Great Wall of China South
Service was A+. I loved the saltwater tank they have in the dining room. For an appetizer, I got the Crab Rangoon, and I don’t recommended them. For an entree I got the Great Wall Crispy Shrimp. The broccoli was fresh/crisp and cooked perfect in a brown sauce. Huge shrimp, great value. The shrimp was very sweet and had a glaze on them. I will be back next time but to dine in with a friend and get a few Mai Tais.
Ordered take out. Called to complain. The manager was no help at all. I will never eat here again. This was my first and last time. My crab Rangoons were Burt. The duck and the dumplings tasted old and disgusting. I couldn’t eat anything. Don’t waste your money.
Wan Fu Quality Chinese Cuisine
Yesterday for lunch we were in the Charlotte area and decided on having some Asian cuisine for lunch. We found Wan Fu and decided to give it a try since it had great reviews. It was a great decision! The atmosphere was so relaxing, the staff was exceptional and so nice! And the food was so good! This was an amazing lunch in every aspect and Wan Fu will become our new go to for Chinese cuisine!!!
Nice, quaint place. Food was delicious, fresh and hot. You get plenty of food for your bucks
川王府 Riceblossom: Authentic Chinese Cuisine (Taste of SHU)
We came here for my sister's birthday dinner. We were able to be seated immediately and ordered a couple of appetizers. I do not remember our server's name but she was very nice and helpful in giving us suggestions. We got the pan fried dumplings and the handmade wonton in chili oil. The pan fried dumplings were a little disappointing as I could tell that they were mass-manufactured and/or frozen. The handmade wonton in chili oil was delicious and spicy, though! I ordered the pork lo mein as my meal, and my sister got the sesame chicken dinner entree which comes with a side of rice and an egg roll. I got to try some of her meal. The egg roll was a little bland, I assume that they do not use pork because it was not like an egg roll I was used to. The sesame chicken was crispy and had a good amount of sauce on it. The rice was cooked perfectly. The lo mein was absolutely delicious! Very savory and had some hints of sweetness as well. The pork was velveted and tasted great. The service here was very good! Our server was very attentive and also was super sweet! I would definitely recommend checking this place out!
Overall the food is decent. We ordered orange chicken, beef and broccoli, sweet and sour chicken and spicy mushrooms in a flaming pan. Everything was ok. Not amazing and certainly not worth the price. The spicy mushroom dish was the most fragrant and flavorful. But spicy... No, it wasn't spicy. The service was less than ideal. Yes it was on Christmas day it was a little busy. But we arrived before the rush and it still took a while to be served. The staff was friendly, though. Overall it's ok. I don't know that we will be back but don't take my word for it, stop in and try it for yourself. ,
Great Wall
This place is incredible! It’s so hard to find good food in Charlotte, and the service is usually abysmal. Even when people recommend places as “good” or even “delicious,” it mediocre at best. This place, however, rocks! They were helpful with answering questions, and all the staff had smiles on their faces. And, also very important, the food is adequately priced. I’d already given a tip during the initial purchase of my order but the food and drink were so good, I went back to tip more. Thank you for the quality and service. Consider me a regular from now on.
Last meal the pork was fairly dry, could have been a 3 star out of 5, today however my pork and duck rice bowl was absolutely delicious and the portion was generous . I am definitely coming back.
Fortune Wok Chinese Restaurant
We've been searching for some good takeout chinese food and i believe we have found our go to spot! Our food was ready within 10-15 minutes. The large is definitely a large portion. We ordered Sweet and sour chicken Orange chicken Chicken lo mein and Pork fried rice All four items tasted great. Hot, Freshly cooked and flavorful. The cherry on top is that the prices are reasonable! The dining area was clean and set up for a quick bite to eat. Very cute! Thank you for the great service and delicious food.
Friendly and quick service with good portions. Ordered lunch for me and my coworkers and everyone was happy with what they got. Will definitely be a new favorite lunch spot! Kung po chicken combo was fresh and not too greasy and really liked the pork egg roll.
Panda Express
Panda Express = Forever Fave Panda Express is my ultimate comfort food spot—always has been, always will be. My go-to? Kung Pao Chicken with chow mein on the side. That perfect mix of spicy, savory, and just the right crunch keeps me coming back every time. And don’t even get me started on the cream cheese rangoons—crispy, golden perfection with a side of sweet & sour sauce? Yes, please. It’s fast, flavorful, and consistently delicious. Honestly, it’s like a warm hug in takeout form.
The food is nice and hot. The staff is attentive to putting fresh food out on display. It wasn't crowded. It's not a bad spot for a Friday lunch service. Keep in mind the time you come and the location of this establishment. You may run into some heavy-duty traffic ...
Hop Feng Kitchen
The shrimp egg foo was good. But but .. the gravy is a no and I asked for fried rice. No no. Chicken wings had to be put in the air fryer with some seasoning.
Below average scallion chicken doesn't get scallions and pork fried rice has no pork. I called to complain but of course these ppl don't care.
Jasmine Buffet
Very clean and beautiful inside, nice staff. But that is all. Sorry, but the food is so-so. Also, there were plenty of tables. Usually, when we are coming to eat in some buffet, there are always too many people, but here are empty. I don't know about other days, but we have been on Halloween, and maybe everybody did trick or treats.🎃👻😀 Bathrooms was also very clean. Sorry guys, for an honest review about food. Good luck!
From several buffets I’ve been in Charlotte no doubt this is one of the bests and also antique. Totally recommended, awesome ambience and decoration. Check my pics to have an idea of the amazing amount of options.
Chan's Garden
The General Tso's Chicken and fried rice lunch special was delicious. The Beef and Broccoli was also good. However, the dumplings reminded me of the pot stickers available in the local grocery store's frozen food section. They weren't good. The dough was thin and the filling lacked flavor. The egg rolls were really dense and kind of dry. Added a lot of duck sauce to those. All-in-all, a good place to eat, but the dumplings and egg rolls might disappoint.
I have been in Virginia for two months now and I eat here every week. My food is crunchy and well prepared. I encourage everyone looking for this type of food to try Chans.
China Garden
The food was terrible especially the “fried” rice. It was the darkest fried rice I’ve ever seen and had a strange taste. The same goes for the hunan chicken, sauce tasted off as if the oil used was old or the wok not cleaned properly from prior food orders. The egg roll skin was very tough which I’m not sure how you can mess that up. If the cook is their regular they’d better off with someone preparing the food. Needless to say, it was some of the worst tasting I’ve had. To top it off, something in their food gave me diarrhea. Lastly, I found the cashier to be unfriendly and not knowledgeable about their food.
I came all the way across town to get that food and I can say I’m highly disappointed. I almost gave it back while I was there, but I continued to take it with me and eat it. that chicken fried rice did not taste well at all. I’m very disappointed. Not sure what you all used to make it or what type of meat it really is. I’ve had Chinese food from you in the past that I enjoyed that was years ago though prior to the pandemic so I’m not sure where you all are today but that’s not the way to go with the food. . Just a heads up, the quality seriously dropped over the years. From one small business owner to another, I know it’s hard to keep up with things and demand, we go through a lot as small business owners but I expected more from you all. I really hate to even leave this review.
Chin Chin II
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants! The food is always hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. We usually go for the mixed vegetables, house fried rice, fried rice with onions, and crispy fried chicken wings – and it never fails to impress. Whether we pick it up or have it delivered, the quality is always on point. The staff is super friendly, and we highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great Chinese food!
Very melo place nice friendly owners ! Definitely will alway order here everyone was nice greeted a food was definitely fresh & great ! Loved my Ragoons !
China Fun Restaurant
I’ve been on this side of town for 4 years and have been searching for good Chinese and I finally found a spot to rave about! This place is so good and affordable! I really like the garlic chicken (spicy) combo and the hot and sour soup. The garlic chicken is flavorful with lots of veggies to make you feel like you’re eating healthy and the fried rice has a nice flavor too. Im picky when it comes to fried rice and in theirs they include peas carrots and onions but no egg, not a dealbreaker but egg goes in fried rice in my opinion. The egg roll was eh, I could do without that. Now the hot and sour soup is the best I’ve had in charlotte! They actually put chicken in the hot and sour soup which I’ve never seen but I’m not complaining lol it’s delicious! There are a lot of Chinese places around here but this is the only one that has stood out to me. Update 3.5.2025 I tried the Szechuan Chicken and omg it’s so tasty, my new go to! I feel like it has more heat than the garlic chicken which I love. They know what they’re doing over here!
Shrimp with garlic sauce was outstanding. The shrimp was fresh and large, veggies great, sauce perfect. Great meal. Loved the rice!
