Helen's Asian Kitchen

Authentic, wholesome flavors - a hidden gem for chinese food in Columbus! We came on a quiet Sunday evening and ordered the 小笼包, 干锅花菜, and 红烧肉 and they were simply delicious!! Full of flavor, not too salty, with rich spices and perfectly cooked veggies, and very generous portions. Very thoughtful and attentive service as well. Highly recommend!

We used to go there a lot. Decided to try it tonight again… ordered a side of rice & found a baby roach in it. 🙈 Called in and told them & they said they’ll talk to the kitchen. It’s a big health violation. Makes me sad because their food used to be so good! Hope they get this problem taken care of asap!

Golden Phoenix Restaurant

This gem is located on the north side, right past Morse road and Cleveland Ave. This establishment has no connection to the China Phoenix located on the east side of Columbus. The best way for me to explain the Golden Phoenix (also known as “The Phoenix”) is an urban Chinese restaurant with good drinks and quick food for the mature crowd! The spicy wings are the most popular entree on the menu, consisting of 10-12 full wings fried and topped with spicy oil sauce, jalapeños, and green onions. The spicy lo mein and spicy chicken fried rice are great additions (please see photos for live footage). A great place to stop and grab a bite after work or on the weekends. There is usually nice R&B or soul music playing at the front of the bar. There is also space to rent for events and / or parties. For two orders of spicy wings, a side of spicy lo-mein and a cocktail, the bill came to a total of $52.

I have had a hell of a time finding good Chinese and I drove my butt 35 mins to this place and as of right now, this is my go to place. We ordered 77$ in food, you can see the whole order in the photos. We had mongolian beef, sweet n sour pork, shrimp fried rice, crab rangoon, egg rolls, chicken mei fun, and honey chicken. Lets talk about the positives: the sweet n sour is the first place i have found around here that makes it with the pineapple and peppers to flavor it, it's not just red goo. The hot mustard(ask for the homemade!) was awesome! It dang near shot my sinuses to space. I've only found sauces like this in Chicago, so I'm super happy to find this. The mei fun had a ton of flavor and came in a huge portion. The mongolian beef was really tasty but they didn't even fill up the container, for the price and size of the container it should have been packed tight. The shrimp fried rice was packed in well and had tons of shrimp. The sweet and sour pork and honey chicken were both really good as well. My only complaint for the sweet n sour pork is the container was barely full. Most places i order this from fill it all the way up where the lid of the container is usually taped up to hold all the meat in.. The crab rangoon looked really good until i opened it, as you can see in the photo, it's kinda empty. The egg rolls were really good and had a nice flavor, and didn't taste of old oil.

J Zhen Asian Bistro & Bar

When I arrived, the man could not figure out which order was mine because they did not put names on the orders.I have eaten here several times and used to love this place. I noticed the food was changing, but my most recent experience guarantees I will never return. I picked up food on my way to work so I could eat it for lunch. I work 3rd shift. I decided to try a little after being at work for about 30 minutes. The "fried rice" was hard white rice that someone reheated in soy sauce. It had no flavor and was nothing but dark brown rice in the box. It was so hard that I wondered if it was put in a microwave. The mongolian beef had a musty taste to the meat, and the sauce was almost slimy. There is no way it was fresh. I am not sure what has changed, and if that doesn't improve, I hope they close. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

I Have Uber Eated Some Wings (this is the 2nd time) and They Were Perfectly Cooked, Consistent Flavor and Nice Portion Size!! DONT SLEEP ON J ZHENS WING SKILLS!!!

BIBIBOP Asian Grill

This location often gets busy during lunch & dinnertime but the line moves quickly and the wait isn’t too long. The food is prepared well, tastes good, and the environment is clean. The interior includes three ceilinged booths that are often taken during busier hours but are nice options for eating with others or if you want some space to yourself.

Food is decent like any other bibibop locations. I asked for a small amount of sauce, but I was still getting too much. Miso soup was so watery, it was like drinking hot water.

Little Dragons

Great service, clean restaurant, friendly people! We loved the special of the day which was a Chinese squash. Egg drop soup is good! Spicy cold cut beef with cilantro is delicious!

The walnut shrimp was delicious but odd... Shrimp cooked perfectly with lots of walnuts, but instead of either a sweet white sauce or savory brown sauce, it had mayonnaise drizzled all over the top. I have a hard time with super sweet, so it was fine, but it did strike me as a bit lazy and lacking in authenticity or flavor. The broccoli was undercooked for my taste, but the shrimp made up for it. My husband got sweet and sour chicken, and he really liked it. Both came with white rice. The crab Rangoon tasted great even though it was folded in the triangle fashion I detest. The waiter was great, and I loved the koi fish tank in the entrance.

Xi Xia Chinese Cuisine

We went here twice. The first time was a weekend late afternoon. We were the only ones there at that time. The server told us about the scanning the QR code for the menu and was super attentive. We ordered the pork rice bowl and the spicy beef noodle soup. The pork rice bowl was similar to Lu Roy Fan (Taiwanese Braised Pork Bowl) but of course a little different since I don’t think it’s supposed to be the same exact thing. It was perfectly savory and sweet. The meat was tender and the sauce was excellent with rice. The beef noodle soup was perfectly spiced. The beef was tender. The noodles were a perfect texture. The second time we went was on a Saturday around lunch, about 30 minutes after they opened. We were able to get seated. But within 10 minutes, all but one table was filled. We ordered the salt and pepper chicken, Xi Xia stirred noodles, and the spicy beef noodle soup again. Once again, the spicy beef noodle soup was excellent, all the same comments as our first time. The Xi Xia Stirred Noodles had a sauce on the bottom and it was topped with spices. You stir it together. This has a little bit of a spice, but not as much as the soup. The sauce was a soy sauce base with oil and flavorful garlic and other spices/herbs. It was ever so slightly salty for me, but I tend to like a little less salt. The salt and pepper chicken wasn’t too salty nor too peppery. But it was just enough seasoning to add flavor, but not so much that it would cover the chicken taste. The chicken was excellently fried. Crisp, but not cut your mouth hard. The meat was also very tender. We had a different server this second time, but they were still very attentive. Though the tables filled it fast, the service was also very fast and the food came out even faster! This restaurant was ran super efficiently. Throughout the 30-45 minutes we there there, multiple tables were seated from start to finish while still keeping up with take out orders.

The first time I came here I ate all the noodles before I took a picture. So good. I've only tried the stir noodles so far but those by themselves are good enough to keep coming back here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy to order. Just order on your phone and they bring it out to you.

CoCo Cuisine 可可川粤

If you’re visiting the Columbus area and looking for something truly delicious and authentic, Coco Cuisine should be at the top of your list. Our group of three sampled at least eight different dishes, and every single one was amazing. The spice levels were perfect—not overpowering but just enough to enhance the flavors. The lucky 6 colorful dumplings and shrimp crepe are absolute must-tries. Each dish seemed to get better as the meal went on. The bar offers a great selection of drinks that perfectly complement the food, and the overall experience was fantastic. We’ll definitely be returning soon!

Place is a good food to eat out. I have been many times and recently taste was not expected like one before. Well, I haven’t try new things but service and food are still good. Had some problem for heating pod and waiters and waitresses are very friendly to take care of it and change seat as asked. It’s really they are welcome to all customer.

Belinda(Bella) was so kind and patient. It was our first time in and she took her time in explaining the menu offerings and her recommendations. This was a top tier experience! My daughter deals with severe food allergies and she made sure to accommodate get her a menu and make me feel secure in feeding my baby and that she will be safe eating here 10/10 would recommend and the food was phenomenal as well!!

I must say Andre D blew us away with his service, he was very attentive and personable. He gave us excellent service and allowed me and the wife, to have a great date night without the children. He recommended we start with Hot and Sour soup (gave us some chips) and the chicken lettuce wrap for an appetizer. He convinced us to get the agave margaretta and high chi. For entrees, we had the combo fried rice and Mongolian beef. Everything was amazing, and then we finished our special day with a chocolate cake that andre had ordered for us for our special night and even got us to finish the night with espresso martinis. We sat in the car and she said that was the best service we'd ever had. He gave us a card with his name to come back and ask for him. We will be coming back again and asking for Andre D.

Panda Express

Pretty much on par for a good Panda Express. We love this location. My only complaint is that sometimes they don’t use white meat in the dishes labeled “chicken breast.” Today they did and the food was on point! Thanks guys

This place almost never disappoints. The place was packed, but we were served really fast. All the employees were nice and we didn't have to wait for them to make what we wanted. Orange chicken is the best or course, and the kids ate all of theirs, I was hoping to get some extra. Guess I need to start getting extra for everyone.

Fiery Sky Asian Kitchen

Conveniently located in the Bethel Center with a clean and cozy dining room. Out food arrived promptly and was hot and fresh. We had lunch specials of sweet and sour chicken and Mongolian chicken. Both came with soup and fried rice. Fried rice basic with only egg noted as mix in, but lots of good flavor and rice was fluffy and tender. The crab rangoon was crispy and LOADED with crab. Pork egg rolls were also crispy and not greasy. We'll return to try some of their more unique offerings next time. Definitely worth trip!

Authentic delicious Chinese cuisine! When you go into a Chinese restaurant and you can hear the sound of the wok from the kitchen, it's definitely a good sign and it is the case of this restaurant. The food is very delicious with full of "wok chi" (the intense heat infused into the food by the wok and the very strong flame of the stove). "Wok chi" can bring out the best flavor of the ingredients. The pan fried dumpling was spot on. The level of pan fry is just right and the filling inside is still very moist. The taste of the pan fried rice noodle was wonderful. If you want me to be super picky, it would be even better if the color could be darker a little bit, and the moisture of the noodle to increase a bit. But all in all, the noodle is very tasty. Clean restaurant. Friendly staffs. Definitely recommend it.

Ko Sheng

This has been my favorite Chinese Restaurant for over 15 years! They’re food always tastes amazing, they’re very polite and know how to make good food. Anything they fry is always the perfect consistency, crunchy but still soft, and I think that’s what I love the most. In the pictures I took is a combo meal of General Tso’s Chicken, with egg fried rice and an egg roll. That’s another thing, I’ve never liked egg rolls until I started coming here. They also deliver to your home which is something most Chinese restaurants don’t do, and they’ve done it for at least the 15 years I’ve ordered from them and consistently arrived on time within 30 minutes of ordering it. The shop is small, it’s a hole in the wall gem, located in a shopping mall you’d probably never consider turning into because the shops around it, in my opinion, aren’t anything special, besides maybe the Pizza Hut next door. I’m surprised I didn’t already review this location, since it is definitely the best Chinese food I’ve had in Ohio, but if you’ve never been here you definitely need to try. The staff are also of Chinese descent, which is awesome because obviously they cook the best Chinese food being that they’re Chinese. Their prices are awesome and low, the amounts are more than enough, and the quality is amazing. The meal I bought costed me $10.75 and I ordered it specifically with egg fried rice. Another thing about that, the pieces of egg are bigger than other egg fried rice I’ve had at other Chinese shops, which is also a plus!

Not satisfactory. Portions are laughable. Paid $9 for a lunch price. Very small portion of chicken for the price. Ridiculous. Literally give the smallest napkin with so much grease on the food. Tried it right after they handed it to me. Cold chicken even colder broccoli. Will not be a repeat customer. Literally no one in here in the middle of the day the phone doesn’t ring. Obviously noted. There’s cutting corners, and then there’s going out of your way to make sure you don’t get any repeat customers. The cashier was rude and gave me a different price than the menu said and then changed the price. For someone who works there a long time it is a surprise that you would quote a higher price and then change to the menu price after I politely ask if the price had changed from the current menu. Rice tastes like it was reheated in oil that was reused who knows how many times. Will not be coming back. Guess customer satisfaction is not important to this restaurant. Literally frozen food that is reheated at home tastes a thousand times better and the portions and price don’t compare.
