Bento Note (Record)
I bought a Monbento bento box on a whim a year ago, and I didn't know I would last so long. I used to make a bento once a day, but five or six times a week, and it was a bit painful. Later, I slowly let go of my prejudice against overnight dishes (mainly lazy) and started to make Meal Prep, and I only need to spend two days a week making bento, and my life has become much better, haha .

Bento boxes are generally divided into three parts: staple food (carbohydrates), meat (protein), and vegetables (dietary fiber). Ratio: 1:1:2.

Eggs are a good helper for making bento.

Staple food: rice, multigrains (black rice, purple rice, quinoa, couscous rice or brown rice, etc.), pumpkin, sweet potato, corn, pasta, beans, etc.
Actually, pasta is not particularly suitable for bento boxes, and the texture can be a little strange, but you can try it once in a while (spiral pasta is more suitable for bento). -
Protein: beef, pork, chicken, eggs, tofu, bean curd, etc.

Vegetables: Carrots (all-purpose match!) ), tomatoes, broccoli, cauliflower, okra, zucchini, green peppers, bell peppers, cabbage, cabbage, shiitake mushrooms, mushrooms, onions, corn, celery, edamame, potatoes, etc.

Sometimes if you're lazy, you can garnish it with meat floss, sausage, or braised tofu .

Mixed with some coarse grains, corn, red beans and so on, it is not only healthier but also tastes better.

Black rice, purple rice, brown rice and other coarse grains can be mixed with white rice, washed and soaked for a while, and then steamed in the pot for more than 20 minutes to half an hour (if you are worried about whether the grains are cooked thoroughly, you can steam them for a while or simmer), this method is very suitable for people who do not have a rice cooker (such as me), and it is convenient and fast.

Occasionally, you can buy some canned beans (red beans, black beans, chickpeas, etc.) and go well with white rice.

Chicken thighs are definitely the best meat for bento, not one (for me). You can also enjoy the feeling of munching on chicken thighs when you eat a bento, and you want to add food every minute!

Reheating can indeed cause vitamin loss, so you can also prepare some fruit for a snack in addition to the bento, or add a little more vitamin (or vitamin tablets) for breakfast and dinner.
