Wei's Asian Cuisine
I had 2 times eat at Wei’s Chinese food , the food so amazing , we eat lobster garlic ! And the prices reasonable ! chicken so good and eggplant with chilies very delicious, everything so good ,amazing delicious and the owner Wei is very friendly, I’m highly recommended and will come back again to try different menu .congratulation's Wei , my family very like this Chinese restaurant in Wakefield near my house I’m so happy , Thank you 🙏
Weis Asian Cuisine in Wakefield is an absolute gem! The flavors are incredible, offering a truly authentic and fresh taste that’s rare to find. Every dish I tried was perfectly balanced and thoughtfully prepared, with each bite better than the last. Wakefield is so lucky to have a place like this – it’s a true gemstone in the town’s dining scene. I’ll definitely be making this a regular spot, and I can’t wait to come back and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates top-notch Asian cuisine!
Lin Garden
Good food with quality and quantity. The wings are crispy. We also order beef broccoli and curry chicken. Brocoli is crunchy! The food is 10/10. Cleanliness is 10/10. The workers are very nice and kids friendly 10/10. The place has couple tables for customers to enjoy in the restaurant. Locate in a shopping center with plenty of parking spot 10/10. Overall 10/10 definitely visit again when I am nearby! Will be more perfect if there’s a restroom for customers!
Had shrimp broccoli. The shrimp was tender. Broccoli and other vegetables were fresh. The sauces were rich and the portion of steamed rice was big. Good comfort food! Update: tried shrimp with mixed vegs. This is the healthier version of previous one. Sauce was light. Highly recommend.
Sei Bar Wakefield (湘私馆)
Very good! Past 2 weeks, I have travelled 5 major US cities and visited 11 Chinese restaurants. This is the best so far…
This place changed my impression on the whole cuisine. Everything we had was incredibly tasty. We tried the black fungus appetizer, lamb starter, chicken hotpot and fried rice. It's a hidden gem. Should get more recognition. The food is actually spicy, so, beware.
Jade Gourmet
Does this small town know what good Chinese even tastes like? Grease on top of grease. They must have the shortest grained rice in rice history! Looked like quinoa. For me it was Tasteless… sweat and sour chicken hard and dripping with oil! Absolutely horrible! Straight in the trash it goes. They’re very kind and great with customer service. But they need to find a better way to drain grease
Creature of habit, always get the same dish. Beef Teriyaki, Crab Rangoon, Chicken Fingers, Pork fried rice, and Chicken wings. Been visiting this restaurant since approx. 2018. Service is great, helpful and friendly!
Mandarin Reading Restaurant
Decent food but nothing special Went there cuz was hoping for buffet but didnt notice that the picture was taken 8yrs ago..dno if buffet is still available there or no Weird taste of rice in pork fried rice and chicken lo main pasta was kinda hard and both dishes were really oily. Gayoza tho very good.
Mandarin Reding is in my opinion the absolute best sushi restaurant around. I rarely even order from the menu. Lou the chef can make some incredible dishes that will rock your world! My absolute favorite captives is the Seafood Spoons. The service is out of this world where they make you feel at home and serve up amazing drinks. Robert the manager greets you and makes feel at home. If he learns your name he always remembers your name.
Jade East
We have visited Jade east several times in the past few months and find it a step above any Chinese restaurants in the area. The food is fresh and the drinks well made. The service is fantastic and the prices very reasonable. As another poster remarked, the spring rolls and egg rolls are very fresh and delicious. The Chicken wings are perfectly cooked and juicy. Angela and Sing the bartender give excellent service. My new favorite drink is the "White Mai Tai" using white rum. Highly recommend you to visit or re-visit this place you will be happy you did.
Can I tell you… I had THE BEST egg roll of my life here? And it was super reminiscent of ones I had growing up! Tasty, good quality ingredients, yum! Very pleasantly surprised. We’ve been dying to come here since they reopened. We were here last year and they were closed. Had a lychee martini which was fabulous and perfectly made (and they don’t skimp), the PuPu platter for 2 (with an extra egg roll since there were 3 of us, and I ate 2 😋), roast pork fried rice, and chicken lo mein. Everything was well-thought out and not too greasy, not too fried. Everything just tasted GOOOOOD. Our server was also SOOOO patient because we couldn’t decide quickly. Too many delicious items to choose from! The only photo I got in was this one. I was way too focused on eating. Thank you for your fabulous hospitality as well, you made us feel right at home. Will ABSOLUTELY return soon. 🥰💕
Ginger Tree
What a huge disappointment on Chinese New Year. Ordered 4 dishes Chicken with Chinese eggplant, Peking duck, large oriental crispy pad Thai and pepper flowery shrimp and could not eat. Food has no taste, poor quality. This place has a 4.4 star rating in Grubhub and does not come close to even 2 stars. Even if you starve you are better off ordering from Mac D. Here’s why I was so disappointed: 1. Peking duck was very dry likely very old, and should come with bao but they gave me Mexican tortillas! Unbelievable. 2. Pepper flowery shrimp had a thick coat of tasteless and lumpy batter which could not be chewed and broke into lumps. 3. Oriental large crispy pad Thai- the crispy part was fried a few days ago, so smelled of stale oil! What the heck! Overall dish was very poor quality and no taste. Never order this dish. 4 . Chinese eggplant with chicken, they do not know how to cut Chinese eggplant. Huge tasteless chunks of eggplants filled seeds but edible. The conclusion is food is not fresh, poor quality and they do not take care when preparing food, ingredients stale like the oil. Why do we want to pay money and buy food that is so poor quality. There are many good places around! Stay away and save your money. It is hard to make food taste this bad unless they do not care about their business. Customers are not stupid so don’t think they will shut up after eating this food. It takes real bad food to warrant such poor reviews.
I always have my food delivered. the food is always fresh and hot and on time. And the staff is super friendly and courteous.
Lu's Kitchen
Tried for the first time last night, my family ordered off the “Dinner for one” menu. Most items are about $15 (give or take $1) and come with a very large serving size of your entree, rice (white or pork fried) as well as two appetizers off of a pretty sizable list. The Crab Rangoon is the only thing we had that we had a complaint with, everything else was quite good and, again, had generous portion sizes. Probably at least two days worth of food in each one person container. Overall, I enjoyed very much and will be back again.
Ordered two dinner specials and they were both to die for a very appropriately priced. It was all the perfect combination of good comforting Chinese food at a price that doesn’t break the bank. We’ve tried many places in Lowell and have had good, great and disappointing experiences of varying price points. There were couple wowing favorites for dishes, while everything else was just solid. Couldn’t ask for much better than that. The portion was great for me to have for dinner and have for lunch the next day too, so for a dinner special, I’d saying the portioning was generous! Will be coming back again soon
China Mountain Restaurant
It's a great small restaurant run by a family. It's cute to see their children there as they work and the little girl plays the piano which adds to the atmosphere while waiting even though it's really quick cooking. The place is small so not much room to eat in but that's fine since I take it to go. Ordering online is so easy and I like the options of when you place order to choose what the payment of in person is (cash or card) since there's no option to pay online but it's okay, I don't mind. The food is always good and well priced. It's my favorite place in the area that I drive 20 mins for.
I ordered extra ribs and extra sauce. This is the small amount, dry and old ribs 🤢
Main House
One of the best Chinese American take outs I’ve had.
There's no "atmosphere" - it's a takeout joint only. The food is generally bland and even the spicy dishes had little flavor to speak of. The seafood hot and sour soup is watery and tasteless and I saw no seafood at all. Vegetables are in huge chunks, tough and undercooked. Chicken was also in huge chunks too big to eat with chopsticks. Spring rolls were too greasy and tough to bite; and no hot mustard was included. One and done for this kid!!
China Star Dim Sum Lounge
The service was great. We arrived around 2:30, and they stopped serving Dim Sum at 3pm. Many waitresses helped us get what we wanted quickly. The food was incredible, but there were no prices on the menu, and we found out upon receiving the bill that it wasn't cheap. The two of us spent almost $100 for what you see in the picture (with tax and tip)! The dining room was clean and decorated ornately, but the bathroom was horrendous. The back door was open for deliveries, so the women's room was freezing. The toilets were old and seemed to be leaking. There was no toilet paper and napkins with a bucket next to the toilet since you can't flush them. The sink water was ice cold, and there were no paper towels, just a blow hand dryer. I would definitely eat here again and avoid the bathroom if possible.
This is my first time eating here. The food came quickly and there was a selection like other dim sum restaurants. The wonton skin was too thick and the portions were generous. The fried taro it wasn't tasty at all. They put too much ammonia in it, so it was inedible. I took it home but had to throw it away.
Panda Wok
Genuinely wish I had tried this place sooner, everything we tried was so good. I seriously don’t know what those bad reviews are on about- it’s cleaner and nicer than a lot of restaurants in the area and the staff were great! I had one of their signature rolls and it was the best sushi I’ve had in a while- I’d even dare to say it’s better than Asian Imperial. My partner had a good plate of lo mien and some solid egg rolls. The drinks here, also fantastic- and strong. And the fortune cookies are not stale! (Another issue I’ve recently had with a lot of restaurants) Can’t wait to come back!
Each Chinese restaurant has its unique flavors. In this place, We sat down for service rather than take out. I thought the chicken fingers were lighter and crisper than others I've had (delicious), and the scallion pancake appetizer was the best I've had anywhere. Beef teriyaki and boneless spare ribs were as good as anywhere else. I preferred the pork fried rice elsewhere but still good.
