Logan's Irish Pub
We were here on a Friday evening during winterfest. We loved this place! The food is so good. I had the pretzel and fish and chips. The atmosphere is very cheerful, there was a band while we were there and they were fantastic!
Logan's Pub is one of those places that, at first glance, might seem unassuming. Tucked away with limited parking, it's a spot where finding a space can be a test of patience, especially when it gets busy. But like many hidden gems, the effort to get there is part of the adventure, and what waits inside makes it all worthwhile. Service at Logan’s is decent—not always stellar, but it gets the job done. The staff hustles, especially when the place is packed, which is often. Yet, the occasional wait and the parking hassle fade into the background when the food arrives. The fish and chips here are excellent, the kind that remind you of the best pub fare across the pond. Crispy, golden, and perfectly seasoned, it's a dish that speaks of tradition and comfort. Their Reuben is another standout—hearty, flavorful, and loaded with all the right fixings. And then there's the Guinness. Logan’s pours a solid pint, the kind that would make any pub-goer smile. It’s a place where you can settle in, sip slowly, and savor the simple pleasures of good food and drink. Logan’s Pub may not be the easiest to get to, and it can get busy, but it’s the kind of place that rewards persistence. It’s a slice of authenticity in a world where that’s becoming increasingly rare, and for that, it’s well worth a visit.
Oler's Bar & Grill
Great hometown bar feel. Food and service are spot on. Had fish and chips.... Highly recommend. Cooked to perfection, hot, light and flakey, generous portions at a great price.
So I want to start out by saying I’ve never had a bad experience AT olers, I had my 21st bday with my family there and my dad eats there all the time. With that being said, I was so disappointed tonight. I ordered pick up tonight, the woman I spoke to on the phone was super nice with me and my silly questions. My brother got a double cheeseburger cooked medium well with pickles, lettuce, ketchup, and mayo with a side of fries. His burger was bland and one patty was medium well, the other was medium rare, closer to the side of rare and he almost ate it anyway except he took a bite that was completely mush and squirted blood on his finger and there was a crunchy/hard piece of something unidentified. There was no ketchup and the lettuce was wilted and stringy. We did receive mayo but it was in a tub that I thought was my side of queso 💀 that part was my fault lmao. My burrito was good but I was so sad because my guac was fizzy and tasted sour and I LOVE their guac. Our root beers were also flat. Idk maybe it was just an off day but I was really surprised and soooo let down cuz I had the munchies and I was gonna SCARF.
Jack & Jin’s
Some of the best Thai food I have ever tasted. The green curry is amazing, as well as the Pad Thai, Tempura vegetables, and Spring Rolls, so I assume that everything else is also. Fast, friendly service. Very good value for money.
This is by far the best Asian in Findlay and surrounding areas! It’s my go to for comfort food. The staff is always very friendly. When I went there was only one person working. She was taking orders, cooking, and handing out food but she still managed to keep a good attitude.
China Rose Chinese Restaurant
The service is good. They're very kind and attentive. But unfortunately the food is sub par. Chicken broccoli, beef broccoli, and general tsos was lacking. It's a little bland. One of us tasted the Mongolian chicken and that one was good. Really would like to give it a higher rating because the people are so nice but they need to work on the food. The rice was also a little hard, kind of crunchy, most likely not burned but been there a while. I'm guessing. If there was a highlight, it was the egg roll. Could have had a little less oil but it was tasty. Hopefully they can work on their food a little bit more. Even adding just a little bit more salt would have helped.
This has got to be without a shadow of a doubt the most DISGUSTING food I’ve ever had in my life!! I can’t begin to describe how awful it was!!! I got the lunch special for $7.50 (to go) and added an order of Crab Rangoon. My total for takeout was $13.45! I paid around $7 for the crab Rangoon and got 4. Four for $7?! The “chicken” in my sweet and sour chicken looked old and tasted like grease and was inedible. The overpriced crab Rangoon was also inedible, and I’m NOT a picky person. So when I can’t eat something it’s BAD! I also have no idea what kind of sweet of sour sauce they gave me but it was nothing like I’ve ever seen before. All in all, please don’t waste your hard earned money like I did! 🤢🤮😡
Asian Grill
Food was great. Slow service for being the only people in there. Great flavor and price was good.
Man, this hurts, because ~15-20 years ago this was our regular spot and it was fantastic, but we came back when visiting town, and what a fall from grace. We were the only ones there the entire time on a Saturday lunch, and they must not have expected anybody because the waitress had to call the chef in to work (who would later loudly berate the poor girl). The food... woof. The sushi was disgusting. The rice was clearly yesterday's (best case scenario), hard, and fermented-tasting. The nigiri fish was stale and off-smelling, with dull colors, and the maki rolls were a falling-apart mess. The teriyaki chicken was... not teriyaki chicken in any objective way. The fried rice was gummy. Even the water somehow tasted nasty as other reviewers pointed out. I don't know what happened but it makes me sad. I'm glad Japan West is still on top of its game.
Royal Buffet
I really wanted to like it. But my wife and I found we only enjoyed about 10% of the offerings. We did go on a weeknight at dinner time where there were only a dozen other people, so maybe food wasn't as fresh as busier times. Great fried fish, stuffed shrimp, teppanyaki chicken, coconut shrimp, and ice cream, and that's all I can honestly recommend. I liked the decor and the vibe.
Waitresses and welcoming staff were amazing and the food was sooo good!! The the restaurant was clean and well kept. Thank you!!
Panda Express
We had 6 entrees. We shared a little bit of everything. My wife liked it a lot. Daughter liked it but not as much as my wife. I'm the outcast. Imo the 3.5 is just. The service and the cleanliness bring the score up, the food is mediocre at best. The younger girl was courteous and served well. She also cleaned up after she finished serving us. The place is clean. The older lady seemed a bit rushed and was not paying attention. She just wanted to get the job done lol Imo the best "Asian" spot is in the mall not far from here.
I know people have wildly different opinions about Panda Express. But it is one of my guilty pleasures. I have tried a few things that I am not impressed by, but now I don’t order them. I stick to my favorites and I am not disappointed. I order the two entree plate. To start the order I get super greens as my side. And while I don’t relish the idea of picking kale out of my teeth - I still grin with the thought of getting all those veggies in a fast food order. Then I order the orange chicken and Beijing beef. I lovingly refer to them as my candied meats. And this combination gets me to seek out Panda Express about once a month. I carefully avoid any new, hyped up introduction the drive thru voice offers. I know what I want. #candiedmeat
