Yoshi's Restaurant
YOSHI’S: Passable eats minus the complimentary egg roll. My teriyaki chicken bowl was just okay - not bad, but nothing special. But at 8 bucks plus a tip for a (small) bowl, a complementary egg roll wouldn’t have been too big an ask. Amirite? The interior of Yoshi’s is thirsty for an update but is very clean, while the exterior looks run down and in need of a shiny new box of nails and fresh coat of paint. Fun fact: most modern eggroll recipes don’t use eggs!
This food is fast but wasn’t really appetizing for what I ordered, chicken was over cooked and too overpowering with the sauce. Served was courteous and pleasant. They call you by a number verses your name!
Big Rice Kitchen
Never knew this place was here, and I have been living in the area for a LONG TIME. Pros: Lunch specials are available, a huge selection of food items, the food was tasty, food is cooked to order, good-sized portions, and customer-friendly. Cons: I placed a phone order but ended up waiting 30 minutes after "checking in," which was already 30 minutes after I ordered. I understand they might have had people not pick up their phone orders, so be aware that it is best to place the order in person. Also, when I went there was no inside waiting; the restaurant is closed off to the public (at least when I went). Other than that, I enjoyed the food, it was pleasant.
Just simply amazing. If I could eat here everyday I would. Love their hot and sour soup and orange beef!
Hing Loon Chinese Express
I 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 had been here in the past and had a good impression, however, after today's performance I can say this is the worst order of Chinese food I've ever had. The shrimp was slimy and not well cleaned The beef was chewy and tasted like shrimp. Oddly enough, and food overall with subpar at best. I wish I had four hands so I could give this place four thumbs down 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾
I can't believe this was only $7 this is the best lunch special out of anywhere around
Dragon City Chinese Restaurant
Plenty of parking. Great service & great food. I have the Walnut Shrimp every time.
Great place for lunch. They just need to be consistent on if you can substitute an egg roll instead of a spring roll on the lunch special. It really depends who the manager is on duty. Willing to pay the extra price for a better meal experience. Also, it would be great if they added veggies to the general Tao's chicken
Best Wok Chinese Restaurant
I really enjoyed my visit here. The 🥦🥡🥢food was tasty, the service was great and the prices were also reasonable. Their portion sizes 🥣are pretty big for their plates. I had left overs after I went to my hotel 🛏️ room.
First time at this restaurant. Foods fresh extremely good. Most importantly this facility is clean and their rating for the Arizona Health Department is all. A’s. Meaning they follow all guidelines for food preparation food holding food cooling food cooking their food was fresh. They had great customer service and greeted you when you walked in the door. They have pictures on the wall which is different than a lot of other Chinese food restaurants because everybody wants to be able to see their food when they order.. Looking
Little Dragon Chinese Restaurant
We had ordered take out. First time here, unfortunately will be last. Problem items. 1 war wonton soup - literally tastes like water and the wontons are way overdone. We ordered 2 32 oz. Servings. 2 Mongolian Beef. The serving size was great but unfortunately ate 1 bite. The beef was “slimey” feeling in your mouth. So bad. 3 lo mein chicken. Too salty and the noodles are way overcooked. Didn’t eat either. 4. Fried shrimp appetizer - tastes like was cooked in old oil. This was a waste of $65. That is a hefty amount to throw it all away.
I ordered Cashew Shrimp, and Mongolian Beef. The Cashew Shrimp was good (average). The Mongolian Beef is nothing more than long cooked beef fat. 2 other people tasted it, and said, "it taste like it's been sitting in grease". There is so much fat it made me Nauseous. This is not a place I will come back to. I hope others have a better experience than me. M.L.C.
Mandarin Super Buffet
This was our first time here. The service was awesome!! We were checked on very often & our finished plates were taken quickly & politely. The food was very FRESH & the employees were cleaning any drips of food that spilled from trays, tables. There is a VERY WIDE SELECTION to choose from. Delicious food, not to mention it's very affordable. If you haven't been here. Give them your time, you won't be disappointed.
This is my all time favorite buffet!! The options are amazing. This buffet is very consistent with the food and the service which I really appreciate. The staff is really polite. I love eating here! Best buffet. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a good buffet spot.
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
My family was in Phoenix for the week. We ordered delivery to the hotel we were at (7 minutes away). The delivery took almost 2 hours. The food was cold, they did not bring half of the order, and the food was terrible. The chicken was overcooked and dry, the noodles were plain with no seasoning or sauce, and the amount of food was not enough for even one meal. It was approximately $16/plate, plus a delivery fee. Very disappointing.
Ordered steak... forced to eat chicken even after paying extra for the steak... Maybe they do deserve the 25% below minimum wage that was proposed.
KWAN & WOK CHINESE FAST FOOD
I've been dining at this restaurant for a couple years now the food is always amazing. Customer service is always on point. It looks like they did change the menu a bit but the food is still delicious. If you haven't checked this place out you must stop I highly recommend!
I really liked this place! I heard it was having a reopening and that they offered more Vietnamese food. My partner and I got the Lunch menu. You get the entree, fried rice, and a spring roll with a drink. I had the Shrimp with Cashew and my partner had the Shrimp with Lobster Sauce. We also shared an iced Vietnamese coffee which was strong, creamy and tasty! I wish the serving was larger but I liked it still. My food was hot and flavorful and not overwhelming. The shrimp was cooked well and I loved the veggies that were fresh and cooked perfectly. The rice was also good too. The drink selection is limited to different cans and bottles of soda/tea, but we also got cups of ice to pour them in. The place is unpretentious in its furnishings which I liked! They also give you large servings, I almost didn't finish mine. I want to try the sandwiches next along with the Vietnamese fried rice. Definetly recommend this place, and you should also try the other places nearby.
Chen & Wok
The food here always hit , the potstickers and crab puffs are my favorite!!!!!! So much flavor and fresh 🥵🥵🥵 the food energy people just amazing . So much love made with this food orange chicken The noodles rice even the sweet-and-sour sauce just made with so much finesse
I was hoping this would be my new spot. The food is soggy and lacks flavor. The chicken is odd - tough and tastes like they threw anything into the batter and fried it. Wonton soup is decent. The broth tastes like boiled cabbage. The prices are great which so what drew me in.
Ming-Gee Chinese Food Restaurant
The food here is really delicious… we enjoyed eating here but, the interior was disgusting.. the blinds were filthy. Stains of some sort maybe grease.. the walls had stains too even the ceiling. Other than that the service was amazing, food was fresh and hot… portions are huge enough to share or take some extra home with you for later. Will be back but I do recommend those window blinds, walls and the ceilings get touched up a bit..
I've been in Phoenix for almost 30 years, and somehow, I only just found Ming Gee! This place is such a hidden gem. They've got a small dim sum menu--not a ton of options, but hey, it's better than nothing, and they were actually pretty tasty. If you're looking for a fancy spot with trendy decor, Ming Gee isn't it. But if what you want is just good, authentic Chinese food, you'll be happy here. Every dish we tried was delicious, and I'm so glad I finally gave it a shot. It's surprising to find this kind of quality Chinese food over on the west side--just judging by the outside, you'd never expect it. Plus, I went all out and ordered a roasted pig for Thanksgiving, so stay tuned if you're curious about how that turns out with Ming Gee's touch! Updated: OMG! My family and friends absolutely loved the roasted pig! It was such a fun and delicious experience! Who needs turkey when you have a 60-pound roasted pig for Thanksgiving?
Jumbo Chinese Restaurant
We stopped in for dinner. The wontons were NOT cream cheese with crab meat. I'm still not sure what was in them. They were bland, overcooked and had something chewy inside. We both had chicken meals. Both of which had dry, overcooked meat. The fried rice we ordered, was nothing more than white rice soaked with soy sauce. We will never be back. Safford needs a GOOD Chinese restaurant.
I'd prefer a bigger buffet. There just aren't many dishes made here for the buffet because it's such a small area. They'd do much better if they had a bigger place so they could provide more options for people. Also adding a grill so people can pick and choose their own meat vegetables and sauces would significantly increase their business.
