolls are more than decent. I like the fact that they have a water dispenser with glasses. If they had white pepper as a table condiment I'd give them five stars.

I ordered Szechuan chicken and shrimp fried rice. The broccoli and vegetable add-ins in the Szechuan chicken were great and fresh, but the chicken itself was a bit mushy. It just didn’t have the texture of chicken, which was a little offputting. I ordered takeout, but the service was decent.

We came for their lunch special. Portions are huge! We ordered eggplant and lo mein with chicken which came with a delicious egg roll and your choice of soup and a side of fried rice or steamed rice. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Chef Ming's

Heard about this place from a Chinese food travel blogger on 小红书(little red book) chinese social media. So being in Beverly Hills for a visit I decided to pop in and try some dim sum as was talked about. I got number 8 steamed dim sum combination. Excellent as far as that goes! Grabbed some almond cookies on the way out so unsure of taste. Friendly staff and nice service for eating in. It's quaint and has the feel of a hidden gem chinese restaurant with lots of western faves. Definitely a good idea if you are alone on a Sunday night and hungry in LA.

The crispy tangerine beef was so good! Not many places offer crispy beef so we were ecstatic to find one and it did not disappoint. The portion fed both me and my partner for around 20$ which is a steal in my opinion.

I’m not sure if some of the reviews are fake or paid but this restaurant despite the nice people working in it, it’s completely and utterly disgusting and to be closed immediately. Absolutely tasteless and chewy, had to spit all of the beef I tried out, Horrible food. What a shame. Really terrible. I just spent ..$73 to throw everything in the trash. It was not edible. The people are nice but the food sucks. Really really sucks. Update, a couple of hours after tasting the food I got sick from it.

Ordered takeaway from here and the food was delicious. My wife got the tangerine chicken and it was some of the best I've tasted. My sweet and sour pork was also delicious and very fresh tasting despite the car ride back to the house. The rice and other dishes were also extremely tasty. I wish I lived closer because I'd definitely be eating here regularly. Prices were reasonable compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area, which overall are quite high nowadays.

Wok On Fire

It is take out or delivery only. I said Happy New Year's to the people looking for my order and got no response back. Kind of odd and RUDE. I told the lady my name before I left to run errands and two guys told me that there was no name on the order and that's why they couldn't find it. 🙄 The eggplant was drowned in excruciatingly sweet sauce 😬 The chicken wings were great though 👍

This place has some good tasting food. I was surprised how much it hold flavor. Not too salty and they made it just how I ask. Rice noodles, with grilled shrimp, extra veggies with broccoli, carrot, bean sprouts, green onion. It was crunchy and prices are reasonable. I'll try something else the next time I go. The woman with the cute dark hair and haircut prep my to go. She was really nice too.

Dim Sum House

The only dim sum place I can find in West LA! Big portions and average prices. The congee was a bit much! Lots of table! Came here for lunch and wasn’t busy. Liked the shrimp rice rolls. I would say the foods were okay! Not too bad!

Feel like eating some dim sum and ordered online from this place. I'm so surprised, the dim sums were amazing. Arrived still hot as I stay nearby. It's so good that we couldn't stop eating before I realized I haven't taken pictures 😅 And oh wow the portions are so big. Will order again.

Awesome Chinese food! I had sweet and sour chicken! Yummy! This place was totally amazing and we really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it. You will not be dissatisfied or disappointed. Excellent old school Chinese not some creepy panda express fast food junk really good stuff.

Stopped in for lunch during the week because I work close by. It was quite busy when I arrived for a 1 PM lunch, but was able to be seated right away. Service took a bit to arrive and be able to place the order, but the food items arrived out fairly quickly. It’s not very large on the inside only a handful of tables and booths available. It’s in a small strip mall just east of the 405 and has a lot of free parking spaces available with its attached parking lot. The menu is fairly large and they do have a lot of great options, and overall the food is good however, not great. Los Angeles has a lot of really great Chinese restaurants and this is definitely a good one, but there are other better ones in town. I ordered an iced tea, but received a hot tea, which was fine, because I can go either way. I started with the Har Gow and it actually arrived after my entrée did, but they were good and larger than I was expecting. For my entrée, I chose the Beef and Broccoli and thought it was pretty good however, a bit more expensive than I was expecting for what you get. One of my favorite Chinese restaurants is Chin Chin in West Hollywood, and they charge only a few dollars more for theirs so I felt the pricing here is a bit too high. Overall, I would recommend for a lunch option, especially if you are in the area. It’s not my favorite, but it’s certainly worth trying.

Xi'an Beverly Hills

We went there with a large group and the food was very good. This is American-Chinese food. Not authentic, but good. Drinks are also relatively good and the few we tasted were yummy. Service was a bit slow, utensils were not as clean as we would have liked l. We had to keep asking for knives, chopsticks,….. There is no valet parking and the street parking can be difficult. Fortunately there is a city parking structure on cannon that is a very short walk to the restaurant. We found the prices to be a bit high. Will go there for a special occasions only.

I normally go with clients from Beverly Hills to Xian. I like the food, it's OK. The reason for my 1 star review is because I realized I had dropped my ear buds. I called and the person who answered said he would ask, a minute later came back saying they were not there. I told him my app was telling me they were there and his reply was "and they might be but we are too busy, you can come and look for them". Mind you, the restaurant is tiny, I knew where I had sat so it was a matter of giving a quick look. I live two hours away and don't go often. I missed the window where they would still ping,

I attended a banquet here. I was very satisfied with the food. Very flavorful. It was family-style serving. There were 8 of us at our table. We were all full, yet there were still plenty of leftovers that we packed. 😁 Service was quite slow. We all had to request a water refill repeatedly. The AC wasn't cold enough. There's paid parking right next to the site. Flat rate of $5 on weekends. I'll surely go back and I recommend the place.

This is a good place. I personally prefer their branch in Monterrey Park because they use traditional Dim Sum carts and offer more affordable prices. That said, it’s definitely a good option for enjoying authentic Dim Sum in the area if you’re craving it. Be sure to check out their menu to see if their offerings appeal to you!

Hu's Szechwan Restaurant

A great restaurant for the best authentic Chinese food. My favorite restaurant in the LA area. The customer service is always excellent ! I love the everything on the menu so many options. If you are in the area give them an opportunity and it will change your mind.

We love Chinese food. Just moved here to the area and tried this place, right next to our building. Food was pretty good. Orange chicken and honey walnut shrimp. Shrimp was way too mayoey. Food prices are absurd. Paid 60 bucks for fried rice, orange chicken, and the shrimp. Barely fed two people. Definitely won’t be back. Food not worth the price.

Mr. Rice

I and my friends went here frequently when I was still studying at UCLA. We sometimes ordered delivery as well. My favorite dishes were the braised chicken, and tomato noodles soup. And my favorite drink was the mung bean drink which helped me cool down my body. The restaurant was quite small, but the waiters were very nice, and the food portion was big also. I would recommend it

Tried double spicy fat beef noodles. It tastes ok. But because of person preference I would like something less salty. I may want to try pig feet rice next time.
