I've read a lot of these reviews and they're really just overreactions. The food isn't gourmet level but it does taste great. It's your average takeout joint, but it works well. Most of the takeout joints like this one aren't going to be any different (or better!) than this place. Also, the disrespect to the owners isn't cool. They're just good people who are hard at work.

The orange chicken had a strange taste. Almost as if it were ammonia. The crab rangoon were over cooked with hardly any cream cheese. The jumbo shrimp spicy had battered shrimp that were all batter. Fried rice was extra bland and an off color. The order took 40 minutes and we were the only customers. Sixty dollars and none of the food was good. The only thing we ate was the sweet and sour chicken that was very dry.

We order from here all the time. Never had a bad meal. One of us orders the same dish nearly every time. On a few occasions I've ordered the wrong dish for them, and the owner will call to clarify if I had meant to order that dish. It's saved us some disappointment every time! Great service and some of the best chinese food available on the east side.

I have gotten takeout here many times. I prefer to get the lunch special because it is a great value. They even make special requests if i go in person to order. Sorry about the bus crashing into your business. 4.5 stars.

I haven’t ordered from Them in a long time but I thought I would give it another shot. Ordered 3 items and while the fried rice is certainly not the best in town it was edible but the sesame chicken came almost looking gray and it is soggy and slimy, only could eat one bite. It’s disappointing because I used to order all the time from them and after the pandemic they really have gone down hill. I will unfortunately not waste my time ordering from them again.

Went here Friday night to a completely empty restaurant. Ordered the soup dumplings, slow cooked beef brisket with potatoes, and a pepper dish (虎皮尖椒). Everything was excellent, especially the soup dumplings - the best I’ve had in town. Very extensive menu with American favorites and authentic dishes. I need to go back and try other things on their menu. Very attentive service and we were the only customers.

I would not recommend this place. General chicken was rubbery, teriyaki chicken lack of flavor, Singapore noodles lack of flavor. I would say the crab Rangoon was the best part. I’ve had worse Chinese food.

Found old, spoiled eggs in the soup. Beware of food from this kitchen. Also gave us lo mein when I ordered fried rice. Aftet tasting the egg drop soup with wanton, I stired it up and discovered chunks of egg that were so old, they looked like grey oysters. I threw the entire meal in the trash to be safe. Photos reposted after being removed once.

The 'About' listing is wrong. There is no dine-in, it's not open in the evening, and it doesn't have an address here. It's a food cart, out on the sidewalk, during the day.

Szechuan chicken was really good and only $10!

This restaurant is in the Global Market Food Hall near the grocery cashier. Whenever we are in the area for shopping, we always stop by and order food from this place. It’s one of the best Chinese food we go to in Madison area (east town mall). We love the spicy crispy shrimp, salt and pepper chicken, eggplant w garlic sauce, squid in ginger and scallions. Delicious and portions are very generous.

The place serves more authentic dishes.水煮牛 or beef poached in chili sauce, fried chicken with fried chili, stirred fry pork intestines, lamb with cumin are my go to dishes. Eggplant dish and Kung Pao chicken are not bad just not authentic enough. If you get their WeChat, you can order party dishes like a whole tray of fish with fish head in chili sauce.

Had some food delivered. Tasted great, but apparently they put peanuts in the sauce for their Lo Mein and don't bother posting that anywhere. So now I'm in the middle of an allergic reaction. Called to ask about it and got told it's been their recipe for 27 years and I should've just avoided the sauce.

Great special with fried rice and egg roll. It included pork egg roll but we substituted with vegetable egg roll. The Szechuan shrimp and cashew chicken specials were great value for the $$$. We ordered on a Sunday afternoon through Grubhub and it was ready for pickup within 10-15 mins. Would recommend.

Found a bone in the sesame chicken. Needless to say I stopped eating after that. Thank god that wasn't the bite I gave my toddler.

Really, really good vegetarian dishes. The General Tso's Tofu was absolutely killer. Also Vegetables in Hot Garlic sauce was delicious. I was able to sub a veggie roll for the free egg roll promo as well; the staff were accommodating. Delivery was faster than expected as well.

Hands down the best Chinese food in Madison. My son and I have been patrons of this fine establishment for more than a decade. Our favorites are Chicken Lo Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken, General Tso's Chicken, Beef and Broccoli and their amazing Chicken Fried Rice! All excellent meals! I cannot even recommend them enough! You must try China Wok right NOW! You will not regret it!

Welcoming place. It faces a busy street and doesn't have a parking lot; I found curbside parking behind the establishment on one of the side streets nearby. I enjoyed my dish and thought it had a very authentic taste and preparation (reminiscent of spicy Hunan cuisine). The owner is helpful and explains English/Chinese translations of the dishes. Most dishes besides appetizers are $10 and up but they offer large portions for the price. Will come again!

So good and authentic! Highly recommend this place. It is spicy, but in a good way!

The food is delicious and the price is very affordable. It is a very good party experience and I will continue to place large party orders.

My friends and I order from A8 China almost every time we are craving Chinese food. I had originally heard of this restaurant from my work place a couple of years ago and have been recommending them ever since. I have had nothing but great experiences with this restaurant. I've never dined in, but delivery is always quick and they're always incredibly friendly when I come to pick up. The food is always hot, delicious, and the portion sizes are excellent. The chicken is tender and doesn't have any gristle, which is something I've experienced with other restaurants. Plus, again, they do NOT skimp on any of the food! Every now and then, they won't have a specific drink if you order online, but they always substitute it for something else. A lot of the times, they'll include a drink with your delivery as a curtesy! I can't express how much I truly enjoy ordering from here and I highly recommend it if you haven't tried them yet. :)

Ordered right before closing, but the food was still decent. Definitely American Chinese food with a ton of oil. I liked the coconut shrimp and peanut chicken. The peanut chicken has a very light flavor of peanut. Again, everything was very oily. Customer service was below average. They couldn't get my debit card to process. Just paid with cash. They gave me 85% lo mein and 15% of the two entrees. Not super impressed. I would recommend trying other Chinese American Madison restaurants over this one.

The food here is real good, but depending on how late you go the choices start to get pretty limited because they aren't willing to make another batch (hence the four star rating). Otherwise it's a good cheap Chinese place. I'd recommend the Mei Fun noodles and the Honey Chicken.
