Macky’s Dim Sum
The best disum restaurant in Issaquah area. I had dim sum here on a day in late September. The food was delicious, with many dishes to choose from. I went with my family, about 8 people, and the restaurant had spacious, comfortable, and clean seating. The staff was very friendly and pleasant.
After giving this place a try, it's well worth the 15-20 min drive to the Bellevue area for much better fare. I'm sure the restaurant had its moment years ago, but I noticed too many red flags for me to consider returning (if you've ever worked in a restaurant, you know what to look out for). Couple these signs with their known food safety violations, its not much of a surprise. For the size of Issaquah—and how fast it is growing—it has a surprisingly good and diverse food scene. It can certainly do much better than this.
Twin Dragon
I don't usually complain about the cleanliness of places but this place really needs it, the food was not bad and the price of everything is good
First of all, we adore the staff, the waitresses are so friendly and remember us, even though we only go once a month or so. The BBQ pork is outstanding, fresh and hot with great flavor. I like their food, not greasy, just fresh and hot and tasty. I would recommend this place over and over again. It's just good food, and good people.
Purple Dot Cafe
I recently dined at here, and overall, it was a delightful experience! The ambiance was warm and inviting, with traditional Chinese decor that added to the dining experience. We started with the dim sum, one type of roll( forgot the name) which packed with fresh vegetables. The accompanying sweet and sour sauce was the perfect complement. For the main course, we ordered spicy fish and it was a big amount. The potato dish was savory, with perfectly cooked chili. We also tried the Fried Rice, which was flavorful and had a great mix of vegetables and protein. The portion sizes were generous, and we definitely left with leftovers!
Some of the best dim sum in the C-ID! Crispy spicy green beans with Chicken and XO sauce was divine! The shrimp dumplings and shu mai we equally as delicious. Service is great! We’ll be back!
Asia Bar-B-Que
My heart is telling no, but my tummy, my tummy is telling me yea!!! Super friendly staff, clean establishment, and meats cooked just right. Our party of 10 pretty much ordered everything on the menu, and everyone was happy. My favorite was the roasted pork, crispy and moist. Prices are very fair yet portions are big. Well be back often.
Granted I went 15 minutes before they were about to close, I wasn’t impressed with the curry or the rack of ribs. The curry wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t great either. But what do I expect, they sell Bbq not curry. The ribs had flavor, but still really dry. But the least impressive part was the price. I just expected a bit more food for $17. If it was $15, it would had been a bit more reasonable. A bit misleading from the price on the wall I cannot say I recommend this establishment.
663 Bistro
The Roast Duck, BBQ Pork Cheek, and Roast Pork was perfect. Not salty or dry, even by the 3rd day. Used to drive to Richmond, British Columbia for this type of takeout, but no more🫶🏻. Also tried their stir fry Beef chow-fun rice noodle, unusually large pieces, beef was soft, lots of bean sprouts, pretty good. owner even brought it out to my car since it was raining, so 😊. No dine-in though.
The shredded duck chow mein had a bone in it. Half the noodles were dried out and hard. They were just slopped on top of duck and veggies that were just sitting at the bottom, not incorporated into the noodles. The sweet & sour prawns were terribly fishy-tasting, the breading was weird, and barely enough sauce came with them to cover them. No vegetarian or chicken egg rolls. Never again.
Ocean Star
They offer dimsum all day; we ordered 9 dishes and they were really good. Service was pretty fast, and our servers promptly refilled our teapot/cleared empty dishes. The final price was way lower than we expected, so we’re pretty happy. Overall I defintely recommend if you want some dimsum.
Stopped in for dim sum after skiing and was impressed! The shrimp balls with cilantro were a standout, and everything else was delicious too. The restaurant is bright, clean, and inviting. Highly recommend!" Option 2 (Slightly more descriptive): "What a great find after a day on the slopes! I enjoyed a fantastic dim sum meal here. The shrimp balls with cilantro were particularly good, and the overall quality was excellent. The restaurant is bright and clean, creating a pleasant dining experience. I'll definitely be back!
Wok This Way
I used to eat here very often during my lunch breaks! The staff is so sweet and kind! The food is always hot and delicious! 10/10 Recommend
10/29/2021 Definitely not New York Style Chinese Food. I ordered the the two item meal with Chow Mein. I got Orange Chicken and General Tso. It does not taste like typical Americanized Chinese food. The General Tso tasted old and was not spicy. The chow mein had no flavor and very little vegetables in it. It was just cooked spaghetti. I had to add soy sauce to it. It is a large portion of food though for around $9.
Panda Express
Panda Express is one of my favorite fast food restaurants. I usually get mine from the one on Meridian, but today, I went here. I'm very disappointed. The chow mein is pretty dry, the teriyaki chicken is overcooked to the point of burnt on parts and the orange chicken in hard and dry. They also didn't give me my chicken egg roll I ordered and paid for! Not happy. I decided to give them another chance. This time, I went inside and waited in line for probably about 20 minutes. They were busy, so I reminded them not to forget my teriyaki chicken and asked for sweet and sour sauce. They were out of the sauce, and when I got home, I when I got home, my chicken was left out! Seriously irritating. At least this time, the food I did have was good. Still not happy. 😏
DO NOT GO HERE We are apparently slow learners. Decided to give them another try after our last less than stellar experience here... The main reason we come is for the rangoons... They were burnt (see pictures) . The rest of the food looks okay, though. I wanted to go back inside and ask them to remake them, but my wife said no. The last time she went there, and there was a problem, the manager made it seem like it was our fault that a Dasher took our food instead of the correct order... Every time we've come, there has been issues. And very little effort by staff to help... UPDATE: Got home and the food was wrong. Incorrect entrees. And the noodles were not fully cooked. GO HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Happy at the bay teriyaki 3
It’s been a while but I knew exactly what I wanted when I called to order for pick up 20 mins before closing! Our food was ready in 15 mins! I noticed prices had gone up so I took some pics of the menu and happy to see that they are allowing dine in again but no access to restrooms. Food was delicious as expected! We get the Happy Combo add yakisoba and it feeds 6 of us easily. Love the coleslaw/salad too that comes with it!
They don't open until 11 am on weekdays and it didn't look like the bathroom was open. Food was prepared quick and was fresh. Chicken yakisoba plate was $15. It didn't come with a drink or egg roll. Back in the day it used to be around $7-$8
Panda Express
This is the best Panda Express location I’ve ever been to! The food is very fresh and delicious, the environment is clean and well kept, and the staff are wonderful! Exceptional customer service all around. You can tell these individuals truly care about their workplace and teamwork. Shout out to Alexis for always being so warm and welcoming, and ensuring patrons have the best experience! 15/10
This location has only once out of 15 times gotten our order correct. We tend to have to watch them dish it up, but they are always rushing us to order and go to the register. Quality control is needed. If its slow, don't go, the food gets hard and stale really quickly.
Peking Garden
Food was tasty. It was pretty busy and the service people were a little bit scattered between the large number of customers, take out orders, and uber orders, but they were nice and tried to get everyone taken care of quickly. Nice little place for a bite to eat. Definitely gets busy during the dinner rush.
I ordered this on DoorDash. If I can rate this a zero would. The Prawns Fried Rice was too salty. The Orange Chicken i paid 18 dollars for came with NO RICE. It didnt even taste good AT ALL. There's better orange chicken for way less cheaper and comes with rice. The Cream Cheese Wonton was too sweet. Not authentic at all so why is it so expensive?
NEW PEKING
If I could give this place minus 5 stars, I would. The service was absolutely ridiculous. The server rolled her eyes when she was asked what the difference between dishes were. The food is on another level of horrendously horrible. 3 different tempura sweet and sour. Very small portions. I would strongly recommend save your craving and $$ for Honey Court, or Hong Kong bistro in Seattle, wa Chinatown. The Honey Walnut Prawns’s look and taste like they were tossed in Mustard. Dry, bland fried rice.. The bbq Pork was like cardboard. Tasteless, dry………….., the outer layer of red was a pale pink
Food was delicious! Best Chicken Chow Mein with Crispy Noodles, perfect amount of chicken & vegetables. Mongolian Beef was so excellent. Our waitress was so knowledgeable about the food & helped us pick out the perfect dishes. She was also an absolute sweet heart!
