Ordered because they left it on the door of our apartment. I’ve ordered from other places so I know the general taste of takeout Chinese. When I say this place was mediocre, I mean it had no flavor at all. Like, it tastes of NOTHING. No salt, no spice, no real flavor of anything it was so weird. It wasn’t inherently bad, however the lack of flavor was astonishing to say the least.
Chung Hing Chinese Restaurant
It’s a Chinese restaurant! The food is well priced and tasty. The crab Rangoon I got during my last visit was a hair over fried, I like might a light golden brown but the ones I got were much darker, but everything else was delicious. The sweet and sour chicken, in particular, was some of the best I’ve ever had. Pick up was quick and easy, and my food was ready basically as soon as I could have gotten there. All around, if you’re looking for a Chinese place for dinner, this is definitely a good spot to try!
I was first introduced to Chung Hing as a kid. My family and I frequented this gem in Short Pump for lunch and dinner. The service (takeout or dine-in) is always quick but most importantly, warm and inviting besides the amazing food of course. I'm continuing the tradition of taking my children there now too and each time, they're excited to try something from their wide variety of entrees. They have been the best Chinese restaurant in Short Pump through & through!
Panda Express
I ordered door dash pick up. The manager was really mean to his employees. He was being short and rude with them. I could tell that the employees were embarrassed by the way they were spoken to by a manager. On top of that, they ran out of one of the entrees and just didn’t give me a 3rd one when I ordered a bigger plate. I only got a serving of two entrees. I won’t be back. There are other Panda expresses that are better than this location. That’s disturbing. The whole experience.
I go to this location since it is very close to work and on the way home, the food is okay, their entrees have more veggies than protein,of course their portions changed as well for the last couple years BUT their workers are super nice and pleasant. Brandon is a gem, such a nice person, always kind and friendly, every time i go there( after a loooong tiring day of work) this kid makes my day. His professionalism and devotion are remarkable. This kid deserves a raise and recognition.
China Wok
This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had! Today I ordered some food (noodles, shrimp, orange chicken) and when I got back home I saw the the food had no seasoning, the meat was old, the shimp had horrible taste, and the chicken was outdated. In the orange chicken I found big chunks of orange peels. I don’t encourage no one to eat at this place! Horrible food and bad quality!!
The food has been really good here! We usually do take out but this time we decided to dine in for lunch.
Lin's Garden
My first and last time ordering at Lin's Garden... Ordered by Door Dash, which as usual did their job. Lin's did not. I requested fried rice with my entrees, but I received white rice. Although, I cant see that I was charged for the Fried Rice. Egg drop is great just needed a bit of salt, Sweet and Sour Chicken is heavily breaded w/little pieces of chicken, however you do get alot so its basically Sweet and Sour fried dough. Cashew Chicken, well let's just say I hope you like celery, bc that is all ya get with a few cashews as a garnish. We should have heeded the review on the Spring Rolls, no flavor, or filling. Also ordered the General Tso's, but my son hasn't eaten yet.... cant rate that entree. $70.00 and very disappointed.
I found a staple in my fried rice. The rice was mushy, not fresh! This wasn’t my first time ordering from here but it will definitely be my last. So disappointed ☹️
