Jasmine Buffet
Very clean and beautiful inside, nice staff. But that is all. Sorry, but the food is so-so. Also, there were plenty of tables. Usually, when we are coming to eat in some buffet, there are always too many people, but here are empty. I don't know about other days, but we have been on Halloween, and maybe everybody did trick or treats.🎃👻😀 Bathrooms was also very clean. Sorry guys, for an honest review about food. Good luck!
From several buffets I’ve been in Charlotte no doubt this is one of the bests and also antique. Totally recommended, awesome ambience and decoration. Check my pics to have an idea of the amazing amount of options.
Open Rice Metropolitan
The concept of appetizers going from table to table was different but understanding (food presentation attract the eye and awakens the taste buds curiosity). The food was very flavorful and plentiful. The customer service was great and everyone was very attentive. Plenty of seating and the ambiance was nice. Children’s menu and vegan menu available. This is a must do if in town! Dr Collazo
The restaurant is located in midtown, so parking wasn't right outside the restaurant. We had to park in the parking deck by Target and walk a bit. The tables were a bit cramp. We ordered dim sum and had difficulty fitting the dishes on our tiny table for two. The dim sum was okay. The shrimp dumpling and shrimp rice noodle could have had a thinner skin. For $8.95 a dish I expected better. That literally means 1 shrimp dumpling cost more than $2, and I just don't think it reached that level. Chicken feet and sticky rice wrap were the best dishes. Flavor was good, and I liked how the sticky rice maintained the individual grain shape instead of mushing together. The egg tart didn't taste super fresh. The crust doesn't flake very much, and the bottom of the tart was soggy. Overall the service was good. However the dim sum is overpriced for the quality you get.
Taipei Express
I went to buy Chinese food beef with vegetables and rolled spring when I arrived it was a super small pot. And according to them they told me that it was the biggest almost $20 dollars for that pot that I see it too small for the value and the other thing that they put me a single rolled and I asked 5 hundred short I came and the table was left wanting to continue eating. I remain attentive if any attention
So far best Chinese spot I’ve been in since I moved here from NY. So for starters me and my hubby can eat - we enjoy a good portion. We definitely underestimated how big their portions were- it was enough for dinner and lunch the next day! General chicken is good but I would prefer it spicier- just has a kick to it not really spicy Lo mein was flavorful and not salty - just right! Rice was mild in flavor but not bad or oily which is good. The biggest disappointment was the wonton soup. It only brought 2 small wontons all you get is broth. Was super sad about that as I cant find any places here that actually gives more wontons! Other than that you will def get a bang for your buck and food is delicious!
Persuasian Restaurant
If you are looking for decent Chinese in Charlotte, do not come here. I have no idea how they have a 4.4 rating. To be clear, I am not picky, I just want decent Chinese food. Let me start with the fried rice… it was dry and had no eggs or vegetables, just dry yellow rice! The chicken in my General Tso chicken was absolutely frozen at one time! Dumplings were rubbery and had very little flavor. Wonton soup was by far the best part of the meal, but it’s really hard to screw up wonton soup. I’m still on a search for just an average Chinese in Charlotte. I can name a half dozen place near Dilworth that are better than this place. Any recommendations would be great!
Visiting here from VA and found this quaint, local spot. It did not disappoint! Asked the owner to surprise me with his favorite dish, and it was delicious. Got the lemongrass beef, and he was proud to serve it. He was genuinely interested in conversing and took the time to visit every guest. Will absolutely be back next trip here!
Jade Dragon
My new favorite place. I ordered plain lo mein, beef broccoli combo, and general tso chicken. Everything was delicious, just with the chicken was crispier. We have gone back multiple times and love the crab rangoon and chicken wings.
Quiet place with a dark and intimate ambiance. Quick service, clean establishment. I ordered the seafood delight, $17.95. It comes with brown sauce, not lobster sauce like some other Chinese food places do. There was too much brown sauce for me , but otherwise, the food was fresh.
China Palace Restaurant
In the area visiting and was hard to find a good Chinese restaurant based on reviews but the food here was delicious, good amount of food, had the chicken and broccoli lunch special and chicken wings
This shop gave me food poisoning Monday. I have been have diarrhea, vomiting. As well as not having energy and feeling weak. I’m a mechanic and for me not to be able to work hurts I enjoy my job. Now I’m out of work a week. I haven’t been able to eat it’s been over 24hrs and no appetite. I ordered a general tso and chicken wings. That was the last thing I’ve eat since monday
Hop Feng Kitchen
The shrimp egg foo was good. But but .. the gravy is a no and I asked for fried rice. No no. Chicken wings had to be put in the air fryer with some seasoning.
Below average scallion chicken doesn't get scallions and pork fried rice has no pork. I called to complain but of course these ppl don't care.
China Buffet
Came here for the experience of some good food for dine in and variety. I humbly only received the variety. Food has no flavor. Maybe they rushed the cooks. Even the veggie rolls were flavorless. Fried wings as well. And the sautéed mushrooms taste like nothing. Green beans are the only thing on my plate with some flavor. I have to use duck sauce for the food to even be eaten. Only thing to say at this point is board up the crack house. Where’s the love at. One review called the food here tasty. I wonder what they ate because it’s not in this place. An excuse to just take your money. I’m disappointed with this place. Even the so called bourbon chicken is horrible. I need a refund. The unsweetened tea taste awesome. The staff needs to cover their eyes and do the bird box challenge.none of this food had any flavor. All bland. I won’t be back again. Please close this mestaurant
Kind of ridiculous how they charged me nearly $80 for my 2 younger siblings,my mom & i,nearly $20 each for this trash food. Literally some food was so overcooked either salty or no seasoning, whole bunch of hispanic workers near the hibachi area laughing at customers & talk badly to customers!!! Asked them to please bring out some beef w broccoli since i had been there for about an hour & that same dish hadnt been changed out,was dry & had no beef, they ignored me & laughed until i told someone else & still they never even changed it! Food WAS HORRIBLE!! PEOPLE THAT WORK THERE ARE RUDE & they will serve that same dry overcooked food for hours !! Whats the point i paid nearly $100 just to be not even be able to eat what i wanted at a BUFFET!! Supposedly there was no manager which is why i wasnt able to talk to anyone but even the plates were dirty & they did nothing about that!! Just a mess!!
China Bowl Express
I ordered my kids dinner at 4:15 this afternoon it's 8:10 in the evening and it's time to eat dinner so I fixed their plate the chicken is orange as far as the sesame chicken and it's half done and I called the restaurant and they told me that there was nothing they could do about it as far as my money. Please do not order from this restaurant because the food is no good the chicken is half done nobody wants orange sesame chicken is not supposed to be orange. Y'all had sesame chicken before so you know what the hell it's supposed to look like
Orange chicken with plain fried rice and egg roll was delicious. Chicken was fresh and succulent with all the citrusy flavor infused within. It would be sufficient for two people as they have provided generous amount of meat.Veg Spring roll was decent enough.
P.F. Chang's
This is a wonderful experience. The food is amazing, and has its own unique Asian flare. The staff has always been top-notch and highly trained. Even though they do not mix the sauce at the table anymore, it is still awesome. That was an experience that I really liked. The servers would always mix it to your personal liking, and it was just a really cool experience that I still wish they offered. The restaurant is extremely clean, has a wonderful smell & and the ambience is absolutely phenomenal. It’s also not very noisy, and it seems to have unbelievably well placed acoustics. It’s just awesome. My recommendations are to start off with the chicken lettuce wraps. There’s just nothing like them. My favorite dishes are the Mongolian beef and the Chang spicy chicken. I also love the cashew chicken. If you go there at lunch, there’s really nice lunch specials. It’s just a wonderful place! If you are in the mood for any type of Asian food whatsoever I don’t think there’s any other place that I could recommend more. Both locations in Charlotte are top notch. I love the one located in south park and I believe it was the first one in the area. The Northlake mall location is definitely easier for me to visit rather than the South Park location, Lunch or dinner it is just phenomenal food. The atmosphere is top notch and there’s wonderful artwork on the walls that just makes the whole experience phenomenal. My kids really enjoy the desserts and they’re very well presented. One of them has lots of sparks and sparkles. I don’t know how to describe it, the kids look forward to that every time.
Nice place to hangout with family. Tried the 19.99 budget friendly 3 course meal plan. The sesame chicken was too delicious. The food served tastes yummy and would plan to visit soon.
Baoding Restaurant
This restaurant sets the bar high for premium Chinese dining. The menu offers an impressive selection of contemporary dishes, each prepared with high-quality ingredients and bold flavors. Service is exceptionally fast. The location is convenient, and the ample parking makes it hassle-free to visit, even during peak hours. Whether you’re here for a business dinner or a special night out, the refined atmosphere and delicious food make it a top choice.
The food was pretty authentic, they gave me a 2025 calendar as gift, now I have to teach my friends how to read it. 🤣 Overall it was great, 4.5 out of 5, Chinese approved. Minor complaint: my fortune cookie was empty. 🤣
Panda's Den
My absolute favorite! I've tried other places and they never measure up. Vegetables are fresh and crisp. Great flavor! Extraordinary value!! I easily can make a combo a satisfying meal for 2. Unmatched customer service! I don't order from anywhere else.
First impression, very chilly in here. My food got cold within 10 minutes. Not much traffic here, no more than 2 other people here during my visit. Granted it was a Wednesday evening. Service was very quick and quite good, though a quick check up now and then would have been helpful. Food was very good, except for the beef. Seems to be a very low grade of beef with much fat and gristle. I couldn't even chew some pieces. I'd steer clear of any dishes with beef, you won't be happy. Shrimp tail shell still in place, in cooked food. Place appeared clean with very little staff in view. Food came out quickly and hot. Once on plate, however, it cooled of quite quickly because of cold temperature of inside restaurant. Temperature is the only part of experience that was quite annoying. It cut our stay and marred the experience. It was like management was looking for quick turn over or cheaping out on the heat. For this reason alone, I would not recommend this place and would hesitate before going here again. Wife seemed to enjoy her food, but same complaint about cold restaurant.
