Great Wall Chinese restaurant
I really wanted to like this restaurant. The egg rolls were great, and good egg rolls are hard to find. The pork fried rice was tasty. I ordered take out at 1:30 pm thinking I was getting lunch prices. When I got home I found they charged my card $43.00. (It should have been about $23.00, which is what the woman told me at the counter when I paid.) When I called, they said they had given me the dinner portions of pork fried rice, and that was why it was so expensive. They refused to refund the difference. The man I spoke to said they would refund my tip. What? I tipped them 15% on what I thought was a 23.00 charge. They over charged me almost $20.00. As much as I liked their food, I won’t go back. And I guess I’ll have to keep an eye on my credit card for a while and see what else pops up.
Best Chinese restaurant! I really like the fried shrimps, it’s very crispy and delicious. Make sure you try the beef chow fun, honey glazed walnut shrimp and Singapore rice noodles!
Canton Wong
Ok here's what I need to say. Don't judge this book by its cover. The food is perfect. The service is service. The atmosphere is non existent. Give it a try and leave your review. I will be eating here again ....when in Rome... literally oh yeah there is no dine in.
Always made fresh! So I do recommend calling in to place your order ahead of time over the phone so you don't wait while it's being cooked. Good portions. Recommend the orange chicken meal or half fish w fries.
Lin's Grand Buffet
So I looked at the baked salmon and touched it with the spoon, and it looked very dry. Other than that, all the other food looked fresh. It was very fancy inside and it didn’t match the humans that worked there.
It had ample options for me to find gf tasty treats although they did not recommend it. I can handle traces of gluten so fresh prawns, sushi, baked ribs, and steamed fish were all great. Seniors discount helped too. Next time I’ll try the Mongolian grill.
Thai Recipe Bistro
Checked out Thai Recipe Bistro last night, and even after all these years, it remains one of my favorite spots for Thai food in Phoenix. The menu has shifted a bit over time, but the flavor? Still absolutely on point. My friend and I shared the orange chicken and the pad see ew, along with some edamame to start. Everything was delicious—the kind of comfort food that hits just right. And the portions? Massive. Easily could’ve fed three or four people, no problem. The atmosphere is very casual—no frills, just solid food and friendly service. If you’re looking for a low-key place with consistently great Thai dishes, this is it. I’ll definitely be back (again and again).
First time here. Tip: when you walk in you have to write yourself on waitlist, they don’t do it for you. We waited about 45 minutes to be seated. It was very busy and the employees were doing their best to serve food. They even have a robot delivering food. Crab puffs were good and the sweet chili sauce was very light. The yellow curry was thick and sweet. I got mine with beef and it was super tender. My husband got the pineapple fried rice with seafood. It was very seasoned and the seafood was marinated well. Thai tea was awesome and my husband got a drink called the watermelon jolly rancher.
Panda Express
Love the design of this new Panda store. Quick and friendly service, fresh and tasty foods, great ambiance. The manager in charge was very friendly and helpful.
Decent Panda experience, but would suggest they do a better job of keeping items available during busy hours. I've been here twice now and both times they have either been out of my preferred selection or I received the last helping (which can run a little on the cold side). Mind you, this was between 5 and 6pm, which I'd assume would be a busy time for them. This is a problem simply solved by having the servers on the line recognize that they need to be asking the cooks to fire entrées with only a few servings left. It wasn't until I took the last serving that I heard them ask to fire more. It's also soooo frustrating to be literally at the counter ordering and seeing someone from the drive-thru scoop out the last helping of the item you were going to order. Again, simple recognition of need would solve this issue. Additionally, management, or whomever is responsible for ordering items, needs to stay on top of having ingredients on hand for popular dishes. I was told they were "out" of the sauce required to make more honey sesame chicken. I was told this after watching the person in front of me take the last portion available 😬 Not a pleasant dining experience.
Dragon Flame Chinese Grill 龙焱烧烤
Since we only stopped in for the viral desserts I'm going to leave my review at an average rating for the food. It was the daughter's birthday, so we wanted a special treat for her, and what better than this cute little pug. The presentation is awesome, as it comes in a gift box, and the detail of it is impressive. Since it's a coconut milk cake it's not super flavorful, but still a fun experience for the money :). I didn't get the other dessert (dragon's breath) photos but that one tasted good and was another fun experience for us. Be different and try someplace new.
Smallish spot, but when we went it wasn’t busy so we didn’t have to fight for a place. We ordered the cucumber salad, eggplant, and around the world chicken. Everything was well seasoned and this was one of my favorite cucumber salad spots, which is high praise coming from me.
Rice Paper Vietnamese Restaurant
The place is very nice inside and outside seating area is decent size. Right next to the street, but they have shrubs in front that cover the street pretty well. Nice, cozy area. The food is good. The fried tofu and the spicy adamane are delicious. All their Pho is really good. I love that they bring the vegetables fresh for you to throw into the hot bowl. Sapporo beer was nice and cold how it should be on tap.
This place has the BEST and most unique spring rolls. Everything is is made to order and so flavorful. The service has been great and there never is pressure to get certain items, they don’t get annoyed with questions and have no issues with leaving out certain ingredients. The sauces are delicious but the hidden gem is their asian pesto sauce. Ask for a side of this with your order and you won’t regret it. This place is 100% worth their prices
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Bathroom was a total disaster. Even dust on towel and soap dispenser so who knows when this bathroom was last cleaned. At least the inside of toilet bowl appeared ok. Fortunately, restaurant itself was clean. Surprised that either owner or employee who served us had family members over and eating with them at table next to us. I rarely give such a harsh review. But, this place should be shut down.
Do not order the orange chicken or sesame chicken! It’s definitely frozen and prepackaged- both tasted terrible. I’m not sure why this restaurant has good reviews, the food is bad and the service is horrible. The waitress (older lady) was so rude! Please stay away from this place - PandaExpress is 💯times better than this establishment! All of these good reviews are probably fake.
Phở Thành Restaurant
I really enjoyed this place. I sat at a table next to an older couple. The way the server chatted with them you could tell they were regulars. If I lived closer I would be a regular. This was my first time here. I'll definitely stop again if I'm in the area. I got the number 26. Holy cow was it good.
The reviews are true… the staff is dismissive. Don’t look you in the eye. Barely listen and act impatient when you ask questions. Smells bad in the building and it looks extremely dirty on the inside. The only reason I gave it a three star is because I was with my best friend and son (yes it’s my best friends favorite spot for pho and spring rolls. no judgement here lol) the grilled pork spring rolls were good. My Filet mignon pho was probably skirt steak. It was insanely boiled and the meat was grey. Will only go back if my best friend makes me 😂🤣
Chen's Chinese Bistro
Excellent dining experience today. Went in for lunch, and was greeted by the host who promptly sat us and took drink orders. We ordered off the lunch special menu, all the items the table ordered came out hot, fresh, correctly and large portions. The only thing to comment was a little too much sauce on the entrees for our personal taste. Otherwise everything else prepared was excellent. The deal for lunch is fantastic with soup, egg roll and a cream cheese wonton. Our server was incredibly attentive and brought everything we asked for in an extremely timely manner. We had a tree nut allergy with us and they were sure to share that the plate was made with care. Excellent place.
It's fair food. Giving 4 stars instead of 3 fire very nice service and good working people. It is very typical American Chinese fare in my opinion. General tsos chicken was also a bit unconventional which I enjoyed!
Kim’s Chinese Kitchen
The best fried rice I've ever tried, highly recommended. Excellent service, the old reviews are completely irrelevant. It may not be the best place, but it's clear that the place offers a takeout service.
Loved everything! Except the egg drop flower soup was a bit too sour for my husband's liking and my Kung po Cabbage order was okay never had it before it's just vegetables with some type of soy special sauce it's okay 👍👌 loved the lo mein and fried rice , order was 15 min wait, cost total was 23 dollars for my family , I would come again and try something different 🙂
May Garden Restaurant
You will not leave this place hungry. I've been coming here since I was a kid. I love their huge portions. My favorite is the sesame chicken meatballs and sweet and sour pork.
It isn't the absolute worst I've ever had, but darn close. Very few choices, food was borderline at best. Way overpriced for the selection and quality. Most of the meat choices were chewy, the egg roll was just bad. As was the "egg foo young ". The only thing palatable was the cheese puff. A crab rangoon without the crab. I would say definitely pass on this place.
