Pacific Grove Chinese Restaurant
Best Chinese food I’ve had in years! I’ll be dreaming of their beef teriyaki. Everyone was so kind. They had fun drinks and great entertainment on a Saturday night. Clean well kept space. We will definitely be back for food asap!
Best Orange Flavored Chicken I have had in a long tine. The broccoli was cold but still okay and fresh. I would like to have had Chinese beer with my meal but they had Japanese which was okay. Very friendly staff. This is only my second visit here. By the look of the patrons here, it is a popular place to chill after work. Plenty of seats and parking. The bar is very small but plenty of high top tables around the bar. I recommend you try this place next time you feel like Chinese food.
Jade Pacific
First of all no lunch menu on weekends. Wasn’t about to order from regular menu, it would have been to much, I was alone. Ended up ordering a so called daily special, teriyaki, fingers, wings and rice. Beef teriyaki was excellent, chicken fingers and wings were very greasy, rice was dry and clumpy, reminded me of Uncle Ben’s. Had a couple of mai ties, not bad for the price, but had better. Service was fair, only one waitress, but there was only 3 tables that needed service. You can go and make up your own minds, but as for me I’m done.
This is your typical new style chinese food..great rice. Everything was very good. Much better than most of the Chinese food places I've been to lately
Purple Bamboo Restaurant
Had to try this place out for the first time. Been driving by it a lot. Place was very nice and friendly. Food was good can't complain about anything. Service was great and friendly. We had 2 different broth for hotpot and kids meal (chicken fingers with fries) Broth was good. Spicy broth and regular broth. We ordered beef combo that comes with veggies. Plus seafood combo and other items on the side.
This place is always so good. Wicked friendly staff!! Overflowing chicken fingers and wicked pissah house fried rice!!
Sichuan Gourmet Billerica
First time here, and it was wonderful. The servers were very helpful. The food was delicious and extremely flavorful. The portions are most certainly worth the price. I highly recommend it if you love Chinese food and are in the area! I will be making another trip here soon
The food always has consistently good flavor. I usually order take out but decided to try dine in. I enjoyed it just as much. They do serve beer but no mixed drinks.
Sichuan Palace
We got the scallion pancakes, crab rangoons, west lake beef soup, general Tao’s chicken, dry-fried shredded beef, crispy sweet & sour fish fillet, Golden silver egg pea pod leaves, vegetarian Ma Po tofu, vegetable fried rice. It was truly the best Chinese food I’ve had in the Boston area. The dry-fried shredded beef and golden silver pea pod leaves were my favorite. The general tso’s chicken was the most scrumptious I’ve had to this date. We also ordered egg custard buns and pumpkin sesame rice balls for dessert and they were a spectacular finish to our meal! Highly recommend for authentic chinese food with welcoming ambience!
In Brief: Very tasty, hits the spot when I'm craving authentic food! In Long: I've been 2 times now, and also ordered delivery via ubereats once on thanksgiving. Haven't been disappointed yet. Food is fast, hot, and flavorful. I like how the dishes are served in a 'shareable' style. When you order a dish, that thing is big, and I hope you come with some friends and enjoy the feeling of eating together (or fighting over tasty food together!) Don't forget to order rice (that big plate was just 4 bucks!), because no meal is complete without it. I also recommend asking for hot tea. I'm pretty sure they serve you Jasmine tea when you ask for tea, which is really nice to wash down any spicyness or greasiness throughout the meal. Whenever I end up in the area, I try to stop by so one day I can say I've tried every dish. So far I've tried and enjoyed: salt and pepper spare ribs, double cooked pork, jumbo shrimp, cumin lamb(you gotta try this at least once), tangerine crispy beef, and I enjoyed some duck dishes on thanksgiving. We usually can't finish everything and they pack it up for you very neatly. Next time I might order extra rice just to take home lol. Hopefully i can add on to this giant word wall as I go more often. I recommend taking a chance and stopping by with friends if you're willing to try new things ^^
Sichuan Gourmet Burlington
Very good option for spicy Chinese food. They do have Chinese American items for those who want that but I came for Sichuan dishes and they were good and tasty. There is a lunch specials menu but we supplemented with a couple of entrees and happy we did. Service is very good and price is reasonable. Would come again.
Sad but pretty disappointing food. There was no taste in the food. The dishes when they arrived looked good but when you eat it you realize it so bland. The spring rolls batter didn’t taste very fresh. The Ma Po Tofu was so disappointing. It’s my favorite thing and they ruined it. The vegetable fried rice was another disappointment. My husband said the Dan Dan noodle was the only one which was average. The chicken with cabbage was stinking. The service is fast and it’s a busy place. They don’t have reservations and you might have to wait for a while during weekends to get a table.
Beijing Chinese Restaurant
A really lovely place with decently affordable lunch specials. Fast and excellent service. Lunch special came with choice of crab rangoons or spring rolls as well as fried or steamed rice and hot and sour soup.
If there were half stars, I’d probably give a 3.5, but I’m rounding up to 4 because I would go back for sure. I started with a mai tai which was just ok. They don’t have a lot of tiki cocktails on the menu but maybe they can make the basics. I’ll try something else next time. For an appetizer we got crab Rangoon. It was minimally stuffed and not very good. It should be avoided. Dinner was much better. The half peking duck was good. The meat was excellent and the veggies were fresh, though the pancakes were more like a tortilla than a traditional peking pancake. The spicy sautéed cabbage was amazing. I highly recommend the cabbage, particularly with the duck. The service was efficient even though the dining room was pretty crowded. The atmosphere is nice, above average for a traditional Chinese restaurant. Bottom line: I’m looking for a Chinese restaurant near by to be my go to. I’m not sure this is it, but I would go back again.
Lotus Blossom
Great food and fast service. Probably because we were eating at 4:30 on a Tuesday night. Sesame chicken was great - no leftovers. Only complaint was that it was big size pieces. Plenty of sauce.
My family really enjoyed our food here. Stand out dishes. General gao chicken is excellent also the szechuan shrimp and lo mein. Peeking ravioli were wonderful as well. Great dining atmosphere as well.
Chang Hai Restaurant
One of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ordered from! The steamed white rice was perfectly cooked—chewy and fluffy. The General Tso’s chicken was delicious, and since they didn’t have Orange Chicken, they went the extra mile to make us a special side. The scallion pancake had a wonderfully crisp texture, reminiscent of a Haitian pâté Kode without the filling. The vegetable lo mein was fantastic—even as someone who doesn’t like mushrooms, I found myself enjoying them. The egg rolls, however, were a bit dry and the filling wasn’t my favorite. One downside is that they don’t accept American Express, only Visa and MasterCard, so keep that in mind. Overall, a solid spot, and I’d definitely eat there again! Atmosphere is dry, old style could use a refresher.
I used to go here 5 days a week 20 years ago when I worked nearby. Today I happened to be in the area so I stopped in to get my old usual for lunch spicy green beans and an egg roll. Used to pay about $6 for the lunch but now was charged $20.54. Wow! Inflation! When I walked up to the counter I said I used to come here 20 years ago and I didn't need to look at the menu. I'll have the spicy green beans and an egg roll. The order taker asked me something I think about sizes and I just for me, one. While I was waiting I looked at the menu taped to the front window. It showed the lunch as $12.75 or $12.95. When the order was ready I asked about the price difference I was told I had to say the work "combo" or something like that. I mean it was 12:33 PM. Lunchtime. I mean, I am older but I don't eat dinner that early. So she tells me next time I have to say the magic word. I told her there would not be a next time. At the very least she should have asked me if I wanted the "combo" or whatever it is. I feel very ripped off having given her $8 more than what I should have paid for lunch. I will never go back. Remember to use the magic word if you go during lunchtime or you'll be charged an extra $8 for your lunch.
花椒苑 Spicepepper Garden
Pleasant staff and atmosphere. Good portions. Flavorful. Have been twice. Will come back again. Salt n pepper chicken or shrimp! Yum!
Good food with fast service and reasonable prices. We stopped in for a quick dinner and ordered a few dishes and sushi. Everything was tasty and the portions were just about right for our party. Drinks were good but a little iced down. Overall a good place to grab Asian food with a large diverse menu.
Fortune Corner
This is not my first time ordering at this place at all now today while I was eating my food with no problem. While chewing my food I found a stapler on my food thank God I didn’t swoll it. Now I call the restaurant to refund my money that I payed they told me to bring the food and they’ll give me my refund back and not making me a New food that ridiculous😡🤬
I have ordered here before but my most recent order is my last!! I found moldy onion in my lo mein after eating a good portion of it and NOOOO it is not seasoning or anything else as i tried to scrape it off and i wouldn’t and it was on all the pieces. I didn’t even know what mold looked like on an onion I just found it and was curious then looked up on google what it looked like and it’s the same thing !! i was so disgusted and nervous about getting food poisoning and they had the audacity to only refund 10$ instead of the whole order, which to me doesn’t make sense due to if I got sick there would’ve been a bigger issue. There was so many more pieces but I was too disgusted to keep looking.
Taipei Gourmet
I’m not from Taiwan or the region, so I’ll leave the remarks about authenticity to others. I did stumble on a Taiwanese restaurant during a trip to China, and had an eggplant dish that I’m still thinking about five years later. So I thought I’d give this place a try. I was just about the only non-Asian diner—on a Saturday, the place was full of families. They were kind to find a spot for a solo diner.I ordered the Taipei beef noodle soup, which is spicy but not in a sharp jalapeño way, more of a dark warm heat. I also had the eggplant in garlic sauce, which resembled that dish I had years ago, though it was sweet (actually as if sugar was added) and what I had before was a bit dryer, and had just a bit more of a roasted flavor. This was a lot of food, but it all was so good that I almost didn’t have any leftovers. I’ll definitely be back.
It is very Authentic Chinese food , is tasty so yummy and beautiful,I will coming back next time , thank you so much!
