Golden Dragon Restaurant
I’ve been going here for years even before they moved from across the street. Ivy and her family are great people and it’s nice to support a family owned restaurant. Their customer service is spot on and they’re always family, nice and helpful. I always get the Mongolian Beef extra sauce & extra spicy & My son always gets Orange Chicken. Their food has always been great and I honestly have no complaints. I highly recommend this Golden Dragon for some great Chinese Food.
The food wasn't bad. The portions were huge. My husband and I had lunch. Sweet and sour chicken/pork. I liked the fact it wasn't drenched in sauce not too sweet. Could have used a little more spice. I wish the egg rolls more like an egg roll as opposed to a spring roll. It's very casual inside. Not too many decorations. Walls are very plain.
Jade Palace Restaurant
We've always heard great things about Jade Palace so were really excited to finally try it. I ordered pickup on their website which was very easy and my food was ready in 20 minutes on a busy Saturday night. The girl at the front was super organized and friendly so 5 stars for their pickup order process! Unfortunately we were a little let down by the food. It was a little on the pricey side. $6.00 for one New York Egg Roll, although it's much larger than your average egg roll, is still way too much. The protein dishes are much more expensive than some other nice comparable Chinese restaurants in the area by $5-$6 each dish which definitely adds up. The New York Egg Roll and BBQ Pork Fried Rice were pretty good. The Sweet and Sour Chicken and the Orange Chicken were good but not great. Due to the prices and food not living up to the hype, I don't think we'll be back. But, they do have lots of other options on the menu that may have been better.
Food isn’t bad but the pecking duck should not be worth 65+ for what they give… so disappointing… doesn’t even come with buns, came with wonton chips and tortillas were added to my bag. Won’t be back. Great place for older rich folks who don’t know much about Asian cuisine.
Dragon Palace
This restarting is excellent. The food is fantastic and the service is prompt and courteous. Everything is made in the kitchen fresh. The appetizers (especially crab puffs) are so good! The dishes are served with large, easy to share portions. Just left and already looking forward to catering our office lunch with Dragon Palace next week.
This was my first time here. I google search a Chinese restaurant near Home Depot. I had a seasonal project there and afterwards I told my helper that I would treat her for dinner. I ordered the chicken fried rice, fried dumplings, and house special chicken. The service was super fast. The service was very friendly and helpful. Very big portion on the dishes. I need a third person to finish the meal. The house special chicken was too crispy and dried. I took a few bites. It was a bit chewy. The price is reasonable. I wish I can say I love this place but I don't. I try to find new restaurant adventures. Best of luck to the restaurant owner.
Nee House Chinese Restaurant
Excellent, authentic with top rated food and service. Steve was cheerful, friendly, knowledgeable, and humble. Staff was supportive. I had Singapore noodles vegan style with snow peas, cabbage, broccoli, onions, and water chestnuts. The vegetables were tender and had a good texture, not soft or soggy. The curry was flavorful and had a subtle zing. If you like meat, it's really good as it was my favorite before going vegan. All the food here is good, and there's a reason it's voted one of the Best in the valley. This is a bustling family place much loved by locals. There were many to go orders. I went before the rush. Ample parking in a large strip mall on a busy intersection. Enjoy.
I am not the person who leaves a nasty review after one bad experience - anyone can have a bad day. But this is honestly the worst Chinese food we've ever had. Ordered take-out and it was so bad I actually returned it. Fried rice and hot-sour soup were ok - not great, but fine. The crab rangoons were literally inedible - they tasted like old crumbly dough. Bang Bang shrimp - big shrimps for sure, but hardly any flavor, really bland. Some noodle/chicken/veggie dish - a good portion but again no flavor. No sauce hardly, just super bland - not good at all. I actually returned the uneaten rangoons and the noodle dish. They weren't happy but they agreed to give me my money back for those two dishes. Guess what? Instead of refunding my money they charged me again for them! Now I have to go back in person a third time to deal with it. Now this is going to sound bad, and granted I have only been inside this restaurant one time, but when I was there there wasn't a patron in the place under 70 years old. Maybe that is why the food was so bland - they are catering to elderly people from the midwest who don't know any better. I may be wrong, just an observation.
Iron Chef
I can't say enough good things about Iron Chef, it's staff, it's manager Nicky, the chefs, and the food. We've been coming for years and always have a great experience. It's one of the more reasonably priced restaurants in Phoenix with amazing food! They outdid themselves last week when they hosted an event for our family with 35 people! The evening was handled perfectly. Our guests were surprised by the quality of food and the Sushi boat was a huge hit. Cindy and Bella were incredibly attentive during the dinner. Nicky, the manager, made all the planning leading up to the event stress free. He was very receptive with great communication. We would definitely host other events at Iron Chef and it will continue to remain one of our favorite restaurants!
This place was delicious! The food is fresh, made quickly and fairly priced with large portions. They have an all you can eat sushi menu that my dad had a blast sampling. This is the best Asian restaurant I have found in Arizona since moving here 4 years ago! We will be returning.
Veggie Village
I’ve been meaning to try this place for a while and I’m very glad I did today. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was inside and how caring the people working there are. The food was fantastic and there are plenty of options for everyone. The cream cheese crab wontons were so tasty! Has a very mom and pap feel and I loved it! If you’ve been considering checking it out do yourself a favor and just go try it.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Fantastic vegan food and drinks. Highly recommend the salt and pepper shrimp and the honeydew juice with chia seeds.
Harbor Seafood Super Buffet
The service was on point. The waitress made sure that we had all our drinks topped off and kept the plates cleared from our large group. The restaurant is super clean and beautiful! They have a wide variety of cuisine. It is cooked well and displayed nicely. Absolutely loved it here. I would recommend coming.
Food is overall great, but crab leg quality is random. I've been there a few times. Sometimes, the crab legs are good, but sometimes, they look sick and taste weird
Golden Wok Chinese Restaurant
Golden Wok is a solid choice for Asian cuisine with consistently good food and attentive service. While nothing particularly stands out as exceptional, it's a reliable spot where it's hard to go wrong with most menu items. The Orange Chicken was definitely the highlight of our visit this time. It struck that nice balance of sweet and savory, served with perfectly cooked rice. The Pork Potstickers were also pretty good, and the Egg Drop Soup delivered that comforting flavor and warmth you'd expect. The House Chow Mein was a bit plain. While not bad, it wasn't memorable enough to specifically order again. Similarly, the Thai Spicy Basil Chicken, while decent, was fairly mild on the spice level and left us wanting more spicy and flavor. Service was consistently attentive throughout our visit, with the team making sure we had everything we needed. Should you visit Golden Wok, I hope you enjoy as much as we did!
This is the new family choice it seems for birthdays, etc. The food is consistently fresh, hot, and flavorful. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It's small but, you can actually have conversation and hear what your party from across the table is saying without having to talk loud like in many other restaurants these days! Overall it's very comfortable and they make you feel at home!
Red Wok Buffet
Most of the food was either a bit too greasy or dry. Bbq short ribs were ok. Baked catfish was a bit too greasy but seasoned well. Sweet and sour chicken was ok. Bok cho was ok. Plain steamed white rice was a better choice than the fried rice. My wife enjoyed the bbq chicken. Fried rice was aesthetically unappealing and a tad too dry. Lo Mein was too greasy. Rice noodles were too greasy for my taste. The chili oil kept separating with a cloudy residue that didn't look right. The pizza my grandson had, according to him, wasn't that good. He just got steamed rice after. The rest of the food I didn't try but looked about the same, too greasy. The salad bar is just a salad bar with some decent options. Sushi was available, but I'm not a sushi lover. There was a grill, but I dont think it's open for lunch. Overall, cleanliness is average. Change the table tops. Exposed wood can hold bacteria. Men's restroom was ok. More lighting could be better in the restroom. This was my first time here and probably will be my last time. Another Chinese buffet restaurant, not remotely close to the valley with similar buffet options, was much better in the quality of their food. This place is usually busy in the evenings and weekends. Based on that I stopped in and left unsatisfied. Yet I'm positive they'll stay open. Good luck..
I like to include a Chinese Buffet for dinner when I am traveling on vacation. They have a good selection of food and it is reasonably priced. The wait staff also was attentive to my needs.
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
I like this place, tasty and large portions, everyone is welcoming and everything is clean. My suggestion is that some dishes are too sweet feels like too much sweet sauce. It’s good anyway!
Very unfortunate experience. My family and I went here for dinner at 5pm. We were the only ones in the restaurant and the kitchen was preparing a few to go orders but absolutely dead inside. We ordered the feast meal. The dumplings it came with were served to us frozen. The girl working the front came with a bowl took them off the plater and took them back to the kitchen to finish cooking them. I thought this seemed like a sanitary issue since it was already at our table and touched by our fork and we definitely couldn’t eat them being that they are frozen. The feast meal also comes with donuts and a frosting. We were given a frosting that was already used, mind you this plater cost about $50 plus. Again the lady just starred at me and has nothing to say so I proceeded to let her know I was finished with this horrible experience and I will post a review to make sure other people are aware of the service and food being given. Nothing nada no apology refund nothing. Took the used frosting and walked away.
Clever Koi
This is a good fusion spot. The bao appetizer was not the best. The chicken was delicious and cooked well, but the Korean pork and the pork belly were fried to a flavor limiting crisp. The XO Noodles and the Orange Chicken were delicious and a great marriage of spice and fresh ingredients.
We were on a road trip driving through Phoenix and stopped by this place since it has decent rating eye catching food pics. However we ended up disappointed. The food was mediocre to bad. There was a lack of flavor in all the main dishes, but the calamari fries were especially salty. There was a sign that says “voted best ramen in Arizona” by some newspaper in the front of the store, so we got excited and ordered a ramen. If this tonkotsu ramen bowl were the best in Arizona then I feel bad for the state of Arizona. The broth was bland and the meat was so dry. The cocktail was pretty good though, bravo to the bartenders! Service was nice but slow. We were late on our itinerary so we tried to eat fast and continue our trip, but after we finished eating, our waitress was no where to be found. We waited for a whole 10 minutes before we coud hand her our card, then another 5 minutes to get it back
China Chef
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. The Mongolian Beef I ordered had barely any beef. It had over ¾ lb of onions and grease. It was bland as can be, and not spicy at all. Panda would've been better. The only reason we even tried the place, was because most places were closed for Easter. We will NEVER go back!!
Order places at 1600, was told would be ready by 1700. Get there at 1715 due to work, and food still not ready. Wait 45mins!!!!!! For RAGOONS THAT WERE IN SOMEONE ELSE'S ORDER! The 2 wanna be cholas in the front have horrible customer service and communication skills. And the lady, who was packing the orders and put our ragoons for 45 MINS into someone else's order, doesn't have a busy bone in her body. From eating here weekly!!!! We are done! This was by far the worse service we have ever received from this place! And we will not be returning! Thank you for this!
